Back to the morning blend, hair loss could be a very difficult turn into whether your loved one is going through chemotherapy or has alopecia. The right wig can make all the difference in a person's confidence. That'S right and our next guest is an expert brighter and wig maker who loves to share those skills with others, meet mark Rena, Breslin, the founder and CEO of lace, wig training center good morning. Good morning. I love your story. Thank you so interested how you got started. You'Ve always been interested in hair. Yes, you've started braiding hair at a very young age, and but it's taken off quite a bit from there tell me about what you do. I never dreamed that it would get this far. I started braiding when I was six. I taught myself a lot, my Cabbage Patch, at all um. You know I barley right ones with the yarn hair. It was great, it was awesome but um. I brought it all throughout high school and in the military also, but then my mother in 2006 was diagnosed with breast cancer in stage 2 and it was very devastating for me. I'Ve always been very close to my mom and she lost all of her hair. After going through chemo - and it was tired of seeing her wear these unflattering wigs, so I said mom I have to make some bridges. Let me make you a wig and let's see how it goes so she was just she didn't care. She was just happy to be alive, of course, so you know she said: okay, that's fine, and when I did it for her and made - and it wasn't a regular wig, it's the type of ways that they use in a theater in film industry. So I figured why not be able to give that same. Look to someone who is a normal person, especially someone going through chemotherapy or hair loss, and so when I did, it was incredible. Her reaction was just amazing, and I said if I can do this for my mother. What could I do if I teach this skill to other people, so they can go and do the same thing love us you're, teaching us how to fish yeah? Yes, exactly people can learn how to do this. Yes, people can definitely learn how to do this. I'Ve been teaching it for a very long time. I'Ve trained people from all walks of life all over the world. Wow people in the film industry, the theatre, makeup industry, just a lot of mothers who have you'd be surprised how many children suffer from permanent hair loss with alopecia. Well, I was just contacted the other day by a young lady who has been wearing ways that she was 7 she's in high school now and it's very devastating and a lot of people don't understand how that can really really hurt on the inside. Because, as a woman, you know our hair is our floor, it's everything, hey! You know what I'll say my cohost here I got hair restoration. We are only running away from me. I'M like you get back over. That'S right! That'S right! This is this kind of defines you Rahmani forehead. Nobody bigger, it looks great. You look up. Thank you very much, but this is why this is so important. Yeah lose that defining piece of you. You want to get it back, that's right! It'S so interesting too. I know you had at you, you were in the Air Force yes for many years, yes, and - and you took care of a lot of people there, helping people with their hair, whether you're cutting it or bring it or making a way. It'S it's. A very personal experience: they really share something. We do and I like to say that as hair stylist, we get to change people's perception about how they feel about themselves. So they come in feeling one way, maybe down and not feeling all that good, but they walk out feeling like a brand new person and a lot of professions don't get to do that. So I'm not do it. I think it's very special and it's incredible. It'S amazing, I think it's worth noting by the way that you're still doing the braiding, but you decided you've had enough for yourself you're, like I love this one. Thank you very much. I am. I don't like to do a lot to my hair yeah, so I just chopped it all off there we go, but you like doing a lot to hair. Yes, I do right if you want to get involved, how to do so, then you simply go to lately. Training center calm, I have an event coming up in September of this year. Here in Vegas is my first event. Omega risk awesome. Yes, I'm very excited about that. It'S a two-day live event and we have a lot of fun. It'S hands-on! I am very hands-on with everyone very personable and it's just a blessing to be able to to teach other people, like you said earlier. How to fish have to be a hairdresser in order? No, this! No! You do not have to have a license to make lace. Wigs that is a lot a lot of people, don't know that it does not require you to have a license to do that. That'S why it's so interesting. Now many of the people that you have trained, where are they using their skills? Some might be for a family member yeah they're there they're actually using them in a profession home correct, so some have been using them in the theater in film industry. Yeah, a lot have been using them in the salon because, with a lot of these medications and things these days with side effects, people are losing their hair and they don't have a solution and unless they go to a professional who specializes in hair loss and hair Replacement also, a lot of mothers come for their daughters and their children and just all different walks. It just all depends: we've had a lot of cosplay people come come on, yeah, it's roll and to see them. What they do after is incredible like your little stuff that they do after learning. The skill is incredible. It'S awesome really a great thing to have, so you need at least weight. Thank you so much. Thank you guys for having me all right. Lace, wig, training center. You can visit them on their website or call the number on your screen, proud sponsors of the morning, bun they're all over social media and make sure that you catch that event. Captaining the September
