How To Wand Curl An Old Unit | Unit Revamp | Giveaway Winner Announced

Hey dolls, you want to see how I created this look cute on an old unit. You want to see how I did this well stay tuned. Hey! Does I'm a hot ghetto mess, so you won't be seeing my face as much, but I wanted to take you in when with me on bringing this unit back to life. So what I did was when I say I should have showed y'all the before this unit was a mess, so I had to do a deep conditioning on it and um wash it and let it dry put it under my um blow dry because I needed to Wear it today and I wanted the cap on the inside to get dry right, so these are one. This is one of the units that I've made probably about three years ago, and so what I wanted to do is bring this back to life and wear it. Um for photo shoot and all that good stuff that I'm working on and so yeah your girl is about to bring this back to life, and I wanted to bring y'all along with me um. I get a lot of people asking like how do you keep your units up and all that good stuff? Well, sometimes, you got to bring them just back to life. Okay. This was a 5x5 closure on this unit and it was some loose wave hair super super cute um when I wore it um. I always one curl this hair just because I feel like it gives it a really really cute look, and I kind of I like it. It gives me like The Vibes of her, the Slinger, her or um. What'S my girl, scissor, so yeah, I like the big hair. I really do so. I'M gon na pull her up just a little bit, so y'all could see her a little more, but I just decided. So let me take y'all with me on this. Why don't I work on this unit right so um, I've already detangled and done all the things, and if you want to know how to do that, girl all you do is a million YouTube channels, but I just deep condition and let it sit in some hot Water with my conditioner and let it sit for a long time, probably look six hours because it was just so it got a little tangly and stuff. So yeah products um you well I'm going to use my one curl, I'm using the smallest one that came with it. This one came with a medium sized one and a really big one. Normally I do the big one. When I want big bouncy curls, I don't really want that um Disco around I kind of I want them bouncy, but I want them a little smaller. So I went with this one, I'm putting it on 390.. I might bump it up to four just depends uh, but the first things. First, I want to work on the closure area, so what I normally do for the closure. I make sure everything is nice and straight nice and straight - and I use this stick here and it's just to help with the flyaways and all that good stuff. So I just kind of bounce that down like that. Just a little bit - and I get my hot comb which is around here this - this, the electric hot comb and all I do is just like comb down like that. Just so I can get that parting very straight. That'S my main objective for this right. It'S just to get that pardon straight touched by the Heat and that helps with The Parting and everything and I'm not going throughout the whole unit, because I don't want to straighten it. I want to kind of keep that with a wave pattern. When you keep your wave pattern when you're one curling it, it just helps the curls stay bouncy and all that good stuff. So yeah I'm not taking it all the way down, I'm just hitting it if the crown of the head - and if you don't know I am a licensed cosmetologist girl, I've done work in a shop. I normally focus on units and sew-ins chair. So just call me a weebologist girl yeah, so that's all I'm doing is really just trying to get this top it's flat and straight as possible, so we're gon na have no lumps you know how you see so many uh units in the hair, like they lump Up there: well, if you get that hot comb baby and bring her down you'll, be you see how flat dead and got so far already there yeah? So that's all I'm doing. Let me turn it a little bit. You probably can't see it, and sometimes I use holding spray as well, but I want this to be a soft look. So that's why I use the stick and I just kind of push it out, and I do this at the end too. After I get done doing my one curl, because I want this nice and flat - you see it so yeah, that's all that I'm doing is just getting it nice and flat, and we've got to one curl. Yeah looks pretty good to me, starting out all right. Let me come back around. Let me come back all right y'all, so I got ta be a little riggy because girl, my baby, have been playing with my Combs, my little Clips to clip the hair up, and I don't know where she put my stuff at so your girl got ta. I'M gon na bust it down the middle one side, do one side and work on the round. Normally I do a divide, a four Supergirl and get all my stuff, and I ain't got time. I'M on a time frame a time schedule, honey cause. I got things to do today, all right, so we just putting her over there out the way and I'm gon na work around. So that's that's what my plan is just to kind of work around and normally I start from the bottom and go up. That'S what I normally do, but I want this to kind of flow, a certain type of way, so I'm going to start from around just pick random pieces. Okay, so you might not see everything that I'm doing, but you'll get the gist. You'Ll get the gist. All right so we're just gon na hit that with the comb a little bit just so it's not tangly looking hit there with the comb there you go and I'm curling away from the face and I'm putting a little twist with it. So that's the vibe, I'm kind of going for so I'm going to show you a few of these and then I'm gon na speed it up. Okay, so yeah, you see that look. How pretty that is. I absolutely love it. So I'm gon na do that. All around and like I said, I'm just grabbing pieces. If I need to hit it with the comb, I will and I'm curling away from the head and I'm doing a little twist with it. Okay, we're just bringing this baby back to life honey and hold it for a good 10 seconds, pull her down. That'S how we doing a girl all right, so we're gon na do this all around here and then we're gon na start on the other side. But I'm gon na scoot, you guys I was hoping - maybe empty-handed, I'm cold. What you are passed me back, so I am finished curling curly suit. We gon na call her honey, since I need these small curls on her very bouncy, really really cute full and yeah girl, so we're gon na spray, her just to hold, and I'm just using candy and I'm going to just spray her down from the holding spray. Let her sit for a little bit and then I'll put her on and styler, but yeah that's bringing this unit back to life. That'S how you can bring a unit back to life, just putting some curls in it deep condition: curl flatten that top back out play with your closure. You might can repart it. You know you can do some different things just to bring your units back to life. Girl we want to wear these uh wow, yep protective style, all right I'll, be back, hey pretty girls, so I know I told y'all. Let me slap back a little bit, so I am throwing on this unit. All I did was play with my baby hairs through all my stock cap. My hair is braided back in one braid girl. Your girl ain't got time for all the braids, so here's the units, let's see how she looks. I haven't tried this long, so y'all gon na see this with me. So let's see, let's see what she looking like. This is okay, curls for the girls put my comb please, so she always slide to the left slide to the right, all right, all right, perfect! Now I don't think I'm going to really calm her out and look into the mirror too. Take it right behind my hairline. I don't think I'm gon na calm her out right off of my finger, her just a little bit, but I want the curls to really drop on their own, just a little just to lose some because you know I like big hair and that's all I'm gon Na do is just kind of pull it with my fingers, not too much, I'm not going to comb out, because I want the curls to last for a while. I really want them to last, so it took me about 45 minutes to an hour to curl. I know it looked fast, but it took a good 45 minutes to an hour to curl these put these curls in my head and it just brought this unit back to life. You know so, if you have some old units around pull them out deep condition them um Put a Little Love with it. I might put a little bit of oil on my hands and just put it in there, but other than that. That'S it and I say: bring your unit back to life girl bring your unit back to life. I think you will thank me later, but yeah bring some real old units out girl, I'm trying to save a coin. So let's bring your old units out and let's really show them a little love. I call these investment pieces anyway. So when I spend money on hair baby, it's an investment piece. So three year old hair brought back to life.
