Okay, speak english, regular american english! Today i'm gon na install a 5x5 closure. Today'S video is sponsored by you, nice. They sent me over this really pretty closure wig. So i have the closure here: two combs on the side, a comb in the back and adjustable straps. There'S no extra clips in here, which i love. I hate those clips to be like in this area. The lace looks so good, it's a really nice lace and the hairline is given pre-plugs, but i'll put all the details about the wig down below the description bar in case. You guys want to check it out. It'S the perfect length, because i want to do like a clean girl. Just natural pretty look some curls, nothing too spicy, so i feel like this closure. Wig is going to be perfect for the look i'm trying to achieve, and i didn't want to bleach the knots or anything so i'm going to install this wig straight out the bag. I haven't washed, it haven't bleached the knots. This is exactly how the wig came and we're about to get into it. So, first things: first, i need my scissors girl because, because i hate people say because it drives me insane, but i want to trim off this excess lace in the back. I have seen people outside with this little extra lace on their head, and it is so tragic. So do not forget to cut that lace out the back and then i'm going to go ahead and adjust the straps on the inside as well. I like mine, to sit right beside the comb, so it's normally like a way. You can get it right in there. I have a big head, so i don't need it to be too tight girl. I'Ve been hurting myself all right. So now we have the adjustable strap in the back situated and that's all the prepping we're gon na do girl cuz. I don't have it in me to be bleaching knots today, i feel, like closures are really simple, because you can finesse them to make them look really really good with like minimal work, and that's what i need so first things. First, i'm gon na apply a little bit of my foundation to the lace since we're not bleaching knots. So i'm going to use this elf flawless satin foundation in the color cinnamon. That'S what i use on my face today too. I really like it. It'S super cheap and you can find it anywhere. So it's clutch it's like six dollars and i really really like it. It'S like a nice, medium coverage foundation and it's a natural finish. I'M just gon na apply this to the lace, i'm focusing it mostly around the hairline and down the middle, because i'm probably going to end up wearing a middle part to be real. So now this is what the lace is. Looking like it's giving very much bleached knots without bleaching, the knots i'm sure you guys have seen people use this before it actually even works. When you do bleach the knots just to get the lace to the color, that you need it to be, we have the legs prepped and now i'm going to go in with my hot comb and just kind of push all of the hair back, so that when I install it. Everything is super neat. I wouldn't got mrs wig head, because i'm scary - and one thing i don't like to do - is press my edges on my head. I don't know why, like i will do it. If i absolutely have to like my wig is already on, but if i can avoid it, i'm gon na do so. I had a burn on my forehead in middle school from a marsdale iron, so i'm from chicago and my mom like used to be a hair stylist, so she would curl my hair with, like the stove irons, his nose telling how hot can things be, and i Got burned on my neck, my ears, but yeah, so i have been traumatized so i'm taking a wax stick and i'm going to just apply this to the edges before i press it. I feel like it makes the press last longer, but how are y'all doing? What'S the t, what's the hot gossip? What'S the 4-1-1, i feel, like i've, been missing an action for a week. No, it's been like almost two weeks, i'm working on a series that i'm really excited about and girl. It took me out so this last week i needed a break. I was mostly just focusing on editing the content that i've already filmed and if you missed me, i'm back on the gram, i took a little great from instagram, like i said before, i don't know. If you guys are familiar with my channel, youtube is my main source of income, so i couldn't take a break from youtube like i wanted to, but i definitely can't afford to take a little break from instagram every now and then and not having a post on Multiple platforms really gave me a lot of time to work on myself and different projects, which i love, i'm not gon na put any of the wax stick on the part. Just because i want the hair to be really free-flowing, but i am going to go ahead and press out the hair on this closure, but yeah. I want the hair to be really soft. I don't want it to have that, like i don't know how to explain it. Sometimes, if you use too much product on your lace, it can have a very lacy overlaid. Look and i want it to be very soft of a style. So i'm really only applying the wax on the edges. I'M gon na pluck the hairline just a little bit. So it's not such a straight line. So my wig came with some goodies and i really really need this wig cap. So it came with the wig cap. Love that it also came with this wig grip, some cute little lashes cute little necklace. They always send the cutest little gifts with your wigs. If you've ordered a wig from unite before it's super cute, they always give you some little goodies. I'M not gon na. Do a bald cap method. Today, okay, i have my hair braided and i don't even know how many one two three four five, six seven fourteen braids they're a little a mess. Okay, these aren't even old braids. These are brand new braids, but i braided them with long nails. So don't judge me too hard, so i want to have my lace in the middle and my edges out on the side, so i'm going to give them a little comb out. I might as well curl them while we're here, because y'all know i'm gon na have a little soft baby hair and it may be a little bit more difficult once i actually have the wig on. So i'm gon na go ahead and just curl them now. As a heat protectant, i'm gon na use this john frida frizzies. Just a little bit, i've been going a little overboard with a soft baby hair. I want to make sure i'm putting a little bit of heat protecting on my hair to just act like i'm trying to not have heat damage, i'm going to be applying my wig with this bold hold liquid gold, it's a non-out of there, not alcoholic. Well, it is not alcoholic, it is a, i guess, like a glueless kind of gel almost so it's not a glue um, but it has a really really good hold and it's black woman owned, which is amazing. I really like this product. It lasts a really long time i haven't had to repurchase this and i've been using it for months and it's multi functional. So i'm going to use it to slick my edges back in the middle. Before i go ahead and put my wig cap on i'm trying to be really careful to not get it on the hair that i plan to leave out just so that hair can still be really soft and give me the look that i want with my baby Hairs, but i don't want this hair to be hanging out past the lace. So it's just about finding a good balance for the type of install that you're doing. I didn't braid my hair into the next braid because my hair is really really thick and when i do that, i end up with like a big bulky situation in the back. So instead of doing that, i'm going to go ahead and kind of just cross. My hair across itself and then put my wig cap on that way and it should lay a lot flatter than me trying to like tuck braids and carry it on so alright, alright, alright! So before we install the wig, i'm actually going to go ahead and cut the lace off. So i got the hiccups, i'm going to try to cut it as jagged as possible. I'Ve been seeing people use um like textured scissors, and it seems like it works really. Well, i want to go ahead and see if i can find some, so i can try it that way, but i have a little eyebrow archer on hand. So that's what i'm going to go ahead and use just so i don't get a super duper straight line. When cutting the lace, i try to make it a little bit jagged. So it looks a little more natural and sometimes when you use the razor you get a couple little jagged ends, so i'm gon na go ahead and cut those off. So this is our lace so far and now it's time to actually put the wig on and i'm just making sure that my edges are out where they need to be. I like them to start right where the cap and the lace meet, because this is the hardest place to cover up and that i have a position where i want i'm taking those cones on the side and going ahead and getting that this part secured okay. So i have it pretty much positioned how i want so i'm going to take a little bit of this and i'm going to apply a thin layer and spread it out. I'M making sure to apply a little bit on my wig cap too, because i don't want my wig cap sliding. So i kind of like to apply my wig to my hairline and to the wig cap, with like a thicker layer, not thick as far as applying a lot of product but thick as far as a wide band of product to kind of hold the wig in Place just the card from my wig cap girl is so ghetto, but i want to let it dry and just a little bit. I don't want it quite dry, because then your lace isn't going to stay, but just a little tacky and then i'm gon na go ahead and lay the lace in place. Okay, so so far with no baby hair. This is what it is. Giving i'm gon na apply my little you, nice band and i'm gon na, let this lace melt. While we go ahead and work on the cut and styling the hair, i have to trim these ends. I cannot stand scraggly ends on a wig baby, but i'm not going to cut too much, i'm literally just cutting like an inch off. So i can get a nice blunt cut end and now i'm going to part my hair from the crown down to just behind my ear. And this is where i'm going to start adding in the layers and once i kind of have an idea of what the layers are given, i'm going to go in with my scissors and kind of clean everything up nothing too crazy. Just i want some body in the hair all right, so i have the cut done. I'M waiting on my curling irons to get hot, i'm using a one and a half inch, i believe, or one and a quarter inch curling iron, it's back on there and i'm putting it on 400 degrees. I want it nice and spicy, because i want these curls to last, i'm going out i'm starting to act crazy, because i'm feeling myself, i really could leave the hair just like this, maybe putting a little bit of mousse to exaggerate the waves and kind of clump Them together, but let's say i curled my bangs and left the rest of my hair. Like this, i will be living my life. I actually really really like it wavy, but i've already committed to the curls. So i'm follow through. Let'S go ahead and take this band off and see what we have and it is looking like perfection. I love it, love it love it love it. Should we let the baby hair is now or wait till after we curl it. Let'S just go ahead and do the baby hairs and get that out the way and then using a little bit of the same product, i'm using that product to go ahead and swoop. My baby hairs. Alright, now that we have the baby hairs done, wig laid baby hairs done cut complete. Okay. This is the mare beauty, perfecting complexion, stick in the color buff, it's like the perfect color for my skin tone and i'm going to go ahead and use this on an angle brush to define my part and really kind of hide. This line of demarcation, where you can see where my wig cap starts because it's not cute, i don't like it to bring it all the way up to the front, though i feel like that, doesn't look that great. So i kind of leave like a half an inch to a quarter of an inch in the front with no products in it and then i'm just gon na kind of rub it in. So it's not like sitting on top of the lace, because i didn't bleach the knots i don't need to go in with a darker product to kind of tighten the part at all. It'S not really anything over bleach for me to cover, which is great, and we can go ahead and get right into styling the wig i'm about to run my hot comb back over it, because this side is a little tall, honey whoa! That'S enough! I'M gon na burn myself, i'm over it done. I really want to leave it like this. I really want to leave it like this y'all. I keep looking in my little limbs and baby. I want i like it, but no, no! No! No! No! No! No! We'Re gon na commit because i really want to just put a little bit of mousse and scrunchie and wear it just like this, like i don't know why i'm liking it so much. I think it's because i normally wash my wigs first, so the waves kind of loosen up a bit but because the waves are like so fresh, i like it. I like it a lot, i'm all over the place, i'm rushing to get dressed and film. At the same time, i'm dropping stuff left and right and um pray for me. I love this dog so much he is so cute, but he keeps trying to come over here while i'm filming and if i harm one hair on this expensive, ass dog's head. My cousin is going to kill me and i don't want no smoke, none whatsoever. She is a aries i'd rather not. I would rather not piss her off. I just i just don't know if i was trying to get like a really nice curl. I would pin these up, but i'm actually going for more of like the loose tassel type of vibe girl, but we don't see what it is. Sometimes hair be having a mind of its own okay. So this is the finished. Look i'm going to take a little. I guess like a drop of john free of frizzies and just apply this to the hair, to get rid of any frizziness and kind of loosen the curls a bit. I hope that you guys really enjoyed today's video.
