Foreign hi guys welcome back today's video. I am going to share with you all a way that you can protect your edges when gluing down your wigs, because a lot of times we use lace, wig adhesives. A lot of people complain about them, ripping out your edges. Every so often, mostly in the spring time in the summer, i switch to wig adhesives if i'm wearing a wig, just because i'm going on vacation, i'm you know doing things that i sweat a lot. So i thought this would be a great video for this time of year to finally share with you guys what i do and how i prevent hairline loss when gluing and using wig adhesives. So that's what today's video is going to be make sure you thumbs up the video subscribe, don't forget to click that bell, so you won't miss any more videos from me and if you have not already go to my second channel and subscribe to that channel, where You can catch a lifestyle vlog for me weekly, make sure you go check out that channel and subscribe. Also, all right, let's jump right into this. The wig i'm working with today is a 13x6 swiss lace wig. It is in a body wave texture. So this is what the wig looked like straight out the box. However, in today's video i will be starting with the wig already pre-styled, meaning i've already bleached the knots cut the lace and styled it, so this wig will be linked below in the description box. Be sure to check it out and i also have a discount code down there for you whenever i'm using wig adhesive, i make sure to do the bald cap method and this helps to protect my natural edges. So the first thing you want to do is make sure that your hair is flat underneath and then apply that wig cap all the way down to your brows. For me, i like to go two inches or inch in front of my hairline when i'm gluing down my ball cap and i do not use anything other than hairspray or hair gel to do this now, the one mistake i see a lot of people making is When they do this, they be very obsessive with the amount of product they are using and me, i feel like the more product you put on to this ball cap, the more you likely you are to lose your hairline, so i like to just apply one layer Of that spray, i dry it and that's usually it. I don't go back in with another layer of gel or anything like that. I don't mind if my wig cap rolls a little bit which, if i apply it properly, it normally does not. So next we're going to remove this band from around the ball cap, and this is going to create the illusion of basically a balding effect you're going to look like your ball. When you do this um, it's going to also just look like scalp, underneath your wig. So that's the best thing about it. You won't have your hair, showing through your wig. I am going to go back with a little bit of spray just to touch up those edges that are lifting and make sure to dry it immediately so that it won't lift and roll this okay. So let's go ahead and get our wig together. My wig, like i said it's pre-styled already um, so i don't have to do anything to it. I'M going to go ahead and adjust the straps in the back and then i'm going to clip the hair out of the way you want to make sure all the hair is out of the way. So you won't have any of it stuck in your wig glue, which can cause problems later on now in order to get a flat install. You want to remove those built-in adjustable strap bands because they can't interfere with your wig application, so i'm just taking mine out when it comes to my wig application and applying lace, wig adhesive, the ball cap method is a must for me and, like i said, the Reason i put in front of my hairline is to prevent from losing my edges when using glue, so when i'm using glue, i'm applying that wig adhesive only to the ball cap and my forehead area. That way, the wig glue is not touching. None of my edges and i don't have to worry about cleaning up a mess out of my hairline, which will over time cause balding if you put that glue onto your natural edges, also pay attention to how much wig adhesive i'm using. As you can see, i'm not going crazy and slathering so much glue around my head, i'm using a very thin layer and if i feel like i want more of a hold, i will go back and add two to three coats of this wig adhesive. You don't want to be messy or sloppy with your wig application, because it can cause you your edges, so you want to make it controlled and make sure that you are applying it in a controlled manner, see how everything looks: we're going to go ahead and position That wig, so that it's lined up with the hairline and the ear tabs matching. You know a long time ago, when i first got into wigs people used to say the wig should be placed on your hairline or to match your natural hairline and a lot of people, including myself, was gluing the wig to your hairline, and i think that's the Biggest mistake that you can make when it comes to wig adhesives. A lot of people just feel like your wig, can't look natural if it's not placed in a natural hairline position and as you can see, my wigs are never placed at my natural hairline position and they still look natural. So you can make it work. If you have edges that come down further than mine, if you have a good forehead space, i think you can make it work um. But if you don't like, i said i wouldn't even recommend using wig adhesives just stick to the gels. Maybe the hairsprays because, like i said once that wig adhesive get into your hair, it is so hard to remove, because technically these wig glues are not made for hair it's made for the skin and a lot of people. Don'T tell you guys that so i'm here to tell you that it's not for your hair, so do not get that wig glue in your hair um. It is going to cause damage all right, so i'm just applying a little bit of foundation powder down the parting. This wig is absolutely gorgeous, i'm going to link it down below in the description box for you guys, if you want to check it out. If you want to purchase it, it will be a discount code also down there, and i will link every product that i use in my video down below also make sure to stay tuned, because i'm going to show you how i remove my wig when i use Wig adhesives, so if you don't want to miss that keep on watching, so i think this style turned out so beautiful so gorgeous. Now, usually, when i glue down my wigs, i'm wearing them for a long period of time, but for you guys today, i am going to instantly remove this wig and it sucks because the application is just gorgeous. But i want to show you how i you know prevent hairline loss when it comes to wearing a wig. You already seen the steps that i took to protect my hairline. So now i'm going to show you the steps i take to remove it. So i will be sure to put this wig down below in the description box, for you guys make sure to check the description box um below there will be a discount down there and all the products that i use um. I won't be talking about the wig adhesive until probably next week, okay, so it really sucks that i have to remove this wig because it's so gorgeous, oh my god, like the style turned out so beautiful um. So the first thing you want to do is make sure that you do not snatch off your wig when you are wearing any type of adhesive like this, via oil, free wig, shine spray, any type of spray oil like this. So the first thing i want to do is spray it on the hairline. Like so rub it in. I want to let it sit, because i just did my application. Most likely was going to happen is going to come up a lot faster, especially since i didn't tie it down um. So if you have tied down your hairline and you have warded your wig application for a couple of days, it's most likely really cured. So you want to let that soak, um and absorb into that lace, so i also like to mix a little bit of water around the hairline with that oil, because you know i added the gel too, so this will also help now this area you want to Pay attention to the most, if you have a lot of hair like me on the edges, i have a lot of hair on this side. The way i put my wig cap is on my forehead up here, but then my edges come down further on the side. So i have to really be gentle when rubbing off that adhesive. Otherwise i would just take that area out and that's why i put the ball cap lower on the hairline and voila there you have it

B M: You have no idea how important your videos are to me. I'm 33 and battling a very aggressive cancer. I lost my natural butt length hair and never worn wigs in my life before. Because of you I learned so much. I feel more confident now, I fell less ugly, I feel like I don't look as sickly when I have wigs on. I had no idea where to start, which lace was the most natural on me (still struggling with that lol I have vitiligo and around my face some of my skin is stark white so it is hard to find light colored lace that don't leave a cast on the white parts of my face, if you have any suggestions I'll be forever grateful). I owe you my new found confidence , I hope you know that this isn't just hair, and that you are changing lives for some of us! I pray you always stay happy, healthy prosperous, loved, surrounded by your loved ones and forever blessed by Almighty God. Much love to you my sister

Ellie Antar: Thanks again for all your very professional videos......I am new to the world of non-bio hair..totally lost. Would you be able to comment on wig caps that are the most lightest on the head and suppliers that sell wigs with the least hair volume? I am 61 and just need hair to cover my crown area, Do you need lace fronts and ear tabs if you still have some hair?
