What'S up you guys and welcome back to my channel, so as you can tell by my hair and the title of this video today, i tried out a u-part wig from curls curls, it's 18 inches in the texture, kinky curly i'll, put everything in the description box Below but yes, so, basically for 2022, one of my goals is to first improve or achieve my go-to wash and go on my natural hair, and in doing that i need to protect my natural hair. I need to care for it a little bit better than i have been so what better way to protect my hair than to do protective styling. So wigs braids different things like that, the only thing with braids is that it continues to like tug on my hair and i get a lot of breakage. So i was really really excited to try this upart wig, because it's very easy for me to do every day and i'm, like i said before, a lazy natural and i don't really want to put in a lot of effort. So i like the. U part wig, because it gives a natural look. It looks like it could be coming out of your scalp, but it also, you know, adds a little length adds a little. You know, oh so without further ado, i'm going to just show you guys how i put it on and give a little comments in between and yeah. So first this was the box that came in when i took the wig out. The construction of it was, as i would expect, for a u-part wig. It had the clips around the edges, um some of the lace or like the mesh that you can cut off in between some combs on the side, a comb in the back and then some straps for you to adjust the wig cap as well as far as Texture straight out of the box, honestly, i did try it on with the texture that it was without washing it and it looked fine that way as well. It'S basically just in its fully dried state. So i tried that out as well with a side part, but i also ended up just going ahead and washing the hair along with washing my hair, so that i can do a proper, like installation, be a little bit more neater with how i was putting it. In my hair, basically just washed it with regular, shampoo and conditioner and let it air dry, while i prepped my hair, so i'm prepping my hair really like i said i wanted to be simple with it. I don't want to have to feel like i'm doing too much, especially because i like to take things off at night, so i don't want to keep the wig on like overnight. I would take it off um, so i basically just had my hair freshly washed part. It where i wanted to have the leave out, i'm doing a middle part, as you guys can see and um just left a little bit of leave out because, like i said i want this to be protective. I don't want to manipulate my hair too much while i'm wearing this. You part wig, so let's a little bit of leave out and then split my hair in half, so that i could do two twists on each side. So i twisted it down kind of like a like a plait twist or like a cornrow twist, if that makes sense, but then i braid at the bottom so that they were secure then from there i just took a bobby, pin and pinned the two twists to The opposite side of my head so that it was flat, and so this is kind of what the foundation quote unquote foundation of what my pattern looks like in order to put this hair on and just started to install the wig. So first, the way i like to install is just taking that bottom comb and putting it at the nape of my neck, pushing that one up and securing that first. Also, i made sure to adjust my straps prior to putting it on my head, because i found that it was a little bit more difficult to try to adjust the strap after it was on my head so tip to do that. First um but yeah just put the comb at the bottom of my head and then pulled the u-part wig up to where my part is and opened up the clips to secure the clips around where my leave out is and then took the two combs that are On the side and just comb them into the side of my head, so basically just securing it around it felt pretty secure. I think i have a medium cap. I probably could have went a little bit smaller um. I i always think my head is way bigger than it is, but good thing i do have all these clips combs and adjustable bands so that i can adjust it as needed and i'm not like whipping my head back and forth anyway. So that's really all i had to do to apply the wig to my head took minutes. It was super super easy. So then, since i only left a little bit of leave out, that makes it easier for me to blend it in with the hair. So with my leave out just making sure that it's still damp and like i said my hair was freshly washed and then just took some of my product um, i used a little bit of cream that i have and then also some gel just to smoothen. My hair strands a little bit so that it flowed with the pattern of the kinky curly texture from this wig, and so after doing that, i also took a little bit of scissors to the hair. I just shaped it a little bit around my face on a few strands where my hair, like from my veins, is naturally shorter in the front. I wanted it to kind of cut my face a little bit better. So that's all i had to do, and this is what i ended with so i love my natural hair. I love my wash and go, but honestly, this is the length that i want to get to um. So that's going to be kind of my journey into 2022 to try to achieve this look, but until then i'm just going to achieve it with the you part. So yeah. Let me know what you guys think in the comments below again, like i said i'll put. All of the information in the description box, if you guys want to check out curls, curls and check out this kinky curly u-part wig, that i have on as well i'll put everything for you guys to look at in the description box, but make sure to give This video a thumbs up subscribe to my channel if you're not already turn on your post notifications, we update it every time i upload and until next time i'll see you guys later
