How To Put On A Wig With Tape And Glue

How to put on your full lace wig with glue and tape, front and back

Hey everybody all right so today I'm going to be showing you how I currently put on my full lace, wigs with glue and tape, a couple things that you'll need to before we get started. Is your 91 % alcohol, a pair of good scissors Scout protector of some sort, super tape? I got this from hair direct and I just got a ton of different I've got strips. These are the contour strip, so you can kind of see that and I got some some mini mini tape. Um, let's see what else pair tweezers I am going to be using ultra hold. We have vape on the know, tape um, we'll be using that and back that's gon na be fun because normally I have help with that. So we should see how that goes, but hopefully now that I don't have any hair. It'S gon na work out great um. Just a couple of these a tongue depressor or popsicle - stick yeah right, sow comb. So let's go ahead and get started here. What you first want to do: take your cotton swab or pad injured alcohol, I'm using 91 % and then you're just going to clean your area so right around the perimeter of your scalp along the back alright. So what I'm going to do is just put on a little scalp protector, so you're going to dab this on anywhere, where you're gon na put tape or glue okay. So we don't let that drive dry go Tiger. Drive next thing I do. Is I'm going to take my Ultra hold the ultra hold, I'm just going to put a thin layer right around the perimeter from ear to ear very stringy glue, I'm just going to apply this to my hairline, okay, so thin thin layer of ultra hold the reason. I'M doing it this way is when we put the super tape down, it's I'm almost going to act like velcro like the glue and the sticky of the tape are going to like velcro together. So so after you put this on, you've got to let it dry for about five minutes. I'M going to apply my vape on no tape to the back of my head. I'M going to put the vape on on the end of the popsicle stick and I'm going to do. Is I'm just going to go from about my ear and I'm just going to be smearing this across my hairline, you, okay, so now they both can dry. Alright! So I'm going to take a full contour strip undo it I'm going to lay that down right at the top of my hairline, take another contour strip and line that up as best as possible. Sorry, I'm looking in the mirror to really make sure I'm doing this right. Okay, now you can see. We'Ve got this little patch right here that won't have that we'll have to kind of make a perfect strip for you. Take a third contour, strap. Okay, all right! So going mini pieces now. One thing I want to say to you guys when I had hair, I was cutting these strips in half and only using a little thin strip um. You can definitely still do that, I'm just using the full strip today, just I'm going to see how this works for me. Now that I don't have hair but using cutting the strip just really seriously cutting straight down the middle, and I would get double the amount of strips out of it. So I'm just going to cut the strip with my scissors to the size that it should be. Now I just made it minier, so my tape in the front is done. The vapin in the back is like I said it's more of to act like a Velcro. It'S not super sticky right now, so once I remove the strip's or remove the bit of paper to expose my strips um - and I put I start to put the wig on it's not going to really interfere, which, if I put ultra hold back there, it would Interfere majorly um, it would let get stuck in the hair and all that good junk. So, ah so you can kind of see this shiny layer of taper, so I got that I'll clip down cut back you can use whatever kind of clip is easy. So I start getting this in position all right, so it's just basically back on my head a little further than the tape, but all right, so we're going to move this forward and you're just going to lightly put it in its spot, because if you want to Make a correction you can kind of get it to come back up if you've only lightly put it down, but if you have pressed it in its place, you're not going to get it back up. Okay, so here it is roughly where I want it to be. So I've just kind of made some minor adjustments in my magnification mirror um, like I said, if you, if you just lightly put it down you're, not good you're, going to be able to move it. So what you're going to start doing is start really kind of putting it in place by taking a rat tail comb and just kind of rubbing gently back and forth, see that little peek of lace that did not go in the normal hairline. This is firmly press. It in grab your tweezers, so you can't really see it, but there's tiny piece of tape there, I'm just going to put the lace over it, I'm just going to stick it down with the rat tail comb, take a silk scarf and wrap it around tight. Like super tight, but right around where your edges are and you're just going to, let that stay on like that, for about 15 minutes, your tape will have been set. Try to get your knot right on your hairline like right, where all the pressure is. You want it to be right around where you just put all the glue and the tape so that it's adhering the lace to the to the tape, so all right guys! Well, that's how I put on my fall a swags. Let me know what you think rate subscribe thumbs, alright, guys so I'll be doing another wig review here soon a slash tutorial and it really appreciate all the support so bye, guys, okay, guys. So it's been on for 15 minutes, so I'm gon na go ahead and dig it off alright, so she's on feels fantastic and I'm just gon na go ahead straight on her and we're out today. So alright, guys just wanted to give you a quick update on it, and I will be talking to you soon. Hi

Whitney Carr: Thank you thank you THANK YOU!! I have alopecia so I've been wearing synthetic wigs for about 6 years now. I recently bought a human hair lace full lace wig, and I've always heard that you had to use a cap in order to wear them to get that "flat surface", but watching this video I know I won't need it! Thank you so much again. I have subscribed to your videos, huge fan now! :)

Chloe Nelson: I've found my white girl wig guru! You're hair looks so freaking amazing. I now have confidence that I can wear one myself and no one will ever know!! Please more videos.

MySonsMom74: I love your tutorials!  I'm new to this whole wig thing, just ordered my first one.  Can I use this concept on just normal synthetic wigs?

Neashalle Gentry: Love it, do you shampoo down through your lace throughout the week, and how long does your bond usually last before you take it off and reapply

Mila Drazenovich: You are such an inspiration! Love your personality and fearlessness posting these vids ;)

Dana T: Hi Shelly. I have that problem too with certain laces. It seems the softer the lace the less itchy. Also I try to make sure ALL the lace is glued down. It seems if any ends of the lace are exposed or not glued down it itches too. I hope this helps.

DaTruEbonyRayne: OMG!! This has got to be the BEST informative lace front tutorial thus far. Now, I only have 2 question, how long does this method last & where can I purchase the vapon from?

JosieQ: Wow!!.. Very impressed!!.. Thank you for your tutorial!....Does this have to be done everyday, like, do I remove the wig to go to sleep, then glue it back on everyday?.. If that is what it takes, that's fine, but just like to know.. I am new to this, but I imagine that sleeping on a wig will shorten its life?.. what is your experience with sleeping with a wig? Thank you!!

travis Bronson: thanks so much. the most informative video ever! love it!!

deedeexoxo100: Good job, you did it like a professional. I choose not to use the glue and tape anymore, i just couldn't deal with the sticky mess.

Amy EM: IDK why you are wearing wigs but they look great! Thanks for helping me understand how to place it. I have short fine hair and I want something longer and natural!!!

PASUN1: I have been searching for a video like this forever THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Susanne Madonna: this is amazing! how long can you have a wig on? and how is it taking it off? is it painful, sticky etc..?

Dana T: Hi. I sleep in mine all the time. I use Ultra Hold glue. I leave it on for about a week. I make sure to put it up in a bun high on my head and sleep on a satin pillow case. When I take a shower I just put on a shower cap and then after my shower I gently comb out my hair and spritz it with water to bring back the curl.

Mainely Overland: Fantastic video, thanks!!!

TheSarapak: How do u keep cool in it? Does sweat affect the adhesive on the scalp/lace?

Latonya Montgomery: This was great. how long does your unit last with both the tape and no tape adhesive.

Wigs by Patti's Pearls: Great video and very informative.

kathysofierce: is the tape hard to remove? how would you remove the tape from the wig?

yourgirlval: Do you ever have any problems with hold on a windy day or is it pretty secure? I'm thinking about making the transition to full lace just kinda nervous.

my0little0secret: you can try to adjust the elastic straps if it has them the looser it is the more likely it might take off ;)

Arely Ramos: Oh wow this video has been really helpful :)

Haters gonna Hate: it looks awesome!

Octavia Hurt: omg i love this now im thinking about shaving my head soooo cute

Ally Rose: how long does this glue/tape method last and does it hold really well? i;ve used tape before and it sucked haha. but would jsut glue work or do you really suggest them both

Alisha Cassidy: Hi there....I'm jumping in to my first glue on lace wig. I've got down gluing the front but thinking about gluing down the unit to my entire head. Any reason why you don't? Any advice?

Shai Loveless: You look beautiful even without the wig, but wonderful vid.

tnwilliams52: Love it!!!

David Brooks: how long does your hold last?

Pinot Orchid8: I just subscribed! I'm glad there is a white girl I can watch to put wigs on. I have a question. I bought a Friday Night Hair synthetic lace front, and I wanted to adjust it to loosen it up because I get as light headache, so how do I do it? I'm new at this, so I'm not sure what to do. Also, can I leave my hair down w/out a cap, and just put the lace front over it? Do you think it'll hold in place, and not come off?

slipknot the nine: you look pretty with and with no hair :)

Screwball Losers: How do you get the sticky stuff off the lace when it's time to take it off ??

Judy Canul: how long can you leave it on ?

Kitty Creampuff: can the glue and tape part be applied in the same manner on a front lace wig?

MsDissasociative: it just helps watching someone who is white putting on a lace wig. I find it harder to make it look natural and undetectable because everything shows up with lighter skin. So watching another girl with the same race put on a lace wig helps alot.

eedz77: How many days will this wig stay on before u reapply it again?

paulineosikoyapo: great video but i have a few questions erm how long dose the lace wig last for . can u tie the lace wig in an updo. how much dose ur lace wig cost and how do wash your lace wigs and comb it please answer these question thank you missmidnightx :)

Brighteyedgurl25: Try ghost bond glue its not stringy and the hold is really good there's lots of tutorials on YouTube on it

Sadia Will Mosh: Are you able to keep it on for a couple days ? :/ Must be annoying to go through that process each morning .

MotoMeko: Okay I have a serious question. How do you sleep in your synthetic wigs with out them becoming all tangled

Dionicia Amos: So I have a couple of questions, first of you look beautiful, im pretty sure you get that a lot, Ok here I go, do I have to get the products you used off line or can I get them at my local bss, second, how long does this last

Netyri Chan: Great Job !!! Very Realistic....

twinkeez2003: YOU DID AN AWESOME JOB! I HAD TO SUBB!

Gloxox: Where did u get the unit from?

my0little0secret: nope just wash my head and wig separate about 1x a week!

Carissa L: HELP! Are clips or glue/tape wigs more secure???!

chelsea chineme: did u cut the lace to match in a certain way?

India Black: Omg did I miss something here.wow it looks like your real hair I would have never known it was a wig.you so pretty with or without.I'm in shock. See white women can pull this off because most whites has naturally. Long hair so nobody would think twice but blacks have to really pull it off working harder because most blacks don't have real hair but mixed blacks like me have long hair but we mixed people can pull it off more like white because again mixed people like white woman have long hair

Penlady5: how long will this last, just one day?

Pammella L: You are simply beautiful and stunning!
