Hey loves destiny here, as you can see from the title, i'm going to show you how to lay and slay your sew in, and yes that includes that closure honey. So this is the braiding pattern that i always use. It'S super beginner friendly and it works for pretty much any hairline. So please pause this video. Take your snapshots. Take your notes, take whatever you need to get this unlocked. So the first thing i do is, i lay my edges, weird right but yeah. I lay my edges because the way my hairline is, if i have no leave out, i cannot use the wefts and make my own baby hairs. It just does not work for me. It looks super crazy. Maybe you can do it. Maybe you want to experiment and try with that, but i have, and it does not work for me so just going to start by laying those edges - and i lay them first mainly because it's so hard for me to like get my edges, how i want them To be when i have like my hair sewn in i, i don't even know how to explain that. But yes, this is how i like them, and yes, i know they laid. I just learned how to do that. Like earlier this year, remember y'all was getting on me about my edges, not anymore, so this is the um nature's best hair food, and i got this in like a beauty shop in brooklyn last summer, shout out to adia who put me on this. I really love this for when i'm doing my braiding patterns for my crochet braids and my sew-ins, i'm taking this all-in-one weaving kit. This is only three dollars yet guys get you one of these. This will have everything you need all tools. You need to successfully sew in your hair, so, as you can see, i took this net and i measured it to the back of my head because the way my hairline is in the back, i never have enough braids in the back. That'S conducive for the amount of tracks i need to have back there, so i take that and i sew that down to just add some more like it'll, give me some more flexibility with how many wefts i can put in, because i have more space more room To like you know, loop, the needle around, if that makes sense, this method works. For me, the way i sew it's very basic, i under sew and then once i get to the end, i um cut the you know the thread a bit shorter and then i tie a knot and then i cut the excess off all right. Renaissance woman bougie on a budget tip number one be resourceful. I cut these two elastic bands off of an old weaving cap and now i'm just cutting off those clips that are on the end and look what i'm about to do. Y'All, just look: it's magic! Voila! Look at this, this contraction is what's going to make my closure extremely flat, i'm not going to have any problems at all, so how you sew this down is super easy and it actually makes sewing the closure down in general just so much easier. I can't believe i used to just go in and sew my closures down without doing this, so, as you can see, i started by just pinning one side down and went in on sewing the other and once you you're done with this side, you go to the Other side, and then you go to sew the perimeter of the closure. It'S it's super easy. I highly highly highly recommend that you do this method. Do not worry. This will not snatch etch your edges, just as long as you sew the elastic band as if it were a track like don't, go and sew it um in front of your braid on your edges. Just you know loop, the needle around the braid and actually lay the elastic band on your braid and don't worry it will be disguised because i will be sewing my wefts over the elastic band and now, as i said before, i'm just going around and sewing the Perimeter of the closure down and guys super flat um, if you want to know how to thread your needle or braid, or how to do anything. That'S not in this video. Please hit that search bar type in what you need and support these other creators and also make sure you're taking notes take screenshots. I feel like these days we get so used to like watching one video and then going to do it and being like okay. I got it or i don't. I don't have it so that blogger then didn't teach me what i needed to do like. No, all this is knowledge for you, so take notes. Take photos um practice, come back to these videos and again support other youtubers videos and like discover what works for you. This is the hair that i'm using is the fabulous hair that i am installing from alley hair on aliexpress. This is their peruvian body wave and i have 28 26, 22 20 and an 18 inch closure, and this is their two toned red ombre. Now i'm just going in and sewing and honestly the process that i use to sew is super quick and i learned it from the africans. What i do is i i fold my weft, so it's like you know it's folded in half and then i take one in and started sewing. So what i'm doing is um double wefting. Every time i sew versus single wefting, and what this does is one. It allows you to put more bundles in and two it cuts down so much on the time that it will take you to sew. And if you do this braiding pattern with this method of folding the bundle, then your sew in will be flat. But if you don't do like a really nice, if you don't have a really nice base, then you will definitely be able to tell that you double wefted. You know the you know the whips as you sewed. I i'm so bad at these explanation. Videos but yeah um, now, i'm just closing um the space between the wefts and the closure um. Every time i do my hair. This is different, so just understand that you'll have to always work with the space that you have and you have to think logical as to what would be the best way to lay your wefts and sew them down. That will close the space between your wefts and your closure and make it flat if that makes sense. So now getting on to the styling, which is my favorite part, i absolutely hate having to do my hair, so sewing is just a dread, but i'm always relieved when i get to see like the beauty of all of my hard work. So i'm just starting by detangling um the hair. I really do like this hair. I don't get a lot of shedding, which is awesome and i've already washed it and just look at how much shine it gets and y'all. When y'all see the end of this video. Like the end results, you're gon na be like damn like that's washed hair yeah, it's not a game. So after i detangle my hair, i um you know parted my middle part, and this is some miracula oil um that i got it's like a little sample that i got. I don't even remember where i got this sample, but i'm taking my lioness beauty, hair straightener and i'm just taking a brush and chasing my hair with the flat iron to get it super flat. Like look at this, i just used oil and the flat iron in the chase method, and it got this hairs once my closure is down tight and flat. I just take some concealer and put it down the part and now what i do to make this look more natural. I take the very front pieces. That'S right next to the part, and i just i don't gel them down as a sideburn. I just take the very tip and like gel it down, if you can see what i did right there, but yeah hairs done hair slayed. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Please give it a thumbs up and comment down below what you think and also don't forget, to tag me in your instagram post and hold up. I forgot that i took this hairspray. This is the got to be glued hairspray and i'm just putting that at the top to make sure those fly. Aways stay down, um but yeah again, y'all are so awesome and i'll see you in my next video peace out. You

Keke Might Ride: Kudos! U have the best method.. I saw one woman who sewed the frontal down.. but that didn’t allow for free parting. I saw another woman who sewn an elastic band that wraps around the whole thing, looked like a good idea but I didn’t want to feel uncomfortable by cutting off the blood supply in my head.. sewing the elastic to the braid seems like a winner. Thanks for sharing!

MILDRED NSUBUGA: finally sth that's worth watching and detailed enough..

Bernice Tukan: Wow. Now I don’t have to panic on who’ll do my sew in when I can do it myself. May God bless you

BeautiNSuccess: Yes girl I use my own edges too.

Precious 1980: I have actually done this waaay before this video largo it's a nice turn out it's not actually new you guys. I always found it easier to do that and sometimes I still cut the band since tension from it be super elastic and pulling against the stretch..but to each his own.

Twana raiford: Wow u make it so easy, I love it imma try that. It so pretty.

Ana Fraser: I tried this method on my client yesterday thank you ❤️

Philomina Enderle: My Goodness girl you nailed it. The end looks amazing! Too bad I live in Germany? Any tips where I could order such great hair online?

Tara Ghebrehiwet: That was the best idea I’ve seen!! Thx for the insight

Shayaaa _: I’m going to get a weave done for the first time and I was wondering if you have a full head of 14inch extensions will it look layered and choppy ( the hair is straight and fine), or would it be a better idea getting some 14 and some 18 so it’s all one length as I don’t want it to be choppy but don’t know if it will be, what do you think will happen ? Great video by the way

Gail Yarbrough: Honey, you are the bundle WHISPERER! I Have a question. What is that tool you're using to lay down your baby hair at the front? I'm trying to learn how to do all of this because my daughter wants me to start doing it for her. Excellent tutorial...!!!!

M.L.R: Thanks for sharing this technique

Nicole Kitty: So smart!!! What a great idea!!!

rAndomgirl32: So, I'm jealous of the edges you have, everyone's edges lay flat and gorgeous but mine do not, I have wonky longish strands that crinkle curl at the edge, and nothing I do seems to work. I brush them down, but my hair won't stay, nothing short of glue and even then, it'll crinkle and look like a really bad lace glue edge. You have very pretty hair, skin and eyes omg! Thanks for the video, you give inspiration to the rest of us that need a lil help figuring it all out.

Ms. Adele Mitchell: That grease is everything. I love it

Nakia Boone: Great tutorial, this was so easy to understand, but I have a question or two. Lol...... if I dont have an old wig , where can I buy the elastic band? And is there a reason why you did not sew in the front to keep it from for sure lifting up?

Mz. Broughton: I love what you did with the straps on the lace frontal. Great job on the hair too

Lisa Faison: One of the best methods I have ever seen so neat and so precise

Dajia Star: I can’t get over how refreshing this was, you are very personal, it was like watching a friend as she teaches you. Great personality, beautiful girl, informative vid!

Trenetta` Brown`: Awesome job.Looks good.

Tiny L: Love it , brilliant idea

Shelby Weis: Good video, learned a lot

Brosia Marshall: How long does this usually last? In comparison to just a normal full weave? like does the closure lift or recede when your hair grows?

Mercy James: this is really nice and very helpful thanks

Mosenie Harpley: Love the video. Clear and easy. Thanks

Abou M: Beautiful

Taylor Denae: Have you ever tried connecting each cornrow into one another instead of braiding each cornrow into one big braid (if that makes sense) ? It will lay flatter! :)

Valeria Johnson: She did great❤️❤️

Sierra LaFaye: I’m definitely trying this

ASOSAVVY: would a regular elastic band work?? or do I have to use a wig cap band? BTW, I love your content!!! new subscriber. xoxo

MissFlorence: You did great!!! How long can you leave your weave in? I absolutely have no experience ‍♀️

Sandra Coulbourne: I never really thought about sewing a band on to my closure to lay it flat that’s a really good idea going to have to try that.

Naty Sidle: Perfeito

Jrex SGOMEZ: Hi, have questions when changing the front closure? How often is the front closure changed, as with sewn extensions 3 months? can you shower, go to the pool with him?

Bianca M: Girl that strap! I would have never thought of that you are awesome. And to do this yourself girl go head

NICKOLIN IS A MONEY MAGNET: You slayed it!
