Hey guys, it's me kind welcome back to my channel, so this video is gon na, be a wig tutorial on this. What I'm, just gon na call big curly bang moment very inspired by Donna Summer who's. One of my icons. I know I haven't done this hairstyle before because it is so mean, although I've tried cutting bangs in my way before, and it just turned out disastrously, but I feel like now. I have perfected the formula and I'm really happy with the way that it looks I'll. Tell you what it is: it's all in the cut and it's all in the roller set, so I'm gon na show you guys how to do that. But it's not as easy as it looks because it looks like it's just like ooh effortless just woke up like this, but there's actually quite a bit to it. Bangs are my newest favorite thing that I've been wearing in 2020. This was back when I used to leave the house, but I would just love to throw on a bang wig not have to worry about gluing down the lace, making sure that the hairline looked correct. It'S just way too much work sometimes, and sometimes you just can't be bothered and you just want to throw on a wig - that's really easy, so this is the style for you. I did do this on a lace front wig, which okay sounds a little bit contouring to ative, because you don't need to see the lace, but nowadays lace fronts are so ubiquitous. You can find them everywhere and you can find them for not that much more expensive than a hard front wig and they come in lots more colors and styles, but of course, use whatever kind of wig that you're comfortable with even like a practice, run wig. If you want, I just want to release myself from all liability. Okay anyway, that's all I have to say, let's get into the tutorial hi guys alright, so I've got the wig that we're working on right here now you could, if you wanted to use a wig. That'S a little bit older, especially if the lace is kind of torn up. I mean I have got a couple of wigs that I've like ruined delays on because I've tried to dye them. So those would be like the prime candidates for this type of style, because you're covering up the lace. So you might as well even use a hard front for that matter, but I don't really like wearing this hairstyle with like pastel colors and those are the only types of waves. I have like that. If I actually made this and blonde - and I just feel like I look like little bo-peep or like Isaac Newton, I prefer to wear this hairstyle with darker hair. So that's why I'm using this wig. So the first thing that I'm gon na do is to cut the bangs, but before you do that, you have to make sure that when you put it on your wig block, it's properly centered, so I'm actually gon na. Take it off the center. I'Ll note is right there, so I can put a little pin in it like that, and then I'm gon na want to line it up with this middle line right and then just make sure that it's really symmetrical while it's there, I'm gon na take two larger Pins and stick it and then I've got a block down the lace. With some wet twill tape. You should be putting lots of care into blocking the wig every single time you put it on a mannequin head, but especially since we're gon na give it a haircut. You really want to make sure it's not asymmetrical. I'M sure you've seen those videos of girls cutting their bangs way too short, and that's not so much of a problem when you're wearing a wig, because you can just slide it down if it's too short, but you still don't want to cut off too much hair Because you can't go back from that, you see this middle line well right beside it are these two lines that go up so that's where I part off the hair. So I take a section in between those two lines and I'm only gon na go back like maybe one inch all right. So once again, that's just in between these two lines and about one inch back and that's the hair that I'm gon na cut for the bangs. So now comes a question of how much do I cut and, as I said, you can always cut more off later. So I'm only gon na cut like literally this long, because if you think about it, when we curl the hair, it's gon na look shorter so like. If this is the hair straight, then curly it's gon na be like this short and then I can always pull the wig back if the bangs are too long or cut some more hair, if the bangs are too long and I've seen people like do this, where They twist it and then just cut straight across and the reason why you twist the hair is because now the hair in the middle is shorter than the hair on the sides. So those hairs on the sides will help to sort of frame the face, because the bangs are kind of gon na go in a subtle upside-down. U shape so clipping those bangs away and I'm gon na give the rest of a wig a slight haircut, because cutting lots of layers and adding texture will make the finished style, look a lot more fun and curly. I got a new brush by the way. This is from a brand called stylize and it's just like a boar, bristle brush and it's like just great for smoothing out hair and makes a lot less of a tearing noise than my old brush. But I know so much of your tools and switch of your brushes and see what you like and what you don't like so going in with this section, and if you cut it this slope that ensures that the hairs on the top are shorter than the hairs. On the bottom, so I'll just do a very subtle. That'S like that! Alright! So now that I've, given it the haircut that it needs, I can finally start to curl it and we're gon na start that curling the bangs. So when I light brush this straight down, you'll see that it kind of splits here, because the way that this wig was made, there was a artificial part set into it and the way that you can break that is number one by just using steam and forcing It all down, but what I'm just gon na do, is take my first section of roller and break the part, so to speak by just going a little bit beside it and putting all of this hair into one section. So I'm going to use these wire mesh rollers, there's 7/8 of an inch in diameter and I'm just gon na curl, this bang section and you'll notice that I'm curling these to the side so that when the roller is resting on the scalp, it's like on a Bit of an angle like diagonally, and the reason I do that is because I find that's what gives the bang is this like spiral? Curl, that's really pretty, instead of just curling straight inwards towards your forehead. It'S gon na curl in a spiral and if you're gon na choose a side, make sure that all the bangs are curled to that same side. Now we're gon na curl the rest of the hair. So what I'm gon na do is split this down the middle, because this wig is not gon na be parted to the left or right. I just want no part at all, so I'm gon na split it down the middle. So again we're following that line. That'S on the mannequin head and every single roller, that's gon na be on the top, is gon na lean one way or the other. So now, for the other side, I'm just gon na copy this, but in the other way, so this section on the part is it going to roll towards me? So, as you can see, the direction of this bang piece is going in that way, but the direction of these rollers will go this way. So that's just gon na have to be a part that I'm just gon na have to deal with and negotiate later on, and I think that, because of all the teasing and the messy curls, you won't even be able to see this. So I'm just gon na continue rolling this way. So now I've done four rollers on each side. Behind the three, the three rollers that I put the bangs in right here, where I put the part in the hair, I'm gon na put a roller right behind it. Like this curling back all right so now from this point on I'm just gon na lay the rollers and like a brick formation and follow these sort of like u-shaped lines set by those first rollers. So here is the roller Sutton. As you can see, it's just been set in these lines, really just what matters is the front of the wig, but doing it this way with the parting and things kind of going in different directions makes it so that, when you take this out of the rollers And go to brush it out. It makes it a lot more easy because the hair just wants to fall really nicely on all the sides of your head evenly. So now I am gon na steam this, so I'm gon na put it under a plastic eye and I just hit it with steam for like a solid four minutes. This is my gross wig. Towel you're, really observant, viewer you'll. Remember the video where I stained this, but I'm having to put this down all the time now, every time I'm steaming wigs, because the floor can get a little bit damp. My good old Leos textiles bag we're just gon na, let it sit and steam for like four minutes all right. So that's something that I've observed lately is that I haven't been letting this sit in the steam and dry for long enough, like sometimes I'm really lazy, and I don't want to wait so I just stick a blow-dryer underneath the bag and let the blow-dryer blow at It for like 10 minutes, but I really have been noticing that it makes a really good difference when you let it sit overnight. If you really want your curls to be very curly and very tight, then you really want to let it sit overnight. So right now, it's still sitting under lots of steam, so I'm gon na let it sit for like 15, more minutes of sitting underneath the bag. While the condensation and the steam is still sort of sitting there and then after the 15 minutes, I'm gon na, let it sit overnight and dry and I'll be back in the morning. Okay, so I'm back and the wig has been drying all night now. So I can take down the rollers and I'll start with these bang pieces and see how these have turned out so very curly, and you can separate the curls with your fingers and it's looking great so far in the back. Now. Look at how nicely the top of the head is sitting because we've rolled in all those different directions. It is just sitting really nicely at the top there, and now we're gon na do a little bit of teasing to it to add more volume up at the top since right now, it's looking like a little bit of a triangle. We want to bring some of the volume like up here. I don't think you guys have seen this brush before either. This is another new one. This is from Revlon, it's just a boar bristle brush pretty zinc, so just back combing at these roots brushing away like that, and then I'm also going to use the banks. But in this case, since the bangs are falling this way I want to tease underneath them. So I'm actually gon na lift them up and tease like this, and that's gon na give the bangs a little bit of lift. So just go like that. Let'S smooth things out with a brush and see how things are looking and the roller set that we did kind of is determining where all the hair falls, which is just straight away from the middle. So just brush like straight down and you'll notice. The surface will just start to slowly, but surely just appear smoother. A great way to smooth it out is once you feel that the top is smooth. I will put my hands there to anchor it and then just smooth out the ends. The bangs are kind of just blending into the rest of the hair. I think I'll tease them a little bit more since they're still feeling a little bit weak to me, really go in just smooth out the surface, maybe brush some of it into the sides like that, I'm really liking the way. This looks just for fun. Let'S go into the bangs and give it a little bit of a trim. You might remember, I kind of just cut it straight across like that, but let's just give it a little bit of texture by cutting up into it like that. The some of the hairs are shorter. Some are longer did that, make a difference, don't know, but just play around with it and sort of pick at it with your fingers. The teasing really helps to make it a little bit more wispy. I really like this look sort of wanted a little bit more texture at the side, so I'm actually gon na go in and cut some more hair. This just did that to give it a few more shorter pieces right about here, so that the sort of dimensions of a hair just more circular, instead of everything being really long and straight, although you know you have to be careful that whenever you give your wig A haircut while it's curly like this there's a chance that you'll go and straighten it and be like. Oh, my god did I hack through this, with a lawnmower and with real people's hair. That goes out of their heads. That'S probably not something you want to do, but with wigs you can have a lot more fun with it. Okay, I think this is a finished style, guys, I'm in love with it. Okay, I'm just gon na go again to drag and try this on and I'll be right back. So this is the finished look and I love the way it turned out the best part about wearing bang wigs. Is you don't have to worry about your lace? You don't have to glue it down. You can just use bobby pins. You can even leave the lace quite long on this if you want, because you're not even gon na, be able to see it, although if I lift this up, it looks like a crime scene. Investigation I mean if I was performing and there was a chance that it was gon na be wind blowing in my face or Tara flipping around then I would, you know, lower this down to an appropriate spot for my hair line, but then that covers my eyes Too much - and in this case I want you to give the bangs a little bit of a trim, but since we're doing this quarantine drug for a while, I can just place this as far up on my head as I like, and you guys just never are The wiser, so I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. I hope you guys try it out for yourself.
