Hey y'all welcome back to my channel. Today'S video is going to be one where I show you all how to get lint without the way for those who are new. I am Mary and I have been natural for over five years, and I was one of those Naturals that believe that my hair could grow super long, that my hair could be like mahogany curls or from my natural sisters, but y'all alive. That is genetic, no matter what you do, there is no miracle-working solution. That'S going to cause you to have extremely long hair without genetics. It'S that's a major factor of it. I improved. I have a dojo for over five years, as I just shared, and my hair has not gotten past, maybe about braless. It has not reached my tail. I was that person who thought you know. I'M gon na have waist length. I'M gon na have fade. I'M gon na do everything that it takes to make sure my hair is healthy and it grows your your will grow and you will retain length, but there is, I believe, a cap to your growth. So if you're like me and you're one of those people who once linked - and you don't have time to be waiting years and trying all these different products and treatments and solutions that people are so called claiming will grow your hair super long, you can do it With extensions and have it look so so natural, so what are having currently is a new part, but if you want a different option for extensions, you can use clip-ins, you can use a full wig and not have to leave any of your hair out. This looks like it grew out of my scalp, because y'all a B it I also leave out so I'm gon na show you all how I install how I blended my hair, which is 4b 4c texture, to match this texture from her to be here. We'Re going to do the install the defining of the curls everything's together, so let's get right to it. This is what the box looks like very sturdy box and I actually reuse these they're so awesome. The unit that I currently have one is in length 14 and this one that I'm going to show you all is Inlet 18 and, as you can see, it's very dark. I hope I won't have to dye my hair again to match this hair. I got it in color 1b and if you get one B, it's gon na be rich, see how dark that is. So this is what a new part looks like you have this section in the middle that you can actually cut out, and this is where your leave out is going to go. You have a comb near the parting area. You also have two combs on the sides and there's a cone at the bottom. You also get an adjustable strap. The one that I got is the middle part construction, but they also have a side part. Now, although this is a middle part, I'm going to be doing a side part with this particular unit. This texture is actually three c4a, but I'm able to get my 4b 4c hair to match. I'M gon na show you all how. So if you have a kinky texture like mine, you can still get your hair oblique very well. So this is in length 18 and again. This is one B, but you can't get it in natural black and if you get it in natural color, it's gon na. Look more so like this. So if you get it like this, it's gon na have like a brown undertone, but still black. So I'm gon na wash it we're gon na define the curls and also we're going to work on blending. My hair and I'm gon na take this one off so that I can show you all how I do that alright y'all. So the first thing that we need to do is wash the hair I like to use warm water. When doing so. I rinse the hair first just to make sure that it's wet and pliable, and then I like to use this Aussie seven in one conditioner. It'S very inexpensive and also officiate, so I spread a generous amount on the hair and I'm just kind of using my fingers in order to distribute it and once I have a generous amount, and I feel that it's enough then I'll wet the hair. Only gon na wet it - I'm not gon na rinse the product out right away, because I want to use the product in order to define the kernels, so I'm gon na put it back under the water and again this is just a wet the hair and then I'M gon na grab a medium sized section and begin using my Felicia Leatherwood detangling brush, and this is very good for thick and currently here. The bristles glide really nicely through the hair because of how widely spaced they are, and it creates a great deal of definition. If you want to make sure that your curls are well defined, using a detangling brush is a good idea. I'M gon na continue this process using medium sections all over the wig. Once I have completed that, then I'm gon na begin to rinse out all of the products and begin working with my styler. Keep in mind that, because this is a tightly curled texture of hair, you will have some shedding. So this is the amount of shedding that I experience, which is completely normal. I'M just gon na rinse out the product and now we're gon na begin, applying the styler, the styler that I typically use and it's also a staple of mine. It'S a curl, defining glaze by dark and lovely. However, I was out of that, so I had to use the define and shine custard. I also paired it with the communing butter. I did not like the results of those two products, so I wouldn't recommend it, but I started with the Oliveira G's. I put it in a water bottle and then I began spraying that on the hair I like to start with aloe vera juice, because it is a natural humectant which helps to preserve moisture in the hair. I typically apply this and the co defining glaze, but I've been using it so much and I ran out, but I did go to the store to get it the next day now I'm gon na have the aloe vera juice and I'm gon na begin. Applying the Cantu, codified and custard onto the hair - and this is supposed to create a great deal of shine and also hold, but once that your dried y'all, it was just crunchy. The hair was well-defined, but it was really crunchy. It also wasn't shiny, like it was when it was wet, so I was quite disappointed the day after once it dried, but no worries the co defining glaze fixed. All that so y'all learned from my mistake have curl defining glaze on debt. You need that product. That'S the only product, along with the aloe vera juice, that you'll need. You put that all over the hair, using your detangling brush to define the curls and you just let it air dry and it's gon na look amazing. So it's the next day the hairs all dry and I need to be in applying the all-natural car defining glaze. I'M gon na give you all a 360 of what the hair looks like pretty nice, but not up to standard. So I'm gon na take micro, Tashan and glaze. This is what it looks like and y'all. It smells good and it is so moisturizing. I love love, love, this stuff use it on your natural hair too. So I'm gon na start by spraying the ILA vera juice. On the hair, you don't have to completely start over and wash the hair and then apply the product. You can build this product onto the ones that you had already pried previously. I love that about this product that it's buildable, I'm gon na apply a generous amount of this product all over the hair and then allow for it to air dry overnight. You won't notice that immediate difference when using this product on the hair versus any other product on these extensions, this product really penetrates through the hair and really helps to maintain moisture I've applied this product, one that many of my units and I'll come back. Maybe a week later and the hair still feels soft and it also feels very moisturized. So this is what my natural hair looks like it isn't a tapered cut, I just washed it so it's fairly damp, so I'm gon na work on prepping, my hair for this. Particular, u part and I'm gon na, show you all how I do it. I am gon na be wearing a side part for this install, so I've already made my side part after completing that process. I need to create an L shape on each opposing side of my part. Just so the? U part: wig has an area to securely be placed around after making the L part on one side, I'm going to moisturize the hair in the back and braid it up in large, chunky, braids, and then I'm gon na pin that down and proceed to work on The L part on the other side: these are the two products that I'm gon na, be using on my leave out the crow, defining glaze and also got city glue and yeah. I know that's a very strong jail but y'all. It creates a great deal of hold for my hair, especially because I'm in a very humid environment you can use eco styler gel to appear with the curl defining glaze. It beat like that also works for me, but for Houston weather. I need something stronger, so I just start with the curl defining glaze and then I proceed to add a generous amount of the gossipy glue. I'M gon na define my pros with it and then I'm also gon na stretch my hair by using a stocking cap to place over my hair once I've actually complete it, the slit down, so I'm gon na slip everything down and then I'm gon na pull my Hair taut around the back of my hair and then put the stocking cap on and you walkin watch that process, I'm gon na do it on this side and on the other side of the part. After we have slipped everything down, I began wrapping my satin scarf around my head. I allow this to set overnight and once we have dents all we are left with stretched hair. That is ready to be blended. With that gorgeous shoe part. Doesn'T this look good? The curls are defined and it's really stretched, which is awesome, and this is gon na blend so nicely with that here before installing the new part, I like to put a stocking cap over my hair in the back and then I'm gon na proceed to work on Installing the hair now looks so much better, but right now we need to go in and cut out the area where the? U is after we've done that I am gon na adjust the straps. I got my unit in a size small, but I feel like I need a little bit more of a judgement so that it fit perfectly so now, I'm just gon na install the. U part around where the leave out is, and you will see how the? U shaped kind of forms itself around that Aled that we created you're gon na insert the combs everywhere that they are provided, and then you can begin using your fingers to blend your hair in with the? U part thanks so much for stopping by my channel. I hope that you all enjoyed this video be sure to LIKE comment and subscribe. I will see you all in my next video guys, bye,

Michelle Maloney: There is nobody who does her given hair units like Mary! I'm glad that you have shed light on the struggles of achieving lenght with natural hair, it's really hard for some of us! Thanks to companies like her given hair for giving a sister some hope! As always well done content

Samantha Mangrum: That stretching with the stocking cap was the best idea EVER!!!!!! I can always get my hair to match but the shrinkage is always my downfall. Thanks so much I'm subbing right NOW

LACHELLE SESSOMS: Great tutorial! I recently ordered the u-part wig...Can’t wait for her to arrive and use the tips n tricks in your video. Thanks Mary!!!❤️

MoTheCrown: Wow! This is your exact texture!! So beautiful you are amazing at doing hair!!

KabyKai: Wow another flawless install. I love this wig

Msnaturally Mary: Hi Family! I just realized that I’ve been Natural much longer... Wow! This time is flying y’all! I big chopped for the first time in June of 2012 & my second big chop was last March Hope that you enjoy this video! How long have y’all been Natural and how is your hair growth coming along? Leave a comment ❤️

Ms. Michelle Agalte: You are so detailed and thorough and I love how you show EVERY STEP and give your honest opinion. I know HGH are blessed to have you cuz we are blessed to have you represent their brand so well. GREAT JOB!

Destiny J-K: Yasss! You did that! Love it, love it, love it. I will definitely be doing this one. Officially inspired!

IAmEstellaHeart: Gorgeous but wigs are addictive as all get out. I wore them for better part of a year, to the point where I didn’t like the look of my own hair. Over last few months I have been wearing my own hair in twist updos and such. I love it again it’s so soft and easy. No it’s not waist length but that’s okay, I have been natural 3 years and my is shoulder length in its natural state. I have never straightened

Sassee 99: Looks great! Gorgeous wig! You did a good job

TMTTucker: Wow, this seems super easy and definitely up my alley. Questions: I notice you used a conditioner to initially wash the unit. Would you (ever) use a shampoo to wash the wig later if it needed to be cleansed and revitalized? Please provide details on the products you would use if they differ. Also, regarding the leave out with the Got 2 be Glued, does it make the hair slightly hard or stiff, but still stylable? It seemed like it had great hold, but was easily blended. Just want to confirm. Thanks!

Cyia Slappy: Part of hair growth is definitely genetic. One side of my family has women with mostly short, thin hair, despite them taking great care of their hair. On the other side of my family, all the females have always had long, thick, 4a/4b hair like me, whether we take extra special care or not. The rate at which hair grows as well as strand thickness, texture, and tensile strength are all contributing genetic factors to how long one's hair will grow. However, we can greatly aid hair retention with moisturizers, oils, protective styling, and careful handling of our crowns of glory.

AugustLady77: Beautiful as usual Sis! I love HerGivenHair. I’ve worn my upart several times but I found it to be annoying because it was SO BIG! Either I have a little head or they can’t get the measurements right. I ordered a custom unit and it was still too big. Because of that I just got a sew in with their wefts

angela mcclarin: Beautiful! I love the idea of using the stocking cap to stretch your natural hair.

Jess: Mary, you have finally sold me on the curl defining glaze! I'm going to try for myself. Great job as usual, your hair blends beautifully with the unit. ✔✔

Patricia K O: Woahhh this looks so good! Looks so natural and gorgeous✨✨

Thank you I love following you Have a Blessed Day...oh yeah I'm on THE way to the beauty supply to find me a unit so I can #GETMYSLAYONNNN

Doris Balogun: I love this look on you. I will try it out this weekend

lady2step1: So beautiful , I’ve got about a year of saving to get this wig

Kever Starks: Yes yes yes,, genetics play a big role in hair growth, the amount of time it takes to style it,and the outcome of the style. I tell my friend all the time that maintaining nice natural hair is hard, people seem to think "I'm natural so I don't have to do all of that",,,wrong,,you have to do sooo much more which is the reason the relaxer was invented anyway

Ilene Abraham: Yesss sis I feel you I've been natural for five years to the struggle is real

gabrielle: Glad to see someone else like myself. I also do everything by the book and have a hard time growing long hair!

Tanya Jones: I ❤️❤️❤️ this U part Mary! As usual, you always come through with some awesome hair . Very nice & natural. Where can I buy the polka dot bow head-wrap? So cute

Kézia da Hora: Sempre linda

Damsel In A Dress: Love, love, love it, but that second wig costs $500 at Her Given Hair! Their products are amazing. But ouch.

Nadege Dasne: That was amazing I need to use these products to stretch my curls

Unchain your Brain: This is really pretty on you, sista girl.TFS ❤

Sunnye Daize: This wig is as much work as my hair! But it's pretty. There are actuality quite a few herbs you can use to get over the growth hump. The simpler your hair care, the better.

Beauti FAHT: I've never seen the strectching hair with cap trick. That's awesome! Must use!

Dadya Russki: Okay, your wig looks amazing, but to be honest...so does your natural hair. I am so amazed at how absolutely beautiful Black Womens' hair can be. And, if you don't mind me saying you yourself are a pretty amazing looking women. I think you look like an actress. Great video.

Shun Williams: Gorgeous I love it

Rosangela Alvarez G: This is gorgeous

Deidre Weatherspoon-Taylor: The hair is BEAUTIFUL! And you are Soooo pretty!

Els: Your natural hair is beautiful. The wig looks good too.

Ada Mbata: This is a nice looking wig. Love the look! I wonder if homemade flaxseed gel is a stronger hold than got2bglue. Creme of nature has a hair snot that might work as well. I also have 4c hair, maybe 4b in the front.

angelheartonline: Just to add my two cents. I’ve been natural for ten years and my hair has not grown past my shoulders. However my daughters hair is beyond bra strap length.... is this her better genetics? Not really. I just take care of her hair WAY better than I take care of my own. The truth of my lack of length is honesty. I’m honest when I say I really don’t do all the things my hair needs to take care of my hair properly. Im not willing to put in the necessary work my hair needs to retain serious length. All of those naturals she named put in serious work to get that length. I just don’t have the time or inclination to work my hair like a part time job. It’s just not that serious to me. At the end of the day it’s just hair and if I want length I’ll just go out and buy it.

keishla spivey: I purchased the dark & lovely curl defining glaze , thanks for the tip

CANDYLIPS: I wish i could afford that wig...it so beautiful

Keep Healing Sis! 🦋 QuietStormzzzSpeaks : Absolutely stunning

Droosy G: Just Wow, ma’am...gorgeous!

sugarmill2000: You look so beautiful with/without make-up.... long/short hair

BREENA B.: Beautiful!!!

D H: Beautiful!!!

DeeDee : Wow! Amazing! I need to invest in a wig like yesterday.

Tika R.: it matches your hair so well! I love your necklace where can I get one?

Kierra Lanice Wray: You had me at "Houston"!!! Not only are we curl twins but I havent been able to find products to hold my hair since I moved here from Michigan! Going to walmart NOW!

Sharon Monroe: Luv it gonna get me one thanks for sharing

Neecee Smith: "like, like, like, like.." this video!!! Was just watching your video on how to style coily clip-ins from hergivenhair and was wondering how you manipulated your own hair to blend so effortlessly.. and I saw THIS video, clicked on it, and look at God!! Lol, exactly what I needed to see! Can't wait to try this on my hair with the curl glaze and I'm gonna try my gorilla snot which works well for my hold, but if that doesn't work I'll try the G2BG gel. THANKS MARY!! ❤❤❤

Christna Stubbs: I completely agree. Genetics plays a huge role in hair growth. I always say that I wish more naturals would understand this. The wig is gorgeous by the way!

Lori Leday #AnointedHairSalon: Beautiful!

S. Crockett: JUST SAT DOWN ON MY LUNCH BREAK & INSTANTLY CLICKED ON VIDEO AS SOON AS IT POPPED UP...LOOOOVE YOUR HAIR MRS. BENNETT✔✔

lyz18: All these hergivenhair wigs are bomb, just wish I could afford it, I'm itching for one they are soooooo expensive. One day some how I will own one

Marissa JOAT: You did an awesome job love love .. new sub

Eat Well Live Longer: You're correct. Although all hair grows long no matter the texture, race or gender. *_Genetics determine "How Long" that hair will grow... mid-back, tailbone, thigh-length, calf-legth Or down to the ankles. Genetics also play a role in the 'thickness' of the hair and the Texture of the hair._* This is something that's been proven scientifically‒not some wild guess or assumption. *_It's best to take proper care of your hair to achieve the maximum length and fullness_*_ and Not compare it to others._

Skye Blue: WOW just wow. You did that girl. Totally looks like it's your hair.

ThePrettyMiss: Hi mary! Thank you so much for your tutorial. Would you have choose a xs wig cap if you could? Im torn between the small or xs for a snug fit. My head circumference is 21inch

5x7m: Great tutorial! What's the name of the moisturizer you used all over your natural hair?

Sakina Moss: Girrrrl my natural hair is already close to that but doggone it I'd sport that!! Lol.. In already gonna follow one of your crochet styles cause mines is in "bye falisha " braids and I don't want to take them down for an up coming event ... I cant wait

Rel Rellz: Yes! Try Rice Water. Maybe you're not retaining length. The best thing to do with our hair is nothing. I literally only put olive oil and water on my hair and it flourishes. I never clipped my ends and I've been natural for 4 years. It above my bra strap but since I started rice water it grew past my bra strap in a month. Try it out! Record it for results to Show your followers! You're gorgeous btw.

kw0304: Definitely a cap to length. It erks me when beauticians claim your hair won't grow until you do xyz... SMH. All the while wasting money and time. Hair looks great Sis.

Saint of God!: Nicely done!

pumkin2k2: Finally, my hair twin… How did you get bra strap length hair ? I feel like my hair has been the same length forever

beautiful dreama: Please help. Would you recommend kinky or coily for a more natural hair look?

BeautyWithinKakra: Mary is this u-part one length or is it layered (18,16,14) like your first wig?

Hatin' Allday74: Very pretty ..now I know what to put on my natural hair. I relocated to Houston. The humidity is a killer .

ShaniaLeann: I want this wig .....no actually i need these bomb curls.

Blue Dolphin: Beau-ti-ful ....hands down❤❤❤

Proverbs 31 Womann: Love it

Protected by God: Whoo fooled me! Thought for sure it was all yours! Great job

Diahann Smith: Stunning

Queen Knotti Styles: I love a good natural style! Any hair you suggest?

Shirreca Garner: I was just browsing but you have a new fan love love love your hair styles
