My First Time Applying A Full Lace Wig || Ygwigs

Okay, you guys so i have an interesting wig install video. This was my first time working with a full lace unit. This hair is from yg wigs. They sent me some clips an adjustable band, and this is what the adjustable band looks like it's like bra, straps and then a edge brush and a wig cap, and i'm just showing you guys what the packaging looks like, because i normally do that anyway. So this is what the wig looks like. I will leave the details to this wig down below um. I believe i have a 22 inch deep wave wig. I might be wrong if i am wrong. I will definitely leave the deeps to this down below in the description box, so it does come with combs and it does adjustable straps for this wig install. I did cut the combs and adjustable straps off this wig. If you want to see a tutorial on how i did that, let me know down below in the comment section, and this is what my install looks like. So i'm showing you guys before, because i ended up, didn't do the styling on camera um at all. So we just put it in a ponytail real, quick and then we did styling off camera. Okay, so i just want to show you guys what it looks like before we start it. This is my first time ever doing a full lace unit installed. It was pretty tricky. I did learn from my mistakes, so we're i'm just going to go in and talk about. You know my experience doing this type of install because, like i said it was my first time now i am just like you guys. I watch a lot of youtube videos, so i have seen multiple people do installs before so um. I did go in with the stocking cap method. I pulled the stocking cap down cut her ears off uh did a little slot for her eyes, so she could see this is my friend jasmine by the way, and i did use my bow hole active to lay the stocking cap down now. First mistake for me: lay the glue down first on your on this on your clients, skin and then lay the stocking cap down um. I think it it's a easier um, it's easier and you have a cleaner look when it when you do it that way. So i did that for the front and the back, because she did want the back glued down as well and after it dries clear, you want to go ahead and cut off the excessive cap, so so so once the cap is cut off, you want to take Your makeup of choice, i'm using ruby kisses and i'm just going to apply that around her entire perimeter of her hairline, where the lace is going to be showing. So after i installed the makeup, i am going to go ahead and um size, the wig on her. Now um, this is a pretty small wig. I don't know if they come in different sizes, but jasmine has a size, 21 head, and so this fits her pretty snug. So i just wanted to let you guys know that, and i am going to cut her ears out of the wig. So there are seams on the side where her ears should go, and so i just cut the seam. And then i cut a slit in the front and in the back, so it's easy for me to like maneuver and adjust the lace on on the glue where i want it to be. So i also took some alcohol and i cleaned her hairline from all the makeup, because i do want this wig to stay on. She did have this on for a while to be honest, and i you want to make sure that your hairline is clean for any debris or oils or anything like that, because oils will lift up boho liquid gold. Okay, so i do a nice thin layer. I spread it out with my clean finger. I cleaned it with alcohol and i'll wait till dry, and i do three layers just like this. Okay, once it's dry, i tell her to hold one side and don't let it touch the glue and i maneuver the other side and set it in the glue to where i want it to be. And then, after i push that side in, i am going to take the other side and maneuver it and set it where i want it to sit. So do not push the glue in to the lace unless you are absolutely ready and sure. That'S where you want your lace and your hairline to sit okay. So if you sit the glue on, if you sit the lace on top of the glue, that's fine but do not push it in if you're not comfortable or you sure, where you want it to sit. So i did take my blow dryer on warm and then i blew dry, the hairline, so it can melt into the lace a little bit more okay. So this is boho liquid gold and i'm using this, because i want the back to stay down as long as possible and we're not going to sew the back down so boho liquid gold is a serum that holds your lace down and i love using this okay. So i use this to apply my wig, sometimes too well majority of the time, and so what i did i'll put a nice layer down and i blew dry it. I did not put it where i'm going to put the active okay. So once i blow dry it down and it's dry and mind you i'm blow drying it on warm. I'M gon na flip up the lace clean, the back of her hair hairline in the back and i'm gon na. Do three layers of boho active on the on the back of her hairline so once that turns clear, i'll tell her to flex her neck downward, because i want to make sure that when she flex her neck downwards and backwards that her wig stays in place. So if she flex her leg neck downwards, it'll be sitting in a right spot to where the glue needs to be. I hope that makes sense. I hope, like you know, this was my first time doing this. Okay, y'all bear with me because i'm gon na do this more on this channel, because i definitely want to get better with this. So i use the blow dryer to melt it in and then i took an elastic band and wrapped her entire hairline. So it could do so, it could, like you, know, sit in the glue and make sure it's pressed down, and i left that on there for about 20 minutes after 20 minutes i took the elastic band off and it was time to cut off the lace. You guys know the drill with the lace you um cut off all the excessive lace that is on your wig and adjust your baby hairs. However, you want them to be me so, like i said before, i did style this hair off camera. I did not show that for you guys, just because out for the sake of this video, i just want you guys to see it pulled up in a bun and for my first um full-length install girl. I think i did a really good job um like because i've never done this before and all i've done was see it. So i am definitely going to do more of these because i definitely want to get the hang of this. So, as far as me, styling, like i said, you're only going to see a bun or ponytail in this video and i will definitely post pictures of the final final product of this install on my instagram page. So i want to say thank you to the company for actually sending me this wig um. I did end up flat ironing his hair and it came out super silky and soft after i did all of my recording and for like, i said for me for this to be my first install. I think i did good. I did not lay the baby hairs. You guys because i did that after, but i just wanted to show you guys my install and i was actually pretty proud of myself like it looks good like and me i like messy hair, so i would have for sure like this, but until next time bye You guys you
