Yo, what's going on guys, DJ's here wanted to bring you guys a video on how to lace up your Jordan flies with the lace lock. I know a lot of people, don't use the lace locks on the Jordan flies they they just don't like them, because they're kind of too big of a hassle, I wanted to show you a couple different ways to lace them up. One of them. I actually was just messing around with that. I kind of like sort of pseudo discovered, as I was lacing them up with these, because actually I found an extra pair of waxed black laces on a different pair of my kicks. So I wanted to give him a try and I wanted to just lace them up with a lace lock, and I figured I'd give it a try like this. I know it looks kind of weird or maybe it looks okay and you doesn't really care. I don't know this is just one of those videos there's so many Jordan fives in rotation. Now, between just this last year, there there was at least a dozen colorways of yarn fives that came out, so I figured a lot of people might have gotten their Jordan fives for the first time, and it was one of those questions I had when I first Started wearing my fives, which wasn't too long ago, to be honest, the tokyo's were my first fives I ever wore, and I didn't know really quite how to Laysan because of the lace locks were so weird, and this is kind of the factory way to lay some With the lace lock you just kind of cinch it down and then tie the knot over top of it - and I thought you know it kind of looks a little bit funky to me, not a big fan of it. The way it kind of looks nice chairs squeaking earlier how it looks like this, and sometimes I would rather have it just a factory lace or whatever, with no lace lock, while we're I'm casually. But the thing is, I like the idea of the lace lot, because it's kind of an x-ray little accessory that we get on the Jordans and it kind of kind of make it a little bit fun. So I'll show you guys a couple different ways that I thought would be neat to lace them and especially the way, especially the way that I just kind of found out. But this is like a Jordan v, the fire Reds that came out more recently and you can see the lace lock. This is a stock lacing of how the shoe comes now. Downside is, I don't know necessarily how they they're they're supposed to be worn to be quite honest, because there's so many different ways to to wear this lace lock the way they have it factory lace, it's upside down like this. So are you supposed to flip it upside down this way and then and then lace it through the top lace, I'm not really sure what their intent is or even if it doesn't matter - and some of you guys are like - why are you focusing on lace locks? It'S such a stupid, but if you're one of those people, then don't watch the video because the whole title, the video is lace, locks but put anyway so, but it makes me wonder how they're supposed to it now. My my thought is that this is the intended way. You lace it through the top layer area right here you go through the top, then you throw the lace lock on over the top, and then you just tie it or whatever. Now what I wanted to try differently was was with these guys, these I'm sorry! These guys are here. I wanted to try them with the lace lock before you go through the top to through the top area. So I'm going to take this out right here. Real quick here here and show you, like my thought process was this so as instead of going through the top first like what these ones are done, they go through the top, and then you put the lace lock on. I figure you put the lace lock on. First and go lace lock through this side and then put it the laces in and then it's so it's kind of upside down like what they show you and then you can go ahead and put it through either inside-out or the other way where you go right Here or inside-out this one, so you go through in and out or you go outside in and then push through this way and then go to the top. So there's two different really ways to finish: the lacing depends on the model. Sometimes I saw the Jordan threes like I kind of go with the other way. I think then, on this, but and then you kind of just have the lace lock side with a camera right there right there like that, and the lace lock is in place and it's a little bit lower. I guess - and it would be on this one, but not by much and then my thought process is you just tie it on the top? Now you can also do the the top lace, the other way, if you have enough wiggle room and that your laces are short or whatever, and if you like, just sometimes I like to just casually like leave my laces out like that, just like not have them. Cinched up, so you could do it that way as well. If you can find enough wiggle room in the rest of these laces, so it's not too frumpy, and then you haven't flipped down like that, so it would be really loose and then have the lace lock. On like that, so it's just an extra option. I guess if you wanted to wear them casually, but leave a comment. Let me know what you guys think. Do you guys even care about lace, lock, sort or is it something like for me? I think they're cool. I think that it's a knee little addition to the Jordans that that you have it's fun to be off lace, locks on old Jordans. This is again kind of what it would look like tied up if the way that I just laced it with the lace lock on the lower half but anyway, nothing too crazy. I just figured I'd share with you guys kind of my little discovery here of lacing them like this. I thought it looked a little bit better than this method, but some of you guys again might not even like the lace locks at all - and I have talked about this in the past. But again, Jordan flies a real big item in 2013. Is it and so yeah just kind of an interesting little little topic? Jeremy Grooms: Real dumb. The lace locks are simply supposed to be "the knot". You're not supposed to tie them or tuck them back in your shoe after they come out the lace locks. You thread the laces through the bottom eyelet of the top lace bracket about twice to make the lace ends shorter, and what's left of the lace should be about 2 inches or so after you put them through the lace locks. Then just let the ends hang out the front of the lace locks. If I could post a pic of a pair of mine to show, I would.
