This is my FIRST TIME making one of these successfully lol so if you mess up don't worry it takes practice :) sorry if it looks a bit confusing it was hell trying to edit it to get a good view at the process......

What you need:

Weaving Cap or Dome Cap (your choice)

Foam Head or Mannique Head (your choice)

Wig pins (to hold down the cap so it won't move while sewing down the hair)

Wig holder (for easy installing, it allows you to attach the wig head on an end table like you're doing an actual head)

Needle and Thread

Scissors

Chalk, Eye shadow base or ANYTHING that will show up on the cap when drawing your mark

Tips:

Use about 10 needles and thread them at the beginning of your install so that you don't have to waste time stopping and re threading every 5 minutes, this will make your installing time shorter and less aggravating lol

I personally like sitting down and putting the head in between my legs to do my wigs because you have more control over it BUT for beginners I recommend you use the wig holder

Look up an invisible part tutorial...study how its done and apply the SAME method to doing your top of your wig, thats what I did which was easier for me :)

Hey: what's up so um, I'm not gon na. Do the Bob yet because I have to get paid first if the sister is broke, so I will go ahead and do my new part will side part um using princess hair shop, and I have the pure ways here in a 22 inch 20 inch in 18. So this is the hair I will be in the leaving cap. This is the cap I've been talking about. I like this way better and um cap, so you get to see me use this cap for this part, as of it, has two straps on the back. This is what I'm talking about when I say I never sew down the back. Excuse me, because I have these so I don't fell on the back down, because I can just pull these and it tightens up so before I am doing my cast, I like to stretch them out just because you never know I haven't really huge done so yeah. I got ta be real cautious when I use any cap. Sometimes this can be a to a bat attack too big, but um um. It'S been pretty decent. The last time I go and because I don't want to do an l-shape because I'm natural - and that means I have to leave too much hair out. So our base is gon na go right about here and just draw a line with our um eye shadow base. The white line typically you'll, um player - you won't be precisely this straight, I mean you may go and work some more or you make curve it. But this is this. This is just good to guide you when you're doing your wig or whatever you you so now. I'M about to end the 22 inch, so I'm gon na have a little bit of the 22 left, because I wanted to be layer, so I'm not gon na go ahead and use all of this 22 and um. As you see since we're doing a side part, you really want to go all the way around here. So fall your face a little bit and then over here your course. You want to stop here and just go along this white line. So, that's why I'm going to stop the 22 here and start with the 20 inch? It probably use use half of that and then go with the 18. You, okay, now we're getting closer where we draw a line right here, so the trick basically is to get as close as possible, like you can almost like touch it really, because when you cut a member is going to spread off and so on, just kind of Lay your tracks as, if you're doing an invisible part like you're, just going to stack your stack. It'S tacky sticky like this. Okay guys. This is my first attempt, I'm just kind of playing by ear. Um. Remember how I said you made sure you want to lay these tracks. You see has like an invisible part. So that's what we're gon na continue to do until something happens, but um yeah. Last time I don't know where I missed a bit, but you're just gon na keep laying on kind of diagonal like this. Until we get to the top you you all right now, it's too hot, so I still gon na be rocking my ball but yeah. This is how it's supposed to look. That'S this thought and then it's supposed to fall like this. That'S the flap of it and it goes right there and then this falls right here so on yeah. So I guess doing the invisible part method for this side works. Fine is this far back and just going to show you on the length. Of course the hair does not look like this. I do have a closure for this hair, but um. I don't know how to use it. You

MsJazzy2Classy: Thanks for this video sis, good job. I always love your u-parts, can't wait for the bob :)

Trinity Jae: i did a weaving cap it was hard but clearly i must not have been doing it right lol

fabulasityisme: LOL yeah i would start off with a curly one so you can get use to it, the parting on a curly closure wont be like BAM in your face like the straight closure lol

MZZKEYA A: Love how honest you were while making this unit turned out great

Newlite 7: This tutorial is soooo appreciated! I've been searching for a vid like this. Everyone seemed to only record installing the hair to the cap and the outcome. The steps you gave me will help on every wig I make from here on out! Thank beautiful!

Kiara Danielle: I think this was pretty helpful , i appreciate you putting the items in your description box , some other videos i watched just give the visual and never describe what you actually need. I've been interested in making a wig , glad you shared this :)

Nina T.: I......HIGHLY...... appreciate you making this video! Every time i watched a upart tutorial everyone STARTS OFF showing how they sew the wefts in, then they skip half of the sewing part. And I'm just sitting there like, "okkkkk...... did you sew the track straight across, up and down?" I always end up lost. Thank you soooooo much for not cutting the sewing parts of your vid. It helped a lot (my next upart wig will be on "FLEEK" lol)

aleeyatk: Beautiful! I can't wait until you post the styling video. Thanks Adri!

Arianna VanDunk: Thank You sooooo much !! This seems way easier than everything else I've seen.

mzbeautiful504: I just start watching your videos and I must say you like the only one I've seen that take time and do a tutorial step by step. It's really helpful!

Teebirdistheword: omg Adri!! Thank you so much for making this video! Wooo wait until I get pain mext week. Im gonna make myself a wig! Only thing is, I dont know how to cornrow. Any suggestions on how I can make a cornrow braid across like yours? help!

Queen Makada: Looks great i really like this technique go head girl! !! :)

Yolanda Osborne: Thanks for sharing. I will definitely be trying this method. You and many others prove that you don't have to be a professional to do hair and be creative with hair and makeup.

Poppi_Weasel: Luv It!! Wish I could see with the leave-out done. Looks real cute on you.

nowhatbeauty: this is so my next protective style :)

jimba_xo: I love you!! You keep it real and you're funny!! :)

uniquesongstress: It trial and error that helps you to get it right. Remember, when you are sewing, dont sew too tight because that will shrink the cap.

Fatima B: Looks really good!

Ashley Carriere: When making a middle part wig, how do you know when to stop when coming around and when to start coming all the way up to your edges transitioning from the nape area?

LondonAndreaa: You did a really great job on this. Recording at all. My turn to try.lol

Breoni prewitt: love it....did you sew through the wefts?

La Chantaye: I watched this video ONCE.. Bought a mannequin head & cap .. came home and made my side/U-part. It came out perfecttttt AND I used my Brazilian hair. So proud for my first time.. Thank youuuuu!

FREENAWLAGE: Very informational. Keep doing your thing!! Love your channel

Cutie Trucker: I L.O.V.E your tutorials they inspire me to do my own wigs

KeekMill: I ain't seen the video yet, but I know it's gone be fye! So I already got my like in! LBVVVS!

breeettienne: Ur foam head had me dying. I love your channel.

Kera's LuvTechniques.: Yeah, That Mannequin Has Been Through Some Things, However, Cant Wait For The Finish Look!

Its_Naj: How did you keep the cap from moving around? Also, I did one of these wigs before and when I got to the top, the cap started to bunch up. Did I sew too tight?

Paris S.: Dang! I'm laughing so hard my stomach hurts. I thought my wig head looked bad! Girl that wig head is jacked! But awesome tutorial.Really love your channel!

kymsworld119: Thank u for being honest about the closure. I don't know how to use them either. I loved the video great job for the first time.

kyndrah goshay: shes doing good on it for the first time

JesMarie Jonz: It looks good for your first or second attempt at it. Is this the wig you sew down around the perimeter around your head? I want to make one so bad, but I'm not sure I can. I guess I'll try it.

Wigzbyjay: this hair looks gorgeous !!!!!

lashawn joyner: Thanks a mill for this

1531newme: Great job, I am going to practice on cheap hair first.

Ruth St.Victor: Great job!

Donnie P.: Are you sewing into each little mesh hole? I suppose that makes sense. I'm very eager to try this. I too am natural.

MsBluSpot: Keep up the great job ! You didn't have a problem with the cap being too small after u sewed it on ? I have been trying to fix that and overcome my issues when creating the wig. Any tips ? Can you email me I want to contribute to your next giveaway to help promote my startup ? Thanks

Aaliyah smith: im really going to try this now at first i thought it was too hard for me but it seems easy nice job :)

flipalipp: Do you split the track or leave it whole?

Royal Frederick: do you think its possible to just sew in some combs or clips into the cap so you don't have to sew it in ?

Loramie Jean-Louis: That foam head has been through hell and back lol but I love you videos! I wish you lived in Tampa so you could do my hair! :(

Diana Lee: "I do have a closure for this but ummm I don't know how to use it",,, Just too darn funny . Great job though. Love your vids.

Constance Connie: do you normally sew through the weft or you just dew over it??

Nya Bella: quick question, I'm a complete novice. what's your sewing technique?

Nomadic Addictionz: Love your honesty n look it turn out great

thomasadrianna: aw thanks! :) im happy because im SLOW so i need things to be clear and explained to me lol

chr1ssy_j: your foam head has been abused lmao.

Jasmine Taylor: Are there weaving caps with combs I have made two wigs now using a u be cap. I love it but I need the support of combs, and I don't always braid my hair down the same.

SimplyShakeila: ur finally back. i was like she done went mia. finals aint no joke lol

vmjones213: So if I want to leave my edges out would I cut those flaps off in the front?? Cause when I put the cap on it covers all my hair.... so should I outline where I want the u part to lay and cut the excess off?

The Twister Sisters: Ok, thats a reasonable price... thanks for commenting back!

Tierra Williams: U r sooooo amazing it's crazy I love it

Kim OfGA: hey Adri do you sew under or thourgh the weft? my first two attemps at making a u part have failed.im tryong to figure out what im doing wrong.i love your channel

LadyL Cosby: that looked very easy ty soo much ima try this out this weekend but i want to find a mesh dome cap that came out very nice and not to much leave out

Jaquel Cornelius: Did you sew right above where the straps are? I have this same cap and can't figure out if to start at the bottom or not.

MissKona2009: you're pretty talented... i wanna see what happens to this look next...

blu3rryii: have you made a installing video like when you flat iron and blend your real hair and do layers

DaKayla Randall: have you ever tried using the dome cap?

nunerz63: good job so you just sewed down the top instead of doing the clips ?

dominicanmorena: Why do you prefer these caps as opposed to the dome caps?

Lanita Thompson: I've been trying to find something to hold my wig heads while I sew the wigs. What exactly do you use? Or anyone else for that matter.

thomasadrianna: i take it off and wash seperately its easier that way

thomasadrianna: lmao we got into a fight she made a move on my man girlllllll :)

astoldbyzury: How do you sew it in such a way that it doesn't make the cap scrunch up and ultimately be too small for your head once you put it on?

KayzaCaprisun: This video was really helpful

thomasadrianna: I sew the sides down :) thankss

riderideponytonight: Whered u get that cap from cause I've used certain caps before that cause me to get a sore/cut at my hair line due to the elastic And @Siera Lanae you could get them from sallys

Lacie Chapman: this is really nice. I wanted to do a L shaped wig because it allows hair to fall into your face but I might try this method. Plus it looks eaiser to sew down

geminiqueen963: would the same thing work for a middle part?

thomasadrianna: its totally up to you :) i think the wig lays better when its not folded at the top part....so i would say fold it until you get to the part where I would say u would cut

Lakeisha Lindsey: Will be doing this as soon as I get home

ModernMelaninHippie: If I wanted to could I still sew down the back with this method of making the u part?.

Martina W: did you double the wefts?

The Don: I couldn't help but dance to the background music lol

xtina000: You're my fav on youtube.... thanks!

thomasadrianna: you can use a marker to mark your ending points thats what i do sometime it helps to guide you

Jass Simmons: Plan on making U-Part wigs !!!

Rlyne: danm each time im looking at ur video im so speechless by ur talent girl , i think i should kidnapp you to live here in montreal :p by the way love ur channel keep doing ur thing sista

ChocolateDimples321: Funny, I bought a cap and it's too damn big, LOL. Care to share tips on how you made yours smaller, I don't feel like going to get another one

Megan Igwonobe: could i do this with just 2 bundles?

Robresha Floyd: Would recommend using yhe glun gun method or does it not last as long as sewing it down

Audrey Smith: Would you still cut the tracks if it was virgin hair or fold it?

shamara123: what did you use to hold it down?

KiKi D: Jan 2020 and I still come refresh my memories on how to do it the right way!!! Lol

TokyoDollGhoul: I'm jammin too girl! I'm trying to know the name of that song. It really caught my attention. LOL
