How To | Apply Your Lace Wig Safely With Glue

Apply your lace front wigs safely with adhesive (glue). It does sound scary but it is completely safe when applied properly. In this video I will quickly demonstrate how I apply adhesives for my lace front wigs.
Step 1
Make sure ALL hair is tucked away with a stocking cap and/or cornrow hair
Step 2
Cleanse hairline with Alcohol at least 91%
Step 3
Apply any form of scalp protector on the hairline. I like Walkers Tape Scalp Protector
Step 4
Apply a nice EVEN coat of adhesive, the one I am using is called Lace Up Adhesive
Step 5
Allow adhesive to dry and become tacky (15-20min)
Step 6
Secure wig starting from the center, taking your time and then work your way to the sides and press in. Allow a few minutes for the adhesive to set and dry clear.

We ain't talking about, got to be glue baby. This is not goal is this is not no taste. This is adhesive. This is below hey, guys. Welcome to my channel. Thank you for joining me today. Make sure you subscribe if you have not subscribed already, this video is all about glue and adhesives. So if your anti glue your anti adhesives, you anti tape, then Excellus. I can't say that glue can be a safe protective style. I can send my lash coming off. It'S like hanging you to using adhesive with your unit can be safe. It can be, it can be brutal at the same time. It'S all up to you, so you have to make sure, is put on properly and take it off properly because most of the time people struggle with their hair breaking off and in hair and just getting snatched because they don't take it off right. Alright, let's jump right into it, so the first thing you guys make sure that your hair line, wherever you're going to be applying the adhesive, is clean. So no makeup any debris, gel spritz, whatever you have get it nice and clean, we need some alcohol, 91 %. Nothing lower than this so get a cotton ball or swab and just clean. The next step you need is a protector. Now, don't y'all go and put this adhesive home without getting the skin protector. Now people you need to protect your skin. The professional side of me wants to make sure that you guys do this, so even if you are not a professional, you guys use it. So I just use the Walker Scout protector. I put this on my hairline now. This wig is from our TV show, and you knew that this one is gorgeous. You guys know how much I love RPGs. Their wigs are just a quality like I can't stress it enough. I get it. I know this pencil, for I have wigs that last me for years and speaking of years it is their birthday, their ten-year anniversary, so big up to RPG so be sure to check out the information box for all the details on this unit. When I first got it, it was super duper curly gorgeous gorgeous, but I had to bleach the nights I had to wash it and that's that's what you go get baby, so the curls are going safe, but you can definitely put the curls back in you see This this cap right here - I don't like the look of that, so I probably will take the cap off. I do not have a cap with my skintone, my skin complexion. I probably use one, but I do definitely recommend you. Using a cap on the hairline looks pretty good, actually really good. I did go in and tweeze just a little bit. These come free plus, so I didn't have to tweeze the whole lot. You see how it's blended in really good with my skin. I did not sent the lace on this because this lace is transparent, so it should blend in beautifully. This is part of reason why I haven't been on YouTube because I have been doing hair like crazy, mainly just extensions, wigs things like that. Do a lot of natural sounds, you guys know I'm a professional hair stylist. So I do it all adhesive by any means is not my favorite, it's not like. Oh you guys go out and buy this. This is just you know, for video purposes, I'm going to show you. It works pretty well, actually a girl on YouTube. I do not know her name, I'm so sorry, but I watched a video. This is her adhesive and it she did an amazing application. So I went out and bought it, and I love the fact that you get a lot for your money. It comes in a bottle and it's just very easy to apply now. Don'T get me wrong, I really love my gold spawn. This is kind of like, like I will get into all that if you guys want me to do a separate video on my different adhesives that I like, and what not know that this adhesive only requires one coat, whereas some other adhesive require a whole lot of Coat and because I'm not keeping this on a long time, I'm not going to do four or five coats, I'm not doing on it all right. So let's get started so I like this, because I only need to do one coat and this has to be a really good even coat so I'm taking it across my hairline and I'm smoothing it back into a little bit of my hairs, which is okay, because I know how to remove this. I have all the proper things I need to remove it, so I would recommend you guys invested in some good removal when it comes to a plain, adhesives and glue. So once you get a nice thin coat on there even coat you got to let this sit for about 15 minutes once the 15 minutes is up, you want to kind of touch it to make sure that it is tacky now, if you touch it and it Spring back at you or pieces are kind of stuck to your finger. It'S not ready so 15 to 20 minutes is what the adhesive recommend. So once you do that you're going to apply it and I like to start in the middle and then work my way to the side and take your time with this, you can move it around a little bit while it's still tacky. Once you got in position, I like to take the comb and just press it in once. It'S all pressed in I, like the part, a little bit of a hair, create some baby hairs. I'M not doing a dramatic look, I'm just sending it out a little bit. So it looks really natural, as you can see, I love fiber and you guys, like I love fiber, and so I created a little bit of that and then I'm going in and tweezing just a bit because it is a little dent in that area and I Just want to let you guys know that this adhesive is waterproof, it's like sweat resistant, and it can last you up to about. I want to say two weeks two to three weeks. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's two weeks and I'm not keeping mine on that long, but it really is based off your body chemistry, you guys. So if you really sweat a lot or you live in tomb in humid areas, then it will definitely differ for you. But for me here in Michigan is not really really bad, but I want something that's going to last a little bit longer than but got to be because once you put that got to be on baby humidity hid under your wig is like banks. katlady5000: Thank you for making this video. I'm new to wigs and I got the wig glue and wanted to know that right way to apply it. All these videos and they are using gel and calling it glue. That is not glue I don't want the wig to shift on my big ass head. I'm really happy you talked about scalp protector because I don't have that. Had I not seen your video I might have put the glue on without protecting my scalp. I don't need skin issues for wig glue. I'm losing my hair as I age so if I like this wigs may be my future.
