Making A U-Part Wig With Kurly Klips Hair

Hi Kurlies! So winter is approaching and I felt like doing something a little different this year. As you know, I love my Kurly Klips hair, so I decided to take off the clips and make a u-part wig with it. To make your very own, you need the following items:

2 or 3 sets of Kurly Klips Hair (I'm wearing 3 sets of the Mermaid Spirals) - http://kurlyklips.com

1 dome cap or U-part wig cap

1 styrofoam head

1 glue gun

1 curved needle

+ black thread

1 of that headband we all had in the 90s that they still make and sell in drugstores (see vid for visual)

Also, at the end of the video I had a few specks of glue still in the hair. They were super easy to remove once I put on my glasses and could actually see them =P

Anyway, thanks for watching. Y'all are the best

Chapter one verse: three of the black girl manifesto must change hair on the semi-regular high Curly's, its learner, and this video is all about how to make a? U part, wig with your curly clips girl, so stay tuned. It'S completely different! I'M taking out the clips yep. This is a: u part, wig using curly Clips hair first remove the clips from the left just cut the thread that holds it all together. You shouldn't lose any hair. Next we want to put on the cap. I was originally gon na use a dome cap, but it's way too big for the head, I'm using so I'm just gon na put this: u part wig cap on top Y on top! Well, it's made of a soft mesh and I don't want it to stick to the head when we start gluing, but if you buy the right kind of pack, definitely don't need to use two like I'm doing game time guys. This is the hardest part. I'M using a hot glue gun to help attach the West to the cat, I'm just taking it row by row, adding the hair using the same technique. I would if I were clipping them into my head. So that's basically the medium lapse on the bottom. The long West's above those are the short West above those, but I have a confession. I meant to only use two sets of curly clips. However, I didn't leave enough space between the weft to make this possible, so I had to use an additional set. Three sets of curly clips were used to make this way, but you don't have to do that. You can use just two, I'm pretty sure just make sure you leave enough space between each bun. Oh and I totally know you're feeling my blue curlformers right now. So so sexy, but this is what I have to do to get my hair to blend. With my spirals collection, you know the drill for the front of the head just follow the borders of the you part. It'S kind of like a jigsaw puzzle just use your best judgment, oh and if you get some glue on the hair - and you don't worry when it dries, you can slide it right off. Okay, so take the wig off old girl and cut around the perimeter. So that's basically the part of the caps that are exposed - okay, guys, I'm so sorry. I didn't get this on camera, but you're, basically gon na take one of these you're gon na cut off the ends of this and then, after that, you're going to cut that and pad, and that's what you're going to use to you know attach to the actual You part so the way can stay on your head and, as you can see here, I'm just sewing it on. So this is what the final product looks like. Don'T look too close because I've got lazy with sewing and you're just going to put it on your head, based on where you want it to sit, so I kind of like for my hair to be parted in the center, so I'm gon na put it in The center and so you're just gon na just in the front, adjust those clips in the back and then you know spread out your hair and blend, and that's it you guys. I hope you like it umm. You know you don't have to go and buy a way. Curly clips is made of really really great quality hair. So if you're just looking for a change, you don't take those clips off. If you want and just make a wig with it like you know, you saw in this video, even if you're a little messy like I am, you can still make it work. So I hope you enjoyed this. Let me know your questions down in the comments below or if you just have something to say you want to chat. You know I love hearing from you.

Terrell Spencer: Amazing idea for transforming Kurly Klips into a wig. Love it thanks for the tip. Especially sharing yet another beautiful video.

Boss: This is a really good idea, am definitely tempted to try it sometime in the future but wont the glue dissolve or weaken when you wash the hair?

Tasha James: Yay! I love this idea!

Skye S: How long did it last? Regardless of water?

Lionel Ifill: Do you think it would be possible to keep the clips on and glue the hair onto the cap? That way you could transition it from a cap back into clip ins?

Arianne: what kind of cap is best for this?  can a regular spandex cap do the trick? lawd I haven't sewn anything in a 100 yrs.

Fashion786 xx: Good idea
