How To Prepare Your Hair For Headband Wig/ Ideal Braid Pattern / Homemade

in this video I'm showing how i braid my hair to install my headband wig.

featureing 2 of my homemade headband wigs.

Ashilicious, delicious ashlicious, ashlicious ashlicious hi, everyone welcome back to my channel okay, so my head looks like braid for a reason, because today i am going to be showing you guys my braid pattern. Well, the ideal braid pattern for installing a headband wig. Let'S get started. Okay, so my head looks like bread look at that this absolute bread at its readiest london is now in tier five, we're locked down. So i have had my hair in some like doo-doo plaits and like some just big flats that i got sheena to like. Like part, my hair and put them in place, so my head has been in place in a bonnet for a couple of days now um. So that's why my head looks like this, because i took the flats out last night with the intention of doing this video. So, first things: first, i have my spray bottle. It has carrot, oil and just water in it and usually what i do is i spray my hair. If something will come out spray, my hair to just dampen my hair a bit and then i brush it out. Um just to make my hair a lot easier to deal with, with all of that done, that's hard work. Um i like to do like a braid from like a cross at the back, because there is a clip in the back of the um wig and i usually like use that little comb clip to just hitch it or secure the back of the wig. So i'm going to turn around and like show you guys how i do like the the back and i've got my clip here so bear with me. I cannot see the back of my head um, so i'm not 100 sure what the back of it is looking like, but i don't really care too much about what it looks like as long as i get the braid done um. So that is my parting. Just across this is the one braid across that's going to secure the back clip, give it a little comb through no nutty dance. There we go and then so. I just watched over the clip and i realized the parting is so off, but it doesn't matter because i'm not going for perfection, i'm going for security, so we're going to start with the front with the like the rest of the hair, the rest of the cornrows Um, so i'm going to part the side bit here and we're gon na get the clip and secure it once again. Now this is the trick of it in order to get that front finish that you get with the um headband twigs right, so usually, when a person is cornrowing here, they would start from like that tiniest bit, right there, but we're installing a headband leak so that Tiny bit is going to be like a leave out, so what i tend to do is i grip the entire hair and i start from way back there. Okay, so we're on to the second pattern: um: let's give it a little comb out and again start from way back from a little bit further back, and you start the braiding from way back. There you'll see why, in a moment, why the braid pattern - i think you figured it already anyway, but you'll - see in a moment why the braid has to start from a little bit further back, i'm not gon na lie. My hair looks so shiny on camera. I had to say that we got my sister. She, she combed my hair and oiled it on all of these nice things. Big up. My sister shy, like i said before, the hair does not have to be perfectly parted um, it's just so. You have somewhat a neat foundation to put the wig onto so it doesn't have to be perfectly parted, because i mean some people are like ocd like that, but i personally don't really mind too much um, no one's seeing it. If someone was seeing my braid, then maybe i would be more concerned about the parting, but it's not that serious. Okay, i'm going to turn around and show you from the back what i do with the back bit. So you see that braid right there we're going to bring it up and add it to that one and then continue to break down family. I'M finished with the braid and i'm going to show you how i tuck in the back bit. So with all of this, i like to get my finger through one of the blades okay, so i have my thin brush and my edge control and literally that front bit that um, i said to start way at the back you're just going to brush that area. Back just brush it back. Obviously, if you want to do some edges, you can do some edges. Um yeah i like to do a little a little bit of adult hair. So i've got my head scarf here and i'm just going to lower my edges. I am going to walk around the house for like 10 minutes or five minutes. It probably doesn't even need that long. So i'm gon na walk around the house for about five minutes and i'll be back when i feel like my edges are laid okay. So i'm back, oh all right, so i have two weeks to show you guys today, my regular that i wear practically all the time now and my other one that i don't really wear so much so i have this one. It needs it needs a little attention, but that's fine. So i made this myself and i've sewn in okay. So, there's that velcro bit that i've made and i've sewn in two side combs and one bottom comb and i'm gon na - take off my scarf, laid and show you so i'm gon na insert the bottom combs first bring it forward a little insert the side combs And fasten it at the back, see like i said this hair needs a little attention, but you know you judge it up a bit and then i get my headband honey. Now you can use different styles of headband. I have a few that i'm going to show you guys, so there is this one that um jamaican's called bandu. I love that word. Okay and then you just put it on over there and bada bing bada boom you're a cute girl, honey. There'S. Also, this yellow is my absolute favorite color and this one i love this one because i feel like you can expand it to the places that are not properly covered in order for those places to get properly covered yeah. So look. This looks amazing, so amazing, and obviously i can um like straighten this. If i feel like it's or curl the hair, and it's easily put it's easy to put on and easy to take off, it's painless, it's not too tight and literally you can. You can make these yourselves at home, so many people spend a lot of money on buying them when you can literally just revamp your old wigs or just make a whole new one and here's my favorite one, the curly wig, you don't have to like use a Headband, you can use a headscarf um and you can just use a headscarf and just get really creative there. We go sorted um, so that is it for my video. Thank you so much for stopping by and watching um. Don'T forget to comment like share subscribe. All of this great stuff share with some friends but yeah. Thank you so much for watching again and goodbye guys make sure your color within the lines in your lips. You know at least the material enough for all your life. All right so just make sure y'all make everything nice. Now we reach the weak part. So right now we are go just take
