All right, y'all, it's been a minute since i've dyed hair, but i have been inspired to try some color if i wear another, just all black wig, i'm going to go nuts. So today we have a wig from diva's wig and i wanted a more chocolate look with pops of blonde in it, and so that's what i'm going to be doing for the first part of the video i added time stamps for you guys, i'm trying something new. So this video has a bunch of different things that are happening in this video, so i have the beginning part talking about the color, i'm going to go more in depth, because a lot of people on instagram were just like where'd you get the hair, i mean How did you color the hair, how to get the color, and it's really just a matter of me experimenting this day now i did use 20 developer, which was my first time ever using that to die here, because usually i do 30 or 40 so that it Can be stripped faster, but i was you know, i'm moving, i'm in the process of moving and so what's not packed away. I was trying to use so i'm using 20 developer and bw2 powder to complete this first stage of the process and if you can see i'm using the brush to create a gradient flow towards the roots, that's so it's not harsh and it kind of flows. The black roots will flow into the newly colored hair, so don't just take your brush and paint it paint it regularly. You want to turn the brush sideways and create a very ombre effect, so i kept this on the hair for about. I believe it was an hour i let it do its magic. Then i washed i shampooed and conditioned the hair before we got to stage two now you're going to want to blow dry the hair. You can either air dry it, but i was on a mission. This day i wanted this wig to be done, so you can air dry, it come back to it tomorrow and then complete the second process totally up to you, but make sure it's air dried, i mean make sure it's dried all right. So these are the colors. I'M going to be using 5bz both from clairol. They were on sale, girls, so you know i got me some colors, so this one and then this 5g, which is not they're, not much of a difference. I believe, like i believe the colors are very similar to each other, so but i like to actually pour it in a bowl and mix it. That way, i don't know i feel like it's just so much easier to work with, so i did that um mixed everything together now when i was doing this hair color, i was like i was really hoping for a brighter chocolate brown. I could have bleached the hair again, but i was like nah i didn't want to like go crazy. The whole point was for this to be the most easiest dye job ever and it was so no need to go now. There'S the hair color. It did lift very well for it to be 20 developer and sitting on the hair. For that long. I i some hairs are very weird, but let this sit on the hair for about 45 minutes to an hour. I think i did an hour full and just let it i'm really saturating that color into the hair. I don't want any of the pieces that were on it before to show, so i wasn't as satisfied with the brown part of this wig. So what i ended up doing was taking that same mixture from step, one, the bw2 powder and 20 developer, and i took up large pieces of the hair, especially in the front, and i painted those sections with the bw2 powder 20 developer mixture. Um. Just to add some dimension, i thought i was recording it, but to be honest guys, i think, because i had the gloves on, i never actually pressed record, as i was doing this part, but it's literally exactly what i just said. So if you have any more of that mixture, just take it and paint the front portions of the wig. Okay, now i have the wig on. I love the color and side. Note guys the chocolate brown actually was very chocolatey. Okay in the sun. You could see it, you could see it in the light. I don't know why. I think my eyes were just messed up that day, because i could not it looked black to me and then i was like oh crap, it's brown and actually, as i'm editing now, i'm like what the hell, it's actually very brown, so take your wigs out in The sun, before you add more color okay, so i'm gon na go ahead and install always cut the flaps off. You guys know that by the ears i feel like it. We know this, but i still have to say it to the people who are still new, because people always ask me: what do you do with that part if it doesn't fit so cut it cut it not too short brush your baby hairs back and oh always, Oil, your scalp just oil, it from the back like one inch from your hairline, because you don't want it to um, be too greasy. Now this video is kind of fun because i'm showing you guys how to make your wig sex proof swim proof all kinds of proofs. Okay, you're gon na use this clear thread: invisible thread: okay, you're gon na get your needle right, and there are four points you want: two right there and two by the ears. Okay, it's also a good idea to have braids underneath your wig, because you want to be able to stitch the wig onto something. Now i hate sewing. I hate sewing my wigs down. I hate commitments when it comes to this so but these little knots that we're gon na make make a huge difference, go ahead and make a nice clean part and you're gon na put tension onto the wig you're gon na pull down a little bit, not too Tight but you're gon na pull down a little bit and you're gon na. Take that clear, threaded needle and you're gon na you know loop it through the lace, be very gentle because it's gon na slip out of the holes of the lace and then you're gon na do about this you're gon na. Do this about three times we're putting the needle through the thread? Okay, as you can see, my finger is holding it and you're gon na do this about two to three times in the same spot, and then the last one you're gon na wrap it around three times wrap the thread around the needle three times. That'S going to lock it in then you're gon na pull, get your scissors and cut and then make three knots and then cut the excess thread and we're gon na do that for three more times in the points that i just pointed out. So when you cut it, you can see it's very invisible, you can't even see it, so you can still do whatever side part you want it to do with no issue see barely can see it now. Let'S do one by the air. The same exact step. Make sure you put a little bit of tension on it, i'm still going to glue my wig down, because i feel like the whole point of this - is for it to be extremely swim proof, and obviously, when you cut your lace, your lace is not going to Lay flat so um it's kind of both uh. It just makes the wig last long without having to actually sew the entire wig down my bad. I was eating the ice cream y'all. So for those of you who might be interested, this wig can also be worn. Clueless but today we're going to be using ghost bond glue. It'S actually one of my favorite glues. I don't like any other glue out there. Well, i only tried two, but i don't like any of the other glues. I love this one just make sure it's not expired. You'Ll know it's expired. If it's like a thick white type of texture, if it's nice and watery um or a little bit of a thinner type of liquid, then you know it's in good standing and you can use it so i've been using glue lately, because i tell you guys all The time got ta be glue, goes through phases where it might not work with your skin. It could be the weather it could be, maybe if you're using new products and so forth and right now it is just me and my skin yeah. No, so i've been using glue, but i've been using it the safe way. So i'm speeding up this portion of me installing my wig, because we already know how this is done and if you don't. I have other videos where i am telling you guys exactly how to and store your wig with glue. I used a little bit of powder foundation to just blend in the lace, a little more out any imperfections, and this is the time right now to fix them. But this lace looks so good and then, if you want to make your hairline more natural, just use a little tiny edge control brush a little toothbrush and just scooped in the way that you want your hair to be basically scooped all right. Now it's time to style, i'm going to be using my t3 curling iron, one of my favorite curl lines ever and you're, going to wrap this around and we're going to curl underneath and we're going to curl backwards. It'S kind of a mixture of both. So you can figure out which one fits best for you, and then you can use the curling iron as a hot comb in place of a hot comb to flatten the top all right. So this is how the hair looks. I love it. I love showing you guys how the wigs look with my natural hair. I mean my natural face and when i look done up, i think it just gives the wig two different looks. I love this color though this color next, we have our concealer, make sure it's very near to your skin color. It could be a teeny bit lighter, but make sure it's not like white make sure it has a yellow undertone, not red and you're, going to just make a straight part use your finger to take out any excess product. You can also use what's left on the brush to just color other parts of the wig, but thanks for watching this video wait till the end, so i could show you guys the end result. Oh my god. This hair divas wigs, i'm not like. I came a long way because this wig is amazing. I love the density. I love how it just felt like real. The hair was silky, even after all, that dying and manipulating honestly two thumbs up to this wig, and i also didn't have a headband in this way. Guys wait. Did i no. I didn't have a headband in this wig. Oh, my god, anyways i'll, see you guys in my next video bye,
