How I Wash & Maintain My Wigs | Lace Front Human Hair

Uh, hey guys, welcome back to my channel, it's your girl, kiki and i'm back again with another video in today's video. We are going to be washing my wigs and sorting out my books, guys i'm going to do two today, because i can't manage any more than that right now. I'M so tired, but that's nothing new. Is it i'm always tired, i'm going to be showing you guys how i just revamped my wigs. These have not been washed. These have not been washed in a minute, so they definitely need to be washed. Like yeah, you know we can wash your wigs in a while um the products build up, and it's just too much. The curls are not curling. The waves are not waving. Do you know what i mean so we need to sort it out. Like literally, you can see the the hair's stiff, the hair is stiff because yeah, the hair is stiff and it's done out here. So we need to sort it out right now. It looks like a rat right now, but when it's done properly, this one is the. I think this is 12 inches and it's just a long bob and it kind of flicks at the ends. It is really cute. I put a picture here will be wearing this wig, so you can see what it's meant to look like. This looks really bad and then this one is the curly wavy one. This is beautiful one once water hits this these waterways just pop out, and it's so pretty. So when i wash this, this is going to look completely different right now it looks really um. What'S the words right now, it looks really frizzy, but you know what i feel like i don't know. I might just be going mad, but i feel like this wig has been getting lighter. I don't know how, if that's even possible, but i feel like it's getting lighter, because when i first bought it, it was like a dark darkish brown, but, as you can see, if i bring it close, it's actually quite a light brown. It'S got a lot of red undertones to it. It is really pretty when the sun hits this one, it's really nice, so yeah, i'm going to show you guys what i used to wash them. So when i wash my actual natural hair, my hair, under my wigs, i like to use um olive oil. What is this? There is another brand i like to use olive oil brands. This is what i use on my natural hair. If you know about this, then you know about this. I love this brand. This is what i use on my natural hair. This one is really really washes out. My hair really clean and it's sulfate free when you're buying shampoos guys make sure you are buying shampoos. That are sulfates free. You can find that they're sulfate free because it will save sulfate free on the bottle or you can just turn it over and look on the ingredients and just check the ingredients to see if it's got any sulfates in it. Sulfate is actually really really drying to our hair. I don't understand why i put sulfate in um shampoos anyways, it's not good for our hair. It dries it out. It takes all the oils away that we need our hair needs oils. So we don't want to rinse out all of the oil, because then you're left with really dry hair. You know i mean, when you're buying shampoo make sure it's sulfate free. So that's why i really like this one and all my days. It just smells amazing. I feel like i've been using this for so many years. I feel like i've been using it my whole life. I literally feel like i've been using it my whole life and i love the smell of it, and then i use this conditioner with it, and this is the replenishing conditioner. Oh my god, it smells really really good as well so yeah i use these. I use this conditioner when i put this conditioner on, i usually either the conditioner on and then i wrap my hair in cling film and then i put a plastic bag over my head or a shower cap, and then i leave it for over an hour. Sometimes a lot longer than an hour, but you know what i feel like the longer you leave the conditioner in the better. It works and that's actually not scientifically, not scientifically the case. I think, after about 30 minutes, it's penetrated the hair enough, but yeah i just like to leave my conditioner on for hours and my hair comes out really really soft. When i rinse it out, my hair is soft. Once in a blue moon, i will use this. What'S this, this olive cholesterol, this is like a deep, deep conditioning treatment for damaged hair, my hair's not damaged, but every now, and then i just like to use this, because this really repairs your hair. You see a difference right after you've used it. You know what i mean, so this is this one and i use this for deep conditioning, so i probably do this every couple of months and this smells like all the conditioners, i'm really big on smell and scent. You know, oh, i could smell this all day. I wish i wish smell-o-vision was a real thing, because this smells so good and it looks like this. This is a brand new one, so i haven't used this one. You can get these products in your local beauty supply and i even know that. Actually, i think tesco's have even started doing 70s as well in the um ethnic aisle. Oh in, like supermarkets, they've got this little little section for black people's products, but we're not going to talk about that today. Anyway, that's what i use on my natural hair. I showed you that, because what i use to wash my wigs is completely different. When i'm washing my wigs, i like to use tresemme, i cleanse and replenish conditioner with pro vitamin b5 and aloe vera. This is really really good for wigs. I find when i'm washing my wigs this and this shampoo. This is the cleanser replenisher. These two go together. This is the cleanser replenish conditioner, and this is the cleanser replenish shampoo. So when i'm using these together, the wig looks like brand new when i'm finished using it and they smell great. The reason i use this brand is because i find that it just works better for the hair type, the ones i use on my natural hair. I find work better on afro head. I just have a feed in it's gon na be really dirty. Oh my gosh, all right guys, let's get to it, let's get to it, so i have basically washed both my wigs i've, shampooed them and then conditioned them. I left the conditioning for about 35 minutes, so yeah basically left the conditioner in for like that for about 30 minutes on the wigs and then i rinsed them out and i've hung them up over here. This may be my ghetto thing, but you might think why have you got your wigs hanging on the door but um? I don't have weak heads, so this is what we have to deal with. So it's just your standard towel rack and hang them over and they're going to stay there, and just hang them up like that. I like to let my wigs air dry so that the curls can be in their natural form. They feel soft. They feel rejuvenated. I'M going to let this air dry overnight so in the morning, i'm expecting it to be dry if they are not completely dry in the morning. I will flip them over on the other side and then just let them carry on air drying until they are nice and dry. Let me know how you guys, wash your wigs, give me any tips and tricks or different things that i could have done differently, because, to be honest, i think it's quite a straightforward thing. I mean, i also think it's definitely what shampoo and what conditioner you are going to be using, because you know makeup build up on the lace and then this hair spray and all the different products and the gel that you put in your wigs. It can be a lot if you don't wash them out. It'S going to start looking nasty. You need to look after human hair. The same way you look after the hair on your head.
