Hey Revamped Dolls, I am mostly a self-taught stylist. I graduated Paul Mitchell School of cosmetology in 2015 but I started doing hair way before getting my license. Videos on YouTube have aided me in my journey towards becoming a successful stylist. I simply would watch and practice till I got it right. So it was only right that I went ahead and purchased my own sewing machine and practiced this next level skill of wig-making. I have not mastered the speed and accuracy yet but I thought I would share my first attempt with my Revamped Dolls. In this part of the video I show you how I make my lace closure wig look natural :- )

What'S up y'all welcome back to part 2 of my wick making show-and-tell. I showed you guys in my previous video that I made it with a sewing machine. Brother sewing machine and I doubled my tracks with this sewing machine as well. So that's what travels like singled and the trap on the bottom is doubled, and I did this with a sewing machine. So let's get into the wig already being constructed and I got ta make it look natural. So this is part 2. It'S gon na be the unit install and I use my model to knock her to go ahead and get this thing pop in her head. Size is a 22 to large, so I think the law would have been a better fit for us, but um. I wanted to show you here what happened when I tried to tear off my plastic: normally it rips right off, but because of the zigzag stitching in between each partial portion of the cap, it didn't come off, so I had to literally use my scissors and cut Little square holes in the cap, so that was not cool, but you know I made it work, so I'm gon na try to figure out what I'm doing wrong, but let's get into and what there goes. The MS portions that I cut out so yeah we're gon na figure out probably to rip off the plastic before using before sewing on the cap. Maybe I don't know but yeah so once the wig is finally constructed, whether by hand or by sewing machine. It'S time to customize this lace, closure wig and make it look natural first thing you do is section up the first portion of your lace, closure and plug what you do is you want to leave a strand to space strand to space so that way it has A natural density in the front, so you don't want it to be too thick. So when you have that strand space drive a strand space, look, it gives you that nice baby, hair appearance and hair line that is not as harsh as it needs to be. So, as I see, the density of the hair line has been reduced to a more natural kind of density for the hair line area. So once it looks more like this, you can now begin to start plucking, the back portion of the lace closure. I always wet. My lace closure before plucking and try not to part where the center part is located. I mean try not to pluck where the center part is. Otherwise, it's going to look awkward, so just pop just pluck away from these scents apart if possible, and keep on you know reducing that harsh line on the back portion as well. This is going to let it look really good when you comb the lace closure back or of the wind blown. It'S not like a harsh line so once I'm done with that, we're gon na go ahead and move on to placing it on my models head all right. So what you need to do now is cut off the extra piece of lace on your lace. Closure. You don't want to have this extra piece, it's not necessary, so once I've cut off you go ahead and place it on your models head so like I was saying she is in between a medium and a large, so I think it would have been bested, though Big Ninja goes small because this cap was kind of tight in my opinion, for her head size, I would have preferred to give her a larger sort of a medium, but if it okay, so you know you made it work for the video and, as you see All her braids are showing and it's fully breathable the cap is fully fully breathable, so I'm just a little bit of mousse to lay down this lace, closure area and I'm just trying to get everything to lay flush. So I have a little bit about to be blue, gel and blasting free spray, just to lock my lace closure in place right where the hairline ends, because you don't want your real edges to show with this type of lace closure. You want to create your own baby hairs with the lace closure. So that's what I'm doing here. Hence the reason why I would prefer the cut to be just a slightly a bit bigger because we had to use a got to be glued gel to just keep it from sliding back, but if it was her real head side or the correct head size cap, I wouldn't have to use the gel to hold that cap in place. I did so this wig on her head and I sold on to the ankle brace right where the lace closure is as well. You go ahead and pluck the parting area just to make it look like scalp like flesh and that's what we're doing here, block that line not too wide. I would say about two dots in-betweens. I don't do more than two, not three, not three dots and with mostly two dots in width or two square pieces, whatever you want to call it in which get your flat iron and but iron that hair make it sucky smooth piano and yeah. So I noticed that this lace closure wasn't really her actual scalp color. So I went in with her actual color foundation color and just placed it on top of the lace closure. If you are a light-skinned or fair-skinned and are using this type of lace, go ahead and use your foundation color to lighten it up, because it is pretty dark, so you can change the color even if it starts, but that's the final results. Lace closure installed. I'M loving the hair, the hair will last a while. It'S not synthetic hair. It'S the abuse applies for hair and you have mission accomplished so a machine unit. Blunt Bob aka love, I love it. It came out perfect and I'm definitely gon na try this again. Thank y'all for watching, don't forget to rate comment and subscribe and I'll see you on my next video peace.

Brandi Gilstrap: Great video. When you sew with ventilated cap use a straight stitch instead of zig zag. It will allow you to remove plastic easy.
