Okay, hey hey everyone into, so I actually have already recorded this video talking about lace, closures and sub-base closures, but it was only up for a little while. So many of you probably didn't even get the chance to see it. I recorded a whole bunch of videos on my channel and some way somehow when I was editing my videos, every single video I uploaded got deleted so um, I'm pretty much recording over for all the videos again, but it was okay because my closure wasn't laid in That video anyway and some people were coming and talking about how they noticed the closure and they can see the closure in yada yada yada. So for everybody who has something to say it's late in this video honey, so sit back home anyways. So in this video I'm just going to talk about the difference between silk base closures and lace, base closures and keep in mind it all comes down to a personal preference. It all comes down to how you want your hair to look what you prefer, and you know things like that, so I am biased, of course, because I, like silk base closures. That'S pretty much all I wear now. If I have the choice - and they last a lot longer than lace base closures to me, so I'm going to show a show over I'm going to show it show I'm going to do a close-up of each closure, because I have a silk one in a lace. One here and I'm going to talk about them. You know up close, as I show you, okay, so first, I'm showing this lace closure here and this closure is actually from a company called best lace closures. I hope that I'm in focus here, so let me try to zoom in a little closer, so you can still see a little bit better. Okay. This is what a lace closure looks like a close and personal okay, it's a transparent type of material. The lace is transparent and it looks more realistic when you see me running my thumb under the lace, okay and so it's very, very flat and thin. This is the other side of it. Okay and usually with lights closures, they come unbleached. The knots come unbleached. So that's something that you have to do on your own, which is why you see the roots of this are kind of orange, because I've tried to bleach the nuts myself and basically screw it up, and so I over bleached them and then some of the roots Turned orange, so that's what the lace base closure looks like okay, this is up-close, okay, and so next is a silk base. This is a sub base closure. Okay, this is the type of closure that I have in my head right now that I'll show you in a second here, as you can see, it's two completely different type of looks here. This looks like a scalp. In my opinion, I mean it looks like the hair is growing out of a scalp. It is not see-through, there's some type of material here where it's not see-through. Okay and then it is kind of the scalp - looks kind of pale as you can see here, okay, and so I like - silk base closures, because it looks like it's growing out of a scalp on the back part here. As you can see, this is still some type of lace, type of material with fabric with it, and so because of that, it's a little thicker, it's just a little bit thicker. Then you know your typical lace closure. Okay, so I hope that gave you a better idea of what the closures look like up close okay, so that pretty much gives you the reason why I choose: silk: base closures, overlays closures. I think that it's a lot easier to blend the lace closures, because it's easier for them to lay flatter the slip base closures, but it's not impossible to blend the sub-base closures, and I found it easier to blend this up best closure. If you leave a little bit of your hair out, I have Anna Silver's closure right now and I think it looks awesome when people you know are up close on your head. If you're wearing a slip base closure, it'll, look like the hair is gone out of your scalp. With the lace closure. You know they can. They can see that it is lace, but that doesn't mean that it's impossible to have a lace closure. You know look realistic, because I've had many lace closures that look realistic, but it's just up close and personal. You can tell that it's lace, so that's that on that, that's why I choose: silk base closures and the first company that ever sent me base closure was my dear virgin, hair company. I fell in love with them after that, and I've been using my dear virgin hair company so base closures and I've used case fab, hair sub base closures. I have then a slip base, closure from Kay's fab, hair right now and then I'll be revealing some hair from my dear virgin hair company soon. So they sent me another sub base closure with those bundles. So if you have any questions that I did not answer or that you feel that I could answer you know just leave them below and I'll be happy to see what I can do about that, but otherwise that's pretty much. It I'll put the information about the two companies that I use for sub base closures below um. So that's why I mentioned that I'll, put all the information about everything that I mentioned in this video below. So thanks so much for watching. If you have any more questions, just feel free and I'll try to answer them the best I can so bye.

InkdUpDolledOut: I totally have to agree with you on this one. Silk base closures are more hassle free in my opinion. The only thing I would say though is that I feel for women with medium-deeper complexions you may want to tint the silk a bit by soaking the top of the closure in tea bag water or diluted hair dye water. There's tons of videos on how to do this here on yt.

T Marshella: Thank you so much for all of your videos!  I've decided to go natural and will be doing sew-ins to make the process a little easier and more bearable.  All of the information you give is very helpful.

Preettycarmel: I don't see what the problem is this video is perfect you were being yourself.. You spoke in the beginning and fell right into it. You didn't get carried away into other things like most people on here you got to the point and stuck with it... Now with that being said that silk base closure looks exactly like a scalp it looks like i could have been looking at the top of your head. This is the first video I watch trying to see which is better and I don't need to watch anymore videos because I learned everything I need to know from you! Thank you

Qurious Beatz: Im mad. I wish I knew there were silk based closures before I bought my lace one saturday. Lace ones arent bad. The last time I use a lace closure for the first time and it looked great for about 2 months. Once you bleach them correctly they blend well. I also hear you can use foundation. I never had to though.

Candi Renea: Silk base is definitely the way to go...You did a good job explaining

MzCydney89: Thank you soooo much! I always knew I wanted silk vs lace but you def sealed any concerns and questions I had! Thanks luv!

Mrs. Sista': thank you for this little sister. silk based does show a more realistic look. your tutorial was just what I was looking for.

Savvy B.L: Thank you so much for posting this video. I had zero knowledge on closures. This was really helpful. How do I decide on the length that I need to buy, does it matter? Btw Your hair is absolutely gorgeous !

sayo_ xo: I'm extremely confused as to why there are soo many haters commenting this is my 1st time watching ur videos and I love the chatty starts, I feel like I get to your personality... I'm actually baffled as to why sooo many people are hating

Anekia Davenport: This was a great video, very informative. I have some questions to ask. I notice that you wear u-part wigs for a lot of your weaves in some of your other vids and your closure lays really flat. Do you think closures lay flat when doing a sew in and if you think so which closure would you recommend using for a sew in?

T.: Hi, great video and your hair was so beautiful! I am thinking of purchasing a silk closure. how long do they typically last? Also, do they work better with a full sew in or can a do a sew in with a leave out? Any tips on maintenance of a silk closure?

Kenya Davis: Okay, so I have to comment. I think you're really pretty and very well spoken. I don't mind you talking, it's a video. You're giving very good information! Let the haters hate and continue to make your money. Stay positive, Queen! :* PS. You just got a new subscriber. lol

Ashley Nicole: First just wanted to say loved the video...very informative...I'm new to you channel and to weave in general...so just a quick question....from the little that I know about closures I have heard there are closures that already come with the part and the free fall ones. Are the silk closures free fall (with no part) or is the part already established?

hollwood fields: Thank I'm about to weave my own hair And yes I like the silk base closure. This video help me alot Your hair looks lovely too

___royalcourt: Hi! Great video. I'd also be interested in see your technique in bleaching knots or helping a closure better match darker skin tones.

Artisha Scott: Hi, I've never used a silk closure only lace. I saw your videos on Kayes Fab Hair and will be purchasing my hair from that company. Do silk closures blend well for darker complexions? Also, since the silk closure is slightly thicker, do they still lay flat as a lace closure does? Thank you, I really appreciate it.

Bluehaze: How does the silk enclosure from either of the companies you listed work with hair from other companies? Or do you purchase the hair as well from them. Also how has laying a deep wave Brazilian silk enclosure been in your're experience? Very curious for my next hair adventure and love your videos.

Sharadon Payne: Love it. Made me go buy a silk base closure. Your hair looks bomb!

Miss954: Totally agree! Silk base closures look much more natural than lace closures... this video is kinda old but where do you guys order from? I need a nice silk base closure wig

Ora Mae: thanks for making this, helps so much!

La Jess: Thank you for this! I thought lace closures were the only type of closures out there

Mschris721: Hi Ambre.. I have been following your vids alot. Very helpful! I got a question. Hope you dont mind. How much do you generally pay for your closure and is shipping free at these companies? Thanks much!

Caroline Deakins: Thank you for showing the up close silk lace. I'm new at this. My hair is thinning fast only need a topper like piece with bangs. This make is perfection. Again, thank you.✌

Bionca Hughes: Hi Amber, I like silk base closure too but they tend to wrinkle /bunch up. Do you have any tips or a video on how to fix that? Thanks!

Quinesha Bentley: Thanks for the video, I'm going to try a silk base closure next. Soooooo helpful

Natural Mumba: How about when you try to customize the silk closure, do you find that it will tear easily or pose some difficulties?

Teena Rose: yes this was very helpful, i love the silk base closure

PrettyBlackHair:  Hi pretty, can you please do a close up of the silk base closure on your head so we can see if it looks realistic?  From far away on a camera it looks great, but would love to see a close up.

Danny: very educational. thank you for posting.

Jasmin Sinclair: Can you do any type of parts you want once the silk base closure is installed ?

Tru2Blu62: Thank you for this video, nicely done.

Lady T: Well I definitely like a silk closure even though it's a little more pricey but it'll last longer looks more realistic so I always go for the silk closure and I also use the elastic band method whoever came up with that idea is genius and a God sent

Renee Fuller: Hi Amber, what density is your closure?

Nicole Burkhalter: This was soo helpful! One question.. What is the name of the company that you got you lace closure from? I don't think I heard you correctly.

Priscilla Wiafe: Love the video, but could you explain if you only used the silk closure for the top part of your hair? Might be a dumb question but I'm new to this lol.

Maranda D.: Nice video! ( as always) very informative...I give u props for answering all these questions you already have videos/answered already, lol

Tiffany-Nicole: I agree with you. I like the silk based closures as well. I have a friend who hates them.

fosterful: Here is my opinion. Regular lace closures stay more flat because it's only one single sheet of lace and not as poofy but the scalp does not look real. Silk base base closure the scalp is realistic looking but it doesn't lay as flat because of the extra silk material plus the lace under that. I'm surprised you didn't mention this. It's personal preference and in my personal experience when a silk base closure starts to shed there is no fixing that but on a lace course you can ventilate yourself. These days I use my silk clouted for special occasions and not. Insistent daily wear to prevent excess shedding.

Mimi Daniel: thank you you really helped me out a lot because I was really lost about frontals

Amileaminute: Thank you so much!!! I needed this information!
