Diy/ How To Make A Headband Wig

Hey y'all welcome back to my channel today we're going to be making a headband wig. These are real trendy right now. So if you got some bundles at home, stay tuned, so you want to take in headband and you want to split it down the middle. It'S best to cut it at the seam and then you just want to make sure that you find the middle of the headband. That'S why i folded it in half, so i can get directly in the middle and i'm going to place that in the middle of my cap and then we're going to pin this headband across the front and i'm just making sure it's even so when you're sewing This headband to the cap, you want to make sure that you sew only through the mesh part and not the elastic. So that's what i'm showing here up close, you only want to go through the mesh. Only [ Applause ], it's you're, going to stop sewing around the same spot as you would. If you were doing a frontal wig, if you don't know how to make a frontal wig. Basically, you want to stop around where your ear will lay okay, so the headband is sewn on. I am done with that part and i'm just going to be checking the part that is going to be velcro velcroed at the back um, just to make sure that it's going to lay right and now we're going to go ahead and get started on sewing on The bundles, so as far as that part, is basically the traditional way um when you're making a wig. You just want to go from left to right until you get towards the top, and then i will show you what you'll do to close up the wig on the side. Note this hair that i'm using is actually deep wave. I straightened it out for another video that i have not uploaded it. I did an arrogant tape and dream doll recreation. So i used deep wave her and i actually showed you how to straighten deep wave hair, and i did that style so yep that video will be coming soon make sure you subscribe if you're new. So you don't miss that upload but yeah. I just want to let y'all know that, because later on in the video, their hair is going to change to deep wave, and i didn't want y'all to be confused. It'S just that. I washed the hair after i finished making this wig, i'm making sure. As i sew when i get to those sides that i'm not sewing through the elastic and only through the mesh, and i'm also just going in a u-shape until i get right to the top and that's when i'll show you how to close off the wig, i've Made it to the top, where i said i was going to stop doing the u shape, and now i'm just going left to right and i'm going to go left to right. All the way to i get to the front of the mesh cap and that's how we're going to close off the wig so that we can have our headband wig [ Applause, ] bam and, as i get closer to the front, i'm not going to do the Fold over method, i'm going to actually cut my tracks just so they can be so that it can be really flat in the front. Now we are going to get to the combs and the velcro. So i have two small clip combs like the kind that pop in and out, and then i have one regular comb that i'm going to put at the back. I'M just going to show you the placement of where i'm going to put my combs is the small clip combs i'm going to put right behind the elastic band, not the headband, but behind the elastic band of the cap for the velcro i purchased this at walmart And it is the kind that has the sticky peel on the back um. I was going to sew these on, but since i saw that i had two, i just went ahead and just used the sticky peel and just stuck them on if they come off. I just use my extras and sew those on, but for now sticky will work, quick and fast. Okay, my edges were a little dry and flaky from the gel and edge control that i use, so i'm just taking a little ocean and rubbing it on. So it can take away that whiteness. Okay, now we're ready to install the wig, and i got this headband from my local beauty supply, not knowing that i had a jacket at home that matched perfectly like. I forgot all about this jacket, but when i saw it i was like it matches perfect like how is that possible that i just looked up like that? A look! Okay, so yeah we're going to get this wig on nice and comfortable, and then i'm going to show you how the final look and when you're done watching this video.
