How To Make Your Lace Front Wig Look Natural | Fix Your Wig Hairline

This is a look tell me this is not a look. Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel in today's video i'm going to show you how to make a bad hairline look good. This video is all about plucking and customizing your wig, to give it a more realistic hairline. I'M going to be honest with you, this hairline on this wig, it's tragic, tragic. Now. The first thing i'm going to do to transform this wig is i'm going to bleach the knots on this wig because right now, she's giving me hair plugs like she's, giving me hair blood the wig that i'm wearing today. It'S a pre-made wig and it's by wig encounters i'll put the info in the description bar down below i've, worn their wigs in the past. But i've never seen one like this, where the hairline is so full okay. So, let's fix this wig, i'm gon na use the blonde brilliance express powder, lightener and the salon care cream developer number 30.. Sometimes i use the l'oreal powder lightener as well. I actually don't have a preference when it comes to bleaching knots. Those are my two favorite, but i was all out of l'oreal anyways, i'm going to mix this together and you want to have a thick consistency, almost like toothpaste, okay and then i'm going to go ahead and apply this all over. My wig like butter, just like that super super easy and i'm just going to add some foil into the wig and then i'm gon na leave it for about 20 minutes. Okay, now i should have probably washed it out within like 10 - maybe 15 minutes, because the knots on the wig was actually very, very tiny knots and they were super easy to bleach. So here i am washing it off and oh my gosh, my wig looks orange yeah. I know i know i'm gon na fix that we're gon na fix that that's scalp girl, it's just given pumpkin next, i'm gon na go in with my shimmer lights. Purple shampoo! I'M sure some of you guys have seen me doing this before, especially if you've been here for a while. So i'm just going to apply it all over the lace, and this is just going to get rid of that brassy orange lace because we don't want to have orange scalp like that is not the look that we're going for. So i'm going to let this sit for about 10 minutes, okay time to wash it out, and you guys this wig is giving me scalpiana like look at it, i'm not even done with her yet but starting to look much better. It'S not looking orange anymore. However, i do have to fix the roots and the roots was very much given brassy and orange, so i'm gon na go in with some semi-permanent black hair dye and i'm actually using adore jet black, and i'm just going to take my time with this and apply It all over the areas that needs to be fixed. Now i do recommend you using some got to be free spray, all over your lace or using some vaseline to protect your lace. I was just being extra extra, careful, okay, i let the semi-permanent hair dye sit for about an hour and then i washed it out off camera and i also conditioned the hair so now we're going to go on and tweeze. So, as you can see, i went ahead and part and i'm going to part behind the hairline once you part the wig, you want to tweeze behind the hairline. I always tell you guys is whenever you tweeze: do it behind the hairline first and do not tweeze on the actual part or else you're gon na have a lot of bald spots, and nobody wants bald spots in their wigs, like no, no okay. So now i'm gon na tweeze the front of the wig, also because the front is very, very dense, like very dense like when i tell you guys, i was a little bit scared to actually do this wig video. When i got this wig, i actually want to set it back, because i wasn't very happy with the hairline. It was very, very full and i'm like oh, this wig is just going to look crazy, no matter what i do but look at it. Look at it. She'S giving scalp and she's not on my head yet every time i have my wig cap on i'm literally like tempted to shave my head, but i'm just not that brave. Yet i'm gon na put my wig on now. You guys i already went ahead and i tinted the lace. I don't know why i put the foundation down so far because i'm literally gon na cut all this off but whatever so. I want this lace to match and melt into my skin perfectly. So i have to match it to my skin tone, so this wig is now giving me scalp honey like she's. Getting there i'm very impressed like. Are you forgetting what the wig looked like when we first started like the hairline was tragic, it was tragic and i really didn't think i would be able to get it to this. It looks good now i'm here, for it just ignore the part, though she's not really centered, i'm gon na go ahead and start cutting off the excess lace. If you've been watching my videos for a while, you know this is like literally my least favorite part to cut like i don't like putting this part, because i'm always scared i'm gon na mess it up just make sure you like line it up, really good the Hardest part is over, the sides are gone. That is literally the hardest part. Now i'm gon na go in with my scissors and just cut the middle, and you guys have seen me doing this like so many times now, and i just find for me it's a lot easier to apply. My wig like this for some people, they'll cut the entire lace off and just pop it on. I i don't know that just doesn't work for me whenever i do that. I end up messing up my lace. I cut way too much off. I just like doing it like this, and i think this is easier for you if you are a beginner as well. Next, i'm going to take my bold hole, active lace, glue. This one is supposed to give like super hold, and this one is like almost done. Like i need to get another one, okay, so usually i would use a rat tail comb and spread that glue, but i left it upstairs. So i'm just gon na use this little tray here and that glue along the forehead area. You want to wait for it to dry all clear and then once it's dry clear, you can add another layer of glue. If you want to i'm going to do two layers of glue, that's what i usually do! Okay, so i'm just going to go ahead and pull down that lace. She is going to be melted. I just know it i'm going to go in with the blow dryer and i'm going to use it on the cool setting to melt down my lace. I already know that i'm going to have to apply a bit more glue onto this lace, and i do want to keep this part right here, because it's giving like you know a little widow's peak action and i like that. It just makes the hairline look really natural, just gon na go in with this eyebrow razor and just cut off this little excess part right here um. I don't really like this eyebrow eraser kind of struggling here. Oh yes, much better! I'M just gon na go in with the scissors now, okay, so i'm gon na go back into voiceover mode and i'm gon na go ahead and apply the glue to the side area as well. So i apply two layers of glue by the way you can use like more than two. If you want to keep your wig on for, like maybe like a week, you could do like seven layers of glue, but i do too because i usually keep the wig on for like a day or two. So once the glue dry, clear, i'm gon na cut off all that excess lace and then melt down my wig into my skin. No, i'm gon na melt down the lace into my skin. That'S what i'm doing and as for the blow dry, i do have it on a cool setting just in case, if you guys were curious. Okay, so now that it's all glued on, i'm gon na cut off this excess lace, and i can already tell that i'm gon na need to do a little bit more tweezing, because this hairline is very full and i'm just repeating the same steps. On the other side, by applying the glue to my skin and waiting for it to dry, clear, go in with the blow dryer and then melt down that lace, okay, guys, so i am back and my makeup is all done so it's time to actually give myself A middle part, why is it that every time i try to part my hair in the mirror, it's like centered and in the camera it just like it's not centered. I don't know why. I'M gon na go ahead and part my hair and melt down this lace because honey she's not melted as yet i'm gon na go in with my hot comb now just to flatten this wig and you know, fix it up a bit because this is not it. I'M gon na go in with my little eyebrow razor, yes and just cut it off this eyebrow razor is actually a little too sharp, like. I wasn't expecting that so i'm just gon na use the little dull one where i have a little bit more control. Now i'm gon na go in with my edge brush aka my toothbrush and i'm gon na go ahead and grab some mousse and i'm gon na create little tiny baby hair and i'm also just gon na apply to the front of the wig just to melt it Down and then i'm gon na go in with a not a hair scarf. This is pantyhose and i'm gon na tie it down, leave it on for like 15-20 minutes and take it off just to finish off my wig, i'm gon na go in with some foundation powder, and this is just gon na give my hairline a more realistic look. So guys this is pretty much a completed look. I could not really decide if i wanted a middle part or a side part or one a half up half down. I do not know what i want, but this is what the wig looks like now that we've customized the hairline and fixed that very, very dense bulky, looking wig hairline to get it to somewhat look like a little bit like you know, scalpiana. I think it looks really good. I think i did good here so yeah. If you guys like this video, you learned something.
