How To Style Your Lace Wigs In An Updo

Hi everyone, Scott Foley, and welcome back to my channel, I decided to make a video today on how I style my lace front. Now everyone loves when I wear my wig like this. They think it's my natural hair. This is kind of how I wear it to the gym. Sometimes I'll put a headband around it. If I don't feel like taping it down, you'll see in the video, it's not taped down in the front, and that's because I'm not going to the gym today, but normally and I tape it down and use a little glue underneath to hold it. Because just the tape alone, if I start sweating - which I always do, the tape will lift, we all know the tape does not stick once water hits that tape it lifts. So you have to apply a little glue to hold the tape down, but I do have a video on how I keep my lace front down going to the gym I'll link that below as well as the other video that I mentioned in the tutorial. So this is what the back looks like: hey y'all, so pretty much just wear it up, because the wigs really long comes way down here. Just comment below and thank you for watching. So the wig that I'm going to be using is my newest lace, frontal wig that I made I finished. I believe it's been I'm gon na say last year, winner of last year, so anyway, this is the way that I have been wearing on. Most of my latest videos, so I want to show you, the inside of my wig and how I create a long-lasting lace, frontal hoe. So, as you know, I use a clear lace: wig strap. This is my design, its patent. It sells on Amazon under lace, wig straps. All you have to do is Google Amazon and go to lace, wig straps and I also sell it wholesale on my website - lace, wig, straps, comm, so I'll get up close. This is the double-sided wig tape. So it goes all the way around the entire lace front. Oh now, you can see up close that it is larger than the strap, and I have stressed this a lot of times. This is the tape that I use: it's air flex, double-sided, wig tape and it's air flex because I'll open it up, you can see they the holes so their breathable holes throughout the tape. So that's why it's called air flex. It is larger than the strap and the reason why this is my favorite tape is because it holds it holds onto this Swiss place until I'm ready to take it off, and I wash his wig once a month. So that's when I take it off so these are the lace. Wig straps you've seen them a million times on my channel they're, clear polyurethane and did I say thing clear polyurethane and you know because it's polyurethane, so you have plastic on plastic. It'S kind of hard to slide, you have to hope grip it. You have to hold the inside to slide it and but you'll love it because once you put it on and get it in place, it will not move and that's why I went with the total clear you sized to have a semi clear, but the total clear Is just you get an awesome awesome hold. There are four easy steps to apply in this, but you have to apply pressure. I have a video that I'm gon na link below. I showed you step by step on how to get a two week whole, but really it's a one month whole. But I said two weeks because I didn't want to so pretty much. You have to put the tape on your wig apply, just some type of pressure or scarf. You use on your your wig stand on your wig head and just play a scarf overnight to get that tape to really seal and then the next morning take it off and put the strap on. Now I sew the edge of my straps down. You can see that black right there, let's see black thread on edge. I sew it down because when the straps start to lift, they start to lift from the sides against the tape. So for me it's just an extra security of giving me that one month hoe that I want, or else it will last two weeks so now, you're gon na hear the fan, because I'm starting to sweat. So here is my dad okay, so I'm gon na just go ahead and put my wig on for you pretty much how I wear it every day and I normally just put it up in a banana clip after I put it on his salad. So here's the strap it's um and here's the UH, the snaps. On the back of my wig. I just have three snaps and I snap the strap by alright. Ok, so here's the back so as you can see, I'm gon na get a really good hold and you know you just pull it down. So it's nice and snug, and sometimes I take my jail and I use this as the jail I use got to be glued. Is invisible, styling gel, so it's clear. Sometimes you know I take the jail and I gel it down, but I I don't want to gel it down today, but I am gon na use the gel in a different area. So one of the things that I did do was tip my net darker. I used cocoa brown, one cap full of cocoa brown to two cups, not one cup, two cups of hot water, and then I let it sit. One cup will make it too dark or if you want to only use one cup, then just use a half of cap full of cocoa brown and it's red dye. So I just kind of like to assume you ate that, instead of using hairspray, this is what the clear gel looks like it's real clear. I just like to just put a little bit right in here just to kind of separate, and this is pretty much not baby hair. It'S just. I cut a lot of it's just kind of cut a roll of here mm-hmm, so this is pretty much it pretty much. You know I just kind of brush it a little to the side and that'll dry and for me because I'm at home, I'm gon na put it in a banana clip. So I pretty much just leave some edges out my bad and I'm ready to go run. My errands and that's how I style my lace front. Oh thank you for watching
