Using It Stays To Adhere / Glue Your Wig - This Is My Favorite Product For Wig Wearing!

It Stays roll on adhesive has been my GO TO for securing my wigs since I started my journey 2.5 years ago. I have tried MANY other things, and always always ALWAYS come back to It Stays. I love it, it is the easiest and most secure way to wear wigs, in my opinion.

I have tried ALL brands and to me, they all work pretty much the same. Complaints I hear about It Stays:

- The bottles leak: yes, that can sometimes happen. I just make sure to store them in a way that, if they leak, it won't be a problem to wipe up. This is not enough of a hassle for me to stop using.

- It doesn't hold in the summer: this CAN be true, depending on the conditions you are in. You can't have something this easy to remove and clean up without some trade-offs. I have worn It Stays and gotten REALLY REALLY sweaty. I find that as long as I don't disturb my wig (aka: don't ride a roller coaster) then eventually, when I cool off, it will re-adhere and all is well. If I am going to be in conditions where the water soluble nature of It Stays will be a problem, then I will use another method (wig tape is a good alternative, though too strong and challenging to remove for everyday).

- You can't use it with a basic cap wig: this is a TOTAL myth. I have used it with basic cap wigs A LOT and it works just fine. No idea where this myth came from but I hear it a lot

- It is too messy: I find it to be way easier to use than tape, and way less messy than Got2b spray, and way more comfortable and secure than a wig grip. I guess we all have our own preferences :)

Want to buy a bottle? Here is a link to one that is really popular, but I say just buy whichever one is cheapest or easiest to get and call it a day: https://amzn.to/38nlHEf

The wig I am wearing is Isabella Mono by Belle Madame.... I got her from Continental Wigs in the UK (they deliver to the US)- and if you use the code WIGSIS you can get free shipping from them!! https://bit.ly/IsabellaMono

Hey everyone. Thank you so much for being here today. My name is denise, i'm also known as heywig sister on instagram and facebook, and today i thought i would do an updated video on how i use it's days, because it's been a really long time since i've done a video on this, and i still see so Many questions about how to adhere a wig and if it stays, is going to ruin the lace on a wig. And so i want to show you exactly what i do with my wigs every single day, because this is how i wear my wigs. There'S lots of ways you can wear them and i'm going to do a whole video. In my newcomer series, i'm i'm preparing to film a new wig wearer series. That'S going to be multiple videos long and it's going to cover the wig journey. But this is just a little piece of it, because i want to show you what i do so. What i have, in my hand, is it stays. I have lots and lots of different versions of this. I'Ve tried, probably everyone on the market. I just buy whatever's on sale. I don't find a dramatic difference in how they work. So if you are looking for just look for something that says it stays it's a roll-on adhesive. I think that it's also used for like compression socks and things like that. So it's completely safe to use and this one is almost gone. I'Ve almost used it up, and so i'm gon na go in reverse order. I'M gon na show you how i remove it and then i'm gon na show you how i put it on because i already have this wig on and it's already adhered i've been wearing it all day, and so, let's just kind of get into this. So, first of all, when i'm removing a weight, remember i'm going in reverse order, because i've just decided to film it, and i already have my weight on when you're looking to remove a wig. You want to make sure that you, because it stays, is so extremely water soluble all it's going to take is water, but you want to make sure you use enough of it that you completely release the adhesive that way, you won't rip your lace and i think That'S what most people are afraid of is that they're going to either stretch out their lace or rip their lace. I have been wearing wigs for two and a half years. I have been adhering my wigs with its days that whole time i have never ruined the lace front on a wig. I am very careful with how i remove them and i have not had an issue and i will show you this lace front. I'M wearing isabella mono by bell madame, and i have worn this one like 30-ish times and her lace front is perfect all right. So, first of all keep in mind. It stays super water-soluble, which means if you're gon na get sweaty you're not going to want to um. Let me back up if you're going to get sweaty it's going to release a little bit. I have found that my wig still stays put as long as you're. Not in a situation where you're going on roller coasters or doing something where your wig could get pulled off, don't worry about getting sweaty with it on because as soon as you cool down and your sweat dries um, it does read here: it's really great, okay, so, But keep that in mind, so i've got a washcloth. I'M in my bathroom looks a little different from my early videos because we got rid of all that green wallpaper and we're just waiting to get a shower door installed. We got a new shower door, but okay, so i'm at the sink, i'm getting my washcloth wet, i'm not gon na. It'S not sopping wet, but it's wet enough that when i do this, it's going to release water. Okay, i'm gon na put my hand here because it's gon na drip a little bit you'll learn how much water you need, depending on how much it stays you put on how far down you put it, how far back you put it all right, so it only Takes about 15 to 20 seconds, so i've put it on and now it's already loose, that's literally all it takes now. I am a little sweaty right now. I will admit i'm in my bathroom. It'S warm in here. I could uh dry my sweat a little bit. Um, so i have a feeling this was already getting a little loose just from getting sweaty, but that's really all it takes, and so, if you have, it adhered really really well, i would just be careful when you start to lift it. Do you feel it pulling anywhere? If, if you do give it a few more seconds or squeeze a little bit more water on it, it will completely release so that it doesn't pull at all. So don't worry about that? You just need to make sure you give it enough time and you use enough water and it will be fine. Now, i'm gon na show you my lace front. Like i said this is isabel amano uh, i've worn her a ton and i always adhere her. Always always always, i have no issues with any fraying on this one and obviously you guys are gon na have to take my word for it. I you know i think. Hopefully i have to demonstrate it and build enough trust that you know i'm not lying to you, but you know you haven't actually lived with me and been doing this, but this is the god's honest truth i this is what i always do with my wigs. Now. I'Ve gotten a question: do you have to wash your wig more often, i have not found that to be the case. Sometimes, if the, if i feel a lot of stickiness left on it, i will just take my wet washcloth and i'll gently kind of i won't. I won't rub it hard. I won't go back and forth with it, but i will kind of rub it down and just sort of get some of that stickiness off. It'S usually not an issue, but you can do that now, obviously, with a synthetic wig that little bit of water is not going to do anything to the style um, the front is just a little bit damp that'll be dry by the time i want to wear Her again, it's no issue if you're going to wear human hair, wigs, obviously using that water could um take out a little bit of the curl if you had some curl in the front, just like you're, just like your bio hair. So i don't wear human hair. Wigs really in general, so i haven't had to deal with that. But keep that in mind. And then all i have to do is take the same, wash cloth and go like this and it gets rid of any of these stays and any of the stickiness. And i'm good to go, i do now. Let me go how i put it on so now, keep in mind, i'm a little wet beauty of being in my bathroom, so keep in mind. I put this on a little bit on my hair on my forehead and a little bit on my hairline. I do put it on my hair again if you use enough water and you give it enough time - you're not going to pull your hair when you remove it if you're impatient and you try to take it off before it's ready, it could pull, and i don't Recommend that, because the lace fronts on these are delicate, so you want to give it enough time, but so i take this and i roll it on usually just on this front part right here. Just like that, just a couple swipes back and forth, i don't put a ton on. I don't get it super wet. If you now, isabella mono does have lace. That goes all the way down here, so i could roll it all. The way down to my temples to adhere the front of that lace all the way down. I don't um because she doesn't partly because this one doesn't fit me that well, it's really kind of small on me and it doesn't really cover my bio hair. So i usually don't pull it off my head, so you can see those sides anyway, but just know this is personal preference wherever you want to put it and you don't have to wait for it to cure or set up or anything you just roll it on And then you go and you put your wig on and you have got now bear in mind. I just took her off she's a little wet up here, but you have got plenty of time to get her situated. You can pick her back up and reset her. If there's hair under there, you can go get that hair out. If you didn't quite get the ear tabs set right, you can you know twist it it takes. You know five-ish minutes or so for it to get all set up, depending on the conditions that you're working in and so you've got that time and then once i have her set, i press this now if i feel some sticky, i'm feeling some sticky right there. So i got some of the it stays down a little low, and so i just take a little bit of a wet washcloth and i just clean that up wherever i feel sticky outside the lace. That'S it and then i just sort of press it down it. Actually helps the lace to melt into your forehead, even better uh, then a wig grip, um i'll tell you guys. I don't wear wig grips for a variety of reasons, one of which is, i feel, like the fronts. Don'T lay that flat on me when i wear a wig grip. I know some people love wig grips. It is absolutely personal preference, but my preference is to use it stays. It just gives me security. It keeps that lace flat and i feel like i'm good, to go all day. So that's really all i do to adhere my wigs. You can use it stays on non-lace front. Wigs. I'Ve also heard and seen people post that you can only use late. It stays with lace, front wigs. I use it with all my wigs basic cap lace front, all of them. I'Ve never had an issue with it. It works perfectly with them all, and i've also heard some people use it in the back to keep the nape down. I tried that early on in my wig journey and i had a really hard time getting that to stay securely um. I have a couple of thoughts on why that didn't work for me number one. I had long hair then, and i do think it made it harder for me to adhere it with my long hair that could have been a factor. I think the second piece is, i i'm hot blooded. I run warm all the time and, like i said, it's super water soluble. So if i got even a little bit hot and sweaty, it would release it back there and because wigs want to pull up a little bit in the back on me, i think it was just that tension kept releasing it. So you can try it and - and you know i haven't - actually tried it since i buzzed my hair. It might work better now, but i don't feel the need to adhere the nape anymore. I'Ve gotten used to how it kind of moves around a little bit in the back and i'm comfortable with it. But if, if you that's something you want to, try totally go for it, um other than that, that's it i mean it's really quick to use, and i don't know if it's adhered because i you know i was wet and i'm a little sweaty. It'S it's starting to adhere, so it's really quick! I haven't tested it to see how long it will take to adhere um, because i don't have any need to do that. But i would say you know probably five minutes if you're, not sweaty or hot, or anything, it's really quick to set up, and then you know later in the day or you know even. However, long later i mean it's it's it's on like it is on tight. It'S very secure, okay, that's it! I just felt really felt the need to go more in depth about how i use it stays. Maybe dispel some of the misinformation out there about it being dangerous for lace fronts. If you're careful, i don't see how i've never had it ruin a lace front. I wear so many wigs and i use it stays every single time. I wear a wig, so i i guess i don't know um where that information is coming from. Maybe people aren't being careful, and i also wanted to just make sure you understood how i put it on and take it off. If you have questions, let me know otherwise. I hope this was helpful. It'S just some more information for you on your wig journey, and everybody's preferences are different people like all different things for for wig wearing. This is just another one for you to consider alright guys. Thank you so much for watching. Kim Myers: Great video, Denise. Looking forward to your New Wearers series. I've just started using It Stays in place of a wig grip and my lace fronts look SO much better - they finally lay flat to my forehead. I think the wig grip pushed it up. It's very hot and humid here in the summer so I'm wondering if Got 2 Be might be better for me as my head sweats a lot.

Kathleen Beauchemin: I love It Stays...I'm addicted when I get down to my last bottle I get nervous...always have 2 or 3 spares‍♀️ Great video, Denise ❤

Doodica: I would be lost without It Stays! Like you, I’ve used it since the beginning and love it. It makes the lace disappear! I have also found that it will re-stick after mild sweats, but as a hot-flash queen, if I’m having a heavy sweating day, it will break down. I have been experimenting with got2be ultra glued styling gel for that.

Alice S: Great video! I’ve tried multiple products and I always go back to IT STAYS. It works the best. Thanks again Denise for great information and advice

Shelly F: Another very informative video. Thank you, Denise. You are always a bright spot in my day! Hugs and blessings, Shelly

Rachel Randall: Thank you! I used this based on one of your previous videos and it has boosted my confidence while wearing the wig. Love this stuff!!!

Terrie Severson: Thanks for the update. I have a bottle that I never opened because I was nervous I’d apply it incorrectly. Now I’ll take your advice and give it a go. Lately all my different wig grips are giving me a headache so your video message came at a great time.❗️

Jesus Saves: What a sweet wig you have on! So natural and pretty on you. Also, I love It Stays, too.

Beth's Best Hair: Thanks Denise, I just bought my first lace front and ordered the it-stays roll on, so now I know what to do with it! lol

Rama Nichols: Thanks so much for the video. I have yet to purchase a good wig, and one reason has been concern over adhesion. I run hot too and I sweat. I also live in the desert and summers can reach 120 degrees. I’m relieved to know there are good products that can be used. Love you and your personality. Looking forward to your new series.

C. Dee: Thank you for another great video, Denise. I always look forward to them.

AJ Row: Thank you, Denise, for the tips!❤️

Sonya Davidson: Thank you for posting this. I have it stays and been staring at the bottle not sure how exactly how to correctly use it until now lol.

Lacrecia Earl: Love your videos. Extremely informative. Not boring. Easy to understand.

LP Longplay: It Stays is a great product. Love your channel and find it very informative. Thank you!!

Sandy Sunrise: New subscriber and you, Denise, is just what the doctor ordered. Absolutely love your videos. Thank you.

Taunya Winn: It stays has been a godsend. Only way I can keep a wig on my petite head. Thanks for your videos!

Elizabeth Pidgeon: Awesome. Thank you so much for referring me to this. Easier than I expected!

Julie: OMG Denise, THANK YOU sooo MUCH for this!❣️❣️. Now, the only question I have left is would you mind doing a video on using It Stays AND/OR wig tape on NON- Laced-wigs? If not, then perhaps just describe (to me) WHERE on the wig itself a person would apply the adhesive —— ESPECIALLY in relation to where it’s then going to adhere to on 1/2 long (bio-hair) on the person’s head, 1/2 balding areas?!? (I’m struggling SOOO much with adhesive placement because my head is a mixture of total hair loss on top, front, and part of sides. This 1/2 and half hair loss and presence makes for a VERRRY difficult, painful (because of stickiness and tangling pulling on biological -hair when trying to remove wig with wig tape especially❗️❗️ ** DESPITE these issues I continue to usually use wig tape for assurance of wig security due to the high heat and humidity climate I live in—Texas. (As u said— It Stays would sweat-lift.) I just need help because I end up either RIPPING or CuTTING what hair I do have left, OUT, evverry single time I wear a wig. Otherwise, I wear the same baseball hats I wore before I left made the big switch over to wigs about a year ago. It took SOO much time, responding earching, and COURAGE to become a “wig-wearer”, I just wish I could reap the benefits of actually WEARING them other than for special occasions. Wig grips don’t really work for me. Probably doing something wrong with them for all I know- Wig caps DIG into my (balding,) head perimeter so severely that it gives me a BAD headache within first 30 mins and permanent DEEP, RED INDENTATIONS within first 10-15 mins that remain as severe for a good WEEK following. It reeally HURTS ❗️ * NONE OF THIS IS IN THE LEAST BIT EXAGGERATED * (Any help??)

Coast Daze: The only problem I've had with It Stays is my bio hair moves with the wig attached to my hair. I'm thinking a buzz cut would be ideal as I'd have no hair moving. I've considered buzzing my hair!

Patricia Blankenbaker: Thank you! I bought some It Stays but haven't used it. Your demonstration helped me a lot. I will now use it!! God Bless You!

Clara: Very helpful Denise next time could you show us how far down the back of your head your wigs sit for comfort please. Looking forward to your new wig wearers videos!

MandeeTheGreat: Thank you for this! Now im bummed I didn't add it to my recent order

Tami A: I've hear of It Stays but didn't know how it was used. Thanks for showing how to apply, remove & the lace front after removal. If I wear make-up (foundation) can I apply It Stays after to attach lace front?

Taticc: Hi Denise...I use got2be glue and it works just fine. Would you say "it stays" is better? Also, I hate wig grips too, but if I don't wear them, the wig starts going up in the back and I have to keep pulling down. I do have very thin shoulder long hair which I put in a pony tail very low in the head. Would you say it is an occipital bone thing that might be flat? Thank you! Btw....I also use the walker tape sometimes because I saw your review and I loooooove it!

shaunaoc: Thanks Denise! I really appreciate your videos!

Susie Q1: I just found you and love your broadcasts. I am new to wigs and my first wig did not have a lace front. Can you do a video to show how to wear non lace front to look realistic. You are so beautiful!

Terri: Great info and demonstration!!

YardMan and Wifey: How do you keep the adhesive out of the hair fibers? I’ve been spending the last hour trying to get random sticky parts out of my synthetic HD hair.

Shelly McCrimmon: It-Stays has been a complete game changer for me.

Julie Mann: Thanks Denise--I'm going to try this!

Wyzer Now: Thank you so much hon. I have a question... do you put your makeup on prior to the It Stays, or afterwards?

Deborah Wintle Escott: Great video and explaination! I’ve got Staysput roll on as I’m UK based but I believe it’s the same kind of product?

Kev L: Great information! Appreciate you!

R s: Can't wait for your newbie wig videos!!!;

Carrie: Your videos are truly the best!

Gaye McPhelan: Thank you Denise!

karlgoer: Thank you Denise, where can I buy "It Stays" ?

R s: Also do you use it stays for toppers?

Vicky White: Thank you so much. You’re the best.

Donna Q: Hi Denise, your link leads to a product on Amazon called Jomi compression. Is this the same thing?

Linda j: Thanks for sharing I'm so glad I found you .

Julie Mann: Hi Denise--I put silicone on the wig lace front so it wouldn't itch. Therefore, when I put It Stays on, it doesn't adhere to the silicone. Any ideas? Thank you.

Debbie Anderson: My problem is the back won't stay. It creeps up .Can I glue the back too.?

Karen Witmoth: Love love love your video's..

Wendy Amsterdam: Don’t you wear the human hair wig you got last year? (Eileen?)
