Hey guys welcome back to my channel. My name is sage. If you are new here, welcome be sure to hit that subscribe button down below as well. Let'S turn that post notification belt also down below for my channel, to be notified of all of my future uploads. So today's video is basically going to be a list of my favorite products for applying lace, frontals and lace, wigs to my skin and the products that I used to remove the lace frontals and the lace wigs from my skin. All of the products that I am going to talk about today in this video, as well as in previous video, that I have done a tutorial on. I did compiled a Amazon store together and I basically listed all of the products that I used on my wigs and all of my videos. So it is easier for you guys to find everything that I use so look down below in the description box. If you're interested in any of these products, so let's get started with the application process. So the first step when I am about to apply a lace wig to either my skin or a client's skin, is that I use alcohol. I use 99 % alcohol and I could not find this at my local Target or a local drugstore, so I didn't have to actually order this one online. That'S an amazing job at removing those oils and dirt from your skin, and you need like a clean base and foundation before you put your glue down onto your skin because you want it to stick and if you have oils - and you know buildup on your skin. It'S not really going to do a good job as sticking as long as possible. So it's really important that you do clean your skin with alcohol and I would not recommend you use a tissue or anything that rips when you're applying this to your skin because it will leave like you know little residue from the tissue. So I would recommend that you get like a face cloth or towel and actually clean your skin. That way, majority of the time when I'm applying a wig on camera for YouTube, I'm selling that wig directly afterwards - and I don't want to have it all for a week - I'm literally just wearing it for an hour for the review, video or, however long, and then I'M taking it off and washing it and then I'm reselling it on my website so those times and 100 % using got to be ultra glute gel, because I love the fact that you just pull orders to this and it comes off really really easily. You don't have to worry about your hair, you know getting damaged from glue, because this is not a glue, but more recently I applied this because I'm so used to putting this on all the time. I applied this to my wig and I ended up going to the club and I wasn't even dancing vigorously or anything like that, but the club was so hot and this is not a glue. It was so hot in the club like that whole atmosphere. It just affected the wig pretty much and when I went in the bathroom to check my makeup, I noticed that my wig was back here all the way back here, and that was so so embarrassing. I would not recommend using this for a long period of time. Like you plan on having your wig for a couple of days or if you want on a vacation and it's gon na be hot, you gon na be doing like whatever. Don'T don't don't don't reach for that that ain't with that floor and I had to learn that the hard way so take my advice. Let'S go spawn. Xl is waterproof. So if you are going to be some women, I wouldn't recommend swimming in a wig now. But if you are gon na have you know some of the wig getting wet and you don't want it to sweat off if you're going to the gym a lot or if you want your wig to stay on longer than got to be wood, I would definitely Recommend go spawn more recently, I switched over from go spawn supreme to go spawn XL. This is the one in the blue. Usually I use the one in the green, but I had an issue with that one, because whenever I would apply it to my skin, I noticed that it was really hard. Even if I use a really thin layer, it was really hard to get rid of the white residue. If I'm up close with someone and I'm face-to-face with a person, they can actually see that white residue, although I did put makeup on top of it, it's just not. I would prefer this. This one still does leave a bit of the white residue, but I find that as you're wearing it as the days are going on, the hair is getting older, the glue the white residue does disappear and how I applied this to my skin is by using popsicle Sticks so I have these popsicle sticks that I'll basically just take and I'll apply it really thin layers using these popsicle sticks and then I'll use my blow dryer to blow dry the glue. I do use about two to three layers of it. So I'll, basically just take very thin layers blow dry until it's almost clear but not completely clear and then I'll take another scoop of the glue and then I'll apply another thin layer. Then I'll blow-dry it again and I'll do that in total of three times, depending on how long I want to wait to last, so I do have this little mirror thing that I love. I do use this for my makeup as well. I love the fact that it is washable, so I do take my glue and I'll pour it onto this little pallet and then I'll take my popsicle stick and then I'll just you know smooth it out until it's like a thin layer and then that's how I Apply it to my skin and when I'm done with this I'll, just wash it. So if you are a new wig where you may not know this, but one final vital parts to applying a lace. Wig is having a head scarf to actually set the glue and to set your baby hair if you want baby hairs, so this is really really vital and you will be surprised how many people don't know how important this step is. This is literally sex. The entire wig down onto your skin - and you cannot skip this step unless you're getting it done by a professional, and they know how to avoid that, if you're doing it at home. You definitely definitely need this. Okay. So now that we have applied the wig down, you do have the option to cut baby hairs, and so the wig a lot of times when you order a wig, the baby hears a really long, they're, not really exactly set for you. So you do have to cut them a little bit shorter for them to mimic. You know natural hair cuz, not everyone's baby here comes downstairs shin, so you do have to go an extra step and cut your own baby hairs. I do recommend getting a razor blade. This is an old school razor blade and then I also take really really really thin parts of the front. Hairline and I'll use this comb. The tail of this combs, who really map out where I want the baby hair, is and to really map out how much baby. Here I want and then I'll go ahead with this razor blade and I'll cut that baby here to a shorter length and then, after I'm done that I'll, basically just use this part of the comb and some Gorillaz not gel, and I will mess with the baby Hairs to sue, however, I want the baby hairs to look at that point. The gorillas on gel is an amazing product. I swear by this. I use this on my own natural baby hairs. What I'm doing like little designs and all that so now that the wig is completely on. You may notice that your wig may have like some flyaway hairs at the top. And although you may use your trusted flat iron or your amazing, hot comb, which I have both of them and I use them on all of my wigs - you may still notice that your flyaways may still be there and as annoying as that may be, there is A solution for it, I typically use this my carrot, hair. This is a styling wax stick. My best friend uses this on her wigs and I got this from her. But basically you would take a scoop out and you would just basically massage that in your hands and go over the flyaways with this and you'll notice, immediately that the flyaways to go away. So I definitely use this with my flat iron and my hot comb and then I'll put my headscarf on to basically mold a part into the wig, because a lot of times we need your wigs. There isn't a set part and if you want, like a middle part or a side part, you do have the mold. That'S yourself. Another product that I swear by is this kenra platinum, silken Inglot. If you are going for a very sleek hairstyle like a ponytail, a bun, anything that you want to be very sleek and perfect and beautiful, I would definitely recommend this, because it does do a great job at adding Sheen to the hair without weighing it down without Making it too sticky or greasy looking - and I swear by this - I use this a lot in all of my mom's tutorials and if you do not get a chance to get your hand on that kenra styling wax. I definitely recommend sebastien shaper. I love using this because this is like a dry brush, a bow styling hairspray and when I am doing curls or if I want to lay down the way to mold onto my actual head, I reach for this before putting on my head, because it has a Really really really good job at really molding hairstyles. So I definitely recommend this one as well, and there are a lot of times where we apply wigs or it can be synthetic or virgin hair like if you're applying a synthetic way. You might have issue with the actual hairs on the wig being too shiny and if you're applying a virgin hair using a virgin hair wig using glue, you may notice that the actual lace is too shiny on the first day. So there is a product that you can use called, stop shine and basically you would apply that to either the hair or the actual lace and it gets rid of the shine. So I get a lot of questions asking what I use if I have like a gym wig that has like you know, an odor after your sweating a lot. How do you get rid of those smells and also, if you've gotten like some bundles that have been processed or whatever the case may be by time it gets to? You may not smell the way that you want it to smell. I get a lot of questions about how to mask those odors, so there are so many different methods to mask the odor that hair may have picked up. You can soak the hair in coffee, soak it in fabric softener. You can soak it in tomato juice. There'S so many different methods out there, but a really quick way to actually get rid of the smell in your wig cap is this de Mer, wig and weed system. This is a hurtle freshener that neutralizes odors a lot of people just use this without shampooing their hair, if they're, if they just want like to get rid of the smell really quickly before shampoo day. This works for that as well. But I mean it's not going to completely get rid of your odor from the gym 100 %. So just keep that in mind. Okay. So let's talk about my favorite methods and the products that I love to use when I am ready to remove a wig from my skin. So the first thing that I will reach for is lace release, and this is by Walker tape and I'll, basically just spray. This all along the perimeter of the frontal portion of the wig, where I apply the glue - and I was spray - a fair amount on the actual, wig and I'll, basically just massage that into my skin, and it does a really good job at working. But on its own to just lift that way, it releases the whole that the glue has on your skin and your wig will lift up, definitely invest in some type of remover. They do have some at the beauty supply store for a little bit cheaper, just get like a bond of remover. You know what the actual black glue that people use to apply tracks. They have a remover of that which also works when you're trying to remove glue. So you check that out soon, cuz, that's a cheaper alternative. It doesn't work as well as this, but if you cannot afford this at the moment, definitely check that one out once the wig is off. You may notice that there is white residue or actual glue residue on your actual skin. That is left over. That'S where easy-off comes in at and I have. This is called easy off. Adhesive remover you'll, basically just use like a face, cloth or a towel, and you will just rub that. Those areas where you may have like some leftover glue residue and it will come off really really easily. So now that we have the actual wig off and there is no more residue on our skin, you may flip your wig over and notice that there is build-up from glue. That is on the under part of your lace and that's basically because the glue is not going to disappear once you take the wig off, the glue is still gon na be on the actual wig, so I use c22 solvent and I would spray the entire portion Of the frontal where the glue is at - and I will basically just get a really good amount of this point to the lace - and I would let it soak for a few minutes - you don't want it to soak too much, because if you soak too much this Will actually loosen up the knots on the wig and you'll cause more shedding than your wig may have had before, so you don't want to submerge any type of principle in actual water. You don't want to do that because it you can submerge it for a couple of minutes, but you don't want to submerge it for an excessive amount of time. So pretty much. I would just saturate it with this and then I'll get a toothbrush, and I will basically just brush those glue balls or you know the excess glue off of the actual front Sonia does an amazing job at removing it. I recommend using a toothbrush because the toothbrush is really small. The bristles are small and does a really good job at getting in between the frontal and that's another thing: you don't want to go too hard with the toothbrush. It does do a good job at getting between the holes of the frontal, but when it does that it can cause extra shedding as well, because if you see the toothbrush is actually going through, the wig and you're brushing it. So it's causing friction on the actual knots and it's causing it to slip out and fall out into shed, and one more thing that I do want to mention in this video, too, is that it doesn't matter where you get rental from it. Doesn'T matter how much you pay for your front? So if you put bleach on your friends'll, your friends'll is going to shed your friends was going to have bald spots Russell. Eventually, it's going to start balding eventually, because an actual laces, so that lace, frontal, is so delicate and when you are putting bleach on it, its damaging those follicles, it's damaging those nuts and it's making the hair fall and shed. So you may have noticed if you've ever put bleach on her frontal before or on a wig before it looks really really good. Don'T get me wrong, this really great, really natural, but you will notice like, after a long time, wearing this wig after a prolonged wearing of this wig, you will notice that it does start to shed. It does start to bald and that's just something that is inevitable when you're wearing any lace wig or when you put bleach on the actual wig, it's damaging it. I do definitely recommend getting a knot sealant if you use a not sealing that does help and it does assist and slowing down the loosing of the knots. But you know with aggressive brushing aggressive combing, and all of that is still going to shed it's still going to shed. So I just wanted to clear that up. It doesn't matter where you purchased it from all frontals, always they do [, __, ], so weights to avoid that completely would be find other methods for making your your lace frontal. The color of your skin, like use foundation, use makeup, use some type of body spray or whatever just find other methods of making it look like it's bleached without actually bleaching. It that's my best recommendation. Second, a lot of questions about the mannequin head that I use her name is Keisha. I get a lot of questions about Keisha comments-section she's, like a cork manikin head, and I love the fact that she's like molded to this shape, because in the back my head may not be the exact same size that she is. But in the back where my cornrows are, he should her head is basically the same measurement as my head when I have like my cornrows down. So I know if a weight fits Keisha's head perfectly it'll fit my head perfectly. Sometimes the wig may be a little bit too big, but I know that how it will fit my head basically on how it fits Keisha's head so 9 times out of 10. When I am cutting a lace wig. I do put the wig on Keisha first and then I use my scissors and I go along the actual hairline of the wig, and I cut it with these scissors and the reason why I do this on Keisha's head is so that I can actually see the Knots so that I'm not cutting over the hairline and that I'm really taking my time to you know, get a good cut to get it as straight as I can possibly get it. As you see what I'm doing at the same time, because if I'm holding the wig and I'm cutting it, I am liable to actually cut into the weight too much, actually cutting it on this made it so much easier. So I definitely do recommend you putting it on an actual mannequin head, while you're cutting the lace and that's if you're not cutting it on your actual head, which is really advanced. So unless you're, getting it professionally cut by a professional, definitely try to cut it. On a mannequin head, because that will help you see better visually, what you're doing and how you're cutting and how it's looking as you're, going along the hairline and when I'm doing any type of tutorial or when I'm cutting the lace. And I have the wig on Keisha. I will basically just put her on the stand and I do have all of the links down below where you can pick this one up as well. So those are pretty much all of the products that I used and that I love and that I swear by when I'm applying lace, wigs and when I'm removing my last week's. Alexis Riggan: Hi I know this video is a little older but I’m attempting to install my first front lace wig and I was wondering, if it’s lace and glued in the front but the back just clipped, is it impossible to do an updo? Or showing anything behind your ears, would it be obvious it’s a wig or how do you make that less noticeable?

Kiara Duncan: thank you so much for the glue tip because I'm not a big club person but I just turned 25 and my friends want to take me out to a club. I use Got2be for the same reason (plus I only go to work and come home like.. I don't feel I need a real glue) but I will be purchasing that waterproof one for that night and for those certain nights with my hunny when we.. *cough* *cough* lol once again, thank you!

Cassandra Renée: @4:55 where do you think I could find that item ?.I've been trying to find something like that for the longest, so that I can flatten out my makeup inside of using the back of my hand.

akatobi2002: Can you do a wig storage vid?? I tend to keep mine in the box but idk it seems like that mishapes some of the cheaper ones.

E Johnson: Guuuurrrrrrrrll, Keisha is stressing me out. Why her head shaped that way? All jokes aside, this was an extremely helpful video. Thank you SO much for posting it. Some of the products I already have and some are new to me. I will definitely try a couple of the ones that are new to me such as the “lace release” and “ez off”. I am completely with you on the shedding. I’ve ruined a couple of extremely expensive wigs like that. They were fine at first and then gradually began to shed to the point of having bald spots. They shed more and didn’t last as long as my non-bleached wigs. I am using a different non-bleached method that I’ve picked up right here on you tube using the Sally Hansen airbrush spray which works really well for me. Thanks again doll!

TashaSoSimple: Omg at ur wig being way back there...girl my wig actually flew and fell off a couple times smh...sick
