How To Apply A Lace Front Wig

This is a short video tutorial on how to apply a Lace Front Wig with Ultra Hold Glue and tap strips. This video also shows you how to glue down you stocking cap or wig liner.

So I'm just kidding my forehead all the makeup and oils, so I can get a good application on just using some 91 % rubbing alcohol we're going to let it dry for a few minutes, and then I'm going to use my skin protector that I also use It gives a better whole when you're, applying your glue, adhesives or just your regular tape. You know and it's a good barrier between your skin and the actual adhesive. So I'll put that on and I'll you know let it dry for like two to three minutes and then what I'll do next is what I'm going to do. Is I'm going to put my stocking cap on I'm going to apply some mastic P spiracle them over? My stocking cap just so that way, my stocking cap does not slip back, and this gives a really good whole. I had my full lace, we're going for exactly two weeks until I decided to take it off with this method. You know your wig cap does not slip back, you're, not losing it, and it's just you know it protects the glue from getting on your hair in general, and it also makes the full lace or the lace front come off a lot easier. So you want to let that dry for, like five minutes, you could either blow-dryer or you can let it air dry. I let it air dry and then I just cut away the extra stocking cap just around the front perimeter of my hair and then I'll just tuck it behind my ear like so and just make sure you get all the strands and strings of the stocking cap. Like you see me doing here, I'm just going to cut away. Just you know best thing to use is a short scissor. Now what I'm going to use is my favorite ultra hold on glue adhesive? I will apply that to the front perimeter on the stocking cap. As well as on the edges of my skin - and I will let that dry for like four to six minutes just so, I can get a good tacky feeling once letting that dry. I will apply three strips of super tape: two curved thin strips to the edges and one straight thin strip to the front of my hair. Just so, you know better hold make sure you have some good tweezers, because your fingers can't get stuck to the tape. Pull your wig down very slowly and take your time I suggest, using a good rat tail comb for a full lace. Wig application, be it short, this a lace front or be it a full lace. I feel, like you know, instead of using your fingers, use a good comb at tail. Comb is always the best and just smooth inside, though I'm the wig cap inside the weight. Excuse me once doing that. You know I will take a little bit of alcohol on a q-tip and clean up. The area like I'm doing, and that is from the skin protector. Are that you see. Sometimes the skin protector will make your skin look tight because it does get really um disc. It stronghold, so you want to take a little bit of rubber alcohol on a q-tip and just you know, clean up the edges. Now. What I'm going to do is just brush it and don't be scared.

sivonl: Y'all I figured it out! I feel so accomplished LOL. The product she uses on top of the stocking cap is "Mastix P Spirit Gum". It's kind of expensive but I'm sure it's worth it. There are cheaper versions but actors use it for costumes.
