how do you feel about lace frontals ? Are you ready to let them go?

Stop it stop doing the most stop with the green hair, stop with all of this crazy mess. That'S not that's! Making people not take us seriously, hey everyone! It'S us and I'm back with another video, so this one is kind of kind of kind of going to be like a rant. I hate Lakes, rentals, I'm not a fan. I haven't been a fan in years and I'll tell you guys why? Well, first, let's bring some positive stuff into this. I think black women are beautiful and I think women are beautiful, like all the women on here phenomenal, especially the ones who are creative and do do these lace frontals. They get so creative with it. But I must say that I have not seen one that looks real. I unless it's Beyonce, but I didn't even think Beyonce wears leox parentals I just make she does something secretive with her hair. But I am NOT a fan and I'll. Tell you why? I'M not a fan one, I'm such a natural Lisa type girl. You know I, like subtle, looks a natural look and lace frontals to me just take that away and since hair is such a huge factor when it comes to beauty. You know I love to see like a natural face with like either natural hair and when I say natural hair, I just mean, like your hair or like a natural look, whether you have client clip-ins, I'm a huge fan of clippings clippings or you know a nice Soin or like a little 4x4 closure, or something like that, I feel like that looks the best on women by the lace frontal that I can't I can't get on board and I guess I have tried it. I'Ve tried it twice. The first time I tried it. I think I looked great. I looked good up until like day three, when the wake signs to lift up - and I was just like one - I just paid - maybe like five hundred dollars to get this done, and it lasted about three days no joke I had was fly until day three and That sense of panic, and on top of it I got it sold down and taking that wig off ripped out my jizz, like no other, and after that I was like. I want to try this, maybe one more time so I did. I went and I bought a lace front though, and included on myself and it wasn't. It was sticky - and I didn't like that was before I got into skincare so well, I was it was in the process of me getting into skincare, so I didn't see the damage that it was doing. To my, you know, hairline, and I have a pretty straight hairline you know, and for for me it's just kind of like put that on. Like I tried to do baby hairs, I don't have baby hairs, it was just it's just too much and I think that black women, especially are just we're becoming too obsessed with it. It'S becoming, you know the only thing we talk about the only thing we do and it's time to stop, but like we got ta do something else we got ta, we got to show our hair show her hair. This is my hair. Show our hair. You know don't be ashamed of what you got unless you're. You know. I there's people who do reviews and there are people who do need lace, frontals, I'm not I'm not talking about those people, but I'm talking to the women who are definitely dependent on and they have a full head of hair. Or you know, this is the only thing that you know they feel beautiful in and if you are insecure about your hair, you know you need to dig deep and and and figure out what is it that you're insecure about? Why do you feel this way towards yourself and really ask yourself these questions because there's just no Nev, it's just hair, it's just hair and you know, if you disagree with me, that's fine. You know, but I'm just saying like I I don't like them at all. I do think they're way too expensive and I do think our money could be put elsewhere when it comes to taking care of our hair and our body. You know I'm not gon na dictate on what, where you should be putting your money, I'm just putting my opinions out there. You know I want to all these pencils. It'S just it's just a little crazy to me that you know we are this obsessed the pair in a way that you know is having a pretty bad effect on us and in our self-esteem you know like I was watching looking hip-hop, I have my little ghetto Ratchet shows, I only watch it cuz. My sister was watching it and I was just like damn. These girls are beautiful, they're, beautiful and I'm like what the hell is coming out of their head. What listen, if you could rock a pink hair and red hair good for you, but the thing is it just doesn't look real, it doesn't look authentic and you know it. Just look. Doesn'T look natural to me if there's it's just too much and I feel like if you are and conservative, woman and you're into this stuff, you know you got it. You got ta. You got ta figure out to get out of this because it's just not the conservative look. You know, there's ways to rock a lace frontal that I have seen. I take it back. I have seen some really really good ones. I forgot, I think his his name is Alonso. He does Great Lakes pretzels, and he has a more glamorous look like his hairs are very his wigs are very glamorous flowy and any of the women always look gorgeous with it, and I feel like a tease and that he never does the most and every time I go on YouTube, I see girls doing the most and it just does not look good and I haven't seen much videos of people kind of calling this stuff out. You know stop it stop doing the most stop with the green hair. This crazy mess. It'S not! That'S making people not take us seriously, you know, and I get people are gon na say people are gon na, say that you know I'm hating or I'm this nun. That and I'm trust me I've been there. I never tried colored hair, though I never tried colored hair, but you know I feel like this hurts us more than helps us and if you can put your emotions aside to just kind of see where I'm coming from you know, maybe we can have more of An in-depth conversation, but I don't know - maybe it could be me, maybe I'm just jealous - and I want to wear, yellow hair, I'm mad that I can't pull it up. What part of me thinks that it's it's also just you know it might stem from insecurities. You know I just I just can't see myself, you know promoting lace front, wigs anymore, I just can't you know even the ones that look good, I'm just like just stop. You know you'll see how I do I'll get some beauty tips in here soon and I will always promote like quality hair quality. Like like beauty tips, you know cuz. I want women to give themselves the best because they deserve the best and when I see these women put on these crazy, looking wigs and think that they look good with these baby ears that go crazy. You know I'm sorry, it doesn't look good. It doesn't look good and I want to talk about the damage that it does to your skin. So, when you're constantly putting glue on on your your, you know, I see the girls, they do the cap thing and then they're spraying that got to be glue and they're using like that other glue. What what you're doing is Eric. It seems like you're, creating a just like a line of demarcation on your forehead and you're, also ripping out the hairs there and that can cause permanent damage to the follicle. I know girls love doing this to the hair, but if you can't let go of the lace, frontal look for better alternatives to wearing them, because it's it's not gon na, look at in the end or take a break from wearing them and figure out how to Style, your hair, you know, be confident in what you have you know be confident, I'm sure you look just as beautiful it's not without the craziness going on, and you know, if you are you know on my channel, then you know you can see the way. I do my hair some days. I probably won't even wear makeup, I'm starting to that. I realize this is YouTube and I just taking it more seriously, and you know less is more less is more. You know we need to stop being so loud with everything why why do? I must be being loud all the time and I don't even even mean like in, like the literal sense, like you know, it's it's more. So just our presence, like does not have to be loud all the time we do not have to be showy. You know we can just be calm, cool and, let's start with our hair. Let'S start with calming it down, when I pitched just a little bit just a little bit and if you're mad at me, now you and I'm your sis and I'm just gon na keep making videos that you know that I feel like girls, especially black girls, need To hear you know, be cautious of what you're doing to your skin

Lashell Pierre: I completely agree. I honestly would say MOST wigs/weaves that I see on black woman look foolish and it is embarrassing to see it. So many beautiful black women don’t see how it actually takes away from their beauty. ‍♀️ Personally I think clip ins or something similar to your natural texture looks worlds better.

Manaar Broxton: I agree with you! I’m all for a natural sew in. I don’t like straight hair, body wave, or even water wave. Just a preference. I always get kinky curly hair if I do a sew in because I like versatility and it still looks like African American hair. Frontals just seem damaging over time, time consuming and I as well have not found one that looks realistic✊

DonToons: I feel you on this. I haven't wore a lacefront in a few months and I put one on today. Let me tell you I did not like it on me. I'm not really a fan of the brazillian virgin hair. I think its beautiful but since I've been natural I only want weave or extensions that look like my own hair

Amplyfe Society: Absolutely love this video! Alot of these trends cheapen our look and take away our natural beauty and class.

Jozelle Demesmin: I agree! I did this once and I paid $100 for the install, and probably $150-200 for the wig that I never used and had in my house for about a year LOL and took it out the same day. It was great work, it looked good.... on the other hand, she put so many chemicals in my hair that my skin reacted poorly, she didn’t protect my face then put me under a dryer for about 15 mins so my skin absorbed all of that junk.. I don’t understand why they would place the wig about an inch beneath your hairline never again. I love my natural hair!!!!

ilies nur: Lace front is the worst trending ever

Jessica Quianque: I was hesitating between starting to use lace frontals to keep growing my afro because it is getting long and I want to find ways to retain length. I started watching videos of girls on youtube and how to put them with the glue and everything. After seeing this video , I know now why lace frontals were not making me "comfortable" to take this decision . Wearing lace frontals on a daily basis almost shows to me that there is something to hide and some hidden "insecurities" about not feeling beautiful without all of this extra/fake hair like you said...For example, especially when going on dates and then the guy figuring out that you are wearing a wig... I will never feel comfortable with that feeling, and will definitely stuck to braids/ twists instead. It's our responsibility to think about what kind of message we want to send out there, or are sending unconsciously about how we see the beauty of our hair and how comfortable we feel with showing it. My hair is really kinky and curly and needs to be protected for sure. From time to time, it's nice to take a break , but I think people are mixing protective styling with completely changing their appearance to a point where we cannot even recognize a person when she has a wig/ make-up and without any of these ...Wearing this every day is a little bit out of control and excessive, especially for our edges. Also protective styling is supposed to save us more time, and putting all that glue every morning is just too much... I started wearing my fro and focusing on how to get it more beautiful everyday and my sisters started to follow that too. One of them was always using lace frontals and then got inspired to stop all this non-sense. It's our responsibility to inspire our sisters and little girls too and show them that we are confident with our own hair . Thank you for speaking up.

Sarah: I’m not one to tell people what to do. Yet lately I’m gravitating toward kinky/curly hair or lace fronts they look way better. Wear coloured hair if you want since not everyone wants to dye their hair but there’s no reason to get straight hair 12 months in a year lol

Rachel Rae: Agreed!!! Lace fronts don't often look good. Watching these girls on IG they look decent on some people in pictures but in person they look too wiggy! And I can alwayssss see the lace. I used to hate the neon colors too but I've gotten used to it. FYI I am writing this as I wear a lace front lol. I decided to try one out during quarantine (it's my 1st time). I wanted to get it done at a salon but not enough to pay $500 so I did it myself. I installed it on Sunday...it looks okay but its not for me. I'll prbly take it out by the weekend because just like you I prefer the natural look.

Crisorchi: I agree with you. We are so so talented and gifted. Especially with wigs, weaves, etc. But I also agree that we can have the tendency to be 'loud' sometimes with it lol. The extravagant colors & length. I too have seen some very beautiful installations and some that could use some work. I can truly women who wear their natural hair with pride, on a daily basis. But I also understand the need to branch out sometimes and experiment with a natural looking wig or weave. More so if you have a medical condition where a wig would help boost confidence. But seeing those extra long, silky, fake baby hairs, obvious part lace wigs worn.... :(

Haircules: I feel you on a spiritual level

pepperrgirl: Nah, It's not you. I think most women outside of movies and experts look crazy in lace fronts. Saw a geisha in the beautiful movie 'Samsara'..I couldn't properly concentrate on the moment because I could see the damn lace plus her hairline was half an inch away from her brows. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivwdXTw8nJs Side Note: Personally, I love it when people do them. Be loud and beautiful as you want ....be gentle, calm, and charming if this is how you flow. There's a seat for everyone at the table(except when I'm PMSing or not feeling people on certain days).

silkyslim2111: I agree with you! Nice channel.

TruestLovely LovelyYellow: LoL. The I want death to all lace frontals sent me I agree with that sentiment How are women comfortable having their whole d@mn scalp covered for extended periods of time. The hideous muppet lashes can get murked aswell.

love: Agreed!!!

Purple Glitter: This country just passed a law to prevent companies and schools from discriminating against natural hair so that says it all about where this came from. This society has done serious damage to our group and we need lineage counseling which is part of the reparations agenda #Ados are fighting for. This is sad and embarrassing. I use to be like these girls and understand them but its gotten even worse in the past decade.

Sarah-Beruriah Bat Tzion: Agreed

Moria K: I hate lace fronts too it’s so ugly and no it doesn’t look like your real hair THERE I SAID IT!! Especially the loud colored ones

Lala Ssss: Your smile is beautiful.

shanae brown:

Dream Girl: Is your hair relaxed?

Taylor Pink: Yeeeeeeeessssss
