Lace Frontal Sew In Maintenance | Start To Finish | Presidentiallilly ✨

Hey y'all, it's your girl, presidential lilly, your favorite lily, and we are back with another video in today's video i'll, be giving you the full step-by-step on how i do maintenance for my lace, frontal sew-ins! If you're interested on seeing how i work my magic with the lace, then keep on watching you and me so the other day. This is how my client came to me for her lace, maintenance appointment. I was actually really shocked to see the state of the lace, but i had to realize we were currently a month and a half out from her original install date. I always recommend to book lace, maintenance appointments two weeks apart. The max is three weeks as for today, i'll be taking you through my steps on freshening up the lace. Since i work from home, i don't have a bowl to work in, but i have another bowl to work out of and it gets the job done. My first step in this process is removing the lace softening up any areas that haven't quite lifted, yet i'm taking the warm water and rag from my bowl gently dabbing it on the lace. This is how i remove all my lace installs, including ones done on myself. In my opinion, this is the safest and easiest way to break down the lace glue. Now i want to also note that my client used glue in between her appointments, which is something i don't ever recommend because you'll end up how she did in this video here with glue all in her edges, i recommend using all glueless methods like the ors rig Gel or got to be free spray. There are many other brands who have great gels to sub glue, such as bohold and erika. J oil is also a main ingredient to breaking down lace glue and is clear with the layers from the original install and the ones. My client applied herself that i was going to have to use both methods to remove this lace safely and efficiently to save her edges, i'm just taking the oil, applying it to the lace, massaging it in and off camera. I dabbed it with more water. Then i let her sit for about 15 minutes. Once those 15 minutes were up. I was able to safely remove the lace. She still got all her edges, y'all, okay, baby, i care so much for my client's hair. I treat it like it's my own and i put so much love in each touch, so you always want to make sure even you removing your own wig, make sure that you take your time to properly remove it. So you can keep all your edges, because this is what there's this is what we wear them for. We wear them to protect our real hair so right here. What i'm going to go ahead and do is remove the original ball cap and then just cut it off. Once i have the cap removed, i'm going to take the same damp rag in some fresh hot water, and i'm going to begin to remove all the little crummies from her scalp her skin right there we're just going to remove it, be very gentle with this, but We'Re going to remove all that stuff and we we're going to clean her all the way up. We going we going to get her straight. We don't get it right. Y'All yeah i'll probably be stressing my clients out, but if i see anything different or slightly like you know, a change with my clients here or anything like that i'll be having to ask questions because i need to know, was it me or was it you? Was it me was it you know something? It was you because it wasn't me all right, but let's get back to it. Okay back on the serious note what i'm doing after i get all those glue crumbs out of it out of her skin and hair, i'm going to go ahead and take my time and shampoo, her edges up, okay and shampoo that skin we're going to finally give It a break we're going to give it a good break. We want to clean that area up so that we may we may relay the lace and it's safe to relay the lace down. You don't want to relay the lace on any dirty hair, any dirty scalp. So take your time scrub your client's, scalp right there, it's going to be very soothing. They come to relax so make sure that you you give them all that they can get out of it. Okay and i'm just still gon na take my damp rag and gently. Remove all the shampoo out of it. This is something i've done for years. It'S not harmful to your edges. Your edges will not be in the rag. If you do this properly, everything should go as planned, but i'm going to continue to just wash your edges and come back when i'm finished. Now that i washed her edges, i'm just going to take that same oil, which is my hot sticks, oil and just place that all in her hair and her scalp and on those edges and a little bit on her skin to nourish her skin as well. Okay, so now that we've tackled the skin edges area, we have to tackle the actual lace. We have to get her clean and again i'm taking that same rag. It is damp with some water, but i also drenched this in some 91 alcohol and with the lace already being wet for me putting placing oil and water on it. The glue is really really easy to remove. The alcohol is just going to help me get the first initial layers of oil off the lace to help me out a little bit. So now i've went off camera. I have placed her tracks in the back into four groups and i have sat there and i washed her frontal and washed her hair in the back um, and i did all this off camera because i just really wouldn't be able to give you guys. A nice and good angle of me washing her hair, so once her hair is completely washed. I'M just taking my fantasies, shining, serum, silking, serum and just applying just dom size amounts to each group and making sure that i evenly distributed throughout the wet hair is once i have the serum evenly distributed through all throughout all the hair. I'M just going to place her under my hooded dryer for about 30 minutes and once those 30 minutes are up. This is what she's looking like she's actually really completely dry. So this we're just going to go ahead and get into relaying the lace and all that good stuff and, as you guys can see, the lace is super duper, clean and nice. Looking okay and i'm just going in with my hot sex oil again and just applying that through the um parts of her braids as well, just making sure that i got her all good okay, we want to make sure her. Scalp is very much comfortable, very much clean and very much put to life, hydrated, okay and then i'm going to take my ors or my olive oil, hair, gel wig gel and just start to slick her edges back to prep her for her ball cap is on My mind now that you have all those edges backing out the way you're going to go ahead and apply your ball cap cut those ears out. I'M going to take my bow, hold active lace, glue and begin to do my bobcat method, making sure i tightly line up my client's, hairline y'all got ta, know, y'all got ta, know it's the method. You know it's the one it's the one i always use like y'all, i'm like from here y'all already know the methods i'm using i've been cooking. This and kicking this to y'all for about three months straight four months straight really, some years all right but y'all got to know the method, we're taking that boho we're tightly lining the hairline and we finna get it started, and the next thing we're gon na do Is take our time and apply some makeup. That'S the same skin tone as my clients. Well, actually we're going to sew the new cap down. First then we're going to cut the excess. Then we apply the lace. I mean we apply the makeup, but y'all get it y'all get it y'all. Finna watch me do it. Y'All i already know is. This is something that i love to do, which is before i lay the lace back down i'll, go ahead and just take my hot comb and how come all the hairs back. I do this because my clients is scary. Y'All, like i love all my clients to death, some of them have been coming to me for four plus years, so the relationship that we have it's, okay, that i'm like flaming them real fast but they'd, be so scary y'all. So i like to take my time during my maintenance, installs and hot comb. The hair before i lay the lace down. This just helps me make sure that no hair is getting the glue. I can see what i'm doing and all that good stuff working on a weekend like usual way off in the deep end. Like usual swear, they passed us they doing too much. Haven'T done my taxes, i'm too turnt up virgil got a paddock for my risk on us caught me slipping once, okay, so what alcohol on the cotton round and clean off the skin really good? I use cream foundations cream foundations are oil based. So you want to make sure that you take your time and clean the skin, really really good of all any oils in makeup, and i also took my walkers tape, skin protectant, to go ahead and further make sure that the skin is protected and all that good Stuff from the lace, so she has any allergic reactions. The skin protection will help. You know protect her from that and i'm just going to go ahead and begin to lay my layers of glue. Y'All know the drill like y'all really know the drill. I don't even have to go and dip into this or about this is okay, things just start going downhill for me um. So i was using my camera. I usually never use my camera for any hair videos, but i want to start. I want to transition into using my camera more often because if i can produce videos in higher quality, why not be doing it? I'Ve been having my camera for a year now, and i've probably used it all about three or four times for videos so um with. That being said, i do not know like what said and what i accidentally did to make the camera start recording darker like this, but i couldn't do anything with those other clips with me: styling the hair and finishing off, laying the lace. But here is the finished product of the look. I took this video on my iphone. Her hair was 40 inches at first, but we cut it down to this nice shoulder blunt lob. It was very nice. Y'All know how i do i'm always going to give you guys a nice flawless natural install every single time. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Please give this video a thumbs up and go ahead and subscribe. If you haven't already look at the baby hairs. Just look at the look is just so clean and precise. I loved everything about this look, i love the transformation and i hope you guys do too you you
