(No Bleach) | Supernova Hair Review | Burgundy Hair + 6X6 Lace Closure | Honest Review

Hi guys my name is nisha lejay and welcome, or welcome back to my youtube channel. So today i am going to go ahead and go over this unit that i have installed. The unit is from supernova um, so disclaimer. I ordered this unit. I want to say six months ago, but i'm barely getting around to installing it um, just because i'm very i'm very stuck in my waist and i don't know what i wanted to do. I didn't know what color i wanted to do. I didn't know if i wanted another bob. I didn't know if i wanted something long, so yeah, i'm. Finally, here uh giving you guys this video um, like i said i stated this is from supernova. I ordered the unit through the actual website, because i do know they also run off of amazon. You can also run you can also order hair off of amazon and receive the same type of quality um, depending on when i need it or how i need to buy. That'S the determining factor. If i order off of amazon or not um excuse my packaging. It'S everything is kind of ghetto right now uh, but it came in this box here and it just has the name on it: a pink box, as you can see so inside the box, just gon na throw that over there inside the box um they give you A wig cap, however, i never use the wig caps that come inside of um any of the hair companies that come from china just because they always seem to give me something for like a light skin girl and i'm pretty much dark skinned so uh. As far as wig caps, i always order my wig caps online go ahead and put the wig caps that i use down below in the description bar. So you guys can um. So you guys can get those if you like, also i'll, go ahead and link down um supernova's information if you wanted to shop directly from this wig um. So also, what comes inside of the box is a little. What is this called um? It'S a scarf to protect around your edges. If you wanted to do the whole baby, hair look or if you want to actually mold down your wig, so that scarf came also, and then i thought this was really cute. It comes with its own satin bag that you can store your wig in um, because i don't know if you know me, you know i throw my wig anywhere like i'm horrible, at that i literally throw my weight anywhere and i don't know i need to start Taking better care of my wigs, so i am forever grateful of this, so the wig was packaged. The weight came packaged in this bag and i'm on the plastic bag. It just had the cap size, which is a large. I have a big eyes head. The peruvian hair is what my preference was and my hair density was 80 and this is a 6x6 uh lace closure. So, as far as the hair, the hair came um, not the hair came at its original state, which is brown a very dark, not a dark brown like a a natural brown color um. However, like i said it before, i did not know which color i directly wanted to go uh, so i kind of just sat on the wig uh. I recently decided to you know: let's take it out, dyed it so yeah. I end up coming with this beautiful color um. I don't know if it's wine, i don't know if it's burgundy, i mean wine and burgundy. Pretty much are the same thing. It pretty. Much is the same thing so anyways. I really love the color um, the length of it is 24 inches and like this is one thing i love about supernova, because their lens is true to size and i always cut my ends because i don't like when my ends are straggly, so it goes down To my the bottom of my back when i stand up and i'm 5'7 so so yeah, the hair is really her. Hair is really nice um. I i'm sorry, i don't have any photos of it um in its original state. However, if i do find some, i will link them to this video um yeah. When i dyed the hair um, i didn't, i didn't wash it or anything before i dyed it ghetto i didn't wash it. I just i was like you know: imma go for it. Uh trial and error - i didn't know what color i wanted. I don't know is i wanted to do a burgundy uh. This is something very new to me. I'Ve never had color, i'm always a jet black type of girl. So i'm very you know, i'm very excited about you, know the results and how this hair turned out. Um more details on the die i used. I went to sally's my local. Well, not my local beauty supply, but i went to sally's and i picked up a 30 develo uh, 30 developer and the l'oreal true highlights. I bought two colors about two different colors. I bought the color red and the color magenta. So i think when i first started off, i bought two red and two magenta, so i had in total of four colored eyes. I will also insert pictures of the developer and the die for reference, so you guys can know what i'm talking about. What i did is, i did not follow the directions at all um i kind of wished. I could could have. Did the uh watercolor method on this wig, but i couldn't because well i don't know well, i didn't really try, but i just knew that this hair was a darker color and the watercolor method seems to only work on lighter color, hair, so uh what i went Ahead and did was i just mixed the two i mixed, two colors together and i put in maybe half a bottle of cream developer yeah, i put it half a bottle of the 30 developer into the bowl, stirred it until i got like a thick um paste. Um not too, it wasn't too thick, but it wasn't watery and then i applied it on the wig. So i'm dying with filming and dyeing hair is very difficult, so i'm getting used to the whole youtube and filming so yeah bear with me um. However, it was kind of difficult, but what i did was um. I tried to section it in little pieces and try to coat as much hair strands as possible because i, like i said i didn't - want it too red because i was nervous um and then now when i was dyeing the hair, i thought it wasn't red enough. So that is also another um mistake i made. If you don't, want your hair, a vibrant red do not leave your dye on for more than an hour. I think i left my hair, my dye on for about an hour and a half, and i was like terrified because i did not want a bright red, um, so yeah. I think i did like an hour and a half. I honestly would have done 45 minutes to an hour to get the preferred color that i would like so yeah. I did that um and it turned out really great sorry. I have lipstick on and i have uh lip gloss on. It turned out really great, and this is the color that i came out with, so i really really love the color. I really really think it's really really vibrant. It'S something new for me, yeah and plus, like my social media, was going crazy when i posted the pictures, so i'm glad they like it because there's something new and i with it um yeah, so more details about the hair uh, like i said it's a 24 Inch wig uh, peruvian straight uh. I love proven shade. That'S the only hair texture that i get um from supernova other than their uh, their body wave. They have a nice body wave, also um, but yeah, so i'm not really big on the baby hair. So i tried to do a little baby hair situation here. Uh some try to do a little swoop a little but yeah like i said it's a six uh six by six closure, so it goes basically from here to back here. I i started off wearing lace closures, i mean we all started off wearing four by four lace closures and then i eventually uh drifted off to the 5x5, the 6x6 um and then like the 13 by fours um. But my favorite has to be a six five. Six lace closure, just because i don't feel obligated that i have to glue or secure my wig from ear to ear and plus i have a big eyes head and sometimes they just don't fit correctly. So, like i really i really love it. The lace um. I went through this hair went through a lot like the lace really held up on the hair. This hit like, if i could tell y'all like this hair, went through vinegar. It went through vinegar and hot water. It went through color, oops uh. This lace went through a lot and so like the quad, like i didn't, get any breaking of the lace and tearing on the lace like the legs held up wonderfully um. I did say how, when i was uh bleaching, my hair, when i was dyeing my hair, i did get red stains inside of my lace closure, but that's because i didn't take the proper uh procedures to protect the lace. But i was able to remove most of that out with color oops um color boobs really didn't work for me when i tried it i'll put a picture up here. I'Ve seen multiple good stories about color oops. It just didn't work for me. So what i went ahead and did was, i seen a video of someone trying um apple cider, vinegar on hot water, so i just literally didn't even measure pour some apple cider, vinegar in the boiling hot water and then left my closure in there. For about 30 seconds - and i was dipping it in and out - and then that gave me the most um that gave me the most results as far as the dye bleeding out of my lace um, the hair the hair does shed - i am not even gon na Lie: i'm not going to sugarcoat uh supernova ain't sponsoring and even if they were i'm still gon na, give it to y'all raw uh, the hair sheds every hair sheds uh. If they say it doesn't shed, it still sheds. I have red strands everywhere and that's probably because i said it like: i dyed this hair like i've dyed this hair, i think twice yeah. I done it twice just because the color oops messed uh bring me more browning browning in my hair and brassiness, and so after we dye it uh and so like this hair went through two procedures of dyeing and it's been through a lot, and i didn't do Any deep conditioning um i had somewhere to go, i had somewhere to be so i didn't do any deep fidgeting. I just put a little curls in it and i'll put the picture here. I'Ll put a picture here of my hair with curls. I really didn't put any much thought into it. This is at the actual first day that i did something with my hair and i've had this hair in my head now for about a week, and this is the experience that i've had so far. I don't get tangling, however, the hair does get dry um and it seems to get more dry at the ends to where it wants to start kind of tingling, but it doesn't actually tangle. So i think i'm gon na go pick up some kind of um oil treatment for my hair. Other than that i really love the hair. Supernova has really good quality when i usually get any type of natural or jet black hair. The hair is amazing um. I'M expected for this wig to last me anywhere from three to four months three to five months. That'S just because that's how i take care of them so yeah!
