Easy Simple Sleek Ponytail On My Mom ❤️ Ft. Nadula Hair

Hey y'all, what's up and welcome back to another hair video girl, so today we are being sponsored by nadula hair and they sent over so many goodies. I have so many things to show y'all. I believe this is like a foundation brush or something that you can powder your lace with. We got some lashes, a bonnet. They sent me a headband and a wig cap girl. We got every thing we need in this bag for the next 15, 000 hairstyles anyway. Y'All know, i love me a good dust bag and they also sent me a ponytail. So this is a ponytail video. I'Ve never done a ponytail before and y'all know. Of course i had to use my model, my girl, my mommy, okay, so i'm starting right now. Just blow drying her hair because i knew whatever style we decided to go on. It had to be kind of semi-straight, so i just went ahead and used the round revlon brush on her hair. It only took us about 15 to 20 minutes to do her hair. I just want to show y'all that this is the kind of texture that i was going for for this look. I didn't want it too straight, because i didn't want anything to pull on her hair too much, so i had to leave a little bit of a coarse curl to it and right here, i'm just parting. Her hair ma'am couldn't decide where she wanted her part to be so. We spent forever just trying to figure out where to part her hair, so we decided on a swoop mid pony. Is that what we call it like a mid way up, pony um, and so i'm just flicking her back edges back because you got to get them little naps in the back the little cookbooks. So i'm smoothing that out and then we're going to put her hair in the ponytail in sections, because i wanted all of the hair to be smooth and nothing to be pulling. Tension was really important for me because i know that her hair is kind of finer around the edges and i just really really didn't want her to lose any um extra hair because of pulling also the only two products or three products that i used was the Mega hole spray that you guys just saw me use some edge. Control that i will link down below and a little bit of got to be got to be can be really strong for my mom's hair. So i didn't want to use a lot of that, and i also didn't want to use gel because she wasn't keeping the style in very long. She was just gon na keep it in for a day. She was on the sunday fun day, so um yeah. Those are the only things i used because i didn't want to wear her hair down, but i also wanted it to get nice and slick. So that's why i went with the products that i chose so here i am just molding the ponytail into kind of like a mid high bun. I didn't want it too high and i also didn't want it too low in the back or she didn't should i say um yeah and i'm still making sure i take care of her edges. This is the mega hole spray that i was just talking about. It'S lightweight and it doesn't hold tension on your hair, like godzilli, does like got to be, makes your hair really stiff and really hard, and i didn't want to do that for her hair. So yeah, that's the mega hold and that's her little happy dance she's. So stinking cute - i love this lady, so much so now for the swoop y'all. The swoop was the hardest thing to do, and i realized i don't know if it's just our head shape or what, but we just can't do. Swoops, like a traditional swoop, isn't working like. Maybe i just need to work a little bit harder or figure out another method to do a swoop, but yeah. When i tell you it was so hard to mold her hair into a swoop. That'S when i use the uh got to be only to keep the spoop held down, and then i have to put bobby pins in it on top of that. So if y'all know what magic these hairstylists be using to get the swoop to be swooping, please leave it in the comments down below, because i need to know or tag somebody that i can go. Watch that video on how to do this with, because my swoops ain't sleeping so as you've just seen, i just braided her hair into two little bitty um braids, so that i can wrap it around so that we have an anchor for the ponytail y'all. This is my first time ever coming across a ponytail like this, so basically it's kind of like a head piece like it almost looks like a closure with a comb on it. So you just put the comb inside of your anchor your ponytail, wherever you want to put it at, and then you wrap the hair around literally oh and it's a velcro attached to the hair. So it's crazy. It'S like double secure. If that makes sense, you velcro the hair, that's what i was doing right here and then you just start wrapping like a normal ponytail. So that was very interesting. I had never came across that before, and i did use got to be for this process too. Just because it's not my mom's hair and i did want it to be secure, i know how she's gon na be dancing in the club or whatever or at the bar. So i wanted it to be secure and not fall off, and this was the final product. I put some wine curls in it and she looks so cute. I wanted her waves to pop because the ponytail did have waves and you can't tell me that's not my mama hair anyway.
