Turning A Headband Wig Into A Half Up Half Down Style | Julia Hair

What'S up you guys, it's your girls, tamara gi and we are back with another video. So today we are doing something a little different, i'm going to be working with a headband wig and for today's headband wig we are using julia hair, so um they sent me a head and wig over, and this headband wig is a is brazilian hair and um From the looks of it, it kind of looks kind of like a um, it kind of looks body wave from the looks of it. It kind of looks like a 22 inch, so this is what the headband wig looks like and, as you guys see, my hair is out it's not braided or anything. So i want to kind of try to do something different with these headband wigs. So i'm just gon na get into what's all inside the box and then after that, i'm gon na show you guys what we're gon na do today. So i have this little headband that came with it. This is like a cute new color headband that came with it, and this headband is super duper cute like it gives me like a little. I don't know like i just like the color, it's really cute and these headbands did come with the headband wig and then as well as it came with a wig cap. So i'm gon na go ahead and toss this box and i'm gon na take the box in the back. You know what let's try to set the box up in the back for some like decor or something does that work um, no, but i'ma. Let it sit there, so i'm gon na go ahead and open this wig cap up, because i might need it. I might not, but you know just to save the trouble just go ahead and open it. I wanted to do something different with handmade wigs, because headband wigs are so easy. All you have to do is put them on and that's the only thing you have to do so. I kind of want to do something like i don't know like i've been looking and i've seen some people that actually they like cut this cork, this portion right here, so that you could just be left with the velcro part. So i think that's what we're going to be doing today. I kind of want to do a sum up some down and see how that goes, but yeah we're going to go ahead and get into cutting this um wig first, so cutting the straps on it. First, i already started kind of cutting and, as you guys can see like i said before, i'm leaving this strap on and just cutting the rest of this off now um. I kind of got to see so i'ma kind of show y'all kind of what i'm doing, but i don't want to mess it up, so just cutting it. Okay and now, when i get to this part where the velcro is at i'm gon na cut going up. So that it won't cut off the velcro, it would just cut off this piece. This is what the headband wig is looking like so far, so it's right here and we have our straps right here, so i think i kind of want to do like a sum up some down type of thing. So let me go ahead and get my mirror set up because um your girl got to see i'm kind of scared for this honestly, because i really don't know how this is going to work out, but hopefully it works out pretty good. So um, like i said before this looks like a little body wave type wig um. I'Ve worked with julia hair before with their front tools and their hair is pretty soft and this wig from the tail from the look of it. It'S very soft. I haven't washed it or anything but yeah. I, like it i'mma part off my hair, so we can get this little some up, some down going so gon na just part about right here off and i'm not trying to part i'm not trying to part too much, because i still want the headband wig to Be showcased really really well, and i don't want my hair to be all like in the way, but imma do a good portion for this. Some of some down and y'all know me. Y'All know this parting child, i'm not the best at partying, but we're gon na make it work. Okay, so for this top portion you guys see i kind of parted. It really good right here and i parted it. You know semi good right here, so my hair is like in a little bun in the back like that and um. I really feel no need to really have to put like a wig cap on the back. I guess what i can do now is just get my hair prepped for this them up some down style, so i'm gon na just use this wetline extreme. I really like wet lining stream. You can really get it from anywhere um, preferably me. You guys um, you guys know, i just did a style recently and um. If you guys were watching my videos when i first first started doing youtube, you guys knew that i was complaining about being allergic to edge control and i honestly thought that that phase of my life was over and um. When i did those twists um, you guys know, i used the diamond edge control and i used the um edge booster to do my edges and i literally had to wipe all of that edge booster off, because my hair, my um, i literally instantly started like itching Around my scalp and stuff - and i just think that probably edge control just isn't for me and that's the end of it but um i do have gorillas, not and gorilla. Smart seems to agree with my hair. Well, so we're gon na add some of that too. I swear i'm gon na be washing my hair so much this week because i don't think i'm gon na have this style in for long and i'm gon na twist my hair up some more i'm gon na twist, my hair again on thursday, because i have somewhere To go your girls taking the flight and i honestly don't want to wear a wig to where i'm going so yeah. Okay. So let me yeah, though the gorilla snot got me right for real, take out some of my baby hair before we even get started because y'all know y'all know i got ta have the baby hairs and hopefully my hair don't curl up too much, because it's already Slightly curling up and that's why i really like using edge control, because i just feel like the edge control. Just it really slicks my hair up and it doesn't make my hair curl so, but i have to be extra and be allergic to it. So yeah so um in this in this headband wig. It has three little prongs right here. So it's three prongs right here and i'm just gon na go ahead and put this on the back of my hair. So i'm gon na put it where the part is at so the parts kind of right here. You really can't see it and i'm happy that you really can't see it. So it's not gon na be like a part part. So that's good. We have our little straps right here, so this is what's going to secure it as well. I'M gon na just put my hair in a little bun real, quick at the top, so i could put this on my hair without it being like any problems or anything. There is a clip at the back too so imma just clip the back too, and i wish it was additional clips like um. I wish it was additional clips like right here and right here, but it's only one clip in the back. So now, what we're going to do is we're going to take these adjustable straps that we have and just velcro now the only thing about the headband wigs is. I wish that the velcro was just a little tighter because even with a lot of my headband wigs they're secure, but i just feel like it could be like a just a little tad bit more secure now, as you guys can see, this is what we're working With right here - and i really love the the pattern of this hair right now - i thought i was gon na. Add some extra curls in it, but i might not. I just might not, because i'm liking the way it looks. It looks really cute even with this little bun like it looks really cute like this, but i'm gon na go ahead and try to morph this into what we got going on right here. So i'm gon na push this up a little bit more just a little bit more and probably that would help okay yeah. I think that's going to help because it was kind of back a little far so oh yeah and i felt like this feels like really really secure doing it. This way, i think i might use like some braiding hair and like put like a little yeah, because okay yeah i'ma do that because the whole headband aspect of it all. It looks really really good as a half wig and it's just giving me really really cute vibes with this half week. So it's very very cute like this, and i kind of don't even want to pull, because if i do pull from it it might look a little crazy and we don't want it to look crazy because this hair is already bombed so i'll be right back. I have some braiding hair, you guys some braiding hair y'all so before i even do this part that i'm about to do i'ma just fix a little part of my hair. I'M gon na take a little bit of the gorilla snot and just just you know, fix my hair up before we even get started, and on this side it looks pretty good. So i don't think i need any fixing, so i'm gon na just brush this going. This way, because now we can just let the head and we do its thing and be a half wig, and it's very very cute this way and i think i'm gon na go ahead and add a little bit. I'M gon na add, like a couple wand curls on this side. Just so it can have the same like wave. This side is given off, and but i'm glad that it has this cute body wave like to it. Just take half of the braid in here really not even have like a quarter of the braiding hair. So like this much - and this is how much i'm not using and we're gon na set that to the side - and i feel like this - is really going to give this headband wig a lot of spice. So now i'm just rubber banding it all through my head, like that, just to seal it, i'm just taking like a little piece of hair that i just got, and then it just seals like that, and i kind of like this little thing that it has going On at the top, so i'm just going to keep it like that, but this is our little ninja bun that we have going on so yeah for the style sake. I'M gon na go get some edge booster, but i'm gon na wash my hair right after i take it out just so. I won't break out, but i really do want this to be super crisp, so i'm gon na get the edge booster me. So, as you guys can see, this is what it's looking like, i kind of want to get some earrings or like some hoops or something i'm going to take my wand, curler and just curl the hair going backwards. So you guys see, i just turned this headband wig into like a bomb, half wig and i'm just so happy and excited. And if you guys want to see what the back looks like. Let me just show you guys, but you guys see how it looks from the side like it looks, really really cute from the side and in the back. This is how it looks. Hopefully it doesn't look crazy, but that's how everything is looking y'all comment down below. If y'all think this is a hit or miss, i feel like this is really really cute. The hair is very, very soft and um, like i said before. I really love the body weight aspect of this hair, and you know i just want to try something different, not just go ahead and just do like the regular headband little style. But i feel like this would be really cute, and if your hair is long enough, you can just go ahead and just put a button at the top and put this back as a little um, half wig. If you want to you, could do it like that. Also, you can wear this hair in different types of ways like you could like wear as the like, the regular traditional headband style.
