Chile, I Tried This Dyed Headband Wig And... | Supernova Hair

Hey charlie welcome back to my channel another day. Another person has a headband wig video on youtube. Now, listen, linda, listen, listen! I'M always going to give you something new new something different something you never seen before, and so when supernova hair contacted me about partnering on a video i was like. No, i feel, like you know, that's kind of overdone. I don't want to do it, but they not only sent me a texture that i liked, but they sent me some colors. I was like. Let me give her a new style, a new hairdo, a new cotton, a new color all without damaging my hair. So i said you know what? Let'S do it so shout out to supernova here. They sent me this beautiful storage bag, so you can know exactly what it is, of course they have their branding on it and the unit does come in this box. They also sent a wig cap, but, as you can see, mother's already prepared, and then they also gave an elastic band just in case you have an issue with fitting the cap to your head. You can, you know, add a little more take a little bit away. Just make it customized to you, they gave me some samples as far as head scarves and um headbands go, so here's a pretty scarf that they have to offer mother loves color. So i like that - and this is what it looks like. Oh this is really pretty. Like oh girl, wait a minute, that's cute, oh then, of course they do have the headbands, where you can slip them over your head and then you know just do like one of these numbers around, but the ones i like the most were the studded encrusted, headbands And i was not expecting this, so thank y'all for that, so this one is kind of like a gold and black situation, and this one is all you know, diamond princess, trina vibe. So i think i'm gon na just do this in repetition, but they also sent me a sample of their lashes and i'm gon na keep it real with your cheek mother. Look too old for this look at it. Look at this! That'S just it! It'S a little too over there, but if that's your thing, you go ahead and just do like your whole snuffle up get this last but not least, let's get into the hair. Oh, i wasn't expecting that okay, so i asked for a curly unit and this is actually 20 inches, and then it is a mixture of like a natural brownish, black color and then the number 19. As far as the highlights go. As far as the details on the unit they make it available in lengths 10 to 30 inches, it does not have any lace. The cap side is medium size, but it is pretty adjustable because again they gave you the elastic, strap that you can add to it. It'S high quality, 100 virgin human hair and it's pretty much a glue list, laceless type of unit. So you ain't got to worry about. You know your whole screen door, vibes and blending and ball caps and all of that it's basically kind of like a half wig and then they just add the headband to it and it usually has a velcro strap. If i can get it open on the inside. Again, there is no lace, it's a basic wig unit and as far as securing it, if you don't want to you, know like cornrow your hair and use bob pants to secure it. They do include clip in pieces on the inside so that you can go ahead and put that on and not have to worry about. You know flowing in the wind and going on off your head, so i'm gon na try it on real quick, but then, of course, i need to test the quality of the hair, because i need to make sure it's good and we're gon na co-wash it. So, let's see what it looks like before, i do anything to it. First, this is what i'm starting with. As far as my edges go, listen to me, i don't have baby hair. My baby hair is grown, got mortgages 401ks, paying off college tuition for their babies. I ain't got top of the baby hair, so i just took some gel brush it on back and put a cap on top. You do what you do for your head. Mother ain't got time for no swoops securing the wig is pretty easy once you have it situated and if you do choose to use the clamps on the inside to clip it down to your braids, just go ahead and slap that on there it's a simple one And two simple, as that and you ain't got to worry about no lace and all that take this good old clip and straight out of the box. The wig is installed, so i am going to use the diamond princess headband, i'm just calling it that just you know for the culture and i'm gon na just put this headband on top, so you can cover up that black elastic band - oh, that is so pretty - And, of course, this is straight out of the box. I haven't put any oil or any mousse on it to tame it, so we're going to get there. I just wanted to see what it looks like as soon as you put it on and honestly, it's kind of cute next time. I'M gon na put a good 24 inch because you know mother likes to dance like a uh um late, the other night at home, but this 20 is actually kind of cute. So what i'm gon na do in order to really bring this to life is to co-wash the hair, because first of all that is sanitary. Secondly, i want to see if this is going to like tangle up. Is it going to be a lot of shedding anything like that, so i'm going to go offline co-wash this unit, then i'm going to come back, show you how to tame it and how to care for it. As far as daily maintenance goes be right. Back all right we're back, and this is the shed hair that came out from me, co-washing, which is honestly excellent. So i really do like the construction of the unit. It was able to keep the hair attached while i gently co-wash - and this is actually just the motion that i do - i put the co-wash on it and then just kind of go up and down like that, so i'm getting ready to prep my hair um. While it's still wet and honestly, the hair really looks super pretty as far as the quality goes and the shine and i'm really liking the color. So this is what i'm going to do is take some mixed, chicks, daily, hair dress, it adds moisture and just the slightest bit of hold. So i do like that, and i'm just take that and work it all over the wig just to lock that in and make it look real. Pretty chad and i'mma rub it in until it's not white anymore and once the moisturizer is completely worked in, i'm going to lock it in by using a mousse. My favorite mousse is this design essentials almond avocado. It is amazing, so i'm going to take this and just lock in that curl and just rub the mousse on ever so gently all right and once the hair is completely saturated with the moisturizer, as well as the mousse to lock it in i'm gon na. Just lay it down flat to dry and once it's dry, i'm gon na come back and show you the results. The diamond princess has returned, and here are my final results. Y'All this hair looks so freaking incredible, um it dried. Amazingly, i just added a little bit of mousse on top just to get this crunchy look because you know mother needs this hair to come subject and lay like it got some sense as far as daily maintenance um, because curly hair - let's be honest, sometimes curly hair Needs a little bit more love and care than straight hair does, and so i do still use this mixed chicks daily hairdresser whenever i feel like the hair is getting a little wild and out of control, because i don't like to put too much oil on it. Um, but i do put this daily hairdresser on it and then i put some mousse on top to lock it in. If you follow me on instagram, you know, according to my stories, i wear these on a regular. I really truly do because i'm on a growth journey, i do my hair for youtube and then i slap a wig on it for the rest of the week either wig or body, but i don't touch my hair, so these wigs do really come in handy. I love the pop of color that this is giving me is giving me a different look without me having to damage my hair and when it's time to clean it. I usually clean it probably once a week or so just because i like my hair to be flowing and fresh and not have like a lot of weight down products, because even though this is kind of lightweight it's still a product, so i do co-wash it once A week just use a gentle co-wash, don't do any scrubbing because it'll cause it to tangle up just do kind of just like a gentle up and down motion with your co-wash rinse. It out put some moisturizer and some mousse on the ground about your business. If you are looking for you know some variety, because this is a style, but you could you know kind of get a little tired. You want to spice it up. Here is something that i would suggest number one. So i'm going to take a section of hair from the back and just two strand twisted see and i'm gon na place it across right and pin that twist. But of course i can't leave it like this, so i'm going to do the same thing on the other side and just take a chunk of hair from the back on the side and two strand twist it and that's a super cute style you can do, which Is effectively giving you your own halo, headband that you just created yourself, because you know we just fabulous like that. Another opportunity that you have as far as styling goes is just take it down the middle. You don't want to do like a perfect pour because again, it's not lace or anything like that. You don't want to be exposing your wefts honey, so just take the hair and do a loose two strand twist and pin it across the back. You probably see where this is going right. Of course, we're gon na do that to the other side, and you want to pin it across the other side and just like that, you have an elegant updo and in the back there are no wefts showing making birds a little nicer than me and then, of Course you can always do a ponytail, a bun two space buns a lot of different things you can do because at the end of the day this is human hair. So it can do a lot more than a synthetic wig, because so with that being said, see so, do i want to wear a braid or do i want to wear it down break down right now? You know what let's do a braid, because i feel like the braid adds some elegance, because this little diamond princess, tiara thing of thing just kind of up the antsy. So i'm gon na just do a side, sweat, braid, to close out the video okay yeah. I feel like this size what braid really goes in well with this um, this diamond princess tiara? Why do i keep calling it a headband child and then because i side swept it? None of the bottom of this headband wig is showing as far as the fabric in the velcro goes so overall, the actual unit itself. I love the pop of color that it's giving me because it's so different of a look for me because i've been you know, boring black hair for a while and mother been itching for some color. So this is kind of you know, kind of tame in the sensation. As far as the quality of the hair it held up beautifully when i co-washed it um, i felt like i didn't, lose a lot of hair and even after i detangled and add my product and everything. This is the total amount of hair that i lost and for a 20 inch wig. That is actually really good. That'S it right. There um, as far as daily maintenance, again add some moisturizer and some mousse and your curls will be popping. You can do a variety of styles, because it is human hair. Um just be mindful that sometimes when curly hair comes in the ends might be a little split and that's not just curly hair, any human hair that you order. It may have some split ends. So just trim that off and you're good to go. But overall i feel like this is such a cute look on me. I feel like a little princess for real, like i think it's really good. I just chose this one because mother just wanted to do some real exotica and i feel like i achieved my goal. I feel really really nice look like. I look like really pretty at this week or whatever.
