How To|| Remove Red Hair Dye From Lace! Revamping 5 Year Old Wig!

What'S going on guys, i am chanelle and i'm going to show you today really quickly how to remove red dye from a lace, closure or lace, wig, full lace, whatever wig you have, that has red dye on it. So i've had this wig for about five years. I wanted to revamp it and make it look nice again for the fall. I decided i wanted to do the watercolor method just to add a little bit more vibrant red to it, and i end up doing a rookie mistake by getting red dye on the lace. So now i'm trying to remove it if you guys are having the same issue. Please stay tuned and let me know at the end of this video what you thought so i put about two cups of water water in a pot and then i added about two cups of apple cider, vinegar, and you want to just make sure you mix it Up you don't really need a lot of apple, cider, vinegar but just enough to mix throughout the water, but you continue on just dipping the lace into the wig and immediately you will see that the color just comes right off of the wig. Now some of the color on the root of the hair, it may come off, but not a lot um and i also would suggest so after i dip my wigs a few times. I did notice that the water, of course turned red, which is what we wanted. So i empty out the water and just put in some fresh new boiling hot water. You don't even need it boiling hot, just hot enough, so i did put this on the stove, but i put fresh water into the pot along with some more apple cider, vinegar and i re-dipped the wig again. I did not show that in this video - and i actually did not show the results of the wig after i re-dipped it the second time but you're gon na see right here how it looks after me dipping it the first time and as you can see it Is that medium brown color, but the red is lifting, so it is working and after that, second time of me, re-dipping it and cleaning out this red dye it worked. This is how it looks after i dipped the wig into the boiling hot water, with the apple cider vinegar. Now all i have to do is clean off the residue of the glue and install the wig.
