Hey guys and welcome to my channel for those of you who don't know me, my name is Kasia. Yes, it's Kasia. I get that so often, so many people think my name is Keisha. My name is Kasia. I know you, I think every black girl I do. Hair name is Keisha, but my name is ki asha aka ki, which a lot of you guys know me as aka Gita glam from Instagram now YouTube kita, glam yeah, so ki asha ki cute glam, whichever you prefer okay. So today i wanted to talk about closure. Wigs vs frontal wigs. This is a question that i get from clients a lot of time, just wanting to know. What'S the difference between the two wigs so to start off, let's just talk about a closure week. A closure wig is going to be that wig that you can take on and off, and it's good for clients who are very low maintenance who don't want to do a lot to their hair and, like I said, who want to be able to take it off. Put it back on, they don't want to have to deal with installing the way so for my closure, wigs, they are made with a lace closure. I do put a strap on the closures, so that's what's going to keep it down and keep it secure these wigs, like I said you can take them on and off. I tell my clients all the time. This is gon na, be your a low-maintenance wig. That is not going to require you to do much now. The way I have on right now. This is a closure wig and I am gon na. Take it off and show you guys like how I put it on and take it off and how super super easy. This wig is too man, so I know I've been putting up a lot of like wank sales and, if you guys wanted to do any wigs on order awake a custom wig, whatever style you may like, I would recommend doing a closure wig. This is gon na, be one of those weeks that I just like we're in quarantine right now. You can just throw this wig on and you're ready to go, not that we got nowhere to go, but if you do, if you were going somewhere and you just needed to slip something oh you're hearing down. Oh close, your wig, it's gon na be the best for someone like that now. What I want to do is I want to take this wig off, and I want to put it back on and show you guys how easy it is to wear my lace closure. Wigs okay, so first I want to say under all of these wigs make sure you are wearing a wig cap. This is going to make it. I won't say it keeps your wigs flatter, but it just for me. It protects your hair so that nothing is rubbing up against your edges. I always wear some type of way cap now. I know a lot of people do all these the. What does they call the wig ball cap method? I don't do that. That'S too much for my clients to deal with. I don't do it myself. I don't press that on any of my clients, so literally just make sure you have a flat base, whether it be your hair braided down. You can pull your hair back in a ponytail, but just whatever it is. It just needs to be flat. So that's the first thing under all these wigs, that's going to keep your wig nice and flat. You want to have a flat base. So now we're going and we're talking about closure wig. So this is the week that I was just wearing right. This is one of my regular, my always I throw and I'm work in or when I'm going somewhere it's at the grocery store, whatever it is. One of my go-to wigs now this wig it is a closure wig, meaning it as you guys can see, is a lace closure, and then this is the strap that I talked about with the closure weeks and it is made on a regular dome cap. So this is how you're gon na put your closure wigs on first thing I do is this: I take this strap and I put the strap on first so you're just going to put the strap on get your ears together, just like that. Now that you have the strap on you're gon na, take the wig and you're just going to pull this wig over just like that, then you want to just kind of like I just did the way you need to adjust it whatever you need to do to Just adjust that wig and make it comfortable for you voila there you go, and this is your closure. Wait like I said that strap on it. It'S gon na keep this wig nice and secure for you. Sometimes my clients asks for me to put clips on it on my person, my wigs personally, I don't put a clip in there, but sometimes a client may want a clip in the back to make it a little bit more secure, but I can let you guys Know it's pretty secure, it's not going anywhere and that's me really tugging on it. But people know I've worn my wig. They know they don't have to worry about it coming off its slide in doing none of that. But this is gon na, be the nice convenience of a closure wig which, like I said this is gon na, be low maintenance for the woman on the go. You just want to throw something on in and out the house good to go. You can pull it behind your ear if you like, however, you want to wear it close your legs super simple. This is the middle part. You can also do it with a side part. It doesn't matter, I'm pretty much if you want to side over the part. I can pretty much make you a wig for the I sometimes well another thing with the closure waves, I'm very big about you know how I am about things being flat. So one thing that I like to do with all my wigs is I like to sometimes just take my curling iron or curling wand, and I like to just run it over the top of the wig. It'S nothing that I hate more than seeing somebody wearing a wig and the wig looks like it's like sitting up on top of their head. That is not how your wig should be looking, I don't care. The purpose of the wig is for them to be flat. This is not a closure, so in that grows out. This is a week, that's sitting on your head and it should sit on your head flat. So this is just a little trick that I tell my clients - and I do for myself - is I'll. Just take my curling iron and I will run the curling iron right over the top of the week. So, as you guys can see that wig is laying flat. That'S what we want supers reflect so yeah, that's what we have for closure. Wigs, if you guys, are interested in closure wigs, I am gon na put the link to my website on this page. If you are interested in the closure wig, you can shoot me an email, letting me know the style. If you want this style, maybe you want it longer once you see what I would not put on frontal wing, maybe you like that style of that frontal wig. I think in a lot of requests about this next week. I'M about to show you guys, but it is the frontal wig. It is a little more maintenance. So I would not recommend this next week that I'm about to show you guys. I won't recommend that way for everybody. I'M just gon na be honest with you. You'Re gon na get home you're, not gon na know how to put it on it's gon na be. Are you gon na be calling me, and I got time for all no but seriously. This is gon na be a more convenient way, especially if you're new to wigs this closure. Wig is gon na, be better for you and I'm not saying that because it's better for me. Obviously the frontal wigs are more expensive. I make more money off of them, but I'm just very honest with my clients about the work that they're gon na want to do when they get home most of the times the wigs are supposed to be easier. You have to do all that you probably could wear your own hair, but this is gon na, be an option that is gon na. Be super super easy beginner. It'S a beginner friendly wig. So if you've never worn a wig, it's super easy, but you can go ahead and if you want to try it, you can email me I'm if you know you already said I am taking wig orders. While on quarantine and yeah, we can go ahead and get started and having a wig ready have it sent out by next week, girl, maybe sooner than that I got much going on. But yes, so that's the clutch, wig! Okay! So now, let's talk frontal weeks. So this is a frontal wig that I made. This is a frontal and I believe I did 16 inch frontal and two bundles 18 inch yeah, that's what I did for this forgot a smaller head, so I don't use a whole lot of hair in my wigs. Yes, I colored this hair myself completely made this frontal wig myself. So this is just the wig just sitting on my head, but I wanted to kind of go over some of the things. That'S a little bit different from this week versus the closure week. So, with the frontal weeks - yes, the way it looks great sitting on my hair like this, but if the wind blows or anything happens, what happens what the frontal wig is? We have these little tabs, so that is the difference with the frontal week versus the closure week. This week needs to be somehow installed. Now, when I say installed, I don't mean you have to use glue because all of my frontal wigs are, I guess you can call them glueless. But when I say glueless I just mean that I'm not using any type of adhesive on the wig I'm using too. But you have to have something to hold the wig down, because this frontal goes from ear here. So typically, when I am installing it I like to use my got to be glued hairspray. It has a strap in here the same as the closure week, but because it does have these little tabs, we have to somewhat tack this week down. So I'm just gon na kind of go over this ain't. Like the same thing, I did with the closure wig. I'M gon na take this off, put it back on, so you guys can see and i'll show you one side of like how i tack it down for everyday now. I do not specialize in frontal wig, so let me just say that I make wigs right and some of my wigs happen to be frontal wigs, but as far as the installing it's not gon na be the same. Install that you see all these people on Instagram do know, because majority of my clients are not gon na know how to do that when they get home. I don't do it, so I don't teach them to do it like that. When I wear my wigs, I don't do that. I try to make my wigs. You know somewhat easy for the everyday woman where you don't have to do too much. I feel like wigs are supposed to be protective styles they're supposed to be. We do wigs because it eliminates a lot of time in the morning more. We have to worry about doing our real hair, so I don't want to make anything too hard for my clients. Let me I just wanted to state that, but I will say that this wig, a frontal wig, does take a little bit more work than a closure. Wig would take with the closure. Wig put it on, and off and you're good to go with this. You are gon na need to take at least about a good 20 minutes in the morning to basically install this week, so I'll be right back and we're gon na put the wig on. So you guys can see okay. So now we are back and, as you can see, I have taken the wig off. Look at that beautiful color. Yes, she was coming by me. This wig was black. You know when I first made it, but yes, I colored. It means beautiful luscious golden bombshell, wig anyways, so this is a frontal wig. So, just like I showed you with the closure wig, you were able to see that the closure was literally just this piece. The difference with the frontal wig is, as you can see, the front of the wig. It does go from ear to ear. You still are gon na put the wig on the same way that you as the closure. The only thing is, the difference is like I said these tabs and things like that. You are going to have to adjust them, so we're gon na go in and we're gon na put the weight on the same way. We put the closure wig on so we're going to start with, but no strap-on furs and then we're going to get it so okay. So this is the wig literally on my head: no install, no, nothing just putting it on my head and for some of you guys, you guys are like okay, I'll look you, okay, I can get. I can. I can work with that, but what you need to make sure you can work with is, if you're going to know how to install it. So, like I told you guys, I don't want to do one side of what I do like I said I don't specialize in frontals, I'm just showing y'all what I do for my frontals and this works for me. Some it may work for you. It may not work for you if this doesn't work for you, then okay, that's fine, but if you did want to try a frontal wig and you were curious as to what it all comes with, then I'm going to show you guys right now, alright, so the First thing that you have to do when you are: is you want to pull those tabs forward and all the rest of that hair? That'S not you want to pin it back. So, let's start off by doing that, verse now mind you. This is I've worn this wig, so it's pretty much kind of already set and fit to my hand when you to get your wig made. You know they try to adjust it and make it and cut the baby hairs out. All of that stuff should already be done, so I'm not going through. All of that, this is only just showing you guys a little bit that it takes for me to install. So the first thing I'm going to do is, with my got, to be glue spray. I am going to kind of lift that tab up a little bit and just spray. You want to spray all on the area where you are going to be put in the wig down, I'm just going to move those baby, I'm so sorry yeah, it's hard to do this, I'm literally just pressing that got speed, glue spray and spreading it out on The area that I'm about to put it on it's kind of hard to do it and you got ta, see it, but you get the gist so now that I have sprayed that got to be glue where I want okay. So now that I have sprayed the area I'm going to take my blow-dryer and I'm gon na put it make sure you put it on a cool setting. Now, I'm just going in just for maybe like spots that I don't feel I got really really good, because we want to make sure that it is secure yeah and I'm just going in and spraying that spray right on the lace. Try not to spray it too. Much on the hair and more so one leg, one thing that you guys might see me doing. Is you see me with a comb? Sometimes people use the rat tail combs have the metal in it really don't matter to me like I said this should not take you that long, we are not doing a full-on install, it has a strap, so it's already securely laid on your head. This is just to lay it down, so I'm not doing anything crazy. This is going to be super super easy. I just went back in and sprayed that lace with the more if they got to be glue hairspray and now I'm just back on my coolest setting and I'm just letting it dry and why now your wig is gone. It is secure now the thing that comes next. Are these baby hairs? Now people do different stuff with these baby hairs me not really my thing not really big on the baby hairs so because I'm not, I literally just kind of maybe get my little comb and I maybe just put a little bit of spray on the comb. A little bit got to be blue spray on my comb, did a little edge brush or whatever, and I just got to brush the edges. Nothing fancy like. I said this is a middle part wig, so I mean I'm not going in and doing the the most with this, I'm just doing the very minimal bare minimum. Just to keep these pieces live in and walk down just sit, you don't want you not be. If you like me not really big on these baby hairs, this part doesn't really matter like I literally just brush them to your liking. If you don't want all this, you don't have to have this. I like a little bit of something you can pull this behind. Your ear, if you don't want that much hair whatever you want to do, because now it's pretty much down right, so you don't have to really worry about the baby hair too much if you don't want to because for one it's a middle part right. It'S the middle part first off, but if you do, you want to be able to kind of pull it back just play with the baby here, it's definitely to your liking, like don't feel like you have to do this, or do that, no, especially with a wig Like this, that's the middle part, you gon na, take this part down anyways and it's gon na be covered regardless, but you do have the baby hair there, so you can play with it. You can some people like to use gel like um got to be glued to jail. Some people like to use like I see a lot of people using mousse now to set the baby hairs. Whenever you want to do for the baby ears, you can do if you don't want to deal with them and you like me, girl, go ahead and pull them baby here. If you are anything like me - and I know y'all get stressed out about these dangling baby hairs like oh just thinking about it, stresses me out, which is why I don't try to do too much more so push them back in and then I just kind of Let them do their own thing, because once I will lay a scarf down on them, they just don't fall naturally into building anyways. I know a lot of people aren't really big and they want the swoops and all of that, I'm 31 years old. I got time for no baby hair. I mean it's gon na just gon na. Do it cuz my hair? Don'T get my real hair, you got no dad go baby here, so I ain't tryin to make my week had them out. Do the most so wanted to be natural and don't have to worry about it so, like I said, don't stress out too much about the baby hairs, because this is a middle part week anyway. So the second you take this down. You ain't even seeing it that much, but it's good enough, so the land blow a little bit okay, but nothing special. So I just wanted to show you guys that, but you do see that that did take a little bit more time than it would just put a closure. Wig on you're gon na have to take a little bit of time. Give your hair a little tender, love and care, but it shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes to do that, but if you're, okay with doing it like I said, buying a couple products, then frontal wigs should be okay for you. But I do want to just talk about a couple other things about frontal weeks, so the other thing about frontal weeks. Is you see how we're puttin this got to be glue spray on it after you like, I would literally like the gun, like the closure wig. I don't always take this wig on and off sometimes I'll sleep in this week now mind you, when I do sleep in this week. What I do is I just pull this frontal part kind of towards the back a little bit more, and I will sleep with a scarf in the front to lay down my edges and things like that, and then I literally will just kind of take my hair Back and bind it the rest of the hair up right so, but I only recommend sleeping in these wigs with the install that I did then I just showed you guys two days I was sleeping in for like two days and then I'm like. Okay, I need to take the wig off and, as I'm taking the wig off with the got to be glue, this comes off with water water. We'Ll take this off in a ripping your edges that ain't doing none of that water rub it in a little bit. Take it off now the thing with the frontals in us using a spring, or sometimes people like to use they got to be glue jail. Whatever works for you to keep these tabs down. That'S fine, but you got to understand that you are putting product on a lace and the more product you put on the lace. The more the lace is not gon na lay as seamlessly and look like scalp, because now you're starting to put product and it's starting to build up on the lace. So just be. Keep in mind that if you are doing the frontal wigs that you will need to wash the lace a lot of times, I even sometimes, if I don't want to fully fully wash it. I may just take some water and take this little brush and I literally just scrape the lace to just get all of that cook off it's better if you wash it, but if you're in a rush - and you just need to get it off - just put some Water on it and then just scrape it, but that's something that you will definitely need to do so, unlike your closure, wigs you're not putting any product on it, so you don't have to worry about that buildup on the lace. So that's just something! That'S another difference with it but either/or. I know frontals have been the thing they're a little bit more work, but they look great but keep in mind. I could have done this same week with a closure. I didn't need to do a frontal. So, if they're, at the time where I'm like, I don't want to have to deal with this dang old baby here, stressing me out, I don't want to have to deal with all that. You know it says, don't worry about it. Let'S just do a closure wig and we can take this bad boy on and up. We can sleep with it at night. I know y'all a little bit loving this color. We can do this color on a closure. Wig. Don'T stress yourself out thinking that you have to get a frontal week, because this is a frontal wig on me. Do what works best for you. I don't even wear frontal wigs that often because it does take too much work and when I'm going back and forth to work - and I got ta run to the store - I don't have time to do this. I don't I don't have time. So it's just easier for me to just do a closure wig, which is why that other closure wig is like a go-to wig for me, because I throw that on line now, you taking me no time it's taking me one minute to put that wig on and Be at the door so just keep in mind find out what's easier for you. If you are a little bit more hands-on with doing hair, this frontal wig might work for you. So that's just my thing about the closure weeks in the frontal wigs.
