This is not single donor. This has been processed., It has been colored, fried dyed and laid to the side and then put on a weft. It'S my credibility. ♪ ♪ Breslin Breslin ♪, Hey it's Marquetta! Breslin and I'm back with another video., So one of the questions that I get all the time in reference to hair is ,'' Marquetta. What is the difference between single-drawn hair and double-drawn hair ?''? So I'm about to answer that question. Now single-drawn hair is exactly as it says. It's single-drawn.. That means when they cut it off of the donor. They process it and leave it exactly as that.. They don't go any further to do anything with it. Double-drawn hair means everything is the exact same length. Now in reference to wig making. What makes the difference here is when you're making a lace, wig and you're working with single-drawn hair you're going to have. Unless you go through the process of double-drawing, the hair yourself you're going to have a bunch of different lengths in the hair., So lem me pick up a few different types of hair and I'll show you how you can tell other than when you purchase it from The supplier, they usually say, single-drawn., I'm gon na, show you how you can tell.. This is a bundle that I purchased from a supplier. Now. The easiest way to tell single-drawn hair is by this. All these extra little lengths., These short pieces of hair.. That'S how you know just looking at this, that it's single-drawn. Also this hair is super thick up here. But if you look really closely as I'm pulling down on the hair, you see a bunch of short pieces coming out. Okay, But also if you pay attention my fingers up here, my little hole thing that I'm holding it's super thick., But as I get down to the bottom, it's super duper thin.. That means this is I wan na say 16 or 18 inches right. So I'm thinking I'm getting 16 or 18 inches in the entire bundle., Not really because I know better, because I know it's single-drawn.. The only parts of this bundle that are actually 16 to 18 inches is what's down here at the bottom.. So you have all of this right here that could potentially be unusable if you are not double-drawing the hair yourself.. So you have to take that into consideration when you're, making a wig, whether or not you're, using single or double-drawn hair, and how much of that hair is going to be the actual length that you really really need.. Okay, Single-drawn. Now these three bundles right here are single-drawn, single-donor, okay, So what that means is it came off of only one person's head., So this is Indian raw, Indian Remy, hair. Okay, So when they go to the temple, I'm sure you've seen the videos. By now, they cut the hair off. When they cut the hair off it's processed in a number of different ways.. That'S a whole'nother video that I'll get into at another time., But this particular batch of hair that I have what they did was they took the hair from a single donor and they put it in the bundle and left it raw and processed it that way.. So this bundle right here this is not a lot of hair. At all.. This is a very small bundle., So this person probably didn't have thick hair or it may have been somebody. That was a lot younger., But one thing that I do have is it's pretty consistent all the way down to the bottom. There's some different lengths, but the shorter pieces really start down up in here for this particular bundle.. So single donor, single-drawn you're gon na have different variations depending on the individual who donated their hair.. So let's take this piece which is gorgeous these curls. Yes.. Okay, this piece right here we have a few shorter pieces., So it starts right about here., Okay, It gets thick, it gets thick, it gets thick and it maintains consistency pretty much all the way. Down. The short pieces just start right about here: okay, But it's way more consistent than this.. This is not single donor.. This has been processed, it has been colored, fried dyed and laid to the side and then put on a weft. Okay, Then, this is a much thicker piece than those other two. You see here. I have much shorter pieces in here okay. That is all variations of single-drawn hair., So we have single-drawn processed. And then single-drawn single donor. Now with double-drawn hair. That means that all of the hair has been drawn to a specific length and when I say drawn, I mean drawn out of a drawing card or drawing mat. Okay, That's also a whole'nother video that I 100 % will be doing for you, because it's something that you need to know how to do.. This right here is double-drawn hair. Now, although I do have some pieces sticking out, that's just because this hair has been sitting in a bed, I'm kidding. A hair bed is what I call it., Because I haven't used it.. It'S been a few months since I purchased it., But this is the root and these are the ends of the hair.. Everything is one length.. I don't have short pieces.. What you see here is just the hair, that's coming out from it being bundled up.. If I were to take these two strings off, everything would be beautifully in one single length.. This is double-drawn hair.. Now the reason you're gon na pay more for double-drawn hair because it takes longer to separate those lengths.. But when you're making a wig, it's gon na be a lot easier to and it's gon na come out a lot better. If you can just purchase the double-drawn hair and just use the double-drawn hair for the entire duration of the wig., But that's not always the case and that's not always available for everybody, which is why it's important to understand and know how to double-draw your own hair.. Okay, All right, I want to thank you so very much for watching this video. I'll talk to you soon.
