How To Cut Lace On Lace Front Wigs | Tiktok Zigzag Scissors Hack | Alexa'S Wig Series #11

I have a very exciting, quick little update video for you today for the wig series. We are diving right on back in there. Remember that been a minute time for some updates. We are living learning growing. Things have changed since, like 2015., whenever the heck, i started the wig series 2016, whatever that was, we've learned some things. Thank you, tik tok. I have an updated way that i have been treating my lace front, wigs, how i, how i have been trimming, the lace off cutting the lace off of the front of them. I have changed my methods a little bit, so i wanted to kind of update you. Let you know where i'm at um as far as techniques and things that i have been doing so that's what we're doing today, quick little vid catching you up, saying hello wearing a wig. I appreciate you: okay, okay, so for our little wig video today we're just doing a little update for how i cut the lace on my lace front wigs. So i have a wig here to demo on today. This is from i'm style wig. This is the oh shoots winter, that's all i know of the name, winter purple roots silver wig. Oh, my god. This is gon na, be so cute. Okay, anyway, it's not about that. Today. We are here to talk about cutting the lace of our lace front. Wigs heim style has super de-duper, pretty soft lace and has quickly become one of my favorite brands that make lace front wigs. Some of these can be really like sharp, almost and like stiff, like rockstar, has pretty stiff lace. I don't have a new rockstar wigs on hand that doesn't have the lace cut already, but maybe you can see here that this one is like it's not going to bend quite as much rather than this one that is like super bendy and flexible and soft. They each have like their own perks, there's not one that, i would say, is right versus wrong. Uh, the stiffer ones tend to lay flatter on your head, they're, less likely to like bubble up and wrinkle because they hold their shape so like. If it fits your head bright, it should be nice and flat and stay that way. I find them a little bit less comfortable than the super soft ones. These are just so soft, they're, so soft, but then, like the softer lace like this, if it's not laying perfectly flat on your face, it can kind of ripple, but it is so much softer and it does blend easier into your skin in my opinion, so it All comes down to preference, really. I love the lace from i'm style. Okay, that's my review. It looks very cute can't wait to see on my head, but first we got ta cut that lace for my updated lace, cutting techniques. It'S so super duper easy. When i started doing this, i was like oh my gosh. I feel so silly that i haven't even tried this. I actually never even thought about it until i saw it on tick tock. I saw a tick tock from a dolls extensions about this lace, cutting hack at least. I think that was the very first place i saw it ever since then. I'Ve seen like a five hundred thousand other tick tocks. You know they're talking about, like you watched this video a bunch, here's 700 more of these, so i think that was the first one i saw, and i was like wait. Yes, obviously, yes, so i think the theory here is that it is easier for the eye to pick up on straight lines, like your eye, wants to be constantly id straight lines or clean lines. So when you have a straight cut in your laces, it can be easier for the eye to identify the lace and see the lace. Then, if you cut it in a pattern that is not straight across like zigzaggy or curly lines or uneven lines, i think really, honestly, the best um strat would probably be to hand cut uneven unnatural hard to follow lines along the hairline. I think that's probably the best bet, but we're gon na go with something that is easy, that everybody can do. Everybody can manage it and master it. It takes two seconds and that is getting yourself a pair of zigzag scissors. This just cuts the line in a zigzag for you, so they are more uniform than if you were to just like go in there and freehand it. But still it's like a drastic improvement from just straight across scissors. It'S just harder to see it's harder for cameras to pick up. I found that, like in my selfies with my phone, especially it just like, disappears it's so good, it's so exciting. I just had to share it with you in case you haven't seen this. I just we are just passing the info along. I got these scissors, i think, on like amazon or something they were very cheap. I will put a link to the ones that i have in the description box. It is not like sponsored or affiliated or anything they're. Just the pair that i picked out after watching these tick tocks, so let's take a look at how this cuts. I'M excited. I'Ve only done this to a few of my wigs so far and i've loved it every time. So i'm excited to see how it goes on an iron style wig and we're just gon na freaking. Do it now and see how it goes so here is our wig, our super softly. Looking so nice, here's how the knots and the lace look from i'm style. All super duper up close and uh, while we're here. This is what the zigzag scissors look like: um up all close they're gon na cut this triangle pattern into our lace, so to cut the lace with the zigzag scissors, it's literally just as easy as cutting lace with regular straight scissors. Like you, do it exactly the same way, but the design on the scissors cut it in a little zigzag, easy peasy, so um, i'm just gon na cut a look at the hair light here and i'm gon na cut. As close to the knots as i am comfortable, doing and don't even be afraid, don't be afraid to hit some of uh the hair, it is totally okay. If you accidentally take out a strand or two like you will never miss it. I promise you. There is differing opinions on how much lace to leave on a lace, front wig, but personally uh. I generally prefer to cut it as close up to the hair as possible. So here is my new hairline and, as you can see, it's much more of like a jagged edge. Okay, okay, here i'll show you this here is a comparison of straight across lace. You can see it a little bit there versus this. This zigzag. That is bonkers, that is bananas. I can't even see that at all like what, how does that work? Freaking optical, illusion, mind, powers that is so weird man, oh my god and a side note that i'm probably just gon na go ahead and do right now, uh! You can come back in on wigs that already have a straight cut on along the hairline and just cut some sections out of it with the zigzag scissors like just to break up that straight line a little bit, you don't need the whole zigzag. You can just do little bits and pieces. It'S helpful. It'S helpful! Okay! I am so ready to put this on my head right now and see how it looks. Okay, oh you know what i bet this wig would be so cute, like, oh my god, it's already so cute, oh, my god. It'S so cute a little top knot. How precious is that? Oh, my goodness, i should probably glue this down right for the sake of the video. Oh, my god, i never glue my wigs though it just i'm. I just can't be bothered, but usually, but for the sake, this is a lace. Video list. Do it right. Let me go get my glue and we're going to glue this wig on really the only time you can ever see. It is if it lifts at all or if the lace doesn't match your skin, which you can use um like foundations and concealers and stuff to help the lace match better. If it doesn't match you right right away right out of the bag, we are just gon na glue you on down. I haven't glued a wig down in so long. This is actually so satisfying to just watch it melt away. Oh, maybe i should do this more often. I also like to leave a little bit of baby hairs out too in the front like this kind of just like just so. You have some like kind of more natural like fly-aways, and then i also like to make my ears peek out of a wig. If i can, i just i think it's cute, i like it like a little elf princess. Well, this is just precious. My loves. I feel so cute in this little hair style, so uh since discovering this, i kind of been switching back and forth between the zigzag scissors and um, using straight scissors, very, very, very close to the hairline. It just depends on the wig of which way i feel like doing it that day, uh, because you know there's not a wrong way. You can just do it, however, you like, but i just wanted to share this along with you in case this seems like something that you might be interested in a little quick, quick, wig hack from tick tock, the tick tock wig community and zigzag scissors to cut Your lace - and i want to do another quick, shout out to a doll's extensions on tick. Tock is where we first saw this hack um, i'm not sure where it like originated from. There are like hundreds and hundreds of videos on this, so i'm not exactly positive. If you guys know, i would love to credit the original idea haver, but that is where i first saw it, and you blew my mind right. So is that the end wow uh we just zoomed right on through this.
