Wig Makers : What Wig Caps To Use!!

Hey guys welcome back so today I want to be talking about wig cap. So now I get so many questions Jasmine. What kind of wig cap to use? What'S a really good way: cap for wig making and so on and so on, but this video is dedicated to all of you. Wig makers out there I'm going to show you some affordable caps that you can go purchase yourself at your local Sally's. Local beauty, supply store. I'D have to keep all of my wig caps in a bag like this and my hair, it's back short again. Let me know if you want to do some videos on it. One of my classmates went ahead and chopped me down shut me down, so I'm going to show you some caps that you can purchase at your local beauty supply store as well as Sally's, and then I'm going to show you the caps that I use personally for Myself I like to keep my caps pretty much stopped and full because you know I never know what I'm going to make a wig and I just hate having to run to the store, because, where I live, there isn't a beauty supply store. I have to literally go like into town. It'S such a drag, so I try to bulk up on them, so I don't have to now my all-time favorite cap that I like to use. I guess I'll just knock this out the way, because I just love these caps. Not never. How did I buy a do-rag? I should slap myself, it's not the right cap. Oh my god, I got ta. Take this back. How the hell am i doing. I don't need a do-rag. My all-time favorite caps to use are the dome cap and they look like this. I never been a fan of the dome caps not into recently I want to say, maybe almost a year ago, I really got into doing the dome caps. The dome caps are so well fit for me on my head. I love the fact that let me see if I have a wig to have a dome cap on it. This is a wig with a dome cap. Now this one is a full-wave with the lace closure. Now I love the dome caps because they stretch - and I love the fact that it has this thick band across the entire perimeter of the cap. So that really holds your cap together. It gives you the security. You need so that your wig doesn't fall off. I just I love it. For that reason, like I said, I recently got into wearing the dome caps before I never really was a dome cap type of person, but now that my hair is shorter and it's been shorter like this for a year, I'm almost a year, it's really helpful. For me to have a cap like this, because it fits my head a little more snug than the cap, so I'm going to ready and show you know a downfall, for these dome caps is that they are very thick when you're using a dome cap. Make sure that your mannequin head or your your head block, whatever you let me make you a wig on, is stretched to its fullest stretch ability. If that's even a word - and I say that because when you so you know that the cap shrinks. So you want to make sure that this cap is stretched to the shape of your head and if it is not stretched, if you use one of those star phone, those are not the size of your head girl, so don't use those. I have this foam head that I actually added tape around it so that it matches the circumference of my head so that when I make my wigs that my wigs will fit really snug, so I like the dome caps. For that reason, however, you have to be careful with this. It'S thick when you decide to watch this. This is not a wig that you can wash and go. You really need to let it air dry, because all of this cap will be wet and it takes a while for it to dry. That'S the only thing that I do not like about these dome caps, but with this cap you can't because it's so thick in the fabric, but other than that. I really love the dome caps. It fits my head really snug, because you have this elastic band right here around the entire cap. You have a nice elastic band, so it stretch to fit your head cars purchasing these dome caps, my favorite one is this. One right here. This is by proclaim is called getting waves and I get this one exclusively from Sally's. I have not seen this anywhere else. They also have a dome cap for females that has a female face on it, and I'm going to show you it really quick. So I have two of these caps right here. This one says spandex. This one says dome this: don't cap right here, retail for 249. So this one's even thinner and consistency. This is what the dome cap looks like it smells funny too. This was a spandex. This one actually feel like it's going to be too tight. Oh, that was a nice fit. Oh, that was like almost too tight. Now you guys see. I don't have no hair on my head, so this one feels like a swim cap for real. Oh, I like that, all right, so we have this one. This one fits pretty snug. It doesn't feel as thick as the other dome cap. I showed you, but this one also is another option. Like I said it's 249 and I got this one at my local beauty - supply store now the next one. I want to show you this one is a spandex cap and it's pretty much the same thing. Um except this one is it says it's flexible. Let'S just open it up, and this one has the man on the front so for some reason I love the caps for the man nope. This is not it. This is not it. This is not it I mean it can be now. This does not have a thick band around it, however, it does have a band I'm going to put this on, so I can see how fit this could definitely use as a way it kind of remind me of a stocking cap that way you should use back In a day for a quick, weaves and stuff like that yeah, this one fits pretty good. Actually, it fits a little more comfortable. This was this one is something that you would have to kind of play around with moving along we're going to be talking about. My next favorite cap to use, which are these weeding caps now these are the mesh weaving caps, and I love these. These are what I started using away in the beginning of my wig making from their adjustable, and they just they always fit your head perfectly. If you make your wig the right way, so these are really cheap. These are $ 2.99. I'M going to show you what it looks like I like that it has like the flaps on the side like the ear flaps here, and it has the adjustable straps so that you can tighten and loosen this. They like these. I like the fact that they stretch so it's going to fit your head, and I also like the fact that it is mesh. So if you put this through water is not it, it's not going to be wet. I mean hello, it's mesh, so I really like these, especially for when I used to wear a lot of the you parts they just worked so well see it has the earflaps here and then it has the stretch. Now these straps help adjust and tighten your cap. If you want and tighter so that one was $ 2.99 from your local beauty supply store, this is another alternative. This is a mesh cap as well, and it is a deluxe adjustable band, run proof adjustable band for custom sizing, flexi wings for perfect fit. Yes, I forgot to mention that and the other one when you see these flaps on the side, they have like a metal band in here, so that you can flex them so that they hug the side of your head or wherever you're going to be placing it Flexes now, another cat that I just had to get are probably wanting to use this, because I don't wear u-part wig really make your own u-part wig. This is a cap with the open um, you part. Basically, they have a center party, which is what I have. They also have a side part. I don't get the side part because I'm not going to use it um, but they have another one. That has a side part and they have this one. It'S a center part. Now these caps are a little more. They are $ 5.99. I don't know how these things working off and check this out, so I should show you all, but I just thought this was hilarious like so. This is what the cap looks like. The opening right there all of this is like lace, nice. Oh I like this. I got ta go back because they have some one lace on it. I'Ma tell you about that in a minute, but look at these straps, so these straps are like the straps. You get in your wigs you're half waves, all those like the adjustable straps are PG wigs, oh I'm so excited. I don't even know a hair on this in here, and you know you take these straps and you hook them into these little holes to tighten it or loosen it as much as you want. All of it is, oh, you can see the opening right here. So you will apply your webs. However, you would like - and it already has to cut out you for you so that you can make your own you Pro weight very easily. They have the center part, they have a side part and they also have some with lace. You know, I wasn't too sure how I would um use that, but I probably will go back and get in I'm making away with that. I thought it was really unique that they had a full cap with lacing on, so you can make your own closures. You guys like how cool is that this is what the cap looked like. They have a variety of different caps. Again, they start off at $ 5.99. I think that's so affordable because you can go to Aliexpress or you can go to eBay, Google, Amazon where and buy these whole fancy lace, calves with the adjustable straps. And personally I don't. I don't trust any of those, because I need to actually touch it, see it fill it and know that you know this is going to work for me because I don't have time to be ordering calves, especially on Aliexpress, and they take 2-3 weeks eBay a month To get to your house - and I just don't have time for that truthfully - I like the dome caps more than the mesh caps, mainly because of what I said earlier, because I like that, it's durable and it just lasts longer. I noticed that with my the mesh caps, they can tear over time. You know if you don't take care of them or you know just everyday use if you use them all the time. If you wear the wig all the time you're just in the straps, you know they can rip. You know this is mesh, so mesh can tear um. However, with the dome caps, they don't really tear easily. Only thing is they're a little thicker, and sometimes I find they can be a little tight around my hairline, which can cause irritation. So I would definitely just try it out.
