Every Natural Needs This! | Easy Kinky Straight Wig Install!

I'Ve been trying my best not to think about you, but you're stuck in my mind. I'Ve been hypnotized by you, hey all the suffering and pain got me feeling. So all right, so we are jumping right into this tutorial, no intro or outro. I totally forgot to film one, but you guys already know the deal i'm gon na be showing you guys how to get the hairstyle that you saw at the beginning of this video and i'm starting with freshly washed hair. My curls are looking really good and i'm just gon na go in with some leave-in conditioner. This one is by shea moisture. I think it's the manuka honey and yogurt collection, and i really like it it's actually running out. So i need to get some more, but i just really saturated my hair with that. Now i'm going to start parting off my hair, so, as you can see, i created a little. U part at the top, and i also pulled some hair from the sides, and now i created another section around that: u part so today, i'm installing a u-part wig, which means that i need to have some leave out on top of the wig. And so that's why i sectioned out that first section and these sections that i have right here on the sides and around the? U part are basically what i'm going to use to clip the wig into so i sewed some clips onto my. U part wig and i'm going to clip them on, and this is the type of wig that you can take on and off at the end of the night, which i love. So that's pretty much what i'm doing right here. So i'm just going to flat twist this first section i added a little bit of salia washi waging curly curl cream just for some moisture, because of course we want to make sure that our hair is nice and moisturized under our protective styles at all times, and I did some flat twists on both sides of my hair and around the. U part at the top - and this is what i was left with for the back of my hair, which will be all tucked away under the wig. I just did four big chunky braids. Nothing special here, just saturated my hair with water and added a little more of that taliyah washi, the curly curl cream, make sure i detangled thoroughly and just braided this up and i did four braids in the back. So this is what we are left with now. My hair is all braided up and i actually braided those twists into my hair, and now i have a space where i can basically clip my wig into those twists that you see and it's all flat in the back. This is what the wig is looking like. I actually tried it on and i felt like the flat twists were not strong enough to hold this hair, so i ended up doing something different, but it was late. Thank you to fabletics for sponsoring this video. So, like i said, those flat twists just were not holding the wig like i wanted them to, it, didn't feel secure. So, as you can see, i did braids instead around my. U part, i did two braids going down on the sides and two braids going around the: u part, and then i just put my chunky braids into a ponytail in the back and flipped it up and, as you can see, it'll lay perfectly fine. This is a very voluminous wig. If this was a straight wig, my hair would need to be really really flat under, but it's not so i'm really not worried about it. So, let's get back to this wig. I did another video on this wig in 2019. When i actually got it and in that video, i showed you how i won curled it, so i'm not going to go too in depth with that. Just click the link above, if you want to see that original video, but this hair has held up so well. The curls are amazing, the texture is amazing, it blends so well with natural hair. So if you're looking for something that will blend with your natural hair in its blown out state, i definitely recommend this. This hair is popping and it's been two years and it is still going strong. So, as you can see, i have clips in my. U part wig going around the? U and i actually sewed in two extra clips on the sides right here and i basically just clipped it on it's so so so easy to do and with the braid around my. U part this felt so much more secure. It was really nice and snug. It wasn't slipping so i definitely recommend this method. So, as you can see with my hair on the top, all i did was blow it out and now i'm going to go ahead and flat iron it a little bit. You definitely do not have to do this, and i really want to stress that, because in the past, when i've worn this wig, i've just done a braid out and braided my hair, along with the wig or you can do flexi rods, whatever you want to do. But i just wanted to do a more sleek look, so i decided to straighten my hair a little bit and then i'm just one curling, my hair, together with the wig. So, as you saw, i left a little section at the top right around the. U part so that i could one curl my hair together with the actual hair from the wig, and it just looks a lot more seamless like that. You can't really tell where your hair ends and the wig begins, which i love and again because this is a kinky straight wig, the hair texture, just really mimics natural hair and it's blown out state, and i love that. It'S not really super silky. It actually just blends perfectly so i again, i just really recommend this wig. Just do something quick when you don't want to style your actual hair. You can throw this on and there's a look, so i'm almost done. Wand curling, my hair and this top section of the wig and, as you can see, these curls are looking popping all. I used was a little bit of hairspray and don't forget that you don't need to add product to your actual hair, just use a little bit of heat protectant. All i added to my hair was that leave-in that you saw me spraying at the beginning, a little bit of heat protectant. Then i flat ironed and one curled, my hair. I only did one pass with the flat iron on each section and then i just quickly one curled it and it was super simple and easy. I have one more curl here at the front and i'm just going to go ahead and do that and the results were so so so nice. These curls really dropped a lot, but i honestly didn't mind this really loose wavy, beachy kind of look. I thought it was so nice and i'm just gon na do the same exact thing on the other side of my hair. So this is the finished result once i finish, wand curling, this top section of my hair, as you can see this just blends so nicely, and i just want to go in with a little style factor edge booster, because at the end of the day my edges Are still very much natural and i want them to be a little bit more sleek to match with the rest of this style. So i'm just using that on the very edges of my hair, not doing any crazy baby hairs or anything like that. I just want to slick down that kinkiness right at the front so that it blends better with the rest of this unit that i have on, and this is what my hair is looking like. I went ahead and beat my face and honey get into the finished. Look, i feel like this looks so bomb and i just really really loved it. So so many people asked me on instagram. How are you going to maintain your hair straight? It'S the summer time, it's humid! How are you going to keep it straight? So one thing that i like to do when i have this in my hair is just use flexi rods to maintain the curls and it works. So so perfectly so, i'm just gon na show you that in one minute, so this is what it looks like when i have the flexi rods installed in my hair. I didn't show you how i put them in, but you guys already know how to do. Flexi rods, if you don't, i have plenty of tutorials on my channel, but i install those flexi rods at night before i go to bed and i just do a few of them. It'S really not a lot and, as you can see, it gives me a really nice bouncy curl, honestly, the curls from the flexi rod hold even better than the one curls in my opinion. So this is a really great way to maintain the curly. Look if you want another way that i like to style, my hair with this kinky straight wig, is just through a braid out i'll. Just do a couple big chunky, braids at night and i'll make sure that i braid my leave out into the wig as well. And then i get really nice crimping curly waves in the morning, and it just looks so good and you can do that with your hair in its natural state. You don't have to blow it out. You don't have to straighten it or anything like that. So that's another really good way that you can style this. If you want to keep your hair heatless, but it is going to blend perfectly with this wig. I promise you so i went ahead and pinned back the front a little bit, and this is what the hair looks like. I also just wanted to include a clip of what it looked like later in the day once the curls dropped sis, it's just popping.
