Replacing A Lace Closure| Wig Maintenance Service For Clients 2022

Hey everyone welcome back to our channel and, if you're new here, thank you so much for tuning in. I also want to welcome all of our new subscribers. We have gained quite a few in the last couple weeks now we're going to go ahead and jump right into this video. I have a wig here that my client sent in for maintenance. I'M going to be doing a lace, closure replacement, i'm also going to be changing the elastic band wash and treat and color refresh, as well as a trim and style. So i'm going to show you guys how i replace the lace closure. You can see here that the closure is balding. She wants a new lace, so we're going to go ahead and make this wig brand new. I'M going to go through some of the steps that i um take when clients send in wigs for maintenance. The first one of the first things that i do is i take the wig out and i examine the wig just to see exactly what it needs for this particular unit. I can see that the wig is very dry um. The color is fading a little bit and i know that i need to concentrate on a treatment for the ends and all that stuff and i'm going to give the ends a trim and we're going to make this unit look brand new cause. Everybody got problems everybody this morning, living my best life and if it isn't at least i gave it my best. Try, i'm just enjoying the moments, cause ain't. No next time trying to slide with my people on the west side, yeah moving different than all the rest cause, i'm by doing a different new vision and no regrets man. I used to be a victim repented of all. My stress now. Excuse me, i'm just fitting and getting it off my chest yet, but even one day we all bob and once you get your shot, just don't turn to a ball hog, putting my team on. If i'm higher we all tall just know. I got your back. If you down, then we all fall, that's lordy baby! That'S right! That'S right! Can'T control it, but that's life! That'S life! Everybody! Okay! So now that the unit is all detangled and i separated the closure piece now, i'm going to start the replacement um part. So i'm going to pin down the perimeter of the closure, i like to do this to keep my wig in place. This helps me to put on the new closure, so i'm going to take some t-pins and i'm going to stick it just all around after i do that, i'm going to cut out the lace closure, so i'm just gon na go all the way around and just Cut it out now i've seen people um, do this and take the new closure and put it in its place. That doesn't seem to work. For me, the closure just doesn't sit right, um, the wig um. Doesn'T you know the wig like it is either too big or the closure is just not sitting in the right position, so what i started to do was take off that last track. That'S what attracts the other! That'S behind the closure. I really started to remove that and i noticed that that works a lot better for me, so i'm going to cut off the closure and i'm also going to cut off that last track. That goes around the closure i didn't show. I thought i was recording when i cut off that last track, but um the camera was not recording, but all i did was after i cut this off. I um took the scissors and i just um, cut out that last track and i just took the t-pins and just moved them back as i was taking that track off okay, so the closure is off as well as that last track. That goes behind the closure, and here i have the new one. The new lace closure that i'm going to be putting on. I braided it down just to get the hair out of my way, so i can see exactly what i'm doing and i'm going to start by pinning down the front. So i'm pretty much putting the closure on the way that i you know do when i'm making a unit. So i'm going to pin down the first two sides and my goal is to get this. You know nice and positioned properly, centered and all that. So i'm going to start by pinning down the first two sides and then i'm going to move to the back of the closure and i'm going to make sure that i am you know stretching that back and pulling that into place. I'M making sure that it's centered and that is sitting right. You know correctly the same way that i do when i'm making a new unit, and this is what pretty much works for me if you've been trying to um, do this and you've been having problems. You know you can give this method a try and see if it works. So i'm just gon na go around it, make sure that everything is sitting right, pulling everything in place, making sure there's no lumps anything that the closure is laying completely flat, and once i'm satisfied i'm going to take my needle and my thread and i'm going to Start to sew that onto the mesh cap, i'm just enjoying the moments because they know next time, i'm trying to slide with my people on the west side, yeah moving different than all the rest cause, i'm by doing a different new vision and no regrets man. Excuse me, i'm just venting and getting it off my chest yet, but leaving one day we all bob and once you get your shot, just don't turn into a ball hog. That'S life! Yeah! It spends time more than we spend cash. You only got one life and they doing fast, but i know you got problems today. Everybody give it up, tell me cause everybody got problems, everybody all right, so the closure is on and then the only other thing i have to do is um sew that last track behind the closure, all right and then i'm going to take the unit, and i'm Going to start the cleansing process, i'm going to clean the hair when i finish cleaning the hair, i'm going to put the color in and then after i put the color in i'm going to condition you know and do my treatments and all that stuff. So now everything is done and i'm going to use my leave-in treatments that i like to use on colored hair and i'm going to start to customize the closure. I have to customize the closure once i do that i'm going to trim the ends and then i'm going to start to define the curls. That'S pretty much going to be the rest of the video um. You can stay tuned if you want to see that process to see how the unit turned out. It turned out absolutely amazing. It looked great. It looked like a brand new unit and um yeah. You know purpose of watching all these videos and stuff like that. So yeah the unit turned out really amazing and um.
