What'S up peace, it is nappy food all up on your screen today is a nappy, foolery video. I want to fool around with the Bobcat method. Now what inspired the today's video was? I was on Instagram minding my business. Trying to look around. I saw something kind of a wicked week. Sorry, that's the wrong words. I saw video of this girl doing the Bobcat method and she didn't even know she was doing it and the way that she did it. I think it's really beginner friendly and requires a lot less steps. So let's try it out now before checking in Lego, alright, King. So let's give a big shout-out to curls curls for sponsoring today's video. They sent me this 20 inch long unit of ohm curls. Okay, her name is Laura and Laura said you cannot just talk hi any kind way. I beg you anyway, y'all. Let'S take it back to the beginning and see exactly how I got here ball cap mitt that came about because of this thick band. All up on your forehead, okay, when it comes to the lace front, wigs or lace, wigs, you want a smooth transition and that thick band right there does not let you be great in that type of way. So that's when the Bob can't met the Kim about wig lovers, wan na know what I believe, that's how it came about. That'S my assumption. Actually, I didn't do no research on how this even started, but I assume that is why, because you want a smooth transition from the beginning of your lace friend, into your scalp or into your hairline. So that's why I think it came about now. I'M gon na try this method. I saw an Instagram. Hopefully I do not mess it up does require for you to cut now. What I saw the girl do was basically cut the band off before she even attempts to impact. She didn't even try to attempt to use it as a ball cap myth. She was actually using a lace closure, witness which is a bit different, but seeing her do that made me think to myself. But what if I cut off the band before I use my lace friend or if I use my last week, so I did and after some time I started to knows that it's notice. It was rolling back started to fray up and I'm so sorry, okay, and what I didn't know is that that thick band actually a double-layer. So I just said: let me cut off the other layer and once I did that I come to notice. Okay, we have one layer of a stocking cap and by golly I think it looks pretty flat. I don't know it means a little antsy right now, though, but yeah it doesn't look kind of flat. I'M just saying let me find out I'm just saying y'all. So now I'm just thinking you know what let me grab my chill. Let me grab my spray and secure it the same time as my wig talking about hanging out with your girl. Let'S do this on a regular basis in the regular smegal I'm gon na go ahead and put on my gel first follow it along my hairline, and I am. I will go ahead and work some of that gel into the cap to the edge of that cap. To help your live flatter, so it's almost like, I am doing the ball cap method, but not as intricate, not as detailed as you see. You know, the wig professionals do. This is a lazy way. Honestly, you be real, it's just a lazy way of doing it and it works for me. Cuz your grant got time, I'm just sayin so now spraying them. I got to be glue spray. I'M gon na use the blow dryer to dry it down until it is tacky, and now we are ready to apply Laura all right. So I'm gon na smooth the front of my hair back well the front of Laura Beck. I got to smooth it out, get a little pieces of hair out the way I already have my band on there. I'M not gon na use the extra bands in the back right there, I'm gon na keep it at the last hole because I don't need it to be too tight, since I am securing it with my god to be GU spray and the gel all right. So now I'm just gon na work, my wig on to my dog, my dog, astrodome, okay, I'm gon na use the forever loyal and very useful rat tail comb to get it pierced or impressed into the hairline. One thing I do want to say is the I'll. Remember the time and the day where we didn't go through all this for a wig, I think there wasn't any of this got to be boho lay. It was out of that. You just do the wig on. I remember 27 pieces y'all. Do you know for quick weaves? Oh, do y'all, remember Invisalign when you cut the the pieces of your weft, really really small, to make a lime to form a line with the black glue. Well, I'm taking some of y'all back and I oh girl. Let me sell any stop anyway, so I'm just kind of pulling out some of the baby hairs. I'M going to create later on. I'M gon na tie this down and we are hoping that one says it's off of my head: that we don't see any part of the cap. Okay, so that's the goal and we're gon na just have our fingers crossed. Okay tie the scarf napping for what we got. Let'S see, okay, I don't see no band, I don't see the front of the the stocking cap, so I must be doing something right. You know what it's looking good so far. Let me go ahead and try do these baby hairs yeah. This is something I don't I don't. I don't think I do it. There were like all of this effort to make the front of my list feels like baby hair. This is the results. Good is that baby, hair or adults? My sister, please leave me - leave me that bag, let's get back to Laura. Let'S see we see the front of the stocking cap or noise. Oh yeah, let's see how this cap did. I don't see a band. Do you see a band? That'S part somewhere else. You looks blowing, let's try somewhere else you can see tracks hold on. This is a lace front, so we can't go back too far to the side. Man, alright, another area, I don't see a band, it looks flowing. I will forever do it like this now. What thank you Instagram when I win that chicken good nice, so let me throw some foundation on this little because it was a little light. A little light, color ain't, nothing about me, like skiing, I'm just seeing like a little light. Now I do notice that the actual lace is a bit, maybe I'm being too nit picky. Maybe I put too much of the tanning spray on there. It'S like a little rusty to me, but nonetheless I don't see the front of stocking cap, and that was the goal alright yo, so I am done and honestly the baby. Here'S got me so tired that I might open on that method. Yo about the bald cap cut the front and then glue it or and then secure it all down along the way. I think I'm, like that's a lot easier than me, taking the cap, pulling all the way that let me talk to y'all my glasses off. Okay, cuz that's over, so I'm really happy that I was just browsing on Instagram might in my business and I happen to come across that video y'all know in the Instagram Timeline, the one: that's not your timeline, but they suggested it to you or they might be Popular or whatever it is situation, that's where I found today and I can't find any me. I know she is, but thank you girl, so this worked out really really well, I'm gon na be doing my munis. All like that and what's good, is that the stocking cap can come off and I can apply it again, because a little bit of the elastic is still on there to hold it in place. This unit is very, very beautiful. I love the volume in it. I don't have to cut it. It'S already. Looking like I need it to look. 20 is about 20 inches of a hair. I normally don't go this long, but hey you have to have that one unit, that's long and big in your face, and this just might be that one. Okay with that being said, we have come to today's nap chat question how much time it's officially done. It is that season when you get a little call, you want to snuggle up with the hubby. You don't say I'm talking about. I think I know hubby, but it's okay. I snuggle up with myself. Yes I'll, say it in the natural hair world. We know it is even more than regular protective style season. I want to know from your team Kings members, whether you're, high porosity or low, porosity or medium porosity. Do we all benefit from protective styling trust me? Your response would definitely help another member out. I hope you enjoyed today's video if you did, please go ahead and help your girl out by hitting that subscribe button and make sure you hit the bell right next to it. So you can be notified the next time that I am all up on your screen. Also, if you're bored during the week come on to hang out with me on Instagram snapchat Facebook, all of that all of that - and I will catch up on the next one. So the next Sunday remember sorrow mountain in order to have healthy, hair, mind body, soul. Everything you got to do healthy things consistently happy food checking out. This is alright. I try so hard to do that. Baby hair, like they don't make us follow me. It'S not on me. You know this is pretty, though come on volume. I need to go somewhere. I have to go somewhere. I ain't got nowhere to go, I'm about to go to Tosca, okay, the past our real for my household items. Okay, you got to see all this Erica. Oh excuse me, can you carry my bags? Please excuse me, hey excuse me. Do you not see me carrying these bags? Oh yeah grandpa, I'm. Second, I'm going to my room in America see. I said I am your room. Three three, eight Marriott tea. Sorry,

Ney Rose: Yes I remember the invisible part I tell you black woman are so innovated if there’s a will there’s a way!

teri t: It's funny that a lot of naturals talk about protective styles for the winter, but for me that's the one time I can wear the best twist outs and straighten my hair with heat because of the lack of humidity. In the summer I'm rocking braids and twists all the time because there is too much humidity and I sweat a lot. But idk if we all benefit from protective styles because I see some naturals wear ponytails all the time and their hair looks fine. They are usually mixed with type 3 hair tho so ionnow lol

skyrab87: This came in time. I'm about to get a wig for fall and winter

Pearll Jewels: The last time I wore a wig...I got so hot til I pulled it off and fanned myself with it. Haven't woren one since. But I'm ok without.

C. Sexton: Wow, that looks awesome!!! I feel inspired because it looks so simple now. I love that unit!

Renee Edwards: Ive been using wigs as protective styling since last year and the growth & length retention has been amazing. It's all a matter of knowing your hair & caring for it underneath. I have low porosity 4c hair, and my wigs keep me from manipulating my hair too much

Tiffany Pollard: “Is that baby hair or adult” lmfaooo I’m dying

Karen: Question. When you put the gel on your hair, apply the wig (sorry if I'm saying this wrong, I dont wear wigs) and you take off the wig, doesn't it rip out your edges?

It's KIA: When it comes to protective styling the catch 22 depends on you! It can keep your hair moisturized as long as you've done so ahead of time/do it periodically and it's low manipulation to your natural kinks. However, getting tight styles or being lazy with your hair underneath can be harmful. Criss Cross ❌

W: Yes, I do believe women benefit from protective styling. Just find the protective styles that work for you and your lifestyle. Length retention, minimizing excessive breakage, and manipulation are the goal.

Maiya Jones: I'm high porosity and yes protective styling is very beneficial.

I Mac: Yes, protective styling helps control over manipulation and environmental extremes.

Ms. Jones: I recently got a lace front wig and it’s officially my “idgaf wig ‍♀️” & I’m going to practice this (being that I’m new to this lace front world!) Thanks!!!

Tammy Kelly: I first just want to say thank you Nappyfu for your videos. Yes protective styles has been a plus for my kink hair. Protective styles has caused my hair to keep the moisture in and it's stronger and softer. Much better than when I kept the perms in it.✌

Bridgette Nicole: Awesome method, I need to try this!

MsHoneyFly11: Nappy Foo I’m puttin’ on a fresh wig today and I’m gonna try this method. I never tried the bald cap method cuz I’m lazy as heck! Still gotta do wash day. Yes protective styling works for my 4b high po hair. It’s the only time I see some good length retention. My hair doesn’t like to be bothered during the week. She funny-acting

Mylynn J: Protective styling, whatever that means to you, is definitely beneficial. When I was relaxed, I protective styled (my hair was boring but it flourished) by getting body wraps and never using a flat iron. I left my hair alone. I now put my hair in twist or braids for couple of days. I wear it loose for a couple of days, bun it, then I start over with my wash day. My hair is healthy and long. Still flourishing!

Mys Tea: I’m low porosity with 4c hair. I’ve experienced amazing growth this past year by committing to protective styles. During spring, summer and fall I do crochet braids and in the winter I wear wigs over mini twists. I moisturize my girl with water and leave in a few times a week and wash every 3-4 weeks. Low manipulation and retaining moisture has really gotten me results!!

ImmyN: This looks so good. When you do it trust that maybe it's actually do-able because every time I try to follow these other tutorials issa disaster lol! But I have to ask, would you do this every day or just for extra cute occasions? And would you sleep in it?

Brie: I’m low porosity, fine strands, with medium density and protective styling def helps me. The type of protective style will determine how much, if any, length you retain. Also, we have to make sure we are taking care of our natural hair. Can’t just be slapping on wigs nshit and neglecting your real hair lol

Lynda K: You are in the wrong business. Check into acting, you're funny as heck. I'm not into lace, fake hairs at all but check in on the regular just to see you girl. You have a most positive attitude. Love ya hon.

Natmari: Girl your skin is looking good! What u doing? Can we get a skin care routine? I'm on a year protective style journey for length and fullness retention. If done correctly we benefit. I keep my hair clean, hydrated & moisturized.

Jersey Girl in Orlando: I'm low porosity and keep my hair in protective styles all the time. The thing is...even though my hair stays moistutized, I am not seeing hair growth or the "benefits" of protective styling like everyone says

Shantalle Lolagne: I'm high porosity and Yes I do believe that protective styling helps with the growth of the hair and a good healthy regimen as well

Shanta' World: I can do this , seems easy. How long will you leave this wig on?. When it’s time to remove do you just wet the front, I’m new to non removal of wigs every night. Thank honey bun. Btw I love your channel!!!

Monique W: Girl I do the same thing, WITH the band (s) still on the stocking cap. It still looks great and unnoticeable!

jhgreen14: Mostly high porosity. I just wear my hair in goddess braids most of the time as my protective style. I find my hair does not dry out as much when it is in braids.

W: That's too much work for me when it comes to a wig. It's an option, though. Will you do a review on the wigs out now that are all in one where you don't have to go through all that stuff? Chazzisawesome has done a video on these wigs for lazy naturals. Unfortunately, they are $200 and over, but maybe you can get sponsored for the review. Love your videos!!

Angel Monique: The last time I used the bald cap method the little bit of baby hairs I had is now COMPLETELY gone .

SistahBear1: I have medium porosity hair, and protective styling does wonders for me. But by the two week mark I am ready to do my hair again. I feel antsy beyond 2 weeks.

Missy Grando: We all benefit from protective styling. I have fine, kinky hair and it thrives on me leaving it da hell alone. Just co washing and moisture and boom--length retention and full edges.

trini_cbr: I have very sensitive scalp so I can't wear braids or wigs...they irritate my scalp. That form of protective styling is a no no for me.

Trice G: I think we can all benefit from protective styles. I personally don't because I have commitment issues but I still retain length regardless

Lovely LaLa: I am high porosity and I used to protective style a lot when I was transitioning. I need to start doing them again because baby, my hair needs a break!

Flower6464: How did you know I wanted to start wearing wigs! Thank yooooou Nappy Fu!

mmm70: Yes, I transitioned for 2 years with protective styling. I believe my hair is normal porosity.

Flipthescript2.0: Okay so im going to purchase a wig & use all your tips. You are slaying me

Kelly A: No, protective styles never really did it for me. I'm 4b/4c twist out every day or updo b4 I got sisterlocks. I only wore Senegalese/spring twists for vaca and I didn't see anymore or less growth.

Mo Mo unknown: Thank u soooooo much for uploading this video and the I tried to slay a natural hair wig like a pro.... I just cut all my hair off and wanted to try a wig. Your videos gave me confidence to try it. Wish me luck!!!!♥️♥️

Utopia K.: Looks flawless dahling

skyrab87: Also your skin is looking better

Jessica Dixon: "Imma snuggle with myself" Girl I felt that lol

alison hilaire: LMFAO the shenanigans at the end of the video though!!! Afro hair, especially 4C hair is very fragile so I think low manipulation is always good. However, low manipulation does not mean protective styles.

Beverly Powers: I know I do because as I’ve gotten older my hair is thinning. A wig helps me not to have to manipulate my hair often and keeps my head warm. I’m just saying.

DeeJ085: I was like "Invisalign? The braces? " I remember rolling a track up with hair glue, then using a flat iron to make the closure for my wig, those were the days!

Keren P: Thank you so much this was very helpful i just got my first wig and I may try this method. I am new to the wig game, pray for me

Shai Smith: Yassss come on through hair ! Skin is glowing !

Ava Archie: Girl! Cos Co is going someplace! I'm at the season in my life where ERRANDS count as "going out"! -I was 'BORN TO BE WILD' until 9pm! lol! I love you Nappy Fu!

Healy Means: NappyFu, I make sure you all up on my screen! I don't wear protective styles, but if I ever do, I will be checking out your videos.

C for Chi : It's lovely ♥️

Eris Demani: Great tutorial! You look great.

loving the natural me: This unit looks great on you!

Krys_teal: The editing on this video sis!!! Subcribe!!!

Nicole Peters: how long do you keep your wigs on?

Blueberry Fundip FFXIV: That unit is beautiful!

enaruvie: This works. Love your finger nails.

LaShonna Marie: Hey sis. My question has absolutely nothing to do with wigs. I was hoping you would see my comment and respond. I want to do various styles but hair gels make my scalp itch and gorilla snot took my edges out. I still don't know for sure what my hair type is. I know I have low porosity hair for sure. I think I am a 4b 4c. It's hard to define your hair by curl pattern alone. Our hair is as unique as we are as individuals. I hope you can help with the hair gel question. I really want to wear a sleek ponytail but can't take the itch! Love you lil sis ❤

To Be Continued: Girl! I thought it was just me. I didn't grow up doing baby hair and I just can't get it... LOL

Sugar Street Sweets: Had to subscribe! Not only was this helpful. But you are so funny!

San Ten: I'm too scared to apply gel and spray etc to my edges

teri t: Yours are the only accurate notifications I get lol

realyf0713: First to like! Wish I could like it twice. Thanks for another great video.

Ava Archie: I JUST LOVVVVVVVE YOU! very -very -very GOOOOD 'Hack' -Love it! Thank you

Michelle Ajema: Nappyfu reacting to her 'baby hairs' took me out!

jo H: What kind of gel did she use ?

Trice G: Oooh you had that wig laid I'm gonna have to try that because the wig band gets on my last nerves

KAREN NICHOLAS: “Is that baby hairs or adults?” LOL! You crack me up.

Andrea & Zakiyyah Dark and Lovely: I say to each is own. Some naturals swear by wash n gos and it may make their hair grow. Meanwhile, if all I did was wash n gos it would be a catastrophe!

Nekeisha Wise: U so dang funny been crackin up the whole time

tisham913: i just can't with you. Loved the video

Ms Ms: Nappy Fu haven't watched you for a while, you're rocking baby hairs now? Wig looks good, only one thing why are you putting all that clue on your edges it will rip them out. Pull the wig cap just below your edges so the glue does not touch it.

HulaMami10: Weighted blanket is good for a self snuggle

Diane Williams: Omg! I’ve missed your personality!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

AC McGowan: That wig looks nice.

Lynn G: love u girl.. I clicked so fast

kelly stewart: I have to try this today.. 2/13/2020

Tammy Kelly: Yeesss girl you taken a sista waaay back. However you did a great job. Now can you come down mine. You did a nice job. I'll try it!!!✌

Emilee Bates: I use got2glued spray to glue the cap to the lace itself so I can put my wig on and GO! check out msprrciousmaries video on how to do this!!!!! Fool proof!

Keisha Clark: I like this.

Magarethe Charles: Lol lol girl stay away from the baby hair!! Lol Good job though

indria drayton: I WILL SNUGGLE UP WITH MYSEEEELF!!!!!

ReginaB4JC: Good question ‍♀️

Michel Spencer: I like this hair on you

Wendy Shoniregun: I don't like baby hair either. Lol

Mama Thani-Je: Am just here to watch the nappyfooooo fooollleryyy...lehhh gooo!

jadakiss228:

Marie Lee: Don't know my porosity level.

HulaMami10: I think YouTube blocked my comment about a weighted blanket...

Nkechi Dickson: You are THE WORST!!! ❤❤❤❤
