If you haven't already, please watch my previous video on how to start a hair company with five simple steps. Just a little background. I started my hair business and in one year I was able to make $ 40,000 find a hair company that hair company. I absolutely did not have any inventory at all and I was able to make $ 40,000 in one year. Okay, so you can definitely do it too. You can end up making way more than 40-thousand just follow my five simple steps. So if you want to watch that video, please click the link above, but it click the link. So you can go ahead and watch that video and then come back to this one. Okay, what is Alibaba Alibaba is pretty much a wholesale website. They sell almost everything from clothes to metal medical supplies to packaging to stuff for your garden. They sell almost everything whole-cell. A lot of you are familiar with Aliexpress, which is an extension of Alibaba. The only difference is Aliexpress is solely everything from China. Alibaba is everything from China in the entire world, so Alibaba is a bigger database for my hair company. I have two different vendors that I have found them both on Alibaba a long time ago, like 2010, somewhere between 2010 and 2012. I found my vendors on Alibaba. I prefer Alibaba over Aliexpress, because Aliexpress has made it so easy um, hence Express so those vendors on Aliexpress are noticeable by almost everybody, as you can see, everybody's getting their hair from Aliexpress, and, as I mentioned before in my previous five-step video, you don't want to Pick a vendor on how to express, because with these Chinese companies, if they only have 10 to 20 people working their company and they're getting thousands of orders, their quality of hair is going to go down because Chinese people are natural hustlers. They will hustle you if they got ta stay up all day to fulfill all these orders. They will they're, never gon na, say: oh, we don't have enough people working our company, so we're gon na stop accepting orders. They don't do that. You get over 50,000 orders in one month in England, with 10 or 20 nm, don't care they're, gon na work all day all night and you're. The quality of your hair don't be terrible, but they got your money and they not giving out my refunds. So it is what it is: that's how they think. So, that's why I will use Elias prices for vendors nope. No man, that's just like when a popular youtuber do a review on Aliexpress company and that popular youtuber, gay, great quality hair, and it's not because they're a popular youtuber. It'S because that company they don't have no customers and they try to find customers and their quality. It'S up to par, but now the first day they give a hundred thousand views on a video. Not again, all these orders, the company gets slammed with orders and next thing you know the quality of the hair goes down and you read through the comments section of that popular YouTube, bird and they're. Just like, oh, this hair is trash, I'm convinced they only send a good hair to the popular youtubers and yeah yeah. You get that mixed in here, so the popular youtubers, it's the thing was to submit. They wasn't prepared for the. I can't talk. It'S the fact that it wasn't prepared to receive all of those orders. You know when I use Alibaba to find a vendor. I pretty much go by the process of elimination, so this is pretty much my process. This is we have our search vendors. The first thing you have to do is search so you're gon na put in a search bar version here right if you're looking for anything in particular version brazilian hair version of mongolian here, a version of malaysian here, it's really not going to matter, because if you End up choosing and chinese vendor all of those names is, are pretty much a marketing scheme or whatever you want to call it. It'S all marketing, it's all the same type of hair, then just throw a different name on it. Okay, let's say all of the hair is just chinese hitter, they're gon na market, this Chinese hair as indian brazilian malaysian my goalie in peruvian and all of its just going to be chinese hair. It'S just a marketing gimmick, whatever you believe is popular. That'S what they're going to market it as so, i recommend not putting that in your search term, because you're going to get the same thing regardless. Okay, if you're not looking for a chinese vendor, what you're gon na do in a drop-down menu, you're gon na select the origin, the location that you want the hair to come from. So if you want indian here click on india for the location, you want to find your hair. Ok, so you have all those different locations. Just choose it now. You'Re gon na find you're gon na realize, when you click like on russian or stuff, like you're gon na realize that there's not that many vendors out there because nobody's really selling russian here at all, especially if you see people selling rushing here and it started at $ 45 anywhere between forty to sixty dollars, a bundle, that's my real russian hair. It shows Chinese hair and they just threw the title Russian on there and then the first step in the process of elimination would be looking at the photos. I do not like any company that uses a stock photo only because, like I said Chinese people are natural hustle areas, they are still each other pictures. They all stood at same stock photo every company gon na have that same stock photo. So I really try to look for him pictures of hair to have different backgrounds in it made me like the company's logo in the background or maybe they're outside, or maybe they took the pictures on a wood floor. Maybe that's what they pictures on a countertop. I'M always looking for real pictures and not stock photos because it's like I said they all still each other photos, so I need to make sure it's a company that I can trust a company that take their own okay. Now, once I look at those photos, I'm also looking at the hair in the photos like what do we end look like? Are the ends like scraggly Shuang II? Do they look dry because of the hairless right on the photos? You can't be my bender. Okay, that's a no-no. You always want to be able to. You got ta, have an eye for what good hair look like good hair look healthy from root the tip it look healthy. It got a natural and nice luster to the hair. It has like a little shine, but it don't look like classy like a synthetic like you got, ta have a eye of wet good hair, looks like and then based on what the photos look like. I start favoring the companies okay. So after ER, I probably favorited a good ten companies, I'm gon na take a notebook, and I'm gon na make a list for all of those companies on there, because I'm gon na start marking them off. With my process of elimination. First step you want to look at the photos, make sure they're not spot photos, because spot bubbles mean that they are spilling each other photos and then based off the way. The photos look you're, not a favorite. The companies are favorite to product you favorited. These products are a favorite in the company. You want to go back and revisit all this stuff, your favorite it and you want to go and look at the company's profile. Now you want to do this because you some of these companies, they're selling, hair but they're, also selling other stuff, so you want to make sure their primary focus is selling hair. You might find that somebody's companies they're selling a hair on the side, but they're also selling medical equipment, and that's just not right. You want a company that specialized in virgin hair, or you might see a company that Silver's in here, but they also mainly sell synthetic hair. I wouldn't trust that company okay, then you want to see if they have social media accounts. Okay, they'll, let you know like if they have whatsapp Instagram Facebook. You want to check out their social media accounts because those accounts will let you see what other photos they have. They might have real photos and real videos of them with the hair. So you can really see a better quality also, I would recommend searching their company's name on YouTube, because some of these companies do have YouTube pages. Not only might have my ten subscribers, you've met YouTube, but they have YouTube pages and you can see real-deal videos of what the quality of this hair is that even give you like this whole video of how their company is set up their staff. What it looks like in their working environments, that type of stuff, so you can really see how legit the company is by looking at their videos on their YouTube page, and also this is probably the most important thing. Do a Google search on the company so put the company name and then put reviews because chances are if it's a bad company there will be a beware: do not purchase hair from this company when you do a Google search, okay and most of those reviews come From I think, black hair media be hm almost like a forum - everything black hair. Oh after you went through that whole elimination process. Whatever companies you have left, those are the ones you're going to send an inquiry to okay, so you're gon na send them a message. You'Re gon na ask them hey I'm interested in your hair. Do you accept paypal? Do you accept simple orders and do you ship to the United States? Those are the three most important question. It'S okay! You want to ask a fair, sell PayPal that way they seen you some damn trash hair. If they don't see you nothing at all, they just took your money. You can put in a claim and get your money back through PayPal. Okay, so make sure they accept paypal and if you don't have a PayPal account, go ahead and set one up, because PayPal is here to help you. Secondly, you want to ask if they allow simple orders. Some of these companies are big companies. They'Re not going to entertain you trying to purchase two bundles three bundles of hair. That will have minimum qualities where you have to order a hundred bundles at one time or you have to order ten bundles at one time. We don't have the money for that. Okay, we only need two simple. We need two simple, the hair first, to see if it's even worth, buying wholesale okay and also as a face ship to the United States, nine to ten chances they do, but you still just want to ask and if all of those come back as are yes, Then you're proceeding as the rest of the price. What is their price list? Okay, they they'll tell you how much the bundles cause they'll also tell you how much shipping is to the United States and typically, I will order to 16 inches, because you want to keep your cost low. A 16 inch isn't too short, but it isn't too long either and two bundles is usually enough for it, a partial sewin or, u part, wig, that way, you can wear it and test out the hair when you do test out the hair, because you are trying To quickly start your business, I would recommend the bare minimum test out your hair for one to two months because, like I said in my previous video, better hair is usually bad by the third week. I don't know why it's always week, three like after you don't wash the hair and week three come and the hair fried, and it's and like crazy. If the hair can last a month two months, the heck it lasts a year. Okay, but typically bad hair, usually messes up around the three week mark think about it. You get a quick weave with like some premium bling here at the beauty supply store some synthetic hair. I know you're on a budget that quick weave only lasts two weeks. Three weeks at the most and that hair is trashed, so it's the same way. That'S how you're able to tell if the hair is really good or not. My hair from my company I've been wearing that hair for years, but it doesn't take years to test out here. Okay, some of y'all don't have that time. Yeah! I don't have time to test out here for a year y'all trying to start our businesses right now. So, yes, that's pretty much how I find my vendors and I love tearing out the vendors I use. No, because those my vendors and the last night I want is for a hundred more people to start using my vendors. You know, then, the probably eat of my hair gon na go down, and I don't need that which I could definitely find y'all vendors on Alibaba. It'S nothing wrong with it. It'S absolutely nothing wrong with Chinese vendors. 90 % of these hair companies out here use a Chinese vendor. Okay, don't be surprised, they'll, be shocked. Don'T think that Chinese people will give you bad quality. Okay, all these bundles everybody rockin come from China. They come from China. It is what it is. Okay, so hopefully I'm able to help I'm probably gon na do another video after this so stay tuned. But so, if you have any questions, leave them below. I respond to every single comment and sometimes it's good to just read through the comments, because I'm more than likely, I already answered your question. Okay,

tiyana lewis: i can't wait to see everyone in these comments flourish with their businesses, we got this. and thank you for your information eboni.❤️❤️

Just ChamGiselle: I’ve been debating for months what type of business I wanted to open and it started with apparel which I’m still going to do but now I’m honestly passionate about having my own hair company because I love hair and that’s literally what I know more about. Thank you❤️

ARiKMARiE TV: I love your content. I’m in the process of getting my business to its full potential. You’re speaking the TRUTH especially when it comes to the grades too it’s so annoying when you know lol. Thank you so much for being a woc dropping knowledge to your sisters & not wanting to take advantage of their lack of education.

Ms Cali: A lot of people fail to realize that a lot of the hair may say Peruvian, Malaysian,or Russian hair like you said but they named it that because the hair is only mimicking the texture and the curl pattern of the hair it does not mean that it's coming from those countries I've learned that years ago I really like your Channel I'm learning a lot

MMM MUKBANG: Hey ebony! You’ve motivated me with these simple steps. I’m thankful for you! Question. Should I start to grow my following on my hair business page NOW? Or wait until I find a vendor by your process of elimination check list and then start to grow my following so I can gain customers? Thx girl!

Bria Diamond: Eboni thank you so much for being so transparent and honest about your experience with hair vendors, packaging and starting your business. ❤️

Leeleesqueezy: I'm learning so much from you! I'm interested in attending a seminar on all your tips and tricks on marketing, common mistakes, businesses struggles, personal motivation methods, paying yourself and putting back into your business, etc. I feel like some seminars are about installs and I'm just like okay I make awesome wigs but how do I market them?!

Essential Solutions 💎: I truly appreciate you! This is what YouTube videos should be! Short intro short outro and packed with top quality content! Thank you hopefully more people will follow your example

QuarterPastTwelve: Hey!! ❤️ I hope you see my comment! I ordered some blond hair bundles from West kiss and in total it was around $2,000 Canadian, for 34" bundles.. By two months the hair was complete opposite of when I first got it, it was fried and damaged, shedding like crazy, getting tangled and just looked awful. I was always really careful with it and only wash the hair one time... has this ever happened to you with blonde hair? And how should you know how much to pay? A lot of vendors are charging a crazy amount per bundle and the quality is garbage! Xx

Sean Donovan: I appreciate your video so much. You gave me enough where I feel like I can go out and minimize the risk looking for vendors. In the end it takes some trail and error but you're videos are dope! Sending love from nashville!

Niya Baby: I’m a Young entrepreneur trying to get my own business started, and will be saving with my first job. This helped a lot , I am more confident now.

Joseph Dreamhouse: Hi Eboni, I am a new subscriber. I had to subscribe because you are genuine and informative on the jewels you are giving us. I appreciate everything you have shared. I totally agree with you not giving your direct vendor. However, you given us the tools and know how to look for one. Thank you again!

SpiritualGod97: Thank you for sharing! I would like to ask, would you apply this same method if you were searching for a vendor who provides clothing apparel and if so, is it safe to purchase from China?

Daija: I have watched every video you have and subscribed to your channel! I can say you have helped me so much. I have tears in my eyes writing this! You have such a good heart to help out people like me dreaming to start a business god bless you !

Nicole Henry: I just found this video and it was very helpful for me, I'm all the way from Colombia in South America and I'm planning on starting my own hair extension business! I hope I can do all these steps by the end of this month so I can order some samples and try them trough the end of the year! Thanks for sharing this valuable information and inspiring other people to progress.

jessica robinson: As a business owner who had to put in countless hours of research and spend money on samples from a bunch of vendors it’s sad that no one is willing to put in the work to create something of your own. Everyone would rather run to YouTube or buy vendor plugs instead of doing the work

Morgan Williams: Omg Thank you soooo much. You taught me EVERYTHING I needed to know for starting my business. Other youtubers did not explain as well as you did, Thank you so much!!!

Kirstie Renee: I’m definitely subscribing I’m really trying to start a clothing/lash company and I believe I can learn a lot from you keep these in-depth videos coming. I’m really focused right now

Kalyssa Shakur: This was the best informational video. I wish you more success ✨

Dezhia23: Daaannnggg I’m so glad you used the quick weave example when it comes to testing hair. I use to be the beauty supply hair wearer and they do only last two to three weeks! I’ve always felt like I had to test the hair for two months (which I still am) but it kinda put it more into perspective. This literally just sped the process up for me now. Again, thank you for all your videos and guidance. I know your tired of my comments but they you really are a big help lol

Queen Cee: Hey Eboni. I hope all is well. I have a question about Alibaba vendors. I have been researching some of them for a few weeks now and I wanted to know if a hai vendor having a lot of followers is a good sign? Also, is a cheap vendor a realistic thing on Alibaba? I’ve been kind of skeptical?

J e n: OMG I love you!!!! You explained everything clearly, straight to the point! You're hilarious & your laugh is so cute <3

easternhair: Love watching your videos, EverythingEboni. Thank you for such creative informative videos. Great job, Hard job Im sure. If you dont mind let me add few extra advices as well for Your Audience, Please pay always attention to history of the vendor, wholesaler. retailers and resellers, usually look for reviews which is great however there so many companies are offering paid reviews nowadays, Any company simply may buy reviews or even buy negative reviews on their competitors' pages Please check Vendor history, history checking is pretty simple: go to their instagram pages, see their videos, pictures, followers, follows, etc ) go to their facebook, and do same, check their timelines and pages go to vendor's youtube page, that shall show you a lot - extremely important! and then try with reviews, but never trust on reviews. As reviews are easy on cheating. As a professional Hair Educator and Hair Supplier, I always do advice to retailers do some history checks on those three main platforms instagram, youtube, facebook. Once you have gained enough info simply compare different vendors to each other, then you will be able to take right decisions. Tons of wholesalers do exist nowadays, but most times you see on their instagram stolen videos, stolen pictures, same product over and over, etc.. If you need an advice feel free to dm.

Christie Sagaille: girl, you are heaven sent, I take so many notes during your videos, I'm glad I decided to look at your channel before going in to start my business blindsided.

NACHELLE KAYY: I love your videos. My friend and I are/been wanting to start are hair business. she recommended me your video. Ever since I watched the "how to start your hair business" I've been hooked. Your very detailed and give out great and positive information. & A question that I have would be how would you go about doing Pre-Orders? because that's what we decided on so far. I wouldn't want there to be a delay for my customer getting there hair. like if I order hair from my vendor and then have to wait till it gets to me and then send it to my customer. I'm pretty sure you have to do that but I want to make sure all my customers get their orders on time. Thank You, Love.

Prancer 1000: Thank you for all of your advice. Very detailed video on how to get started with this. Well done!

Life As Kay: I absolutely agree on not using AliExpress vendors and the Chinese people do take your money no matter what the quality is

Rockï Evanescent: Preach sis. Very informative! I used KBL haven’t installed hair yet, however the hair seems to have quality. I tested on heat and it took well to the heat. I would have liked your video however you didn’t give up any of the vendors that you currently use. No bueno!

Donna Jones: I am a lace wig seller and wearer due to Lupus and Alopecia, Although I have a vendor, the information here is on point. I am just refreshing my knowledge on the new information out there. Like I said I have a vendor, and been using him since 2005, I am looking for vendor with variety of textures and colors for all women to relaunch my business.

prendeprende1: Thank you for doing this videos, am gonna try to watch every single one to learn everything. Thanks for explaining so well. ♥️ You are so humble love that. God bless you.

Isabel Cee: Omg thank you. I was wondering why my leggings came out so cheap even though it said high quality I'm not selling hair but this really helped!

Jarena Bates: Hi, I admire your ambition and I wish you great success. I do want to know what steps did you take on the business in. Everyone talks about vendors, logos and drop ship. But what do we need on the legal business end. An Ein number, llc, business license?. I’m just curious on we’re to start. Thank you

Iam Blessing: Really enjoyed the video and how you gave detailed info. I just had to subscribe. I really loved how you explained everything ❤

yulovecookii xoxo: I’m so happy you posted this! This video is so real and informative. And btw you’re beautiful and wish u nothing but more success !!

ContourDedra: I love how she is straight to the point

Shay Lanett: Hey hun thanks so much for the info. Quick question tho, most of the vendors I send inquiries to want me to give them my WhatsApp number which is something I don't have. Did you need to create one to communicate with them?

Ms Cali: And that's why I don't order hair from AliExpress because they steal people's pictures from celebrities to YouTubers that don't even wear their hair lol

M Blan: Thanks for the awesome video. What do you consider a good price point to be profitable? For example for 20 inch hair what’s the most you will pay per bundle?

PrettyP: Unfortunately PayPal doesn’t cover “custom made goods that are significantly not as described” so if you order a 200% density wig and you receive a 130% density wig, your outta luck sweetheart.

Epic Stylez Boutique, LLC: God Blessed You. I have been watching your videos for a while now. I watch your videos for my startup business checklist of my plans and legal paperwork. You are so helpful. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the world.

Ruxy Bratz: Excellent tips and items for start my business! I wanna make a playlist with your videos

islandgalD: first of all your skin is BEAUTIFUL and secondly this was so helpful. thanks for the help my dear. i'm still navigating through alibaba because it's a process and waiting to hear back from vendors is a whole other all game lol

Ms B: Do you have to have a seller's permit in order to sell bundles?

Hlu Lanie: You just got a new subie you encouraged me to start my own business I'm from South Africa and came across your "5 step video " yesterday n I posted on my Facebook that I sell hair n today I got my first order

Faith Shaya: Thank you so much love. I wrote down all the steps. I'm glad I found your channel after a long struggle and I subscribed thanks for helping a lot.

VPfyi: Damn girl you are smart. Very informative and educational. I’m subscribing!

Brittney M: Hello, Your video was very helpful. Thank you. I wanted to know do you recommend searching China in your search filter only ? I noticed you mentioned that Majority of the hair comes from China anyways so would it make since to just search China

TressedforSuccess: Hey Eboni, how do you test samples for at least a couple of weeks without losing your money? Like if it doesn’t work out and you want a refund

Josseline Rustrian: You’re so helpful !!! Thank you beauty!

Catreana-Katrina: I'm in the process of starting a plus size shapewear boutique and this was the most helpful video on vetting vendors

keaa Mokoena: Hey @everythingeboni I wanna ask when choosing a vender should you choose a verified account or just any? Thank you

Brandi Beckham: I’m so grateful for you making this video, i have found two vendors with good reviews and now all i have to do is send the message to them as far as the sample orders and PayPal

Never Too Late Kish: Very informative sis!! Thank you!!❤️

lethal venusian: Girl this video helped a lot thank you so much

naenaez01: I'll tell you another reason not to do business with Ali Express, I was a regular customer with a few vendors and I changed my email address and they would not update my information I could not receive confirmations or get alerts from the vendors. Take a look at their support that is listed and it seems as if a preschooler developed it. Their customer service is the worst ever and to think that a business income would be dependent on their customer service is scary. So, Ill not get a vendor from Ali Express.

Steven’snails NBeauty: Hi eboni. I do have a question? Do the vendors send the sample hair first before buying all the hair or do you pay for it and they send the sample with your order

antoinette lake: You are truly a blessing thanks hun for the information

Janisha Black: Thank you so much for this, sis!!!

Jai Moore: Is there a way to get the companies to use a certain type of lace or do i have to find the companies with the specific lace i want?

tiaira nicole: I asked on a different video but i don’t think i worded it correctly. Let’s say u get 20 orders in a week, would place an order to ur vendor as soon as u get each order? Or would u wait until the end of the week to make one complete order? Just trying to fully understand the ordering process. Ur videos are very helpful and the best I’ve seen yet!

J Rah’jzae: Great video ♥️ very helpful !

Antania Quinn: YOUR SOOO HELPFUL !!!! DIDNT SUGAR CODE ANYTHING . THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️

I've been buying hair for over ten years now so am confident on upkeep etc. I now buy my hair from a vendor with amazing quality hair that lasts over a year regardless of dying -rediyng (correctly of course) and straightening/curling. It is also a black owned business. The only issue I have is it costs too much to ship to the UK. what are your shipping costs plz

Lilly Baddie: This is so helpful thanks x
