Hey guys welcome back to a new video. We'Ve got another wig video for you guys. Today we are going to be comparing a 500 pound plus wig, with a less than 20 pound wig and we're gon na be seeing how the two compare. So if you're new here, i'm wondering why am i comparing wigs like what experience do i have with wigs? Why am i doing a wigs video? I actually have a whole video detailing why i wear wigs. I wear wigs full time and i've worn wigs that i glued to my head and keep on for as long as possible and um in the past year or so. I'Ve switched to wigs that i take off every evening just because it fits my lifestyle. A lot better, i do wear wigs 100 full-time, i'm wearing a wig right now and i wear wigs because i have pretty bad hair loss from my ocd, which includes trichotillomania, so make sure you watch that video and understand the general. Why i wear a wig. I'Ve. Also done a bunch of uh wig videos on this channel in the past few guys, including showing some of the wigs the new wigs i wear um currently and reviewing amazon wigs as well, and i thought i would start kind of this new series. It'D just be a couple of videos where we compare some of the wigs that i wear full-time now that i've kind of invested a lot of time on money into making sure i get wigs that are really comfortable, which is the more expensive wigs with um they're Kind of cheaper counterparts, so something that looks as similar as possible, but it's available for a really cheap price on amazon and those kind of websites just one. So we can see the difference in the quality of the wigs, but two so that, if you guys were interested in buying any of the wigs that i wear you'll be able to catch the links in the description below. None of those are affiliate links by the way i don't actually have an amazon affiliate account they're, just there in case, you guys want to check them out. So the wig that is the more expensive wig that i'll be wearing today is the maura mode wig. This is the first time i am using a wig from moro mode. I actually got recommended them like a bunch on instagram and when i was asking you guys for some recommendation of wigs, they came up as well and i actually mdm them on instagram and said. I would love to order a wig for you, i'm trying not with my wedding, which is in october this year. They said we'd love to do a collaboration. Can we send you a wig, so you can try it out first and maybe show your audience and then you can decide whether you want to like buy a full, because i want a really long wig for my wedding, like a 28 inch length, wig with, like The highest quality materials because it's gon na be for my wedding day, so it's really good to be able to try out one from them first. So today, we're gon na be trying out the montana custom, dulux lace, wig, it's a wavy, brunette wig, with subtle honey. Blonde highlights - and i have been sent this as a 16 inch hair lens - i'm thinking it does have baby hairs. I clicked yes on the website. My skin tone, obviously - and this currently has the lace front wig. What i would like for my wedding day is the glueless cup and bund, which obviously brings up the price considerably, which is why it's great to try a wig from them before ordering. Like the you know, the top of the shelf kind of line cup size is small. I have a really tiny head, but i do have very high ears. So what a lot of my wigs have is um. I have to cut up here. My ears sit very high on my head. What you can do when you go to certain wig styles, is get a fully custom cup, which i have done in the past, where they drop cling film, all around your head and then cut out where your exact wig would go. But that is if you're kind of looking at a 1 200 pound plus wig that's the kind of option you get for a fully fully perfectly custom cup. The density of this wig is 150 density, that's kind of where i've usually been with wigs. I would say this one that i'm wearing right now potentially is higher. Still, this could be like a 180, maybe even a 200 there's a lot of hair here. I have to flatten this one down every single morning this week. By the way, i plan to do a video on in the future, including my pink wig, it all depends on how much you guys like this video. So if you would like to see uh this wig versus an amazon equivalent on my pink wig that i often wear versus an amazon equivalent and maybe even my blonde one too, then please go ahead and let me know in the comments below, because i really enjoyed Doing these videos, for you guys and finally, the texture of this, i believe, is the loose curls. So the thing that i was really excited about moral mode for is this bit along the front right here. This wig that i'm wearing right now i plucked in my pattern and i've tried to kind of like pluck in a little bit here, but you can see it's still a very, very like solid, solid line. That'S how wigs traditionally were always made, but recently i've been seeing these really really natural kind of front of the wigs and maura mode in particular, seems to have a lot of these very, very realistic fronts. To the point where you can actually like fully tie your hair up, and it genuinely looks like it's her own hair on her head, which, as somebody who wears wigs full time, you're, always making sure that people can't tell it's a wig. If anyone ever casts their eye up to your hairline you're, like so um yeah, the fact that this looks so natural is really really exciting. We will see how it looks on so for all of those settings. The grand total for this montana wig by mora mode is 560 pounds. So it's definitely not your kind of like cheaper wig that you'll just buy off amazon i'd, say in terms of the more luxury wigs it probably sits at the low end, because i mean you can pay 2 000 pounds for a wig. Some people pay 10 000 pounds for a wig. 560 is kind of where i think you're starting to take your wigs a lot more seriously in terms of quality, that's kind of where you're going to come in. In my personal opinion, let me know if you think i'm wrong in the comments below and this hair is 100 human hair and the good thing about human hair is, you can treat it like? You would do your own hair as long as you use products to protect it, but you can curl it. You can straighten it. You can kind of do whatever you want with it, in the same way that you would do your own human hair and i'm going to be comparing this with the charisma, ombre brown, synthetic curly wig, it's a short bob wavy wig and it is synthetic hair, but It is fully heat resistant. This is human hair. This is synthetic hair. I'Ve had wigs that have both in the past my actual favorite wig that i wear most the time when i'm not recording is my short brown bob, and that is a half synthetic half human hair which works great because the synthetic keeps the shape and it keeps The shape of the human hair as well, so i don't necessarily dislike synthetic and think human hair is a lot better. This is 100 human hair, so both of them have pros and cons synthetic tends to keep its shape longer, but it does tend to like. I feel like it loses its quality, a lot faster, so yeah this one fully synthetic and for a grand total of 18 pounds 89 pence. This is how it looks on the website right here. I tried to get something that was as similar as possible to the um montana by maura mode, but also i wanted to go for a brand that i knew was very popular on amazon and obviously was very affordable, and i see a lot of these charisma wigs. I'Ve bought these in the past as well. So i thought this was a pretty good brand to go for and it's also dual toned like the moro mode, one as well, and it actually has 158 ratings and holds a four star. So that's pretty good. So the actual recommended way to wear this wig is with the like, invisible cup method which i have done in the past. But i don't love and i'm going to tell you guys why one, because i take my wig off at the end of every day. So i don't like gluing anything onto my head anymore, like this wig isn't glued on, but like it's not going anywhere, i can be pretty rough with her and like it's not going anywhere, and i'm going to show you guys how i keep my wigs on my Head the other reason i don't like to use the glue. One is because my hairline tends to start quite far backwards and very finely, and even if i'm being as careful as i can, with like glue and hairspray to glue my wig cap on, i still end up ripping out my baby hairs and damaging them. And as somebody is trying to recover from hair damage, it just doesn't make sense for me to use that method. So i'll show you what i use instead, okay, so let me uh take off my wig um okay, so this is what i do instead. So this right here is a velvet band. I put this around my head and the friction of the velvet backwards means that the wig cannot move because it can't like it doesn't like moving against the velvet. So it's a really good way to keep your wig on, and my hair is obviously pretty short. I actually leave my wisps down because i feel like they. If you tie your hair up, it looks more natural to have little wisps and what i will also do is put like a little pigtail here and here and then i'll put the band around it, and it keeps the bund underneath the pigtails and keeps it like Around the bottom of the head, which i just find, helps the wig stay on as well, and usually i don't even put a cup on i'm putting it on for this, but i don't usually even put a cup on. I found that i don't need it and my wig stay on anyway. So that is the solution i found as somebody who, like really doesn't like the idea of gluing and unsticking every day. I did it in the past. I'D find it really stressful if it unstuck. While i was out in a bowl - and i just don't ever want to go back to that, so i thought we would try the charisma wig first, so i'm gon na go for the cheap amazon, charisma wig first. This is the less than 20 pounds, one. Let'S see what you get for less than 20 pounds. What i will say is you actually get two wig cups for free. So that's why i can put this one on here is the wig? It'S actually like a similar color to the wigs that i like to wear so, and i can see that, can you see the two tones in there? It'S got the dark brown and the lighter one there. Okay, so let's get it out of the netting okay. Okay straight away, i can tell you see this front here. You see like how thick and unnatural the edging is. This is probably not gon na look very natural when i put it on my head. So here is how it looks on the inside. We'Ve got clips at the front here, there's no silk part or anything that i can see. Oh no, there is actually it does have a silk part, but it has a very narrow parting. I would need to pluck this considerably to make it look natural. It also has a clip on the back and these adjustment straps that you can attach to here to make the wig bigger or smaller i've got a pretty small head. So i'm going to make this quite tight. Oh wow, some of them are actually stitched down. So these are stitched down, so i actually cannot put this in there. I'M gon na have to move it right across to that one. Let'S see how this looks like on my head. Oh my gosh, it's huge! It'S absolutely huge wow, oh okay, yeah! This is kind of what i was getting at with the unnaturalness. This is really big. Like it's fully over my ears, it's clipped really far down the back of my head. I can pull it all the way to here. I just you would have to be a bit of a miracle worker to make this look natural. I, like the actual style. I like the wave like that bit. Is nice i'll brush her out a little bit it sucks, because i do like that style. I i can't curl my hair with straighteners. I have to use curlers, so i can't actually do this because it requires like a straightener. I think so i do like that style. However, i mean it's the part and isn't it this. This is just incredibly unnatural. Looking this is just not what the front of people's hair looks like you, don't immediately start with thick hair like hair, comes in gradually and builds up in density, whereas with cheap, wigs. What i found is that doesn't happen. This i mean you could try plucking it, but the lace underneath is um black, so you wouldn't be going through your own hairline you'd, be going through to like black lace, so actually probably wouldn't make that much difference. I do like the length i do like the length. I prefer really long hair, as you guys probably know, but yeah the actual. This bit's fine like this bit totally fine. The actual hair itself is fine. It'S the cup construction. This is kind of what you get for this money. I guess, however, let me try one thing: real, quick: okay, i'm going to do two tests, i'm going to try it under a hat on with a headband and see if that helps at all. Okay, headband, i mean it does get it out of my face, but it's kind of drawing attention to the to the awkward front. Okay, so a heart completely hides the top bit and then you can totally get away with this, like if you're planning on wearing it under like a beanie or a baseball cap. I think you could quite easily wear this wig and because the bottom bit's so good, you would be fine. You would completely get away with it, but the minute somebody like was like. Oh can i try on your heart? That'S when she comes up. I'M gon na just pluck the front real, quick and see if it makes any difference at all i've plucked in a thicker pattern. I'Ve i've taken out, like, i would say, considerable amount of hair and now i'm just going to add some of my concealer and foundation here to try and get this more similar to the color of my skin. So i've got my elf concealer here and just a little brush and i'm just kind of like painting on here now. I would never do this with the wigs that i wear every day because they're all lace, oh, they have like a good silk parting. I used to do it when i glued the wigs onto my head to make it look more natural, but now they've they match my skin color, so well that i don't need to do it and two. I would never want to get like makeup on the wig. So you can see with like my day-to-day wig, but it just doesn't need it. It looks like a human scalp so and it has the lace front as well, which sits flat on my head, so it really doesn't need it, but for something like this, it kind of does okay, it's not perfect, but i don't think there's much saving this wig. So, let's just give it a go. If anything, it's kinda drawn attention to how unnatural this wig is. I just don't think there's any saving. This is there. Without that lace front, it's just very hard to make this look natural, i mean i could try putting in some of my own wispies down and finally, i'm just gon na try tying it up just to see here's how it looks just tied up in a little Messy bun, basically a pure straight line i feel like. Maybe if you spent a lot of time and energy into trying to make this front bit look natural, you might be able to improve it somewhat, but honestly you're just always going to have this really abrupt line. Here, i would say it's the kind of wig: that's fine! If you want to wear a hat, perfect hot wig, perfect, like dress up wig, maybe if you wanted to put like a little uh scarf to like hide the front, because the actual hair that i genuinely like, i think it's really nice the front, just ain't it. I'M afraid so um. This is the less than 20 pounds wig. Let'S see how that compares to your kind of entry point luxury wig, so, first of all, the packaging is very nice. The charisma came in like a little plastic bag. The moral mode comes in like a gift box, which is really nice and okay. I feel weird doing this with this wig on my head, but let's go ahead and check this one out, so we've got instructions about how to use it, and then this is the wig itself. Okay, i feel a little bit embarrassed in front of this wig wearing this one. So i'm gon na do this one a bit of respect and take this one off, and here is the more mode montana. So i'd say the shades are definitely the caramel is a lot lighter than the wig that i picked from amazon but lengthwise. It seems kind of similar just less tightly curled and even before i can take it out. You can see that natural front straight away. Okay, so here she is that light. Color is way lighter than i was expecting, but it looks really nice. So i feel like straight away. We'Re gon na have to be quite delicate with this one and it's come. Obviously it's a lace front. So it's come with lace attached. If you look at the roots of this wig, you can see that they're very, like white. That means the roots have been bleached, which means that when you put it on your head, you're not going to be able to see the ties of where they've attached the hair to the lace cup. So usually when they tie that there. You get a black knot and when you see someone with a wig on often if the knots aren't bleached, you can really tell because you'll just see loads of black dots coming on the head, whereas if they've bleached, the knots like they have here and this like I'Ve had wigs in the past where some of the knots have been bleached and others haven't, but the bleaching of the knots on this wig is really really good like you can just let let you see that or white, and then, if i put my hand in Front you can't see those knots anymore at all. They just perfectly blend into my hand, because they've been bleached. That'S why bleaching? The knots is super super important. Okay, i don't usually um cut the lace of my own wigs because i usually actually get my wigs out. Like a salon - and they do this bit for me - so i'm a little bit scared, but i'm gon na give it a go. First of all, i'm gon na put the wig on so here is how she looks on the outside. You can see that it's like a lace cap all the way at the front here and then switches to like this material at the back. We'Ve got this to keep it on the back of our heads, the same as with the charisma wig. But oh my gosh love this there's also this bun to keep it on which i can adjust and this this is gon na keep it attached to our skin because it's like a frictionless rubber, rubbery material. Okay, my head is fleece size. So again, i'm gon na go quite tight with this, so i can adjust with the strap here, and i still have these at the back just to keep everything together as well, and these ones have not been sewn down so that i can't put the strap through. So some of the things to look for when you're buying a more high-end wig is when you want to see how many like broken hairs, are throughout they'll, be pretty obvious, you'll be able to see them all sticking up. It'S frustrating when you pay a lot for a wig, and you get a lot. I'Ve had that in the past with wigs, but i'm seeing here like you, can kind of do this to tell obviously you're going to get a few broken just be the way that um wigs are made. But this is pretty good. There'S not a lot at all and another way to tell is down at the bottom here which again i can see some, but it's kind of what i would expect. I'M going to put it on with the lace and i'm going to try cutting the lace off on my head, but i'm not great at this okay, and this is the difference, a natural hairline, and this is actually a very ready-toned wig as well. Okay, i'm really scared to cut the slice. I actually think i'm gon na do it off my head, because i'm probably gon na mess it up and to cut lace on wigs. It'S scary, you just go in and what i'm probably gon na do is cut about. Here so i'm going very close, but like what i find is, if you go too tight, your rig will roll upwards. So you kind of want to leave a little bit, so you can help it sit flatter onto your head. So here she is on here. Is the montana and, as you guys can see what i've i have on my wigs, i usually wear? Is they have like um a metal like you can mold these bits and they stick to the sides of your head. This one doesn't have it so what i'm gon na do is - and i used to do this, but i've not done it in a very long time because, like i said i don't love sticking them onto my head, i don't like gluing them down, but i'm just Gon na stick these sides down real, quick and i'm literally just using hairspray while that's drying. One thing i will say is: i think that the cup that i got is too like yellow and not like uh peachy enough, and that's why i like. I don't know if you can tell, but this fits my skin under here and then this bits, the cuff and you can see that the bit under my skin looks a lot better than the bit with the cup. So i think actually getting a higher quality cup. Would improve this wig even more so, okay, so look at this front. This is actually wild like that is so natural looking. This is more natural than my full-time wig like. If you just saw someone with this hair, i don't think you would ever doubt that this was their hair, especially because i can like tuck it behind my ear, which i can't with my actual wig, because the density is like 200, so i can't get it behind. My ear, i mean that's wild. That is crazy. My mind is actually kind of blown right now. I kind of really want to have a go at like blow-drying the front down, because i would never blow dry. My hair back like this for somebody with a big forehead. The last thing we want is backwards. Hair. I tend to go more flat, hair, so i'm kind of tempted to give that a go. It'S been styled to the product because i can feel it in the hair. It'S like a little bit oily, there's a little bit of hair drop as well, but that's kind of very expected with a wig. You just want a new wig. Sorry, you kind of just want to make sure there's as little as possible. There is a little bit, but that is so wild i'm actually blown away. I really wish my um cup was the same color as my skin, because i think, if i did that and this bit wasn't as um brassy, then you would just never be able to tell oh my gosh. I could actually like full-on wear headbands with this. I could have like full blur walled off energy and no one would be able to say why have you got a really solid, hairline now claire, because look at that this is more natural than my own hairline. This is so crazy. I want to try tying it up or like half and half that would look cool. I never tie my hair up because i feel like in wigs. You can always tell you guys will know from watching my videos that my hair's, like the same every single time. It'S always down because i'm always just scared. It'S gon na look too obvious. If i tie it up, but i just don't think you'd tell how would they know how would they know so? I'Ve just gone for like a very like loose ponytail because uh, i don't really like the chic look on myself because, like i said, i'm quite foreheady, i'm just literally looking at the camera like viewfinder in amazement, because i mean especially with my own wisps down as Well, i mean i can't see at the back, so you guys will have to. Let me know, does it look, does it look natural at the back? I can't see. Oh my gosh. I'Ve got just a big smile on my face. This is really good. This bit keeps coming unstuck. I haven't really stuck them down properly. It'S not the right way to do it, there's a much more long process better way, but, like i said i like to be a lazy, wig wearer, i'm just so impressed, i'm just so impressed. I feel like you could change the pattern as well like i'm not going to do it now, but i feel like you could quite easily change this to a middle pattern and it would be totally fine. I actually don't think you'd need to pluck it if you wanted to change the pattern. Okay, give me one sec, i'm gon na style this bit a bit flatter, because i just don't enjoy this high amount of height on myself and i may try and change the pattern and i'll be back in one sec. Okay, so i've styled it to my usual pattern, which is a middle part and like would you ever know, the only thing i can tell is where my wig cup starts and that's nothing to do with the wig on everything to do with my wig cup. Not matching my hair color, i don't usually wear a wig cap because it's actually built into my day-to-day wig, and this is pretty close to my hair color. So you can never tell when i'm wearing this that um i've got a well. You might be able to tell this week, but you can't tell from the top um, so i will have to invest in trying to find a wig cup that matches my hair color. If i was to wear this wig more also, i cannot wear my velvet band with this for the same reason, because you're just going to be able to see this very very clearly underneath the wig, which means i do have this constant fear of it moving backwards. But this wig is designed to be glued down. I'Ve obviously glued down the edges, but everything here is just sup on my hairline. If you were to wear this wig properly, you would glue those bits down which would help out a lot with that. However, this wig does come in the glueless version, which is something i really want to try because, like i said, i just don't enjoy gluing it down, it's not for me, it takes up too much time and i'm already like struggling to pack everything i need to Do in a day anyway, so whilst i've done it in the past, i just don't enjoy the process of gluing wigs down. So i would definitely like to try a glueless offering from moral mode in the future, but i am kind of blown away with this and how realistic it looks, especially when you consider how bad the other one looked at the front. This is just a million miles away. I mean this is clearly getting what you paid for by going for a more expensive wig option going for the entry level into like the luxury wig category, and i actually think - and i've tried a lot of wigs on in my time. I think this is the most natural wig front, i've ever worn in terms of the actual hair itself. I personally don't like the styling product. It'S come with it's very oily and i don't usually now i'm like. Should i be conditioning my hair? More, i don't know. I don't usually oil to this extent, so i'd probably have to wash this before styling it and wearing it day to day, which i don't love, because i don't want to be washing. My wig like as soon as i get it i'd rather do that a couple months down the line, but that's kind of a personal preference. That'S just the way i like to do my hair, and i do prefer it with this middle part and just because um i feel like it was going a little bit too deep into my own um hairline, and i'm not ready to accept my hairline after wearing Wigs that lower my hairline a lot, i'm not ready to accept my own hairline, yet so yeah. Let me know what you guys think of the two wigs in the comments below i will leave links to both of them in the description. Just a reminder: i'm not leaving affiliate links, this isn't a paid for or hashtag ad. I was provided with the wig by moromo to give this a go, but it's because i want to also um order, my own one from them and although the comparison between the two was not very favorable, obviously to the 20 pound wig, this is a 20 pound. Synthetic hair, wig and honestly, if i was wearing this under a heart, if you plan to wear this under a hat, there's nothing wrong with this wig. If you want to hide that top bit. But if you want a wig where people are never going to be able to tell and the hairline looks natural, you would go for something like this every time and it still looks great underneath the heart, with the difference being, of course, that if you wanted to You could wear this one as a backwards cup, so that was my 500 pound versus 20 pounds wig comparison. Let me know if you guys enjoyed it if you're new here and you did enjoy this video, then please feel free to subscribe and hit that notification button enjoying the peaches, and i would really really appreciate that and if you did enjoy it, please also give it A little like that really really helps me out as well as a reminder i'm going to leave links to both of these wigs in the description below and i'm not being paid by either of these companies. For this video, but more and more did send me this wig because i would like to get the full glueless version from them. So they sent me this to kind of have a go up before i ordered the real thing, and if you would like me to do more, videos like this, such as with my pink wig, that i wear a lot or with the long brown wig that i Showed a little bit in this video too. Please please please let me know in the comments below, because i found like amazon versions of them both, so we can do a comparison with the amazon version versus the um expensive version as well, and i can get you guys. The links for all of those too and i'll see you guys in another video. Thank you so much for watching bye,

Paula Demorris: Clare is such a brave individual. A lot of people do go through what Clare does and a lot don't. Although I'm one of those people who don't have any experience with wigs, I still appreciate this video. Thank you for everything Clare <3333

_dúmb_ kïd_: ok really random but could we have a wig tour? and like could you tell us all of your favourite and least favourite wigs?

Sunshine Squad: I love how Clare doesn’t completely insult the cheap wig and instead points out the bits she likes and doesn’t like because many people would just say how bad and unnatural the front bit looks and say nothing else. I just think Clare is so kind and nice when comparing the wigs because many people cannot afford really expensive wigs like that and kind of have to go for the cheaper option so thank you Clare I can always rely on you to be so kind

Nails With Kams: Love how open you are about this , you are helping so many people

Vera Bean The Tire Ant Queen: She looks so pretty without a wig. Really brings out her eyes.

Emppos: Clare keeps mentioning that she has a big forehead but tbh she has a completely normal forehead.

LBLA: Girl even if u didn’t have any hair u would still look gorgeous periodt.

Elise W: I donated 15 inches of my hair 5 years ago for the sole purpose of creating wigs for people like you (trichotillomania and cancer sufferers)! I find it so good that you are able to find wigs that make you feel comfortable and happy! Love you Clare!

Emppos: Honestly getting a wig for your wedding sounds like a dream. You can have any hair you want.

WillYouTyMyShoes ??: The second one is so natural I forgot it was even a wig for a second❤️

Liv 123: I love the smile on Clare’s face when she looked at herself in the more expensive wig.

Nicole G: A few years ago I cut my really long hair, short and donated it to a charity that makes wigs, I'm so glad that the stigma of wigs is slowly but surely breaking down, people should be comfortable being able to wear it for any reason, to anyone reading this comment, be proud and confident! ❤

Thanks to you I've come to love myself and my hair and I've recently tried to go out in public with my natural hair, which was a huge deal for me. I am beyond grateful for you, thank you so much for everything!❤️

Sarah Jo: The color of the expensive one is actually STUNNING with your skin tone omg and honestly I agree the cheap one only looks bad because of the hairline but the rest of the hair actually looks incredible for that price and for being fully synthetic
