Simple Drag Wig Styling Tutorial | Nicole Onoscopi

Hey: hey, hey, it's nicki, oh and i'm bringing you another wig styling tutorial. Yes, i know it's been a while, but the gigs are back in full swing. I'Ve been real busy, but we are back back back again, so grab a wig. Get your favorite teasing comb. Some hair spray and let's get styling hi, i'm nicola noscope and you're watching my youtube channel. Today we are working with this beautiful cute, bubblegum, pink 12 inch, wig she's, fun, she's sassy. She'S short, i love a short wig. Now this wig is going to be for saints syndrome. She is a very talented performer up in portland. She plays piano. She live sings, i'm very excited to style this up for her. She requested something kind of vintage fun and pink. That'S what we're gon na do today now before we dive in, if you are new to wig styling and you are looking to dip your toes into the water, i recommend working with something short and curly like this. This is a 12 inch unit from celebrity wigs. Look at the curls in here now i hate roller sets it's not my strong suit. So i love when it comes with a really nice curl pattern already in there, and because this wig is only 12 inches long, you don't have to fight with a bunch of hair when you're kind of learning how to tease and sculpt. So it's really user friendly strongly recommend, starting with something like this now today, we're using our got to be glued. Freeze spray love this stuff, my favorite teasing brush there we'll use this little pick there for picking out the tees and sculpting it later and a bunch of our sectioning clips to keep the hair out of the way. As we tease away, i've done a styling video before i'll link it up above down below somewhere. I'M going to link that styling video that was going to be a little more in-depth. I really focus on the teasing technique in that one, so give it a watch, but today we're going to have fun, we're going to style together, we're gon na catch up and have a little kiki. Okay, so grab a wig and let's get going come on. First, i'm gon na take this tail. You know the drill get the hair, we're not working with up and out of the way. Okay saints. Like me, she likes her hair up and off of her shoulders because nothing is more annoying than your wig getting caught on your costume. It'S so frustrating it's just infuriating there we go look at those beautiful curls like does it get any more beautiful than that? I don't think so all right now, i'm gon na start teasing, starting in the back section. By section you know what to do. You'Ve seen the other video. This is gon na, be so much easier short hair is the ticket now you'll be like nicole? I thought you didn't do commissions. I thought you didn't style hair for other people yeah. This is a recent development folks very exciting, very exciting. Now, i'm doing it slowly because i am very busy. I got a full show schedule, i'm very grateful for that. But yes, i will be styling wigs for my family and friends. Now now look at these curls look at those could be bigger, though so we're going to go in we're going to grab sections and we're going to tease them together. Now this, i believe, is called french lacing louie marie the baguettes hurry up. You know, you know the thing: france right we're gon na bring down some more hair and do a little more teasing. Let'S do it a tease by the ear tab, really get it nice and solid. That'S where the prettiest part starts. So we're going to do this real nice get the tees real, dense, but also kind of smooth out the front as we go to save a little time later. Quick life update. I am the newly crowned miss gayorgan48, i'm very excited and i'm very excited for the year ahead. Hopefully we'll raise a lot of funds for the isrc and some wonderful causes. I'M just really excited for this year last year was so difficult, and i think now is the time for a little queer renaissance. Let'S turn the party, let's have a great time, let's take care of each other and really strengthen our community. Oh first hairball we got our first hairball. Look at that. Ah yeah, i'm excited, we've got so much volume already and over half the hair to go. This is very fun very exciting, we're still just teasing away here. We go take down more hair step by step track by track. Here we go. I wanted to thank everyone for all of the love that my last wig styling video got. I appreciate it very much. Let me know what you want to see in the comments down below and i'll try to do that. For you, anytime, i notice a section that isn't as teased as the others, not quite as sturdy. All you want to do is just go back in there, tease it up real quick, then you'll kind of marry, the sections together the longer the hairspray's been drying. The kind of more texture it'll add to the hair, and you can grip it a little better, especially with these big curly styles. You can just kind of marry it together and make the wig, so it just lasts a whole lot longer. I'Ve already kind of decided where we're going to part the hair there's a little break, naturally in the wig right there, so we're going to kind of grab out our bang section. Now you can really tell when a queen takes care of her hair. You really can and clean your lace. You nasties, please just clean it like look at that big. Now as we go, i'm gon na start slowly, sculpting it into the shape. We want we're almost done with this section, but now i'm going to really pack a lot of teas right in this section here, because that will be bearing the weight of this bang section. So we want it to be real sturdy. Real tall get the maximum volume out of it. So here we go get that section up spray it for filth, see all that nice dense goodness in there. I like it a lot. I like it, a lot all right. We'Re gon na hit a few more spots and then we're going to move on to sculpting the bang and smoothing the style yeah. I went ahead and took the head down a little bit, so i can really get in there at the top now nobody's gon na. Be seeing this part because once we get our high heels on, there are very few people out there that are going to be seeing the top of the queen's head. I want to make sure those ends stay loose, so we can sculpt them later see, i'm switching it up on you, i'm brushing away teasing away. Sometimes you got to just change tactics every now and then keep the wig guessing look at this brick of hair. I told you it's a 12 inch wig, but you can really pack so much volume in there, especially with this curl pattern. It really fills it out nicely. It'S so big. We are going to smooth it out now, let's get to sculpting, i'm going with this pick here and slowly kind of just direct the hair in the direction. I want it to go now. If i end up picking out too much teasing or anything, i can always go back in and add a little we're just gon na kind of tell the hair where we want it to fall. I can already tell i need to add a little more in the bang. That'S okay, so easy to do. We'Re just kind of getting a general idea of the shape we want this to take makes me want cotton, candy, real bad! This side is starting to take a nice shape, see that little swerve there, oh so cute. Now we're gon na focus on the bang, add a little more structure in there and we're almost done. We are going to spray a little ear. Tab section break it through with this brush here and get a clip just to kind of hold that in place, keep it away from the ears. Oh, that's some volume. Okay! Now, what we're running into here this bang here the curl pattern, is so set in there that it just does not want to cooperate. So we are just slowly reshaping it packing in more teasing until we can get it to cooperate with us every now and then you'll have a moment where you're like wow. Do i even know how to style a wig but keep working through it you'll be okay. It will work out, you can always add more teasing. You can always brush it out, you'll get there in the end. Okay, so i went ahead and got everything smoothed out. I got a cute little flip going in the bang up front there. I'M really happy with how it's going, but now i'm gon na try another little trick. I threw a hair knit on it and now i'm gon na work on getting these curls in the back more uniform. I love this trick. You throw a hairnet on you. Take a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water, it just kind of reactivates the hairspray we're just going to wet the back there and just kind of pick out these curls here and get them real, uniform and get that nice perfect round shape. You want. The net will kind of hold the hair in place and alcohol just reactivates the hairspray, so you can kind of mold it into the shape you want now. You definitely want to let it fully dry before you move around in the wig, because otherwise it's going to fall to pieces. Okay, so i'm going to give that a second to dry. Before i take the net off any hairs that come with, it will just kind of tuck them back spray them into place, but we have a finished style, i'm really happy with it. It'S a little beauty. School dropout, a little marilyn monroe, but just fun. Sassy kind of cute, i'm gon na, take it off the block, get the hair net off, throw on a fresh wig cap and give her a spin all right - and here we are - i'm really happy with how this turned out.
