Oh, you you're everything that I see. I want your hot love and emotion endlessly. I can't get hey y'all welcome back to my channel. So today I'm gon na be talking about something that came in one of my favorite boxes that I like to receive in the mail and that's my wife, African box, okay, so um this past month. I think I went and I got myself a silhouette. I'M still very, very happy with my hair, because installation was done by a professional y'all know who she is so anyway, so um. The one thing that I was not sure that I was going to like was the kind of closer that I received. I liked the closure that I had is very very natural, but I did have some doubts about it because I wasn't used to it. So when you get your packages from well African, they come in these little bags that keep the hair nice and protected during shipping. But instead of talking about bundles and hair, I'm going to talk about closures. I have in my hair now a still face closure, I'm more familiar with lace closures, because I'm just more familiar with lace. Here is the basic difference between the two closures. This one, of course, is so face, and this one is laced and we're going talk about the lace closure first cause it's the one that I'm most comfortable with and I'm most familiar with, no matter how many of these bad boys I have destroyed in my lifetime. Coz, yes, I hate, so here's your lace closure. This lace is called twist lace. What that means it's as strong and durable, and it's also very, very, very stocked. Okay, so like when you get the beauty, supply, store, closures are kind of rough or, if you've ever gotten synthetic wigs, and you notice that the lace on the synthetic wigs is like plastic. Basically, I think that's called French Lee. I don't know what this this outer edge right here. This is basically where you secure it down when you're sewing, so when you're installing the wig. This is where you put your stitches in. You don't want to put your stitches right here because it get rip and tear and you don't want to rip n. Take closure. Closers are not cheap see. I can still see me, that's because it's transparent and you can also tell that these knots are not bleached. If the knots are bleached, obviously you would be succinct scalp. You would not be able to see these knots right here. This kind of grid screen door effect would not be there if you're not sore bleached, and you can always request to get your nuts bleached. If you are not comfortable, I would definitely recommend getting your knots bleached. First and foremost, if you are not familiar with doing it yourself, you can ruin a closure. I have ruined the closures and I'm not talking about it. It doesn't look good because sometimes they can look good, but just over time you can start balding and you will have alopecia on your closure because you, the bleach ugly or you could take it to your stylist and your collars gon na hook it up for you On, if you're going to do it yourself, I say: read, read read and research is even if you do those two things practice still makes perfect and you just might peel time. So the next type of closure I want to talk about is the closure that I'm actually wearing right now, and this is a silk based closure and a suit based closure is basically a different type of material is right here, and the hair has actually been implanted Into this fabric right here - and it looks like it's coming out of a scalp, so there's no need to bleach any wets. You can pluck if you want a more natural hairline, but basically this is free parting anywhere. You can part it and it looks like a natural scalp. That is the kind of closure that I'm wearing right now right here is the end of the lace and wear the silk base starts so as you're applying that you can kind of see that line of demarcation. I don't know if you can see that I don't know if my camera will pick it up. Okay, the best way for me to show you what I'm talking about is I had to put her on Chicago MO. So here is what the scalp looks like very. Very natural free parting, but when you get up very very close to the front, you can definitely see that line right there, and that is where the Swiss lace ends and the silk face begins. So it kind of looks like a wig cap underneath so unless your stylist is very, very skilled with them tweezers, then this is going to be an issue for some okay, here's a better view. You see that line basically the closure that I'm wearing right now, but on my closure I opted to have my not bleached so that that line of demarcation wasn't so drastic thanks to Quaffle. Oh the thing that I noticed about the closure. The soap base closures is their color um it. This is a little bit more of my skin tone right now, but sometimes they can be a little bit on the taupe side, a little bit grayish as well. Mine was a little bit grey. So what I used was a little bit of foundation on my part to make it more realistic, and I also have been a form that you can use T to dye your silk base closure. So if you were looking to darken the scalp of your closure, you can do it with tea and I suppose you would just dip your unit in and take it out a little bit at a time and leave it longer. If you wanted a little bit darker. So that you stain your lace now, if you wanted to dye your hair - and you didn't want to screw up your lace, I learned this little trick. Get you some got to be glued okay, it is some serious hair gel and it's almost like glue. I'Ve heard securing their lace fronts with this stuff. It'S a bad image, am so get you some got to be glued and you just smear it all on your lace and you wait till it hardens and dries, and it will harden believe me. I'Ve used this before and then you can dye your hair and not have to worry about destroying your lace, because once you stay in your lace, a dark dark color, it can be very, very hard and difficult to remove without destroying your learn. Now, listen to the last type of closure. I'M going to be talking about today is also a lace closure, they're, identical except the difference between these two is one is a middle part, lace and a middle part place. You can lay it any way you want. You can put it in the middle of your head, you put on the side of your head, but this is a three-way part lace. This is a little bit more versatile um again, you can always change the part on your own lace. Just with a little bit of water and scorp, but this comes already plucked for you and ready to go. So this is a three-way closure. It'S kind of hard to see now so help me explain what better a three-way closure I gotcha co-op Allah. So I just did some real real sad little twisty braids of the year, just to show you how the closure comes. I didn't plug this at all. This is the way that the closure is going to come to you when you get a three-way closure. So there you go, the only thing about this closure is that braiding pattern is key because you want it to look as natural as possible. I'M just gon na take your braids out, so I can show you that it's versatile, it's more versatile, I think than just the regular. So you decide one day, you've won out side part. Then you got a side part or if you decide that you want a middle part, then BOOM you don't have to go through a whole lot of you know: wetting your closure and then and using a brush to brush it down or using gels. So that's all the closes that I have to show you. I know that, probably in the future they're going to come out with some space, alien technology type of closures - stuff, I haven't even heard of yet because innovations are happening new every single day. But I love closures just because I don't have to worry about my leaving because it's summertime and I'm not trying to blend my natural curl windowsill castrating them. Poachers are also wonderful for those who, like to dye their hair, crazy, colors or wear their hair, crazy colors, and you don't want to damage your hair. That'S it that's! All I have now will give you links and all the information about all the different closures that I just talked about in this video in the description box below you guys later.

CookingWithCarolyn: Love your videos! Sally Hansen's Airbrush Legs works wonders on the "scalp" of silk base closures and it won't harm or stick to the hair. It basically stains the closure the color you need it to be. Choose the right shade that will match your scalp/skin tone, part and apply it with a brush or your fingers, let it set for about 15 to 20 minutes and then shampoo the closure. It's worked for me when I've purchased silk base closures.

Jenn McG: Awesome Michelle! Thank you so much for this very helpful tutorial! I'm new to the whole closure thing so this helps me decide what to get for sure!! ☺️

Just Me: Oh wow!!!! I NEVER ever bleach the knots on a closure of my clients hair, silk or lace. I ALWAYS find their skin tone (foundation or concealer) and make the closure a little lighter, apply a small amount to cover the wholes of the closure then lock it in with a clear polish. Not only does it look like it growing from their scalp but you then have the freedom to dye it, cut it, part it, etc... If you are bleaching the knots and don't know what you are doing, you could ruin the closure. Be careful

Mika RenaY: Very informative !!! Thanks, I was just thinking about getting a closure for the first time , I will try it out and see how it works for me, but I would definitely do my research first like you suggested
