Hey everyone it's melt and welcome back to my channel and if you're new to my channel, welcome to the app today's video, I will be showing you all how I clean my lace front, wig so here after all the spring of the got to be glue. This is what you see a lot of gel and it's all, crunchy and sticky. Looking and everything like that, so I'm gon na show you guys what I do to remove the gel and everything so that way, each time that you apply your wig, it's a smooth application. Now you don't have to do this every single time you put on your wig. You can just do this whenever it gets this bad or whenever it gets this dirty. So I've probably had maybe five or six layers out of this, and now it's like getting really crunchy and sticky. I don't know if you guys can see like the gel has done this to the hair. Everything is still set in place and everything like that, but it just looks very crunchy. You know I'm saying so. What I'm gon na show you guys is what I do to get rid of all of this make it smooth again so that way, each application goes. A lot smoother and that we can, you know, preserve the lace as much as possible. So if you're interested on how I do this, then just keep on watching it's very, very easy. You guys it takes about four simple steps. Just to you know clean this area. So I'm gon na show you guys what I do and let's go ahead and get started. Okay, so first step number one: do you want to go ahead and boil some water? I went ahead and use my kettle pot to boil it just cuz. I feel like a kettle pot: warms up your water or boiled your water, I'm not Quaker, so I'm going ahead and do that and then put it in this pot, because I need the space to put the hair in. You don't need that big of a pot only because we're only cleaning the lace part of the wig, so you don't have to worry about having a huge pot. But if you want more space you can use a bigger pot. So I'm going to go ahead and allow the water to cool down for a little bit, because we do have a lot of vapor coming out still. So I'm gon na wait till it cools down just a little bit, but you still want it to be hot enough to make the process taking off the glue or the got to be free spray or whatever you have that's tacky on that area of the lace You want it to be able to come off, so what I'm gon na do right now is just allow the water to cool down just a little bit, or at least get rid of this vapor a little bit, and then once it has cooled just a little Bit then, I'm gon na go ahead and place the lace part into the hot water. Okay. So I went ahead and I put a scrunchie right here - sorry for my nails, again, y'all, I'm just struggling okay but um. So I did go ahead and place a scrunchie on the wig too, because we're only working with the lace. So I wanted all the hair to be out of the way. So I did go ahead and add a scrunchie and I just wanted to show you guys again more of a close-up what we're trying to get rid of we're trying to get rid of the free spray here on my wig, it's very crunchy and I'm not gon Na hear that, but it's crunchy and kind of rough and hard, so I'm going to go ahead and put this part of the wig into the water. But I just wanted to go ahead and show you guys what it looks like before they're announced. So what you want to do is again the scrunchie you can hold the hair from the scrunchie and we're all we're gon na do is place the lace part of the wig into the water. So I'm gon na go ahead and dip it just like that and we're gon na leave it in the water I'll say for like what a minute a minute, or so you want to make sure all along the sides of the laces dipped in there. Now, if you want to wash the whole head hair, you can, you know, go ahead and put the whole hair in there, but we ain't doing it. So I don't know if you guys can tell already, but the hair that was crunchy is starting to get soft and the area that had the gel is literally coming right off now, if you use, I mean they got to be free spray. Now, if you use actual bonding glue, you might have to leave the hair in the hot water for a little bit longer just to allow it to get soft, so you can rub it off, but this is what I'm doing you could dip it believe it. You just want to leave it in there for a few minutes. If you have like glue, like, I said, bonding glue, you can like literally just let the hair sit like that in the water and let it sit for like three minutes, but it doesn't take that long at all, especially because the water is hot. So I think this is good enough for me a little sticky but yeah. So now I'm gon na go ahead and place this on a towel, and I'm gon na show you the next step of what I'm gon na. Do the next thing that you want to do is from the area that we wet I'm gon na go in with this wash rag, and I'm gon na go in the areas where the Jo was or the dock to be free spray, and I'm just going to Wipe that area to make sure that we're getting rid of all of the gel, the mousse that got to be free spray, we're getting rid of all of that stuff. So I'm gon na just wipe from this side. First, just like so and then on the hair too, there's a lot of like gel that you can kind of wipe off, though we're gon na wash this area anyway. So you could skip this step if there's too many steps for you, okay, I think you see so far. We already got majority of that glue off. As you can see, it's not that much glue left on here at all, really all right now, the next step that I'm about to do is wash the front part of the lace, so we're just gon na wash in this area right here. Okay, so first step number four literally all we're going to do is wash the lace know now that everything is a lot smoother. It'S not tacky anymore, so we're just gon na go ahead and wash everything and condition it as well, and that will be literally all guys. So the shampoo that I'm using is the suave professionals rosemary mint, invigorating, clean shampoo. Honestly, you guys you can use whatever shampoo that you feel like using, but this is the one that I'm going to use for today and I'm just placing it literally on the lace. That'S it the area where it was all sticky and gunky and we're just gon na rub that in sort of sack pipe honestly guys. This is how you want to preserve your wig so that they can last longer or preserve your lace so that they can last longer, you want to take care of them as if it's your real hair. That way, you have your wig for a longer period and literally right. Now, I'm just going to rinse this right off. So now I'm going to go ahead and go in with some conditioner in the same area that I went in with the shampoo and literally guys. All we have to do is let it air dry and we'll be all done. I'M using the suave professionals, rosemary mint, invigorating, clean conditioner and again we're applying it in the same area. So right now we're gon na go ahead and rinse is bad weight outs. So now I'm gon na go ahead and let it air-dry - and we are all done you guys, literally okay, you guys so I allowed the hair and the lace to air dry, and this is what it looks like and now the lace is very clean. There'S no more residue, there's no more stickiness on the hair and it's pretty clean. I feel, like those steps, were very easy, very simple. You know not too drastic at all. You know very easy. This honestly didn't take me no time at all. If I wasn't filming, it probably would have took me all of 10 minutes to do so. I hope this video helps any of you guys out.
