Pixie Headband Wig? Is This Affordable Headband Wig A Hit Or Miss? Featuring Neflyonwigs

Hey guys welcome back so to get all the details on this pixi headband unit. Keep watching hey, guys, welcome back to my channel. This is stephanie nicole h, so today, i'm doing yet again a headband wig review. So this unit was actually sent to me by me. Fly on wigs, so it's actually a short pixie curly headband wig. So this is going to be completely different from all of the other hair band. Wigs that i have reviewed in the past, all of them were 14 inches or longer. I believe this one is 6 inches long, so completely out of the box here, so i'm just going to go ahead and open this up, give you the specs and then we'll go ahead and put it on and do some styling. So i love that this. When it came in this little pink bag, a reusable bag, so let me just go ahead and take this out so comes in a box. So let's see what all goodies came in this box. So, of course the unit is in this bag. Also wig caps instruction manual, so it has the hair care as well as about the cap size, and i guess a picture of some of their other units that they offer um. Also, a headband kind of a new color with buttons and then a mask which is well needed these days. A couple of clips all right, so i'm gon na go ahead and open up the unit, so we can take a look at it. Okay, so here is the unit comes with a tag with their brand name on it and also their social medias, um email address, hours of operation, return and exchange policy, so um as far as this actual unit, so standard construction has the three comps in the front. So two on the side, one in the middle, also one in the back. Also. Yes, it does have adjustable straps and then also the headband piece with the elastic. I was pretty hesitant about reviewing this specific unit just because it is so different from all the headband units that i've done thus far um. It'S super short, so i wasn't necessarily a fan of it um, but i do want to go ahead and try it out see what i can do with this see if i can make it work so yeah, okay. So, as far as the specs on this unit, it is 69 um. I'M gon na put all the information down in the description box. Also, you can save ten dollars with my promo code, which is step 10, so make sure you use that if you purchase from their site so yeah, i am a little worried, but we are definitely going to try this out and see. So color is a like natural black color, but it looks more like a number one to me, like i'm, not really seeing a natural black color so which is fine for me, because my hair is jet black anyway, but human hair, 100, 150 density. So i'm just going to go ahead and try this on and see what i think so wish me. Luck. Fingers crossed. Okay, all right guys, so you know the drill with these headband units, but let's just go over anyway. So i'm just going to place the combs in the front through my hair and then also the comb in the back through the nape of my hair. And now i'm just attaching the black headband piece in the back with the velcro and then also just tucking. That headband behind my ears, okay, so now i'm just going to take the headband that was sent to me slip that over my head and then place it on top of the black headband piece. That'S attached to the unit! Now i didn't realize this before, but those buttons actually do serve a purpose. So if you have a mask on, you could just place the loops over the buttons and there you have it all right guys. So i am back so this is the curly pixie headband wig from me flying wigs. So, as far as the wig itself, it's okay um, it's not as bad as i was expecting, i'm probably going to throw on some water and some mousse or something to kind of um. I don't know so. The curls are not so uniform and um. As far as this headband that was sent to me, this is not a hairband that i would normally wear um and it really doesn't go with this unit because of um. You can definitely see the hairband pieces attached to the unit, so you definitely have to wear a thicker headband, which kind of limits you know wet hairbands. You can wear. You can't wear just those um arch shaped hair bands, because it'll definitely show the black headband piece in the back which, as opposed to you, know longer units you can wear whatever type of headband you like so also okay. So it's another headband with the matching mask. Okay, um interesting, so yeah all of the headbands come with these buttons on them. I'M not sure if that serves a purpose or what so, let me just switch out this one for the blue one and see what we think. So again, this is not a headband. I would normally wear so i'm going to go get one of my headbands put it on and we'll do some styling all right. So now i'm just going to take this nairobi foaming lotion and put a few pumps in my hand and run my fingers through the hair and i'm gon na use a nice amount of this foamy lotion. Because i want to break up the curl pattern as much as possible, so i'm placing a nice amount of this foamy lotion all through the hair and just raking my fingers through it - and i picked up this foamy lotion from my local beauty supply. It was about ten dollars, so i'm going to go back for a few more pumps of the foaming lotion and apply that to the back of the wig. So now that the curls are disrupted and not as uniform as when i got it straight out the box, i love this unit a lot more and i love that the foaming lotion gives it a wet effect. Even though i'm applying a ton of this foamy lotion, it's not going to leave the hair dry and crunchy, it's still going to be soft and give it a nice shine. So i'm just making sure that i hit every single area on this unit with this nairobi. So that i have the same effect all over the unit, so as you can see, the curls look a lot less wiggy now so now, let's get into some styles. So i'm just gon na take two small black rubber bands and i'm gon na do two small ponytails at the top of my head. So i'm gon na start with one and then move over to the other side and just apply a small black rubber band. To this side, this is a super cute fun. Playful look! So now i'm just going to remove these two rubber bands and combine it into just one ponytail at the top, so it's a ponytail at the top with the rest down. So now i'm just going to remove the rubber band and part my hair over to the side to give a side part illusion, and now i'm just gon na part, my hair back in the middle, all right guys. So i am back so i installed the unit. Did a couple of styles also put some um nairobi in to kind of um break up the curl pattern, so it's not so uniform so pros and cons. Let'S get into this pros, let's just start with the good. So the good thing is this unit. Is the ultimate get up and go headband unit? You just throw it on throw some mousse on uh rake it through your fingers and you are good to go um. Also. The price 69 is not a bad price. Uh cap size is amazing. Cap size is perfect. Um color for me is amazing because it is a jet black color, which is a perfect match to my edges and to my hair also pros. I love the curl pattern after i kind of messed up the curls so that they weren't so uniform. I actually really like the curl pattern and so right now it's giving that kind of wet effect. So now, let's get into the negatives. So, as far as the texture of the hair, it says it is 100 virgin hair, i'm unsure of that. If that's necessarily true uh, just because of how dark this hair is, i know that virgin hair comes in. You know different shades. However, it kind of reminds me of just regular human hair, not virgin hair. So i'm not sure you know um, it says virgin hair, so we'll just go with virgin hair but um. So another negative for me would be the length and that's just personal preference, just because i like longer headband units, but if you like, shorter hair, get up and go type hairstyle. This is definitely the unit for you um another negative. I think that's really all that. I have as far as the negative, so the positives definitely outweigh the negatives um. So my final thoughts on this unit - i think this is super. Cute um actually exceeded my expectations. I really did not know what i was expecting with this, but um. I don't know. I i was really hesitant on trying this unit out, but i'm really glad that i did. I mean it is super cute um kind of reminds me of rihanna's hair when she has that wet curly. Look i'll, probably put a picture here. Another negative. We can add to the negative list, so another negative for me would be um the limitation on versatility. So as far as longer headband units, you can do a lot of different styles. With this one you're kind of limited due to the length, it is only six inches long, also you're limited as to what type of hair bands that you can wear with this unit. You have to have to have to wear one that is thick in the back to cover that black band with the elastic piece on it. So you cannot just wear one that goes right here and stops and that's it um, because all of your business will be out in the back, so um that's kind of a bummer um, but other than that. That'S all the negatives that i have so alright guys. So again, this is a natural black, color, 6 inches long 69, and i did change my the front of my hair uh before i had a middle part and i just changed it to straight back just to see uh. What other look i can get out of this unit, so i think i like, without the part more um just gives a different look to it, but overall i actually really really like this unit. I did not think i was going to like it whatsoever like you. Could not convince me that i was going to like this unit like at all, but i have been proved wrong. It'S really cute with a little mousse in it gives it a little wet, looking effect, which i love so, and that is it. I will see you all next time.
