How To | Turn U-Part Wig Into Full Wig + Lace Closure Elastic Band Method (Detailed Tutorial)

Okay, so hey guys in today's video I'm going to be showing you how i turn my three fourth wig, also known as a u-part wig into a full wig by sewing my lace closure on to my youth part. Also to get my? U part, I'm sorry, my lace closure to lay flat. I will be using the elastic band method and I will also be doing that on camera, so if he doesn't like to achieve that or also watch how I do this, please continue on okay, so the elastic band that I will be using - and this is what It looks like is one it's one yard long and it's okay. This is white because it's going to be underneath, in my view, part anyway, and this is what the packaging looks like as well so yeah. So basically, I'm gon na go off and start off with the elastic okay. So the first step I'm going to do is of course, lay my closure down flat, and I do have my elastic band here with me, and the first step is well. What I'm gon na choose to do is sew one side of the elastic band on to one side of the lace closure, and I have my needle thread here. So, first and foremost, all I'm gon na do is begin to sew on one side of the last. Get down okay, so I basically sewed it down, and this is what it looks like and it's nice and snug I'm pulling on it and everything. So now I'm gon na do is go ahead and cut the thread and then next I'm gon na go ahead and measure it Wallis on my head. So I can get the perfect fitting of how much elastic I should use and sew down on the other side. Okay, now that I have my elastic band sewed onto one side of the closure to measure it out, what I'm gon na do is put the lace closure on my head, and I clip the hair just so it could stay out of the way. While I measure how much elastic I should cut so basically I put it on top of my head like so, and then I bring the elastic around the perimeter of my head like this whew, I lift up my closure, so I can measure it and I bring It around and I measure how much I would need to cut off and I'm not. I don't have a wrap around my head extremely tight, because what I'm going to do is I'm going to just measure it how it is so. It looks like it's about this. Much where the closure ends so about right there to me where my finger is so it's right here, so what I'm going to do now is I'm going to fold basically fold the elastic like two times just so I can cut it out a shorter length. Just so when I do sew the other side of the elastic, the closure will fit nice and snug around my head now too, tight and also not too loose. So I'm going to fold it one more time about this much so now I'm gon na go ahead and cut, take my scissor and cut it and there you go and now all I do is sew this other side on to the remaining side of my closure. Okay, so I just got done, sewing the elastic on the closure, so I'm just gon na show you how it would look once you put it on okay, so this is how it would be um. You can't really see it cuz, I'm my cap on, but it's fitting just laying really flat on my head very snug and that's how the elastic guy looks around your head and you got to be careful because you don't want it to be extremely tight, because that Can really cause headaches, but I measure mines perfectly fine for my closure: Thule extreme e-flat, so a breeze my head, so there you go now after I'm done sewing the elastic now. What I'm going to do is just go ahead and sew. My you part onto I'm. Sorry so my lace closure on to my you partly to make it a full way. This is how they finished. You part looks like looks like this with the elastic and lace closure. Now I'm gon na do is just um put it on for you guys, I'm not installing it in this video, but you guys would like to see that please, let me know but um. The thing is with this is the fact that I cut off the elastic around this cap. Basically, I will just have to sew the perimeter of my you part onto my ankle braids, so yeah, it's not like actual weight. I can just put on and put back on once I put this on. I have to sew it or not. If I don't, then it's going to be loose and and stuff, and I don't want that to happen. So I'm just gon na go ahead and put the apart or the full wig now on my head just to show you guys how fast the clothes you link and also just how it looks overall, yes, it looks crazy. I know I know okay, so I'm trying to get it to line with my parting, which is right here and I don't have just extent you can part. I have to show you guys. I know it's crazy now, but I have to do now to just go ahead and sew down the. U part or the rest of the cap down, and this is how it's going to look like, except fix a little bit and the elastic is not going to show one bit simply because of the hair being down so yeah. This is how I turn my three.
