By special requests, I'm going to show you guys how to bleach bath your lace, wigs and, of course, these have to be human hair. This one right here is my body wave by platinum, wigs and, as you can see, she's extremely tangled. I'Ve had her for almost a year now this week. Right here is one of the to miss weeks, calm weeks that needs a beach bath as well, and, as you can see again, very tangling can't run a comb through. It looks really bad all right now, I'm going to show you guys how I fold the cap. It'S really important that you, both the cap very compact, you know make it really really small, because you just want to dip the hair only in the Clorox and also in the ammonia solution. You don't want to dip your cap because you don't want to destroy it and you don't want it to change colors and you don't want your knots to start to loosen up and so on and so forth. So I fold it up really neatly and then I use two ponytail holders to basically hold the cap down. I also get a lot of questions about the shampoo and conditioner that I used in the previous bleach bath, video that I did, and you know it's really important guys - that when you're watching a tutorial, if the end result is what you want to be your end Result that you actually use the products that their person is using, so I can vouch for the silicon mix. I can vouch for the apogee, but I can't vouch for anything else that you might use. All I can say is if you would like to use a different type of shampoo, just try it and if it doesn't work, then you know that you need to use what I use in this video okay. So now I'm going to show you the bleach bath method again and I'm gon na use 1/4 cup of bleach, I'm using Family Dollar. So people like to use Clorox they, like name brands. I don't really think it matters now. You'Re gon na take 1 quart of hot water from your tap and you're gon na pour that into your sink along with that Clorox bleach. On the other side of the sink, you want to go on to prepare your bowl of lukewarm water with soap or with your shampoo excuse me and again, that's what my wig looks like before the bleach bath. So on the right side of the sink. I have that bowl ready for when I take the wig out of the Clorox solution. You'Re gon na have to have that prepared now you're going to comb the unit gently for no longer than three minutes, and I am NOT submerging the cap into the Clorox solution and water mix only the hair again, please do not submerge the cap, and so this Is why I fold that cap up really tight indeed, and I kind of use it as a handle if you will to hold the unit, but just please make sure that you don't get any of that Clorox mixture or ammonia on your cap, because if you do, Then, of course, your cap will turn colors it'll turn white and also you know, Clorox and ammonia. Both they eat up material, so you don't want to damage your unit, so just be careful. I would suggest that this is your first time then just go on and use a unit that you don't care anything about, or when you hear that you don't care anything about until you get the hang of this normally, when I do my bleach baths, I will Do as many units as I can in that day, just so, I don't have to mix this mixture up again. So, as you can see, the water is just a little bit tinted, but not that much so I get a lot of questions about that. Will it take the color out of the hair? You don't lose that much color all right. So now I place my unit, the hair only and my shampoo and water mix and as you see, I always rinse them a sink out, because the next chemical that we're going to use, of course, will be the ammonia. So for three minutes, I'm going to gently comb my unit under the water or you know in my bowl, with the shampoo mix and of course I put a patchy in there at machine is really good for damaged hair and also you know. I just had a lot of it around, so I wanted to use it up too. Okay, so again, three minutes in the shampoo okay. So now we're gon na take three cups of warm water and the left sink and we're gon na place 1/4 cup of ammonia and again I'm using no-name brand ammonia. Some people like to use name brands is up to you, but I normally just buy a Family Dollar and I haven't had any problems and if you notice over to the right, I'm only submerging the hair itself. I am not submerging the cap so again, I'm using that cap as a handle and when I want to lay that hair down, I just make sure that the cap is on the outside of the bowl and out on the inside and again. This is three minutes. Okay, so I'm rinsing everything out now: I'm gon na head over to the ammonia side and you're going to dip the unit in twice, so you don't submerge it and leave it in there you're gon na just dip it twice and already you can start telling the Difference squeezing out all of the water and then I've already prepared my soap and water mix or shampoo and water mix on the right-hand side. I don't know why I keep saying so, but it is shampoo and again I'm rinsing out the sink to get all of that ammonia out and for three minutes on the right hand, side we're going to follow step. Three again, I guess that was three we're going to just gently calm the unit in these shampoo water mix sniffing it in and out for three minutes, and this makes such a big difference in your use. It really really does again if you have a virgin unit. You shouldn't have to do this because virgin hair is not processed only process hair after a while will need this particular procedure, and that is about it. It is very easy guys very easy, so give it a try. Okay, I am met with the finished product. I have three lace fronts here: three human-hair lace fronts that I actually did the bleach bath method on now you got a chance to see how I fold the wig, and you know again going through the same process that I did from the last video that I Did on a bleach bath method, it's the same for weeds as it is for wigs, but I've gotten so many emails about. Can you use this method on you know for lace, wigs or lace fronts? I thought I would come back and just do a separate video for your lace, wigs and, of course the answer is yes. Yes, yes, yes, you can use the bleach bath method on your human hair, for lace, wigs and on your human hair lace, wigs okay. So I'm going to go and order as far as which weeks these are because you guys have seen these weeks before you've heard me talk about time and time again about how important it is to maintain your wigs. All of these wigs that I have here and I'm on a pan a little bit. All of these wigs that I have here are a minimum of one year old, again, they're a minimum of one year old and I'm going to give you the names of them and I'm also going to tell you their ages. So the first one I have here is a platinum, wig body, wave wig. This wig actually premiered on my channel August 21st 2011, and this one is the newest of the bunch. It is almost one year old and I did the bleach bag method and, as you saw, she was very, very tangling and you know very dry looking I'm not gon na comb, this one to show you how you know she doesn't have any tangles, because I want To wear this one just like this and so see how the individual curls are and how pretty it looks. I don't want to disturb the action that I have going on here. It'S looking really good and, as matter of fact, it looks a little bit alike. Just a tad like Oprah's, wigs that she wears but um, so this baby will be a year old in about another month or so so again, you know you can keep wigs for a very long time. If you maintain them, okay and her glasses are falling off. I wanted her to look really intelligent for you guys and her glasses have fallen off okay, so we're gon na move that one to the side, the second one that I have here for you guys this one is actually a Miss weeks week and this one is The body wave, this wig made its debut November 22nd of 2010, and this one, I believe, was really my very first Miss wigs lace, wig she's still really pretty don't wear this one as much. I had to really dig to find this one, but I did do the bleach bath method and, as you could see, she's really really pretty. I like the curl pattern on this one she's really really pretty. You know what I'm sorry I'm wrong. I put them in the wrong order. This one is actually it's already two years old, this one debuted May 2nd 2010, so this one is actually the natural way a natural wave. I apologize for that. I kept looking at it. I was like oh no, no, okay! So this one that's the natural way. This baby is already two years old. She just turned 2 May 2nd of 2010. But again the same applies bleach bath method. Look at that! That is gorgeous, and so I will start wearing her again. I don't want to comb this one, because I like the way that curl pattern is - and these were just air dry I'll - lay them on the towel. Sometimes I'll put them outside if I can and but I actually dried these in the house on the tile - and this is the glueless cap - one okay push her to the back now. This one is the body way and she made her debut November 22nd 2010, and this is the one that I'm actually going to call, because I just want you guys to see that the wig is no longer tangle. I can call them this one, since this is the body wave and it won't matter, but even me just running my fingers through it, no tangles that was one tangle but big deal. You know before we couldn't even get my fingers through it. We could not definitely couldn't comb it that call just glides right on through. So, if you're really wondering if the bleach bath method works, it does I've had a lot of you to ask me how long I'm gon na be honest with you. I don't know how long, because when I did that video, I actually did it on some old weave that I had and I never didn't, use the weave. So I'm going to be a horse wearing these weeks. Definitely the platinum wig, because that's this one is really my weekend weird, because it's a 12 inch or so it's very easy to plop it on and to go around. My errands so I'll definitely be wearing that one. But I'm gon na give you an update on you know how long you know this process is lasts after doing it, but just wanted to come and show you how you know the bleach bath method works. You can use it on your wigs. You can use it on your weaves and again human hair. Someone asked me: can you use this on synthetic? I doubt it because you're putting the hair into chemicals and as you saw you, then you lose that much color. You lost just a little bit of color off of the hair. The hair was um, you know just a little bit tinted with the hair color, but you know it didn't strip the color at all. You still have your natural color there and it still looks through that, and you know I have wigs that have lasted three and four years, so I mean taking care of your investment is key, so it's not always about spending the most for wig. You can get a good quality wig, I believe for $ 200, and you just maintain that way again when that wig starts getting ready, looking or getting tangled just go on and give her the bleach bath method. If you have virgin hair virgin hair is hair, that's not processed, then you should not have an issue with tangling because it's virgin, so it's never been processed and that's a good way to tell if your hair is truly virgin to of you're getting kinks. And if it's getting naughty and if you cannot comb the hair, then no matter how much they tell you as virgin guess what it's been processed, some okay. So thank you guys for watching my channel. As always - and I hope this information was very beneficial to you. If you do have any more questions, please post them below and I will respond, take care and have a fabulous day.

1smores: Thanks so much for this video! I was about to throw away my 1 month old LF Italian Yaki wig due to excessive tangling, but today it is just like new! I followed your instructions to the letter and the results are truly amazing!!

MsWigCrazy: I did this to one of my wigs after I watched this from you last year ... and its still going strong..... and I've had the wig now for about three years!

エヌエー(ネフェル アズレさん): All I gotta say is thank GOODNESS for this video. I did this to two of my units and they are pretty much back to new. I ended up using the Silicon Mix since that's what I happened to have. Thanks for showing how to do this; I came really close to throwing away my hair but this completely salvaged and restored both units. Only thing I did differently for my curly unit was I used my detangling brush instead of the wide tooth comb since the wide tooth comb wasn't quite cutting it.

yvielia: Hey there! Love the bid and thanks for it b/c when I was looking for tuts on this last summer, don't think I found one. Anywho, just a quick tidbit: virgin hair can still tangle. It is whether or not the cuticles are intact and aligned that determines if the hair tangles. For example, fallen hair is considered virgin hair but b/c of the way its collected, the cuticles aren't usually aligned when wefted or completely cut off altogether. So just b/c its virgin doesn't ensure tangle-free hair. HTH!

Kinaya Foster-Anderson: Thank you! Brought it back to life like new. I had to submerge the entire wig because it was tangled & matted to the cap. But I did that part quickly. I didn't have silicone so I used Pantene ProV brown bottle shampoo & conditioner. I'm just mad that I've thrown wigs away in the past.

Tonya Jones: Thanks so much for the bleach bath technique. I bought back 4 of my 5 platinum wigs using this method.

joannasing: Thank you so much for putting this video up. I was about to throw away my wig because there was no hope for it! So I thought I'd try this method....and omg its LIKE NEW. Thanks again.x

nekia duncan: YESS ! BUT I DID IT TWICE FOR MY MOM AND IT WAS AN OUTSTANDING OUTCOME!

JmarieFirefly: That first wig is absolutely beautiful!!

Winona Dorsey: I am so appreciative of your video. I have 5 platinum wigs that are in need of this treatment. I will let you know how they turn out! Thank you!

peachaf: Thank you for a very educational tutorial. Going to do my wigs and save money. I will stop feeding my wig buying addiction. Thank you so much again.

King Of MakeUp: I will definitely be using this method!

MyssCC914: Very helpful tip! I have an rpgshow wig that has been tangling a lot lately and silicon mix hasn't helped much :( I added golden brown highlights to my unit. Do you think this treatment will alter the color?

LadyyMeesh: how often would you say you do the bleach bath to maintain such great hair? well definitely have to give this a try my wigs always get so tangled!

Shanika James: Just gave my rpgshow unit a bleach bath and it came out pretty good for my first time. How often do you suggest I give my wigs a bleach bath?

N.Shepard: Thank you so much!! You saved me money galore, thanks to your awesome tutorial. "When in doubt YouTube it out"  Somebody will know. You have a new fan.

Melanated_Queen: I actually put my whole wig in the bleach and ammonia water and it didn't fade my cap at all and my hair still turned out beautiful.

foxy Brown: Thank you dear! You explained very well and professional.

nekia duncan: i tried it sooo it came out good but i think im gonna try one more time thanks for all the info

Naturally Izzy: I recently bought the Soft Yaki Unstyled SF. I wanted to know if I can use this bleaching method to revive it? Also do you know if it is good idea to ombre platinum wigs?

STAR POWER BLU: Thanks so much great video Diva. :0)

Just Felecia: You're welcome. Thanks for watching. :-)

Lovnlace: Thanks for the info!

Gwendolyn Broussard: Can this method be done on synthetic hair?

YOUNAN1111: wow Wonderful job Thanks for video ^ __ ^

エヌエー(ネフェル アズレさん): how do you fold it if you are washing one with thicker, kinkier hair? That folding method looks great, but doesn't seem to work well on a wig with much thicker hair. it keeps coming undone and part of the cap goes down even after I try to tie it.

ambxkaay: did you try this method on a synthetic wig?

gwen27405: hey sis,can you still do this to yaki textured wigs? i have 2 rpg show wigs and they are dry. they seem to tangle alot

dawnesha singleton: Can you do this with kinky curly hair?

Joan S.: Can you do this bleach bath on colored wigs and not have it affect the color?

mscharita: My wig gets matted in the nape area and I wanna fix that? How should I do that so I don't mess up the cap. [i have a full CLOSURE wig]

Just Felecia: Thank you for watching.

Just Felecia: I would bleach bath the wig if you are having tangling problems. Or you can try a little hair oil in that area. See if that works first.

nekia duncan: does this work on a synthetic wig???

Adeline L Smith: Thank you your clip was very helpful.Adeline

Charlene718: So what exactly does this bleach bath do? You mentioned that the chemicals eat materials, so does it eat the cuticle layer of the hair? Is that what prevents tangling because there are no cuticles to rub together?

Denese G: If I use this method on colored wigs, do you think it will affect the color?

Just Felecia: I just put the glasses on the mannie they didn't come with. You can purchase mannies from Ebay or your local BSS.

99SweetCheecks: love the glasses on the mannequin....your wigs loook beautiful

Just Felecia: Thanks for sharing.

Amelia Roberson: hey does this work for syethic hair and will it work for different hair colors of weave

MoGiselleBeauty: would this method dry out my virgin wig?

Christina Johnson: That's awesome

AdrinaJohnson: Did your hair on your wigs thin out?

Melanated_Queen: And it was my first time doing it

Mahirah Baht Israel: I love ypur videos...thanks for the education on investments

Theglamjesus: but no one uses those products in their real hair anyways

Kiki Flash: yes i did,i think it was toooo late. i just cut it out, didnt want to... i didnt know bout the bleach bath until i watch the youtube video next time thats the way i will do it for now on...

MARINA GRAHAM: I will be using this method

sharla johnson: can anyone tell me how often and how many times you can se this for a peice/

Just Felecia: Nope. I just didn't comb them out.

Kiki Flash: i wash my wig now i have a bird nest in the back, is there anyway i can get it out...

Joan S.: thanks
