Hey babe, so today I want to show you guys how I made the wig that I installed on this video up here in the corner. I uploaded some super cute pictures to Instagram and you guys really wanted to know how I made it. So I made an entire video showing you from start to finish how I make the wig and if you want to see more pictures like these, follow me on Instagram. Now, let's get right into it: sis, okay, so first things. First, let's discuss tools. You'Ll need a wig head and pins as well as combs clip stuff like that and a crochet needle for the locks. Now I'm using a full lace wig. This is a deep wave wig and a 12 inch. It'S really really cute and I like the way that it blends in with the texture of the locks. The lace is like a light brown color, there's three clips inside and an adjustable strap in the back just for added security, but you can add an elastic band if you want to so. First, you want to put the wig cap on to the wig head now. This is super important because you want to make sure that you stretch it out as much as you can, when you're putting braids on wigs, it can tend to like bunch up the lace and then you'll end up with a really really really small cap that won't Fit your head! So in order to combat that, you want to stretch out the legs as much as possible stretch it past what you would, if you're putting it on your head, just to make sure that you don't get all of that bunching in the roots cuz. It looks a mess when you put it on your head. You want a very flat and seamless scalp, so you can do like half-up half-down styles with no problems. So our sections out about an inch around the entire perimeter just to make sure that there's some like tendrils and it also allows for a bit of wiggle room with the customization. I have a kind of weird hairline, so just in case any of my clients do they can customize their wig as much as they want to. You can cut off the ear tabs. Whatever you want to do, I find, if you put braids in that area, it kind of constricts people to what they can do with making the wig look natural for them. So if you have like a small head, you can feel free to trim or do whatever you need to do to make this week a figure. This is the entire perimeter braided all the way around. Now, I'm going to start to section out the hair for the locks with jumbo locks. I don't like to put that many locks in your head, so I start off with the nape area and I only break this section into four parts, starting with the middle section and then I'll break those two sections into two sections and then at the end. I'Ll have four perfectly parted sections that I just braid all the way from the root to the tip, leaving a bit of a gap at the root where we'll use to crochet the lock through just like on a client. You don't want these braids to be too tight again to avoid all of the bunching up at the scalp. Now these locks are from shop, free locks, calm, I love them. There'S some jumbo locks and there are 20 inches. Now you can find like shorter locks similar to these at the beauty, supply store, or you can use like a different style or size, whatever locks that you want to use we're gon na go ahead and start to crochet those into the roots of the braids that We just did so you'll grab that lock drag it through the root reach through the loop for jumbo locks grab only the lock and for a smaller locks. You can grab the braid and the lock, and now we just want to just make sure that super tight. So that there's not too many bumps and stuff at the root and you're gon na take your crochet needle to slide it up through the middle of the lock all the way up to the base. As far as you can and hide that braid as much as possible, then we're just gon na latch that braid onto the hook close the hook and drag it back through now this technique came out a long time ago. It'S about jazz, Nicole and there's lots of videos on it. I'M just showing you here how to do it using these locks and what I like about using this technique with these boxes, because there's so much texture on the locks, they literally mat and lock up for real thrill, and this will secure it. So, where you can wear this wig for a very long time, these locks last a long time in your hair and on wigs just because they're so dense. So when you use an individual crochet method, it's lots of hair covering up your hair. If that makes sense for added security, we're gon na go ahead and wrap the locks on this make sure they in there like swimwear they're, not going anywhere, and it also adds to create a seamless look in the roots. So, to do this, we have to unravel this lock, and this is one of the same locks that we use to crochet in the hair you just reach in through that loop and pull it apart all the way to the end, but it shouldn't give you too Much trouble, especially with these locks, we're gon na trim that hair in half just because we don't need that much we're only gon na wrap the root areas and just grab a section out of that half section. Depending on what size pieces that you're used to wrap the locks, I would say that you can do about 4 to 6 locks with one unravel one so to get started. I'M just gon na kind of loosen up all of the hair so that it's really really flat and we can cover up the most surface area with the smaller piece and then I'm gon na just grab my crochet needle and just like, we did the lock grab That piece of hair and crochet it through the root leaving a little bit of an overlap about two to three inches. I'M just gon na hold that little extra piece next to the lock and then wrap those two pieces together using the other end of the hair. Make sure to spread the hair out as you wrap it around and continue going all the way down the length of the hair as far as you can, and once everything gets wrapped its gon na give it a very seamless look and I'm talking about wrap this Hair until it's literally one hair, you just keep wrapping and keep wrapping, and this is what's going to give you a bit of security if you like to you, can add glue, but with this technique you shouldn't have to so. This is what the first row looks like after I install it, and I'm gon na just show you guys really quickly me adding in the rest of the locks and, as you can see, I'm doing really big sections, and that's just because with these locks, you really Do not want that many in your head, especially with the wig, because it'll kind of start, to give you a very bulky look typically, if somebody had like real locks this size there wouldn't be that many of them in their head just because, like the typical human, Doesn'T have like that dense of hair, so for that natural look, you wanted to kind of be full, but not too full, and my rule of thumb is that you typically don't want to be able to see through the back to where you can see the parts, But you also don't want it to be so bulky that you can't do a side part, because if you put a lot of locks in your hair, trust and believe it'll be very difficult to style them. Just because there's a lot of hair in general. It'S not heavy, but it is a lot of hair. If that makes sense, these locks are very lightweight whether you install them in your hair or on to a week, so you'll be fine. Alright, so that'll rock the wig up, we're gon na do some finishing touches. I'M just going in and grabbing all of these little curly that came off of the locks is in trimming them and I'm gon na just take down these braids around the sides and kind of blend that into the wig as well. As you can see, the parts are kind of irregular and I love that because eventually, everything will get a bit fuzzy and it will look very, very natural to help me blend the hairs together. I'M all wet the curls down and run my fingers through it and eventually the curls will almost attach to the locks, and it looks like very like boho beachy, it's just so so pretty like. I love it so much and then, when you put your hair up for like buns and stuff like that, you have these really pretty like curly tendrils hanging down and because it's human hair, the curls, will last just as long as your wig does look guys. This is how the wig looks up close and personal. If you want to give it more of a distressed, look, you can go in and pull out the curls on the ends. This kind of makes the ends. Look like almost like goddess locks, but not quite if you want to purchase this wig it's available on shop, free locks, calm, the information will be down below make sure to subscribe and like this video, I love you guys so much and stay tuned for the next Tutorial because it's gon na be so bomb, I love you guys.
