Hey guys, I look kind of weird sorry. I haven't finished my makeup. I got highlight all over my lips, but I want to show you guys how I secure my weight down most of the time I don't glue or jail. My wigs down. I always use an elastic band, it works for me. I don't have to worry about our wig moving or shifting or girl even flying off. So my method is pretty secure. What I use is this non roll elastic band. You can pick it up from any fabric store. I always get my eyes from jo-ann's fabric store or Walmart. This is a one inch I prefer the 1 and 1/4 or 1 and 1/2 just because the width of it is a little bit more thicker. So when it comes to putting on the elastic band, I prefer to have my hair braided and a stocking cap on before I get ready to to apply. The bands take my elastic band behind my head like this, and I take one side and bring it to the front like pretty much where my eyebrows begin and I like to pull it all the way around and I'm pulling the elastic band until I get to The other side, where my other eyebrow begins. I like this method, because it makes my wig feel a whole lot tighter, not to the point where it gives me a headache, though this is how the back would look and then, over time you will have to replace this elastic band because it will lose the Stretch the more you wear it stuff now, let's get to the sewing part. Okay, so I'm going to take the band and place it behind the hairline, and you want to do this so that you don't see the elastic band on the hairline. So then, I'm going to take the other piece and place it where I want it to be and pretty much when you're doing this guys, you want the elastic bands to be going in the same direction, so both of the ends will be going inward and I'm Just taking a needle and I'm just threading the elastic band onto the wig cap, I am sewing the bay and on the lace, which is perfectly fine, but make sure you don't pull too tight because you definitely can rip the lace and that and what you want. Sis, so I'm just going to continue to do that all around, and this is what it should look like once you're done so go ahead and clip the lace, tie your knot in it and go ahead and do the opposite side once you're done. This is what your wig should look like. As you can see, the inside is going in the same direction. This is how you put it on. You have the front of the wig facing you and you have the back of the wig or the inside of the wig facing facing the opposite direction of you make sure the band is completely straight and I'm going to turn to the side. Okay and you can pull it and, of course, go ahead and adjust a wig and it's not going anywhere. You can see you can still put the hair up in a ponytail, but keep in mind the back is not secured. So that's how the back would look with the wig on. You can always take your comb in the back of the wig and push it underneath the band. So all right! So let's move on to styling this way. Okay, so a little bit of information about this wig this week is from Lumiere hair. I think I'm pronouncing that right. This is a lace front. Wig you get about three inches of parting space, which is okay. I mean I prefer a little bit more, but hey we're gon na work with what we got from the density on this week is one hundred and thirty percent. I'M using this new eye on crimping iron that I got from Sally's and I actually like it. I was very skeptical about it at first because it looks like it's kind of complicated to use, but it's a really nice crimping iron. It gets hot, really really fast, as you guys saw a couple minutes ago. I was using it to press out the roots on my hair and it was really really hot, so yeah I like this little crimping iron. I'M definitely gon na have to play around with it a little bit more because I'm trying to figure out which way is the proper way to use it. But when I used it this way, I actually like the way the crimps look, so this hair does hold the style really really well. I didn't have to use any type of holding spray or anything. So that's a plus I haven't experienced any type of shedding or tangling with this hair. So that's really good as well. The hair is a little dry only thing I need to do to fix. That is add a little bit of oil and I'm good to go, and then I'm gon na apply my favorite wax stick, which is by lustres. I love this. I got mines for my local beauty supply store. I just like to use this better than like using holding spray or water to tame my fly aways just because it doesn't leave my hair stiff and it just looks like a whole lot better. So I'm just going to you put a little bit of baby hairs in the front to cover the lace just a little bit and finish off the look by adding a little bit of foundation to the part just to make the part pop. If you guys are interested in purchasing this wig, I will have all the purchasing information below, as well as everything that I used in this video thanks for watching guys I'll see you all on the next video

AAron Thom: Should I expose the fact that I’m a white male and just FASCINATED by all of these wig application videos, I just can’t stop!

Munchkin Boss: Looks so good! Thanks for the tips! Just bought my first front lace wig. I hope I can make it look as good as you did your! I was really worried about it falling off so im going to try this elastic band idea.

Aminata Jalloh: God bless you sister. You saved my wedding lace wig someone custom made for me. It was way too big, so I did it over and it's way too small. Your method works perfectly. The only thing that I did differently was to sew a small part of the elastic to the back. It fits like a glove.❤

Tiffany: Exactly what I needed. I felt defeated and overwhelmed as a beginner and all I needed was a band.! Thank you!

Mariam Nafi: Omg i’ve been looking for a way to have a lace frontal without having to gel it down! You’re the goooat sis

Shuawn L: Thanks so much i was having a hard time installing my human lace wig to make it glueless. Your the only YouTuber I saw installing the elastic band all the way around like that. Such a great idea!!! This is the method I was looking for. I will be trying this method soon. Thanks again

Ddee 51-G2G: Thank you very much for this tutorial on putting the stretch band on the wig and head. it was very helpful and clear, you are a good instructor.

M.Y.S.: i knew about this method a long time ago but im glad you did a video on it to remind me when i start wearing wigs again. I never glued my wig down and im trying to take better care of my edges, so this is what i am most likely going to be doing! thankss!

z2010able: I never knew this tip and I've been following wig tips for about 2 years! Thanks.

Brown Skinned Baby Doll: ladies do not place your band from eyebrow to eyebrow or else you will have the same rippling of the lace on the sides like she has. the proper way to sew your band on is from right above the ear tabs.

Cupcakes Lover: Thank you for this video. I love the deep waves in this wig....

Soph M: Forgot about this method! Thank you so much for this !❤️

Pretty Gang: Thank you! I wanna give wigs a try and keep my edges as well, lol. This was very helpful!

MsChiffon: love that crimping iron it is so pretty as well as your hair

Landarow: It looked really nice once you completed the installation. I did notice @ 3:33 that it is lifted on the right.. could a longer piece of elastic keep that from happening or is that just the way the wig is made a bit big?

Jorginho Santana: perfeito , amei ..........

SAMERAH SAAD: Perfect. Love your video. Safer for our front hair. I prefer this to the glue

Lydie Mbida: Thanks for the video. Very good method.

Genesis L.: Greetings. Which foundation did you use for the part?

Nicki Nicole: Yaaaaasssssss back to back with the hair videos I love it

Dia Wright: Like someone had mentioned before. This is MOST DIFFIDENTLY a quick run to the store or any other quick run, by band placement. Because the rolling edges in front of the Lace has got to be address. Before stepping out somewhere important. "Who does that" Cause that is not a good look. Does anyone have any suggestions that might allow you to truly go GLUE-LESS. Without the edges of front looking sloppy???

Keesha Codling: Hi can u tell me the name of the iron u used in this video please? Loving the outcome

Satirical / Sartorial: Come through with that crimp! Great video

TEEJAYBOS: Great alternative to glue, do the band come in nude color?

kiywo: the crimper is so nice I thought it was the natural wave from the hair

Claudia Moss: New subbie! I’m getting my bands this week!

Boom Shaka-Locka: If you are here for CRIMP details. She has already stated that they are by ION. You can get them at Sally's beauty supply. Much thanks to her!

Constance Reed: Girl thank you so so so much for sharing....My first time seeing you...

Nicole Nunya: I have the same crimper. Used it on my bob and LOVED it

Spiritually Young: Great video. Glue of any kind on the hair is a bad idea. I purchase my wig grips from Amazon

Ilene Abraham: Great advice thanks hunny I love your video

Pretty313Eyez: what to use when washing bundles??

TheOfficialDreamChaser: Where did you get the crimper from?

Lyn T.: You’re so beautiful! I have a very small head and when I wear even a headband it slips off the back of my head. What would you suggest for a band to sew on a wig for me?

SimSimma1981: I guess you being the US you do not experience wind, this method would be a nightmare for me in the UK. The ear tags not being secured down would be exposed if it was really windy, so not a good look for me lol

Dolphins life: Thanks for the info about the elastic band.

k03271: I have a 360 wig. So sometimes I'm probably going to want to pull it all up. Could I still put an elastic on it and tuck it or would that look crazy? Lol

Shanna Lakale: Hello nice video, can you give me the product name of the wax stick you used in the video?

The one: Love this ❤️ Thank u

S. Crockett: I ✔ THE VIDEO BEFORE I EVEN SEEN IT. J-U-S-T BECAUSE I #LOVETHEHAIR!! SUCH A WORK OF ART!

SuperModel Atlanta: Girl yesss u did that

Giavona Bellanoti: Lovely young lady, beautiful hair but I think the "Glue" is a must just saying better to be safe than embarrassed much love ❤️

Ray Ray: Loved the video. Is this wig synthetic or real hair?

Ms LadyWuzzam: I think she did a nice vid. But with the elastic band sown in like that, u can do a pull-up ponytail and hide the nape area band. But all in all i loved it! Thx Dyamond Myne

T J: Wow this wig is bomb!

Love me: Please do a updated skincare routine

Zi Harrison: Good video but how do I secure the edges without glue ain’t nobody got time for edges to be messed up

Samantha Ridley: I love what you Ladies are doing. But the amount of time and effort invested is way way more then I could handle. But it's beautiful. Love it!! But 2 things I have not seen any short wigs which I need and there is no statement on the price. Can you get back to me?? You are fantastic!!

Labella Trix: Where’d you get the wave maker?

Dee: Those crimps!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Zain Kamara: Hello dear, can you please send me the link to the flat iron.thank you

Kai Fran: this is pretty and so are you

L .B: Do you think the method can still work if you only sew around the lace part @2:25

Rodneia Mitchell: how do you do the back so that you can put it in a ponytail. does it just clip on to your head, because how do you get the lace not to show

TMTTucker: So, laying the baby hairs helped lay the rolled/lifted edges in the front when youbfirst put it on... that's all you had to do?

Prizzy Dee Dee: I thought you discovered a new innovative method of securing a wig. The elastic band method has been used since 2010. It was introduced on black hair method called the "tootsie method."

The Second Coming: Bless your ❤..Thank you boo!!

Safiyyah Washington: What did you use to lay your baby hairs
