How To Replace Serpentine Belt On Mercedes

I have the new belt with me without wasting anytime. Let'S get started existing belt, which is gone bad, I'm going to remove it and replace with the new one. So if you notice that the belt start to break like this, so it's so broken, so I'm going to replace it. So I have the new belt and now we're going to install it first thing: is you put the belt on your alternator like this then goes on top of this pulley and then goes on the side pulley. So once we put the new belt, you have to make sure that you start from here the easiest way to do it to start from the alternator. You just put it like. This then run the belt all the way on the top pulley then keep going. So you keep following my finger and you go to this main pulley and then you go down all the way at the bottom, which is right here, the air conditioning. Then you come here, then you turn the belt right here. Then you give a loop like this. Then you run the belt here and then you go down here. This is the alternator belt. One end goes here like this and the other end I showed to you how it's routed, and now we are pretty much in good shape, and this is the belt going to go on the tensioner like this. So the way we're going to slide it in I'm going to use a ratchet 17-millimeter socket, you need it. So once I'm going to use the ratchet this pulley gon na come down like this, you see how the pulley is coming like that, then this belt will slide into this.
